This review, and the one star rating, is directed towards the ownership and business management at Down To Earth stemming from their disreputable business practices. The crew that worked on our project was very professional and took pride in their work while they were onsite, from design through installation.The major issues started at the conclusion of the project.As per our signed contract with DTE, trees and shrubs carry a 30 day warranty from time of final walkthrough. Within that 30-day period, we notified our Down To Earth consultant via phone voice mail and text with photo evidence that we had significant browning of 5 mature trees, ranging in height from 8’ to over 20’. While the browning on 3 seemed to require, at a minimum, professional inspection and potential replacement, two in particular were clearly dead and in need of replacement.In addition, at the final walkthrough, we indicated that the condition in which our side yard was left was also unacceptable. We had an agreement that sod would be installed to repair the damage left by the Down To Earth trucks during the project; restoring the side yard to its condition prior to work commencing. Instead, only soil was shoveled on top of the tire tracks. And subsequently, from normal weather, that soil has completely washed away, leaving gravel tire tracks.After five months of repeated attempts to contact DTE via phone or text, we sent an email to our sales rep/design consultant, our primary contact. This was in February. This email formally documented the issues in writing and requested an action plan to remedy.This email also received no response. Subsequently, we made several other attempts to contact him via phone, leaving voice mails each time. Finally, in March, we were able to speak to him live, on the day he said he was “leaving the company”, and had forwarded our email to the owner. He also indicated he would no longer have that cell phone number. Calling two days ago, his voice mail still says his name “...with Down To Earth Designs”. And he is still listed on the DTE website.Since then, I have forwarded my original email, followed up via email and left voicemails on several occasions requesting call back from the owner, with no response. And since the only contact information DTE provides are general voice mail and email boxes, we have had no direct way to contact the owner. We fully expect DTE to fulfill its contractual obligations. And will pursue to resolution with whatever additional means necessary.

Great company! Down to Earth Designs has been my go to company for any yard work I want to improve, not only do they have the best pricing but a great team with so much experience. They recently did my front yard, it looks amazing, they made It look so alive and neat! When I drive into my house I really cant get enough of my house simply the best!

Its been over a month since Down to Earth Designs completed my patio and I couldnt be happier with the results. They made my patio look very spacious although I dont really have a big yard, they worked to make the best layout possible! The colors, design, and layout are all very perfect! Great area to host, very professional company!

Down to Earth Designs did a great job solving drainage issues that Arroyo Custom Homes left us. They also installed pavers to extend our turnaround and planted new plants. Their design ideas were perfect for the area.

What can you say about a company that does awesome work? Les and his team transformed our backyard form a boring clay pit that we never used to an oasis that we will only leave for work or sleep. They installed a fabulous retaining wall which allows us to use the entire property, stone work around the new inground pool, drains to keep the water from creating puddles and a walking path to make it easier to get from the front yard. The stone work and attention to details are the added touched that has made it our new retreat. Thank you Les and team for all of your hard work.

I have nothing but good things to say about Down to Earth. They were super professional with phone calls, presentations, and the installation of our project. Upon calling the office I actually spoke with the owner who was extremely helpful. The designer we worked with went above and beyond what we actually expected. We had just a pool installed and they were extremely careful when working around it. I would highly recommend them.
