I first reached out to the clinic for a free consultation. The staff were very informative about where my hair loss was occurring and the process of hair transplant. After waiting a couple months to weigh my options I decided to go forward.I chose the individual transplant vs the traditional strip method to avoid any scars.First I must say everyone from the owner to the staff truly care and will go out of their way to take care of you.When I arrived and we got the paperwork out of the way we began immediately. The process of removing the hairs is long and tedious but you’re free to take breaks as needed and they will feed you lunch of your choosing from many restaurants.Once finished you’ll begin the process of inserting the individual follicles. This process is a little faster than extraction plus you get to watch movies, which they have a large and current selection.When completed they send you home with proper instructions and contact info should you need it.Overall I’m extremely happy with the level of service, professionalism and care they provide.A few recommendations should you decide you’re ready.- Get a very high skin fade prior to avoid looking too silly after or simply shave your head prior.- Don’t be afraid to tell them what you’d like.- Bring music to listen to during the extraction.Overall it’s a very painless process and I have zero regrets and I’m glad to have found this clinic.*****UPDATE***** MARCH 2021*****Since my hair appointment I couldn’t be happier! I had hair transplants in 1992-1993 by another practice when grafts were larger and caused more scaring. My procedure ended up causing a raised area which I covered with hair systems for years. I was able to feel more comfortable with the scaring over the years to pursue options to correct. Although I might not qualify as a Jernigans client, they went out of their way to help me pursue options and spent their own time to help. I never felt rushed and I could tell they were truly glad to help. I might never be a customer, but I was impacted by their sincerity and honesty. Both Natasha and Dr. Koher listened and gave great advice during my session. Dr Koher is reaching out to his Doctor networks and professional organizations to find possible options and already gave me a good plastic surgeon option. I might never find a feasible medical solution, but I was left with a very good impression of what Jernigans provides and their staff. Both Natasha and Dr Koher have a deep knowledge of the hair transplant industry.

Worst decision Ive ever made. Hair transplant had both pitting and cobblestoning but redness lasting for years and permanent scarring. There is daily pain especially in the cold in both donor and recipient areas. Excess of oil and shine that wont go away.They did not listen to what I wanted and placed the hairline way lower than what was communicated. Laser removal does help to reverse but does not get everything and Im forced to pluck my forehead and lament for hours each day. This was suppose to raise my self-esteem but has all but destroyed it.My advice would be to avoid, the risk of the worst-case scenario is too great.

So I started going to Jernigans for hair PRP’s. Where they take your platelets and put them back into your hair and your hair grows back. I had such a great result that I thought well if this can make my hair grow then I should definitely try it for my face. Well I can’t tell you how much my face is glowing. I feel like I have my youthful glow back and I feel so incredibly confident. I will definitely be going back for more PRP’s (hair and face)!!!!!

So I will try to make my review as quick but informative as possible. I went in for a consultation back in August 2018. I had a receding hairline and since the hair loss was toward the front of my scalp and not the back, the only way to effectively deal with the problem was hair transplant surgery. I chose to have the surgery done a little over a month after the consultation. The type of surgery that was performed was by taking a donation from the back of my scalp and transplanting it at the front where the hair loss was occurring. Jernigans does a really great job about telling you what will happen and keeping you informed. They do an even better job at pain management. I did not feel any pain during the surgery. I was pretty much watching movies during the surgery. If the sedation starts to wear off some, let the staff know and they will inject additional Novocaine to knock any pain off. To be honest, I nearly fell asleep during the whole process. I was there a solid six hours from start to finish.All this being said, Ive waited about 15 months before giving my opinion. The front of my scalp most definitely has more hair growth than before but if you look at it from the top, it is still thinner than the back of my scalp. To be honest, I was expecting more growth than what I received. I was told that the closest that they can insert hair follicles during the surgery is 1mm apart. I am a bit disappointed with my results as I paid thousands for this procedure and looking at my hair growth, feel that the results may not have been worth half of what I actually paid. I realize individual results will vary from person to person. I just feel that my results do not match what I was told to expect at my initial consultation.

April and Natasha are wonderful!!! If you go here, make sure you ask for them. Also, received my first PRP treatment today and I couldn’t have asked for a better day. The gentleman (sorry, I forget him name ) was AWESOME as well. I will be going back for second PRP in a month and can’t wait. You won’t be disappointed if you come here!!

I have to say that we were a little nervous to go to Jernigans because of the limited reviews and a couple bad ones (like all businesses who get reviewers on Google). I actually inquired about that when we went in for the treatment and I was told that it is tough to get good reviews bc most people who go for these services want to remain anonymous- makes a lot of sense. HOWEVER, I am SO glad we chose this place. You dont know what youre missing until you visit here. First, the hospitality is off the charts. The staff couldnt be more friendly. I waited all day for my spouse to be done with the treatment and they set me up in a PRIVATE room where I could work from my laptop with internet, snacks, drinks, and I was checked on several times to make sure I was comfortable. My spouse got the same care and great conversations during the treatment. Second, they do a really thorough job and they care. They have a great eye for things and they have so much experience. The results are fantastic. No wonder they have been in business so long and the two ladies we worked with had been working there for 20 years which speaks volumes to the way they treat their staff. You can tell its a family friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for the services they provide, we would highly recommend (and were pretty tough critics usually)!

