We do contract visits (every 6-8 weeks for the past 2 years) with Davenport, and they’ve been great. Our lawn looks great, and if we ever have random weeds pop up, they always come out before you’re service is even due to address the issue. They also always text you before they come out so you know. We’ve been very happy with them.

I was mowing my lawn when Carmen came by, he finished some other clients and then returned to do my yard, I really appreciated that.

I have used several different companies in the past and none of them produced the results like Davenport did. We have referred them to several people in our neighborhood and it is quite impressive to see what they can do with a lawn. Well done Davenport! I have been a lawn maintenance customer for the past year, and can not say enough about my satisfaction with the level of service, and the technicians that treat my year. Last night I found a massive baldface hornets nest on the side of my house. This morning I call Davenports Pest Control group thinking it would be days before they could get out. Don and Damon were here this afternoon and removed the nest. Damon Davenport is a man of great integrity. Don has 14 years experience in pest control You will be in good hands with these two men, no matter the service you have with them.

Great Company to deal with. I enjoy working with Customer Service and our technician. I had a condition of army worms that happened very quickly, called them, text them a picture and they were at the house the next morning. The damage was stopped in its tracks and is already starting to come back. When I thought, the following week that they moved to the front of my lawn, the tech was there the next day. He called me and told me we were ok and treated a weed or two that had sprung up due to all the rain. They are attentive to your needs, knowledgeable and honest. Those are qualities are hard to find today. I recommend them to everyone in Wake County.

We have used Davenport Environmental for several years. Our lawn has never looked better! They are a great company and always notify us the day before they come out for a service. They also did some landscaping for us and really improved the appearance of our front entrance. Online payments are a great convenience.

Used them for a year. Services appeared to be going well. Then we started seeing weeds everywhere in our yard. I called them to report the problem and they scheduled a technician to come out and spray for the weeds on a Monday. Four things suggested that no one came out to spray that Monday, though Davenport insisted they did: 1) They did not text, as customary, prior to the alleged visit; 2) They did not leave a notice on the door, as customary, following the alleged visit; 3) The technicians visit was not captured on our video footage, which absolutely records any movement in our yard; and 4) Most importantly, weeds still remained in our yard days after this alleged visit. The manager argued us up and down that someone had indeed come out to spray. He even stated that cameras dont capture everything. I guess the technician moonlights as a stealth ninja - because we looked at video for the entire day and didnt see him! We canceled right on the spot. They are extremely lazy about delivering quality services and dishonest when confronted about it. The manager even stated that their product doesnt always work. So, why should anyone use Davenport? I asked. You can go to Walmart and buy spray that kills weeds after three hours yet a professional weed service requires 14 days for weeds to die? Find another company! They argue with every review written here instead of admitting fault and doing better.Update:The pictures are attached. Does it look like just thistle weed in our yard? There are at least five different types of weeds in my yard. Also, yes, we had no problems for a year. But that was because Davenport was actually conducting services instead of simply alleging they were conducting services. We watched live video on the day and time that Davenport reported their technician visited. There was no technician captured on video (is pointing at our major weeded areas). The manager argued that his technician may have driven past our house. There is only a one-way road going past our house. Our video captures the wind if it blows too hard! Yet, he suggested that a technician can walk through our yard and not be caught on camera. I find it completely unprofessional and unethical that a company would argue with reviews, instead of allowing their customers to share with others their experiences.

Both my neighbor and i have no solicitation decals on our door. This company still felt the need to hang their solicitations on our doors for their service. I may post something on Nextdoor and our neighborhood Facebook page. Please be respectful.

Ive been a customer for only a few months, and i have never been so happy with my lawn. Im so glad i got rid of the other big name company and came to Davenport! They have improved my yard 100%. I had just moved in and the builder, while making sure nothing had died, did nothing for the weeds. I tried for about two months and had no success. From the first treatment, the yard was better. Davenport Environmental lets me know what day the technician is coming. Their technicians are non-obtrusive. They treat the yard and leave the bill (no contract is another thing I like) in the door. Ive been very happy with their service.

Used Davenport environmental from fall of last year through this year. They just about never made a phone call prior to appointment time. My wife and I work from home and their staff never rang the door bell when they performed their service. My yard looks no different from when I had no professional lawn care to a year after with Davenport. I cut ties with them after they refused to fix their shoddy job unless I paid them for their work. There are better companies out there.

