We have renewed our lease 3 times!! The management and amenities and property are great value for your money. The owners are always keeping the property well maintained and up to date!! There are many floor plans to choose from to fit your family needs!! And they have monthly resident appreciation type parties. I have always felt very safe and secure here!! If you have any maintenance issue they are right on it!! Easy access to freewaysβ€”Seattle and east side!! If you’re like πŸ‘πŸ» king for an apartment with great staff and amenities you should definitely take a tour!! I actually lived her in 1995 and when we decided to downsize from a house this was our first choice and it did not disappoint!!Sincerely,Deborah Lewis b-101

Overall my experience living at Echo Mountain has been good. The community works hard to keep things pleasant and clean. The pool is great in the summer and the gym helps me keep my 6 pack fabulous;) There is a sense of belonging as the kids play together and even staff engages the youngsters by letting them help out. Work orders are handled timely and staff try to be friendly and helpful. I don’t have any urgent concerns and when something comes up the staff is easy to talk to that’s why I am giving 5 βοΈβ€˜S.

We just renewed our lease for another year, so take that as a vote of confidence in the PM and ownership team.Kudos to the new PM team. They are working hard to make this property a really great place to live and it shows. After a nearly two years of living here, through the pandemic, I have seen and experienced significant improvement in our quality of life here. As the improvements to the property continue, I would recommend this property to my friends. The amenities, like the pool and fitness center are top notch and well maintained. Package delivery and security is well managed with package lockers and easy, secure access to picking up our delivered parcels.PM is responsive and maintenance requests, when presented through the resident web portal, are addressed in a timely manner and performed well by the maintenance team. Phone call requests are also handled similarly.PM staff is professional and friendly. Thank you for that. The PM team, have frequent resident appreciation events like food trucks, pool parties, Italian soda socials, handing out candy on Halloween to the children. These little efforts help with the sense of community here. The apartments are large and well appointed with several floor plans to choose from. Lease pricing is a great value. You will be hard-pressed to find a better value for the money anywhere else in the market. I know this because we looked for someplace else to live prior to the new PM team working here.Did I mention that the new PM team are FANTASTIC! ?OK, here are some things to consider.- Parking is a challenge if you do not pay for a parking space. However, the charge for a reserved space is affordable and easy to obtain. Just get an affordable reserved parking spot and get on with it already.- This is a dog friendly property, with convenient and well placed dog waste stations. For the love of Pete, please utilize these free resources.Im hopeful that the new PM team will continue to work hard to make Echo Mountain a great place to live. However, challenges remain.Final thoughts. Echo Mountain is a good place to live, whether you have a family or not. Every place has room for improvement, as we all do. If youre looking for great value for your rental dollars, I would certainly recommend Echo Mountain as a great place to live, comfortably.

Echo Mountain has one of the most uncoordinated teams I’ve ever seen in my leasing years also working in the industry. They literally went into my apartment when I specifically said No Permission to Enter. Legally they have violated my rights as a tenant and seem to have little to no interest to make things right. Even after the incident, they removed our parking paint to label that I have an assigned spot that I literally PAY for monthly but now any person could just park there whenever.Biggest mistake moving here, waiting for our lease to be over so we can move out.Don’t let the glam photo on the website fool you, they didn’t even clean my home thoroughly after moving in. Hair, screw hiding the carpet, old toys. Anything and everything…

My husband and I decided to move here because we were looking for a bigger place not only for ourselves for for our new puppy who was 6 months old at the time. Thankfully we found echo mountain (montclaire at the time) and the place was wonderful we needed to convert an extra bedroom into an office which this place provided, two car garage for our cars and the leasing staff was so friendly. I worked in leasing before so I know how some people are nice for the sale but Mikhaila was genuinely an overall great person. We look forward to our continued stay here. The one thing I hope for soon a fenced off area for dogs.Arthi Chand

I love the proximity of Montclair heights to grocery stores, restaurants, and it is still secluded and safe! The staff are very kind, responsive, and prompt about giving notice about office closures, maintenance work, etc. Packages are easy to get! Parking could be better for guests but other tenants usually take them. I definitely appreciate how Montclair has treated their residents during the pandemic and I’m glad I moved here.

