Both ladies were very friendly and helpful. Nice car, easy return, and convenient location.
Excellent service. I was running a few minutes late to return the vehicle and the agent stayed an extra 20 minutes beyond close of business. And it was a Friday afternoon !
Nice car, friendly staff. Way cheaper than Enterprise. I wanted to rent a car not buy it. Only niggle was keyfob complaining about needing a battery which was on my mind during the trip. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Thanks Avis!
They are great! Helped make it cheaper in the long run. Very pleased
Contented customers dont seem to be a priority. We just rented from Avis in Tucson, AZ for the Thanksgiving weekend. We got a flat tire over the weekend (a nail on a paved road...we werent doing anything crazy) and called Avis roadside assistance. Not once did they ask, Are you OK? or What can we do to make the better? Their first question was Do you have insurance that can pay for it? They did not want us to pay to get it fixed, nor did they offer to let us switch the car out. We also returned the car 38 minutes late, and they charged us an extra day. Other companies have given me a 1-hour leeway on returns. I prefer Dollar and Enterprise, both of which have treated me much better every time Ive rented from them in the past. Avoid Avis.
Jennifer and Sherry are the most helpful people. The office is clean and the cars are as well. Will visit again.
Great staff! Vehicles are never cleaned at P/U, Hard to find the one you want. Inventory is low even when booking weeks in advance. Now Im forced to use the airport for rental which makes getting a car and swamping out items that much harder.
This is a nice location to pick up a rent a car they also have budget there so you have a large choice to pick from
The agent who assisted us with the car rental was polite, helpful and the best in the business. The online deal we got for a 5 day rent was the best in town.
Do Not Rent A Car from here! They will add $40 more fees to your bill than are quoted online. They will point at a sign blaming the Reno airport. When returning a car make sure it is filled to the brim. I bought gas at the Arco which was less than a mile away. The pump kept popping off that the car was full. It, however, did not show full in the car and the guy who took the car in stated that it was $9.98 a gallon. I said fine for $10 I wont take the car back to Arco. However, when he gave me the receipt, it was for almost $40 more again.. He said that I couldnt take the car back to get gas nor could he change it since it was closed out. This was a lie just like the previous lies. In the end, the rental car cost almost $80 more than the originally quote online. Do not rent from here.
I took my car to the Reno Sears Auto Center to have the tires rotated and balanced because the car had a high speed shimmy. The balancing wasn’t done and the car still had a high speed shimmy on the way home. I brought my car back two days later to have them do the balancing work that wasn’t done the first time. When I picked up the car the second time, there was a large crack in the front windshield. This was not there when I dropped the car off. I showed the manger the cracked window. I also noticed that the car had 29 more miles on the odometer than when I dropped it off – so they had taken it for a long “test” drive. The manager asked me to call Sears Customer Relations - which is actually a third party claims administrator that is outsourced to Sedgwick Corporation. I called Sears Customer Relations (Sedgwick Corporation) and opened a claim. A few days later the claims associate called and told me I could go prove my case in court because the Reno Sears Auto Center was disputing the damage.Wow!I’ve been a loyal Sears customer since 1969 and I’ve never been treated like that by Sears or by any business. I’ve also never filed a claim against any business. I sent a detailed email to their third party claims associate indicating that I would be more than happy to take them to court. They paid for the repair in full - but not without a fight. They also left 2 lug nut covers off which they replaced but I had to make a separate trip to pick them up. In all, I had to make 3 trips and the car still has a high speed shimmy. I’m not going back.I recommend that you do not take your car to Sears Auto Center in Reno for any automotive work. If you do, make sure you take pictures of the entire car before you drop it off. You’ll need them.See the pictures below showing the damage to my windshield.
