Wake County Human Services does not assist me being 74 years old even though I have a food stamps case worker and her name is Maria Prinz and even a woman by the name of Liz Scott who has a high position of Economic Services Division Director has no intention of assisting me with my concerns of Food Stamps, which I am a recipient, and also Medicaid which Wake.County is deducting $150.00 from my Social Security income every month. I have sent some letters about what I have gone through lately to the new Director Nanette Bowler and hopefully she will read my letters and help me. I don’t trust them as through the years they have done nothing for me.

Although the last woman at the Central Human Service office was super helpful and nice. (I forget her name but she was not wake county) The ladies at this department off kidd rd. Gave me misinformation that kept my process going in circles for over a month. Im wondering why some individuals just dont care to help or find someone in the office that can.

People are pleasant. Not too bad of a wait for most services. Come prepared.Medicaid needs to update their list of accepted types of care. It was downgraded during the Obama administration and hasnt been updated since. If you need crowns, forget it. Medicaid wants all of your teeth pulled and then they will pay for dentures!! Are you kidding me. If you need surgery on your feet and go to a specialist like a podiatrist, forget it, doesnt even cover the x-ray. So forget about any correction or pain relief surgery. U have to live with it. And yes, I worked an paid my taxes for 30 years before I needed these services.

You could get lucky and get a employee here that loves the job they do or you get a total jerk who acts as if you personally took a piss in their morning cereal. Good luck, definitely a gamble. Youll have some time to ponder your thoughts on the service because there will be a wait for sure!

They are helpful and a waste of time at the same time. More so a waste of time the ladies I asked questions too were helpful to answer my question and send my email to my caseworker but didnt answer my questions correctly which caused a lot of wait redo and wait again for answers and assistance.

The lady that help me with my electric bill was super nice.

I take my children here for free immunizations. The doctors and nurses are very helpful, clear, and pleasant to interact with. Call ahead of time to make an appointment to cut down on wait time. You meet and see lots of different people here, which is something I think is good for my young children. Im thankful for these government services!

This is ;the worse place to go for help. I am on disability, and I work part time, I dont have housing assistance or anything. I have monthly medical expenses. and the government workers lied, and now I have to go to consumers affairs. You government workers, and by the way Im extremely professional. These lazy workers dont do their jobs, and constantly gossiping or doing just nothing. FU!!!!!!

Poor customer service! Improper screening! Was there 11/27 said eligible for help needed to return 12/912/9 went at 10 a yes eligible for help return 1p. At 1 p was to b part of group 20 being serviced1p yes eligible for services 4 p still not called there were 19 people ahead of me! They just started the 1p block of 20 having just finished previous group of 20Almost 7 p seen by case worker told income TOO HIGH to qualify for help2 days spent almost 12 hours there 3/4 of that time staff telling me I was eligible not to last 15 minutes denied helpHarassed entire time by security guard chastised for talking too loud; typing too loudHave Aspergers ADHD & more his abuse was apparent to other patrons who eventually came to my defense.

Special shut out to Dee T*****...extremely nice and resourceful, provided excellent help, advice, encouragement, and counsel in my time of need and bewilderment. Side note....single mothers are a God send, if only people knew the hoops and ladders yall go through to provide for our children. Thank you. Everyday should be Happy Mothers Day.

I went here just under a month ago. I was treated nicely, and the building is clean and bright on the inside. My needs were meet quickly.

If you need help, just be kind with your words and youll get the answers you need. One lady that works here is an awesome agent to work with. Mrs. N. F. Will help you and go over & beyond to get what you need.

Well if you are about to go to WC HSD, you must have a reason, be prepared to wait for a while. On multiple occasions we would deal with incompetent workers. They would frequently lose our documents, scan them into under a wrong names or even close our case without an explanation. Just want warn you, be prepared to deal with a very poor quality service.On the flip side, things are getting better and our last two visits were much more pleasant with positive results.

When you are respectful and come to handle business and not complain/ cussing/ socializing that causes people to deal with you professionally. Also when you are honest and humble and not entitled; Gods favor will go before you EVERYWHERE you go.