I recently moved here in September from another apartment complex because I really did not like the management . I would say the management here has been very helpful and good at communicating when the office won’t be open to walk-in traffic due to Covid-19! I also love my apartment and the location! My biggest complaint is parking. There are not many guest parking spots which makes it hard to have visitors without fear of them being towed and the guest parking spots that do exist are always being occupied by residents who I have seen leave their car for weeks!

Echo Mountain, formerly known as Montclair Heights management, front desk service, and maintenance are great people and are trying their best to make this a great place. I am speaking for the double digits apartments, or what I like to call the slums. We all pay the same price or more in this area compared to the single digits. The place is a mad house, there is no parking unless you pay extra a month. If not people park on the side of the building blocking the flow of traffic. The reason is there are only 6 spot for visitors but these are really parking for people who didnt want to pay the 100 a month for reserve parking. Even if you reserve a spot there might be a chance that your spot will be taken. So your best bet is the garage. The people dont care about the noise violations or times. HH bumps his music with the bass so high that 5 people have complained but its during the day so the complex says its fine even if you cant hear your TV, think or sleep. The JJ complex has fight 3 times a week and cops get called. Gun shot are heard commonly throughout the area. so about 80% of us keep to ourselves because of the car theft and car break ins. We built a neighborhood watch so if something out of the norm because we know most of each other here. So we look out for our selfs. But if you like kids spitting at there parents, not clothed and trash /parking violation please look at another place like grammarly or somewhere safier that has a park, dog park, a safer pool, better trash times (here they dont pick up on the weekends when everyone makes the most trash) Its not worth it trust me. My neighbor car was broken into twice and his ex wifes car was stolen.

I love my apartment and the surrounding community, but there are just some pet peeves about the living space. My dishwasher has not functioned properly since I moved here and there seems to always be water leaking out into the dining area from the kitchen. Maintenance has come to look at it many times but even after finally replacing our dishwasher it still seems to leak a little. Parking is also another nuisance, there have been many times where random drivers have taken my spot and I have no where to park. There are also cars who park next to my car even though it is not a spot, and it makes it hard to pull out of my space when I need to. Ive heard that the pool and jacuzzi area have not functioned for two years, so thats also something to consider for the future. Other than that the staff is overall helpful and Im happy with the affordable rates.

I have been trying to get in touch with the leasing company, Avenue 5, and will not get a response. Also, it was noted by the staff person that there was carpet damage prior to move in. I asked for a copy of what they and they won’t send it. Sounds suspicious doesn’t it. I highly do not recommend this apartment. There were ants and I lived by two unkept apartments which were likely the cause but because neither complained, the only solution was to do a bug spray again. The location and the layout of the apartment is nice. However its not worth the rent the owners are charging. The owners and management team should work on the upkeep of the apartments. There is more to an apartment than making sure the property and apartments look good. Owners need to invest in an overall upgrade on the inside and true repair and maintenance; not cosmetic repair and maintenance. The only room in the apartments that are renovated is the kitchen. The renovated apartment have faux wood floors, plantation blinds, and updated bathroom cabinets. The bathroom vanities and closet doors are outdated. The counters in the kitchen and bathroom are very inexpensive. The laminate peels very easily. I get my carpet cleaned and Im often reminded by the cleaner companies how inexpensive my carpet is. The owners need to do better for the cost of rent unless there only goal is making money regardless of how many move in and outs occur weekly.

Streets are narrow and parking can be rough. The apartments are older, but they have been renovated so look nice inside. They are really nice for the area, but they seem to change companies and managers weekly so residents just do whatever they want and dont care about the property or following the rules. It was really going downhill for awhile, and when Greystar took over management again I was ready to give notice. That being said, Kristina has done such a good job that I am considering renewing after all. So far she is the best manager we have had since Ive been here and seems to be the only one who knows what she is doing. The people shes hired also seem to be much better. Samantha in the office is very friendly and the new maintenance team is attentive and courteous. History tells me it wont last, but I hope Kristina stays as the community really needs more consistency. Also, please fix the parking!

