Although a bit on the spendy side, this car wash experience is certainly a very thorough one. We came here because a week of driving (including quite a bit of time spent on dirt roads) had meant that the car really needed a good wash before we returned it to the rental car agency at the airport, and the carwash offered quite a few services in order to wash and wax the car. It seems that the somewhat crowded nature of the place meant that other people also found it to be as worthwhile an experience as we did.

Owner was quick to answer when a wash bay wasnt working, and he was able to apply credit to another bay for us. Very cool and convenient.

Good self car wash. I drive a dually and you cannot find a drive thru car wash in Rapid City for my truck. Always soapy and never a wait.

Kinda confusing and clumsy the first time you use this place. Once you get the hang of it, the cost is something that will keep you coming back. Havent used the touch less bay yet, Ill have to try it out next time.

Always has the soap, wash and the spotless rinse actually works. Someone takes care of this car wash. I will continue to go here as the price is right, the service is great and my vehicle always looks great when done. I recommend the Clear coat conditioner. Does wonders for the paint and shine! actually lasts quite a while.

Went to wash my car today for insurance inspections, heard good things and thought I would give it a try. I always use common cents on 44 & Sheridan lake rd. In all honesty, I spent $8 and my car still looks dingy. The soap could be better and the time is really short, constantly adding coins, and the touch less is not any better. Not trying to be so negative but giving my honest opinion. I will stick to common cents.

Did the self serve wash. No soap comes out the brush or hose. So I paid 2.50 to rinse my car. The change machine didn’t work. Didn’t try the vacuum after the first two things I tried didn’t work.

The NYC Standards Review:2 stars for it being better than 90% of the touch-less car washes around Rapid City. Does a good job of cleaning, and an OK job at drying larger vehicles. Available at any hour so if you work nights and want to grab a quick wash it is available which gets them from a 2 to a 3. For $15 the process should take a few minutes longer on the process overall.Room for improvement in the drying vehicles, layout design, and bang for buck. Adding an air compressor to the Free Vacuum area enabling customers to dry off the spots that dont get dried at all. This would bring this review to a 4 star. Good Luck

Always does a good job washing my truck

Nice tall bays for our truck camper and clean facilities but sadly the bug remover didn’t come on, which is why we were here and pricy at 15 seconds per quarter!

Stop in to spray off my undercarriage, made sure I cleaned the stall when I was done. Out in less than 5 minutes and end up with a $16.50 charge to my card. Oh, the phone number listed doesnt accept calls.

Price for the wash was better than average. But still has pay vacuums. Probably only pay vacuums left in Rapid City. Also dont bring a really dirty or muddy vehicle, they make you clean the floors.

I just went to use the shampoo and spot remover and it turned on but nothing would come out. I’ve used it before so I know how it works and what it should look like. No one was there to help I tried knocking and calling the business while still there and no one answer or came to help

The car wash is great. Its spray is powerful and soap and wax ratio is very generous. I highly recommend it. I did leave alot of gravel and dirt behind though ...... I should have got a discount for those fine materials.

This is the best touchless car wash in Rapid City. You can go for one of those tunnel washes with the brushes if you dont mind an occasional scratch down your car from a picked up pebble. This place really gets the magnesium chloride from the roads off your car. I also really like the undercarriage blaster to clean the junk off!

I paid for the $10 wash with a 20 and only got$1 coin in change. When I tried to call them call did not go through. I feel ripped off.

Worse car wash place ever!! The high pressure wash didnt work had to use the foam brush, dirty bays only two were clean while the other ones had mud all over. I think we will stick to Parkway Car Wash.

This is one of the better car washes in town in my opinion. I really like the fact they offer 2 automated washing stations for larger vehicles. The cost is fair to me as well for the convenient location of the place. I wish they had more room in the lot at times so it is a little easier to maneuver vehicles around. I hope they can expand one day.

A clean car wash that always seems stocked and ready to go. The only downside is that its a little on the expensive side.

Full size, one ton, work truck (with flatbed) fit no problem through the automatic touchless carwash lane. Truck looks great. Will definitely be back.

Last week I went to Soapy Joes for the first time. I drove my Honda CRV into the third self service bay. I could not find any information in the bay regarding cost other than the initial $2.50 fee. I assumed the charge would be similar to other self service car washes and chose to put it on my credit card. I did a quick chlorine cleanse of the underside, followed by a quick soap and rinse. During this time the readout did not display properly, it was unreadable. I was unpleasantly surprised by the total charge of $9.00. In the future I will not use a self service bay that isnt upfront about the cost. While Im satisfied with the quality of the cleaning I dont believe it was worth the money and that information should have been clearly posted in the bay regarding how the price is determined, e.g., how many minutes the initial fee buys and how much additional minutes cost.

Paid $12 for touch less car wash. It did good job everywhere except in front.

So I got a wash here today and had an issue. The wash stopped after it soaped my truck. After it stopped I called the number listed on the sign. A lady answered and I told her the issue. She stated that I must have moved during the car wash. I told her I did not and she then accused me of having this issue before. Odd since I have never used the wash before.After the rude service I received, I posted a negative review on their Facebook page similar to this one. I explained I understand that technical difficulties happen but there is no excuse for bad customer service. A guy replied and stated they have me on video moving during the wash and he wasn’t going to start World War 3 over a car wash. I wasn’t going to reply as I thought his words demonstrated my point. Then with no further provocation, they blocked me from their Facebook page. I am assuming it is to hide my review.

Went here yesterday water presure in the self wash bay that i was using was no better then a garden hose at your house. Wouldnt rocomend if you need to deep clean a vehical. Also when i was there almost half of the facility was closed leading to a wait time of 20 minutes or more to wash my car. I would have left and went somewhere else but due to the tight space and vehicles behind me i was trapped and had to wait. Not an ideal layout of a car wash facility.

Clean place to wash your car. Dont use the tire and engine cleaner. It takes up 4 minutes just to get it to begin to spray.