Waiting for so long to hear the baby heartbeat in clinic G. I had an appointment at 1:10 but I arrived at 12:50 and now and 2:44 already but still sitting in the room waiting for them. The front desk lady was so rude the way she give me the paper “check out” if no customer comes u will never get money. I just finish now.... 4:30

Well, my appointment was set for 8am...the receptionist told me the workers usually get in around 8:15... Must be nice to have a job where you just sit around a few hours after you come in late, and pretend to help people...

Trying to get through on the number listed is a nightmare no one ever answers and if youre lucky enough to get someone to answer the phone theyll answer place you on hold and never come back to the line its ridiculous. funny thing about it is that when youre actually at the office the front desk staff are always on the phone and youre left standing there for a good ten minutes before someone acknowledges you & normally when they do acknowledge you its no eye contact just a raised finger indicating theyll be right with you... the worst

Took foster care classes here. Jim Barbee, the instructor is very helpful and has gone out of his way to be of service to me and my family. I appreciate the love!!

Most of the clerical staff have very poor customer service delivery. You already hate going this facility and you dont know or understand the process, and your treated by clerical staff with attitude. Thank you Jesus I have advance education.

It is a real trip watching people complain about getting free government money. Thats pretty unreal. See comments below if you would like to understand the root problem with our country. You help people and give them free Healthcare, and they complain about having to go and pay for a doctor visit...something hard working Americans do everyday. What a joke!

Lots of help for the asking at Job Links. Apply for SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, energy assistance and more. Most of staff are friendly and helpful.

It is hit or miss as to whether you will get good service. Waited 3 hours to be told to go home and wait for paperwork that was in the mail (never did receive that paperwork). I dont want to say that every experience will be the same but I would say that only 50% of the time, would I say that I was satisfied with the service.

As long as you have all the documents that they ask for, your chances of receiving help are much greater.

I called customer service and spoke with a woman named Laura. She was beyond rude. She kept cutting me off while I was trying to talk about my issue. If you’re not going to work for the people, then you shouldn’t be in customer service or social work. 👏🏾

When you leave North Carolina..you feel like you escaped from slavery!! North Carolina definitely operates on its old slavery system!! Especially if you work for the govt..You can be sure theyll take every measure to ruin your life..like they did mine!!!

They helped me and showed me how to manage my issue. The worker was very nice.

The folks in Womens Health are awful. They never pick up the phone and they never return messages left on their voice mail. Planned Parenthood is even worse, so I had to pay $250.00 out of pocket to a private physician for services I should have been able to get for free.

I like that theyve got rid off their drop box and replaced it with a machine that scans your paperwork in because you get a reciept showing proof youve recertified. Quick and easy.

Long wait times. Treated poorly by staff that seemed to not like their jobs. Sad, because these people are supposed to be there for the public, without attitudes and prejudice! I would starve and die before I would go back into that awful place. Employees standing around talking instead of helping people. Thats WAKE COUNTY DSS for you! 😡

I was there almost 2hrs. Every employee there makes sure they take there break. And leave you on the back burner. Claims they call ur name 3 times. They be bullshiting.

Moving to NC was certainly a huge change. After getting hurt, I went to Wake County Human Services and WOW! All the help, information and believe it or not the nicest people work there. They are truly guardian angels! I cannot thank them enough!

The want to be police officers but security gards are three and djsrespectfull to elderly and any one that does not work here including adults and the wait time is outrageous.. They really need to updatee their systems and their employees.

Largely its super busy. There are kind ppl and some not...not sure how to wite a review for the place. I have nothing to compare efficacy, or standards. Bathrooms are badly abused. Dont go in, if you dont have to...

Every experience except one Ive been disappointed the entire time, from the wait time, to mislead information, to rude unfriendly staff, my worker had yet to put my benefits on my card in which she gave me a timeframe 24/48 hours, here it is 72 hes without food. I hate these ppl individually, because there are some good ppl, u just gotta get thru the Scrooges and ignorance before u get to the real helpers & workers