Just ok... not great, definitely needs work. The townhouse we rent has a great layout with the bedrooms on the bottom floor, which is great for when you have noisy neighbors upstairs. Plus, we have an attached garage which is fantastic especially since there is a serious lack of parking. The home itself is older and needs baseboards, cause the drywall is literally crumbling where the carpet meets the wall. The windows are single pane, drafty and have a questionable black something growing on them. The fireplace is wood burning, and a real necessity when it gets really cold, cause the heaters they have in here can’t manage to keep this place warm enough on there own. But you can’t close the fireplace vent, so it lets in a breeze when not lit. Some of the appliances are really cheap and our dryer makes a horrible squeaking noise like it’s gonna die any minute. The front door porch is a death trap, it’s covered with a vinyl material that is super slippery when wet. My kids and loved ones have slipped and even fallen due to this. I brought it up to the old manager but she didn’t do anything about it. The doors are really drafty, you can feel the breeze come in by your feet and lots of spiders get in this way too. In the fall the spider situation is so bad that we bought our own spray just to try to keep them out as best as we could. They replaced all the toilets a few months ago, but didn’t bother to clean/paint the wall behind it, so now it just looks really gross. But I guess all of this is what makes this place more affordable then others, cause you get what you pay for, right...However, I will say that the current manager, Melissa, is a gem... she’s the real deal, she truly cares and goes out of her way to help people. We need more people like her in the world. If I was just rating her, I’d give her a 5 star review. She really is trying to improve this place!!

I am considering moving in here and came to read reviews when I saw the other persons review so I want to set the record straight.I was visiting a friend and witnessed the argument the reviewer is referring too and I called the police as well. It was really loud, disruptive and disrespectful to others that live close by. I also, thought someone was being assaulted. Why would you be upset that others tried helping when they thought you were being hurt?? Then you go online and write an unfavorable review because they stepped in to help??!! Then you put the maintenance guy down because he looks 17? So WHAT!! Hes polite and does great work. Not sure what thats all about. Anyway, dont be upset that people looked out for you, be grateful.

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with this property as it seems that after getting rid of the old manager they simply brought in someone worse. It’s been a handful of times that I have come into the office and I see the leasing staff dealing with phone call after phone call and also the people waiting to get helped, some simply to ask a question. Monday I had to wait 20 minutes just to see if I had a package. Ridiculous!!! 20 minutes is how long it took for the gal in the front to finally free up to help me. The worse part about that is that a lady who appeared to be the manager approached me and said that they would be with me shortly and then goes into a office to sit there and go on what sounded like a call to a significant other as all you hear is laughing and talking about dinner plans that evening. The last few times all I hear is that the manager is extremely busy and can’t help us at the moment but I constantly see her there and on her cell phone. Makes it hard to believe when the door is open and her conversation carries all the way out to the lobby entrance from her office.I truly feel sorry for this property and company as I am happy with my apartment but not with the manager at all. Constant promise to call back and resolve but nothing gets done. Girls in the front desk should actually be the managers as from the looks of it do everything here and are actually wanting to help and listen to my concerns. Not sure who the new company is that purchased Montclair but they should definitely reconsider who there manager is. Atleast when the old manager Kristina was there she would return emails and actually help residents out. And from the looks of other residents coming in I know I’m not the only one that is disappointed with the way the manager is neglecting its residents. Stayed originally for the comfort of my apartment but will be leaving as soon as my lease is up.

