My son was off on an adventure to the bad lands in his old jeep, when he had car trouble. Mark’s where very busy but squeezed him in and performed a 3-4 hour repair and got him on the road. They checked everything over and did what repairs where needed and where very fair on the price. Thank god for good people.

I was given a quote it sounded awesome. Made an appt. Dropped it off called a few hours later to see if it was done, it was, I asked the nice lady on the phone how much it was she said the same as I was quoted. Well when I got there it was a 150$ more. I was also charged for glue, nuts and bolts. All they had to do was hook up a scanner and reprogram. Not vary happy about the up charge I should have been notified ahead of time.

Mark and his team clearly care about doing things the right way. They fixed my car quickly and at an extremely reasonable price. I cant recommend this shop highly enough.

A $1000 job somehow turned into a $2480 job and there were several extra things added on. Those things were not approved by me. My stability service notification came on and I showed the owner when I was leaving & he said its still drivable, that was never on before. Also, my car steers to the right when driving. Its frustrating. So unprofessional. Also it took about 3 wks for these services to get done. 😠Couldnt respond to the message but I didnt ask for my oil change and other fluids other than the bare minimum. I had received no heads up. Both cars I took to your service both needed an alignment. I mean idk if yall trying to get more service or if my skin brown. But. I will keep my distance and recommendations away from this place.

I limped into Marks at 4:39 PM. I had no heat & no power steering. They told me to replace belt was a 30 minute job and they closed in 21 minutes. I whispered a prayer asking God to have them show mercy on me. They did and I was back up running by 5:30 PM with ability to stay warm & easily turn corners. Great customer service.

Recently had car problems while traveling through South Dakota. Very fortunate to find this repair shop. The owner Mark and service manager Dan were both professional and courteous. If I lived in Rapid City I would take all of my vehicles to be repaired at this shop, without hesitation. Honest, competent, and more than fair pricing is how I would describe my experience.

Had my vehicle for 3 weeks, no diagnosis. Just left my car sitting like I didnt need it.

I was traveling to black hills. My dash lit up like a christmas tree. Nursed it to rapid city. Found Marks auto by chance.called in the morning they said no problem. The service was great, personable, work quality was outstanding. Was back on the road in a few short hours. 2 thumbs up. Would definitely recommend and would go back if needed.

Was able to bring my car in right away on a Monday morning after calling that morning and they got right to it and fixed it quickly! Everyone was very nice and professional.

Great guys got us right in on a road trip hour later we were on the road and didnt break it in us on charges! Highly recommend!

My Jeep broke down on my way home to Colorado. Mark did a lot to help get me home which was much appreciated. Unfortunately once home it seemed that the transmission was leaking substantial fluid which resulted in major work having to be done and costs to correct things.

My College aged son was traveling through South Dakota and had popped a spark plug -- which is a serious issue. Mark was gracious enough to help out my son....give him some priority and he was affordable (whereas some might take advantage of travelers). I applaud Mark and recommend him.

Our Yukon died on us as we were headed into the Black Hills for family vacation. While calling around we kept hearing that Marks Auto Repair was the place to take it. So we had it towed there. Dan indicated that he had a full schedule of work for several days yet, but that they would get it in as soon as they could.They were able to get the Yukon into the shop sooner than expected, and found the fuel pump was bad. Dan gave me the price, along with two options of new pumps I could use. Dan was very open with what was going on with the vehicle, and called when it was finished.When we picked up our Yukon after it was finished and paid the bill, we went to drop off our rental a few miles away. Along the way, the Yukon started making noise, and smoke was coming from the left rear wheel. I was thinking a brake was froze up. We took the Yukon right back to Marks, and I talked to one of the mechanics about what issues we were having. He put the Yukon on the lift right away, and found that the brakes were fine, but an axle seal had just started to leak oil. We did not have time to have that fixed, as we had prior appointments for lodging, tours, etc, for our vacation. As the Yukon was mechanically sound, he topped of the rear differential oil, put the wheels back on and sent us on our way with NO CHARGE! Very thankful, as We had a stressed out family of 6 waiting & wondering in the lobby, whether our vacation was going to stay on track.Bottom line: I would definitely use Marks Auto again.

I rate these guys 5 stars because theres not a 6. Traveling thru and my car was completely disabled with electrical issues. They stayed in contact with me, telling me the problem and possible cost. They fixed my car quickly at a cost far under what they could have justified on paper. America needs more people like this running businesses.

Mark is an experienced mechanic who does exactly what needs to be done without extra unnecessary costs. He fixes what needs fixed.

Have older pickup and needed ignition worked on. They broke part of the locking mechanism on the column and didnt even try to replace it even though it was their fault.

Help when you need it at an honest price. Several days before visiting Rapid City, we experienced a burnt wire smell in the cabin of our F-150 truck whenever the the AC/Heater blower was on. Concerned that running the blower while driving might melt wires and cause a fire, we had to motor cross country without a heater or air conditioning. Stopping in Rapid City for several days, we sought help from local Ford dealers who were too busy to help us out.We turned to Marks Auto Repair and the response was nothing short of amazing. Knowing that we could only stay in Rapid City for a few days, Mark who specializes in diagnosing electrical problems, quickly found the cause of the burnt wire smell and was able to obtain the part overnight, even though local Ford dealers did not stock it.We were able to continue our RV road trip on schedule and the charge for parts and labor were more than fair. Thank you Marks Auto Repair, you saved our vacation.

Amazing service... we were traveling through when our pinion bearing in the rear end went out from pulling a camper and he fixed our suburban in 24 hours. Great price and service. Helped us find a rental place. He went out of his way to get the parts we needed and get us back on the road!

Good, honest mechanic, and fair prices.My ol grandma car was not starting, and it was at the millage that fuel pumps tend to go out on mopar products from that era.I spoke with Dan, and he got me put in to get it fixed. they got it done, at a price much lower then what we were expecting. Will use them again if I have any future issues.

Brake trouble while traveling through Rapid City on the way to Glacier Park. Stopped in at Marks at 7:30 AM and were on our way by 10:30. Friendly and reasonable price. Removed and installed rear brake rotors and pads.

Very slow service, going on 3 days for a chip key and new trunk latch. I am a VERY unsatisfied costumer.Damaged my vehicle when they worked on it, Everytime they worked on it they broke something els in my dashboard cluster over the coarse of 3 different occasions, and damaged my dashboard with scratches and dents.

He is a rip off and does poor work I would suggest going anywhere but here took my car in to get my window motors in so my windows would go up and down only got one window to work (I even supplied to motors) charged me $592.00 I will never do business there again!!
