John has been my barber for over 10 years and Ive been following him to different locations until he finally opened up his own first and now second barbershop. John always gives me the freshest cut and cleanest fades youve ever seen. I would book an appointment to cut down on wait time because John is always super busy with all his loyal customers. I know John has the highest standards and he holds the other barbers at his shop to the same standards too if you cant book with him.

This is great place. They are very affordable, yet it never seems like youre getting a rushed haircut. You pay pretty much what you would pay at the chain places, but the chains seem to push you through since they thrive on volume. I took my 2 year old here and they did great with him as well. I highly recommend.

First time at Johns, reasonably priced and best of all they take walk ins!

People who run this place are super rude and unprofessional. Haircuts are way overpriced and they do a horrible job. The one barber I had who cut my hair had a terrible attitude and gave me one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in my life. Dude didn’t even introduce himself and looked angry whenever I told him how I wanted my hair cut. Avoid this place at all costs. Way better barbers out there.

Johns barber lounge is one of the best barbers in oc!!! Always have been amazing! Staff and vibe is cool. always professional. I saw a review that said that they take too long LOL. If u want to get a quality haircut u want ur barber to care about every grain of hair. This ain’t no run of the mill place. The barbers here are super talented and always on point with the haircuts!!! Highly recommend and they recently opened up in RSM too super dope spot! I’d recommend making appointments. Best way to go. Help our small businesses and be safe not stupid! They are taking awesome precautions for the pandemic. If that bugs u that brings me back to my point about being safe not stupid!!!

I usually take my kids here and have my own Barber in Costa Mesa but needed a haircut same day. With an hour notice, I was able to get an appointment and great haircut with all the details I wanted. Diego was great. With how easy it went I may make a haircut a more frequent thing in my life!Thanks guys!

This is the best Barber shop in the area. The shop is so clean and organized. The staff is really friendly and most importantly they know what they are doing. If you need a haircut just try them one time and youll be back. Special shout out to Tim for giving me the best fade Ive ever had!

Walked out after waiting an hour. It would be nice if they mentioned that each hair cut was going to take 45 minutes since that isn’t the “norm” for a barber shop. Of course they can’t help when three “prima donna” men with man buns come in and want haircuts that take an excessive amount of time, but they can enforce the policy that if you leave you can’t get back in line in front of people who waited an hour + while you were gone.Having said that- I will try again another day. They give great haircuts but need to improve on their communication with customers in the waiting area and move forward past numbers that aren’t waiting.