We have had 2 treatments this year and the second one the rain washed away about a half hour after the treatment. We now have 10 to 15 weeds that are knee high in our yard. I have been trying for two weeks to have it treated again and keep getting the run around. Very displeased with the service so far

We had them last year and cancelled after 2 services. They promised that we will see a difference in a couple treatments but nothing happened. They then started to make excuses. This year we have all new sod so we decided to give them one more try because they gave us reasonable pricing. Again seeing a lot of weeds after 2 treatments. Trying to call them again for re-service but it is very difficult for them to answer the phone and to get them to come back.

Worst Service ever. I was with them for an year hearing their false promises. Found out that, Their treatments are not as effective as other providers comparing other lawns next door. They dont care for your lawn. Even after the regular treatment, They did not even cared to look for insects/ grubs that were developing in the lawn. When i noticed and called them, they didnt have an answer. So, they scheduled someone to come over to take a look after a week. After the inspection, They postponed my treatment 3 times not treating the lawn for more than 2 more weeks. When i called them, Their response was i cant do anything but postpone your treatment further. Not even apologized for crappy job/ iterative postponements.Seriously needs to learn Customer Service 101 and deliver whats promised.

Hired Davenport late in the spring so the pre-emergent for weeds was not done as per the schedule. Understood. After 2 treatments I had some weeds and they were very responsive to coming out to spot treat. After approx a week the areas treated died. Quite a few very large areas - some 4 ft x 8 ft. Called them out for a consultation. After much discussion they said it happens sometimes with the extreme drought conditions and high heat and they would refund a treatment cost and offered 1/2 off on the fall seeding, and come out and treat the rest of the weed problems. We agreed that was reasonable and they needed time to get the lawn right. After the revisit they called and rescinded their offer. No change in the facts, just decided the large dead spots were not their problem. They treated the areas for weeds and everything was dead in very large spots. I was willing to work with them and allow them the time to get the lawn right, but after making a verbal face to face offer and then for no understandable reason, changing their mind a few days later, I no longer use them for the lawn service.Following Davenports response please note: There was a lack of communication and other circumstances that appeared to cause the extreme dying of the yard. But please note I met with a CSR on site and we came to an agreement and without any facts changing, they rescinded that agreement within the week. I did give them another chance, but they did not come thru with their end of the bargain. That is why I am no longer using them. TRUST is important....

This is my second house I have had them treat and they have been nothing but professional and prompt with their service. I always get a text message a few days before they come out and my lawn looks fantastic.

DE rescued our weedy wasteland. A revived lawn looked great in 2018. Great team, a new challenge awaits them since we wait to see a burnt, brown lawn get their personal care.

Today was the 4th visit by Davenport, since we hired them. We are new residents to the area and decided to give them a try after their pitch at the front door shortly after we moved in. Bottom line, despite applying pre-emergent weed chemicals in late January, we ended up with quite a few weeds in the front yard in March. I didnt complain, so the next time they came out was for their next scheduled application. While they did apply weed killer to each of the weeds in the front, after waiting several weeks, they were still alive, which they claimed was due to the unusually cool weather. They agreed (although a bit reluctantly) to send someone out to respray them and did. However, those same weeds continued to grow and are now about 8-12 inches high in about 20 locations in the front. Again, I waited for them to come out for their scheduled service, which they did today. When I asked why the same weeds I had in March are still growing today, the service tech said the guy that came out last did not use a strong enough week killer formulation, so he was going to increase it. I am going to give them this one last chance to address this persistent issue, but if this application doesnt work, Im taking my business elsewhere. I currently have one of the weediest front yards in the neighborhood, and its embarrassing.

Just as other review said, inexperienced workers. Sprayed weed killer on the weeds around my juvenile Leland cypress trees. Killed one and the other 5 looked to be doomed. Worst part is the losers cannot admit their mistake or take responsibility. Attempted to say say it was a pre existing disease. Really? Only thing that has gone on my property was applied by these people. Save you hard earned money and hire someone else!

Inexperienced workers. They placed mulch in our community without a spring clean up or prep of the mulch bed area. The mulch washed away with the rain. They kept trying to charge for services we didnt need while under performing the contract they already had.NEVER!

My neighbor and I had houses built at the same time. I had my yard treated by Davenport they did not. After one season the difference was night and day. I had a healthy lawn and my neighbors was weed choked. Our neighbor is now with Davenport.
