After an absolute hair dying DISASTER from another salon, I was able to get a same day appointment with Nichole Brister at this salon. She was absolutely amazing! The compassion she gave me was so great. I was going to prom in just 2 days, and a different salon (called Hair Illusions in Matawan) ruined my hair when I asked them to make my hair blonde and they turned it orange/strawberry blonde and emerald green. I walked into the Hudson and Canal at 6pm that same day after being so emotionally torn down from my hair being ruined earlier that day. Nichole spent 4 and 1/2 hours fixing my hair, and her work was (and still is, two years later) beautiful. She balanced out the green with some reds and brought my hair back to life. Although I wasn’t blonde like I set out that day to end up, my hair was much nicer than it had ever been in years. It was also impossible for Nichole to get my hair blonde in such a short amount of time, especially after the mess that the other salon had made. I left the salon at 10:30pm that night feeling so much better. I am so happy that a woman at Sally Beauty recommended me to her when I was so ready to just take a dark brown box dye and slap it over my head to cover the disaster that was my hair. If I am going to dye my hair again, I will DEFINITELY be going back to Nichole. I also had my prom hairstyle done here by another woman one year after Nichole had fixed me hair. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name, but she was also great with hair. I am still so grateful to Nichole for fixing my hair and restoring my hope in hair stylists, as that had no been the first hair disaster I have had in the past. Even though this was all 2 years ago, I had never left a good review about it and I feel it is necessary and I felt bad I had not done it yet. Attached are some before and after pictures. Love this place! Ive been there twice for gel manicure and once for haircut. They are super professional and nice! They give you many beauty tips and they are very knowledgeable!

IM HOOKED! Santa (eyelash expert) is my new fairy godmother! Wonderful staff! I purchased a Groupon for eyelash extensions was amazing! This is the first place that uses a glue that does not irritate my eye lids!! The receptionist was super friendly and flexible with canceling and rescheduling my appointment.

Went for a manicure because I received a gift from a friend. Place was quaint and clean. Gel manicure was nothing great. Old polish off, a little filing done and new polish. In and out. The woman who did my manicure was friendly. So many better places for a manicure.

Always a quality haircut. Charlie has a great staff and efficient stylists. Nickie very good with mens hair.

DEFINITELY COME HERE!!.Nichole fixed my girlfriends hair 2 days before prom because this place called hair illusions in matwawan completely messed her up and she was the friendliest person who clearly loves and cares about her job as every hairstylist should and I couldn’t be more thankful for how she went about fixing her hair and giving her the prom experience she deserved.

Got gel nail polish, it started chipping few days later, the cokor is very light and I can see streaks. I woudnt go there for gel manicure. However the tech was very nice.

Charli did an amazing job with my hair which is extremely curly. I had recently had a haircut which resulted in bangs and awful layers and Charli was able fix it perfectly. Now I am able to style it or wear it natural with ease. My friend also had a great hair cut by Charli and we have completely different hair types. She even gave us a complimentary blow-out! Everyone at the salon was very friendly and made sure you were comfortable and taken care of. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this salon. There is also free parking which is hard to find in Red Bank.

When I stepped into Hudson & Canal for the first time last week, I couldnt believe how gorgeous the salon was! It was like walking into someones home. The staff that greeted me was warm & friendly. I was lucky enough to secure an appointment with the owner, Charli. She is an absolute doll & spent time talking to me about my hair & what I was looking for. Then I got a great shampoo with a nice scalp massage. The products used to wash my hair made it soft & silky. Charli gave me samples so I could try them at home & decide if they were for me.My haircut looks amazing & I loved the blowout. I am looking to book an appointment for my highlights next. Will definitely be back soon!
