She was tuned into what we wanted. From the first call she was completely tuned into our asks and preferences and helped us zero in quickly on a few neighborhoods that were perfect for us (I know this sounds like a given but we had talked to a number of folks who were really focused on where they thought we should be living).2. She knows houses inside and out and was willing to crawl into attics and crawl spaces or out onto roofs to help us understand the condition of the house and the amount of money that would have to be put into repairs. This was especially crucial in a market where we had to make bids within hours of seeing the house, often with no contingencies and huge due diligence fees.3. She really understood the market, which helped us understand the pros and cons of different types of buying options (e.g. new construction vs existing, different cities and neighborhoods in those cities, etc).4. Im not sure when she sleeps because we were seeing houses at all hours of the day and night, weekdays and weekends. If we liked a house she got an appointment, usually on the first day the house was open for showing, which was great in this market where things were sometimes going in under 24 hours.5. She supported us for the entire process, start to finish. After the offer was accepted she continued to help us every step of the way up until closing and beyond, recommending a fantastic lender for us, sending us checklists for everything that needed to be done in the weeks up to closing, and generally walking us through the entire process as first-time home owners.Because she was so on top of the market, our preferences, and the houses themselves we landed our dream house with only our second offer in an insane market. Ill note that almost the entire process was done over FaceTime as we were in CA. We ended up buying a house that we had not seen in person, but her tours were so comprehensive and she knew houses so much better than we did that we had no concerns. If we had the option of only one of us seeing it in person I would have chosen her over us any day, and Id trust her to buy a house for me sight unseen if I had to.Added to all of this, she is friendly and fun and it was an absolute joy to hang out with her. Her recommendation wasnt based on gut feeling or guessing, it was based on hard data and it worked like a charm.4. The day we were submitting the offer, before I could even get to it, Patty had already contacted our lender and got the ball rolling on getting the pre-approval letter generated. Once the offer was accepted, literally the next day Pattys team had already scheduled a home inspection, termite inspection, site survey and radon test. She made it so easy on us! Incredibly, before we had the inspection report for more than an hour, Patty had already scheduled a plumber to come out to give an estimate for addressing some of the items in the report. I PROMISE you that Patty and her team is the realty experience you want. If youre anything like us and youre trying to buy your 1st home with limited money, time, and knowledge - PLEASE call Pattys office. Her team is not the normal walks you around a house and tells you how much you love it type. Her team is the gets down in the dirt in the crawlspace with you, points out the cracks in the foundation to you, and climb up in the attic to examine the water damage and take pictures type. Patty wants to work with you to get the house you want, and make sure you really know what youre buying (not that there is any problem with a fixer-upper, but you want to know what you have to fix-up). It took us almost a 1 1/2 years to find the house we wanted (not to any fault of Pattys team - it took me a while to really figure out what kind of home I wanted), and Patty was there with us for all of it. Unless you have a ton of money, buying a house can be frustrating, and buying your 1st house is terrifying. Patty and her team talked me through every question, fear, and anxiety I had. But even more than that - Patty made it fun. By the 3rd house, its not like your going to meet your buyers agent. Its like youre going to meet your friend who also happens to know A LOT about houses and the housing market. Her upbeat attitude and kindness kept my spirits up as I fought my way through a market that I really didnt understand, and her insight and knowledge kept me away from a lot of homes that would have been financial burdens in my current income.
