This is not a helpful agency, if you are looking to foster school age kids with low visitations, you will very likely be staying on the waiting list for a long time, as it could take longer than a year, though only during the summer the possibility of it is higher. With younger kids the placement could be faster if you are willing to do family visits almost every day. This agency does not have enough consideration for their foster parents. They make them do all of the kids family visitations, they will even try to do the visits at their office, so they can get credit for monitoring the kids visits and do their weekly visit at the same time, even though it is an awful set up and they dont have a playroom for the kids. The visits are done in a room with a huge table and lots of chairs,(taking all the space in the room). When the family visits are done in their office, foster parents must drive the kids back and forth, and wait outside their office for the children to finish their visit. Lots of families are complaining about this issue and more. But if their agency weekly visit is in the foster home, they just send their social workers to see the kids for 10 to 20 minutes at the most once a week, this is no enough time to get to know the children! The manager is awful to speak with, instead of helping the foster parents she just gives you a harder time. Many foster parents come and go from this agency. Alliance does what is best for themselves instead of what is best for the children and foster parents. They really need to make some changes quickly in their office, support their foster families and do what is best for the FOSTER CHILDREN.
