Wish I could give a negative star review. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I contacted him back at the start of 2021 to come out to my house and see if he would be willing to take on my yard for the year. He gave a honest quote, told me everything that he would be doing, showed up that day on time, and everything seemed great. So, unfor. I decided to go ahead and pay him upfront for the entire year. He held up his end of the bargain for the first few months, doing exactly as he said he would and with that, our yard started to look much better. But that is where the fairytale ends. Since April of this year he has not been back to our house. He has sent a few emails, listing nothing but a whole bunch of excuses as to why he and his company has not been able to come out. He also told me that he would refund me for the treatments that his company didnt complete on our yard. Well, here we are about a month since that email (and the last communication that we have had) and still no refund. I emailed him last week telling him to cancel our service and just return the money for incomplete work, and would you believe it, NO RESPONSE. I am not one to usually put these posts up but I dont want anyone to go through this, but if you read the reviews, I am not alone. Buyer Beware.

This owner John is a lying shady con man. Do not ask him to lower his price to match another subs price, as he will subtract material (sod) from your contract without telling you. Make sure and read the entire contract because he will change the agreed upon sod type and install something cheaper so he makes more money. Lastly if you choose to use this con man, take before and after pictures and do an on site review to hold him accountable for what he tells you he will do verbally and then what the contract says he will NOT do. This yak is a yes man and then claims he does not remember anything he spoke about. NOBODY SHOULD EVER HIRE THIS SHYSTER!

I thought I had a reputable landscaper in John Dorsey. I have grass growing through my shrub bed. One of the shrubs is about dead.He does not return my calls. I am at a loss to settle this. In addition the mulch is minimal. May have to pursue small claims court to resolve this. Once he was paid the customer service stopped. Any one considering his sevice should not be comforted by the contract. He does not hold up to his promises. Joan Di Carlo

John and Aaron were a pleasure to work with, we had Dorsey Landscaping Install Zenith Zoysia Sod last summer, their professionalism and desire to work with people is hands down better than any other landscaping company we have dealt with previously. They focus on the details and quality of work while making sure their customers are satisfied and informed through each step of the process. I will refer Dorsey Landscaping to everyone!

I hate having to give a 3 star as Johns service used to be good last Oct when started the service. He came highly recommended by neighbors at the time and we all had contracts with him for various services. However, in spring 2021, somehow all of a sudden he dropped out of the face of the earth and stopped the lawn services with no communication whatsoever even after multiple attempts from our side. Several people in the community had the same issue. Apparently he just randomly dropped some of us even though our contract with him does not end till Oct2021. What a disappointment! We understand circumstances change and a common courtesy to let us know that he can no longer provide the agreed services would have helped. Buyer aware! (I am now using a different company who is more communicative and responsive.)

Turf Management is second to none!!I’ve had bad experiences with other lawn care providers in the past... but Dorsey Landscaping has produced results others could not, they are extremely knowledgeable and very upfront, and informative in regards to their turf management products, and application methods. I’ve had the best experience and would highly recommend.. I never felt like they were trying to sell me on their program... they worked hard to educate me and explain everything in detail which in turn ended up being a great selling point!

Dorsey Landscaping was contacted to spruce up my backyard for my 50th Birthday celebration. They responded immediately with quote and scheduled the installation of mulch, weed barrier, pesticide treatment with edging and trimming for the backyard. The service was so good he was asked to come back to do the front yard. He arrived early and on time the very next day. I highly recommend Dorsey Landscaping and will definitely use them again in the future.

Dorsey Landscaping has been a great decision. They did a great job at laying sod, installing a border, and placing river rock/mulch. Throughout the process they had exhibited great communication and without any hidden surprises. I have them coming back in the fall to over-seed and aerate. We high recommend.

It was such a pleasure doing business with Dorsey LandscapingMy yard now looks beautiful! They came with high quality mulch and before putting the mulch down they weeded and cleaned up all the areas around the perimeter of my house. They even created a beautiful area for my bird feeder. My yard looks so nice that my neighbors were admiring it and saying how beautiful it all looks and what a nice job Dorsey Landscaping did. They are a very professional team that does quality work!

Dorsey landscaping did a good job installing sod. I paid for the job and thought i was done. Then i noticed another charge on my card and charges every day for 3750 what i paid for the original work. I tried to call them, text them with no reply. My card still being charged daily. I had to submit fraud and replace my card. This is not an acceptable way of doing business.Answer to your reply: i called and texted multiple times with no reply. In addition, i asked to change the water sprinkler flow to normal over 5 times, where each time you promised you will do it that day and it never got done. I got charged $360 first month and $520 second month for water bill when if you would have done it on time, there wouldn’t be a such a large bill second month.

Very responsive and knowledgeable, never tried to upsell services, John gave excellent recommendations and explained in detail the most feasible cost effective route to take without sacrificing quality in order to achieve the vision I had for my landscape enhancement project.

Fantastic service! Team is great!

My front lawn competes with a large tree in the middle which results in what’s planted to die after six weeks. Dorsey Landscaping used a different seed and fertilizer more hearty which so far has my lawn being one of the best on the street. I highly recommend you give them a call.

John is amazing to work with. Hes extremely thorough in his work and communication. He had excellent landscaping recommendations and didnt try to sell us anything we didnt need, which I have experienced while getting estimates from other companies. I consider myself lucky to have find his company.

Had a appointment for 11am. Recieved a text saying they were behind and needed to reschedule for early afternoon that same day. I responded back saying that would be fine ill be home until 2. No response and no show. After the time passed, bc I really needed to get this job done..I sent another text asking for them to reach back out to me to reschedule for another day. Again no response.

Needed sod pull up around the perimeter of the house. John was very knowledgeable and fair with his pricing. He answered all my questions and gave great suggestions on maintaining my mulch beds. I would definitely recommend Dorsey Landscaping !

John was very professional and offered great suggestions that were happy we trusted. Very thorough work. We needed edging around areas in our front yard and mulch. Love the end result!

John and his team did an excellent job sprucing up my lawn for the spring. I contacted him and he came the very next day to take care of my job. Very responsive and professional. Look forward to working with them again in the future!