Im sorry, but if you dont live on the property how can you rate them? Do you know the maintenance man personally? Do you know the manager? Have you had a personal encounter with either of them or experienced anything other than a visit? This site is to review a company and its staff, not to put your 10 cents in on a situation that you did not witness. I too live in this building and was here the day this happened. It was in the privacy of a home. Not in a parking lot, a patio or even in any public location on the property. As a business owner myself, I take peoples view of me, my company, my staff, and our ethics very very seriously. I think this is a perfect example of an invasion of privacy first and foremost, and then a terrible response to a misunderstanding. Shannon your review seems like yet someone else putting their nose where it doesnt belong. Cassandra is right. Her privacy was violated and I agree with her that the office handled this situation incorrectly. She and her family were embarrassed and now has someone who doesnt even reside here attacking her personal review of the companies staff and approach to their residents.I personally have not met the new manager, but from what I have heard from other residence she isnt the most pleasant person. As far as the property is concerned, there has been a lot of turnover here and maintenance does take a little longer than normal to respond. I will agree with Cassandras statement that Danielle and Rochelle were an amazing team. I would hope that the new manager can uphold their business model.--

DO NOT LIVE HERE.We moved in October and we were missing light fixtures, medicine cabinets were broken, and they were painting the outside doors. None of the fixtures or cabinets have been replaced even though we were told they would be by the end of the week. When they painted, they removed the seals on the door. They removed them by pushing the seals through when the door was shut and locked, therefore breaking the deadbolt (the only form of lock on the doors). Our door now either doesnt lock, or our key wont turn in it from the outside so we spend up to 10 minutes trying to get in to our own house. When it rains or they pressure-wash the balcony outside of our apartment, the entire floor floods. The mailboxes have been broken into multiple times with mail stolen. They then stay broken and open for weeks. When you call the office to try and get something fixed, they say theyll send someone out (if they even answer the phone and you dont get disconnected) yet they never do.We were told we had 1 spot included in with our apartment and we could pay to have another. Come to find out, 23 only have 1 spot that we have to pay for, and the original one we had is not actually ours. There is hardly any guest/unassigned parking. The floors in the kitchen/dinning room (probably the entire apartment) are not level. Our cabinet full of dished and glass bottles nearly fell over shattering everything. Even if you have one of the remodeled apartments it is not worth it. $1835 for a 2 bedroom? No thanks.

At the very least 4 times per week someone parks their vehicle so that it’s blocking my entrance to my garage and it’s a tight squeeze for me to either enter or exit my garage or they will park their vehicle directly in front of my garage so that I am completely blocked from entering or exiting my garage!!! My next door neighbor smokes marijuana practically every-freakin’-day and she ridiculously believes that if she smokes it in her downstairs bathroom with the bloody-fan on the smoke and fumes will magically dissipate! Thanks to her ridiculous belief my apartment smells like marijuana!!! Maintenance response time is practically nonexistent! Don’t bother putting in maintenance requests as they will most likely be ignored or if repeatedly requested it will be handled sort of!! Reaching someone in the front office is impossible either by phone or in person. It does get a little loud at times and parking was terrible (we had to rent a garage be on-street was insane). But for the price, we thought it was good. Our exchanges with management was good but man, do have a high turn-over rate. In our 6 month stay, we saw two groundkeepers, and 4 team members of management introduced and/or replaced.Despite all that, we wrote a 5-star review; which we thought its wasnt a bad place to live.We are now dealing with account receivables from Greystar. This mean the one question we asked over 2 weeks ago is a game of telephone where our account rep gets a hold the property and waits for a response. And we are still waiting.Moral of the Story:No amount of money is worth this kind of hassle we are dealing with now. Trust me (TRUST ME), I am only seeing this through based on principal.Of course, they will response with we are sorry for the inconvenience and take care of this matter. Probably even drop the charge for me because of this review. I would give this place a negative zero star if i could. It has been a absolutely a nightmare living here. The parking situation is ridiculous. The lot is always full. CHEAP everything breaks easily...

Probably the worst place ive ever lived. a different property management company runs the place every month, they straight up lie about how much your rent is, and literally no one will call you back. you do not matter to these people, only the exorbitant amounts of rent youll be paying matters. signing the lease with this place was the worst mistake ive ever made, and i cant wait to get out of here in 8 months.