The staff is extremely professional and is extremely educated in their field. Their hair products are the best, and I always use their spray in conditioner for me and my daughters. Ive had my hair colored there, and I loved the natural highlights that they put in my hair. The color lasted longer than other salons, and I highly recommend them! A wonderful experience from the start to finish!

I had 2 procedures at Jernigans; total 6000 grafts and result is, zero growth. Both surgeries failed. The first one was 3000 grafts before 5 years but no hair growth. I can understand one failure but During follow ups, Dr. Koher and his assistant, Natasha assured me of much better results if I go for another procedure. I again went for second procedure with additional 3000 grafts. After spending so much and going through the painful procedure twice, I am regretting my decisions. Now I have scar on the back of my head, I have lost so much money and end result is thinning hairline. I don’t blame Dr. Koher, it was my mistake, I went for second procedure with the same surgeon even after the first one produced zero results!!If you are planning to go for hair transplant, please spend more time in researching on surgeons, reading reviews, talking with their prior patients (especially insist on talking with dissatisfied patients with bad reviews) and then only select right surgeon. Please don’t decide based on facility ambience, initial treatment given by staff and assurance given during initial consultation. Even if there is one bad review, you should question surgeon about that review and try to get into the fact.You have to understand, hair transplant is a cosmetic surgery so it’s a money making business!!

An amazing clinic. Back in November 2016, I was enlightened by Jernigans about the possibility that has changed my entire life. Now that 1 year has passed since my hair transplant therapy treatment, I feel like it is time to leave an honest review to help others make an informed decision.First, I had the procedure when I was 33 years old. I am a male and experienced traditional male pattern baldness since age 25 and had been using Rogaine ever since. I had a receding hairline as well as thinning on the crown. Of all the options, my analysis showed that hair transplant therapy is the most likely procedure to yield the expected results.Short review- I chose Jernigans because it was a family owned operation that offers more personalized service. The results came out better than I expected and I now have more confidence and no side effects. The results are also permanent. If you can afford it, which is around $10k, you should do it.Long review- I was an ideal candidate. At 33 I was still relatively young. My donor hair (back of the head) was thick and full. I was probably a Type IV on the Norwood scale for baldness. I had realistic expectations.The procedure itself is a bigger deal than you think it is, and also a bigger deal than the doctors make it out to be, so be ready. Its an all day affair of outpatient surgery. They numb your scalp with injections of lidocaine (or similar) periodically throughout the day. They literally cut a flap of skin out of the back of your head and then dice that up to obtain the donor follicles. Then they poke holes in the bald spots of your head and manually insert each follicle into those holes. During the procedure, your scalp will regain its feeling at different times at different sections. Once it starts to hurt somewhere you ask them for more injections in that area, so you are always in this balance of trying to determine how much pain you should endure somewhere before asking for another shot. By the end of the day, you are ready to be done, but dont worry, it is all worth it.The recovery from this procedure is worse than you think too. I drove home from the procedure, but I would recommend getting a ride if you can. The first two days are a little rough, so dont plan on doing anything major. You also want to be careful when you sleep, and follow all of their advice exactly (until the scabs heal over). You will feel strong sensations of pleasure and pain at the same time when you put a bag of frozen corn on your head. You will not want to go in public. In fact, you dont want to go in public for the first week, and after that, only with a hat for the next week or two.Then there is the drainage. After a day or two, all of that liquid from the injections finds its way out by slowly rolling down your face (inside your skin). That rolling takes about a week and a half and it is weird. It drains out in various ways and is otherwise absorbed by your body.Your head will scab over and you want to be careful not to mess with the scabs until they heal over. But then at a certain point they do heal over, so you want to start to get aggressive about getting them off. Be sure to do that when the time is right.Once you get through those first few weeks you will be anxious to see some results, but hang on there trigger, it will take 6 months. But then after 6 months, you start to see something happening, and you get more optimistic. You will keep getting more and more elated between then and 1 year. You might get some more growth after a year, but you should be happy by then and you will have most of what you are going to get.For me, this has been a game changer and was so worth it. It is a significant time and money investment but the results are permanent and awesome. Of all of the clinics I evaluated, I found Jernigans to be the natural choice. Dr. Koher is a natural at his profession and in general a down to earth guy. Natasha could not be a better support person or give you more personalized care. I hope that you have as good of an experience as I did with Jernigans if you choose to do it.
