From what I was told they only have a few people working there so sometimes it takes a while for them to investigate cases. They have gotten a lot better with answering the phone, because I remember a long time ago it was impossible to get a phone call through. I will say they need to update their portal online. The portal is used to send documents and information through but sometimes everything cant be sent through it. Some of the works people skills have have gotten better but theres always room for improvement. I would suggest being patient and taking the time with everyone who calls EEOC because everyone deserves for their voice to be heard.

Tried to reach this place multiple times, including this morning before I had to clock in at work since their open 7 am. I had to work at 9:30am so I called in approximately 8:40-:45am. the busiest times as they say is 11am-2pm. one minute it says one shorter time, then its a longer time...it goes from 1 minute to now 5 more minutes. wanted to express a concern to a representative and waited nearly an hour (45 minutes) to be exact!

Theyre very unprofessional, i was told by rep to wait 3 weeks until i hear back from. I waited, i call after the 3w period the lady told me i needed to wait 72hours so they can review my case. Im wondering why i was waiting 3w if they didnt look at my case. I call again today 11/6/17 another got real rude about me asking inquiring information about my case. I told her to calm down i just wanted to know why im being told 2 different storys. Her story was i have to wait 6-8 weeks before i receive a case number then another 6 weeks before my case worker call me. EEOC need to fix there method on handling cases and people. Simply because there allow the company you filing a case against to fix there mistakes before any real action take place. My lawyer told me to ask them for a right to sue letter but the same lady block that question. I believe they need new management

File Your Charge with the EEOC - NOT the state NCCRD (IMO as a former CRD investigator/attorney.The CRD Director had a sexual harassment complaint filed against him and was disciplined for sending sex emails. Thus, any attorney may invalidate Mr. Goins decisions due to his own incriminating conduct. The EEOC has a civil rights attorney who can bring a lawsuit on your behalf. The CRD has no such attorney. The CRD Director, who is not an attorney, cites an overruled case in his response to the sexual harassment case filed against him. This serious error raises the question as to how many incorrect decisions he has made that were based upon invalid, overruled law. A Legislative Study indicates the CRD may lack authority to enforce federal EEOC law This is a disaster because an attorney may challenge any CRD decisions. You have the right to file your charge directly with the EEOC and insist they investigate it. Dont let the EEOC transfer your charge to the NC Civil Rights Division.

Mostly useless service unless you work for another Harvey Weinstein and can put them on the map.
