The girls here work Magic. I’ve been with Rae for over a year now (since I moved to the area) she is by far the best stylist in the Triangle. She is so talented and I never feel rushed, and I always feel like I get my money worth. I also have been to Michelle recently. And I swear she read my mind and colored my hair exactly the way I was imagining. I’ve gotten highlights, baby lights, cuts, Brazilian Blow outs. It’s all been ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Oh and they are so nice, sweet and funny too. It’s always a good time at the salon!!! And they use fantastic products in the salon/for sale!

Simply amazing to say the least! The atmosphere was great. Everyone of these ladies were wonderful, all of their goofy personalities just seemed to work so well together. From the moment I stepped in the door I felt comfortable. I had the pleasure of having Michelle, and she transferred my hair and brought it back to life. I will absolutely be returning!!!!!

I hate to have to say this but this is not an honest business. Rae told me she was doing a permanent relaxer on my hair. The results were great, but a few weeks later my hair went back to the way it had been before exactly. Even though I told her over and over again that I needed a permanent treatment and not a keratin treatment, when I checked my receipt I saw that she had billed me for a keratin treatment.When I called her to find out what happened, she assured me she HAD done a permanent treatment, but I had not done proper aftercare and thats why it didnt last. I asked her to tell me what product she used on my hair, and when I looked it up, it was in fact a keratin treatment and was not permanent. She told me the company may use different verbiage, but the way she had used it, it was permanent.I called the company to verify and they informed me they do not make any permanent straightening products and there is no known technique that would make any of their products permanent. Rae was very sweet and everyone was very friendly and accommodating but unfortunately this is the worst type of deception and I would have to recommend every steer clear of this salon.

I was referred to Rae after having gone through a bad Keratin Bonds extensions experience (horrendous is actually more accurate). The stylist I had previously worked with not only DESTROYED my hair and severely misrepresented her skill level but wouldve continued to do so if I had not been introduced to Rae.Since my initial consultation in February (2020), Rae has delivered nothing but high-quality service, with her work speaking for itself. I whole heartedly recommend her!

Hayley did my first ever keratin treatment and colored my hair! I LOVE IT! Looks amazing still. She worked for hours on my hair. She was kind! The salon was so cute! It made me feel welcome to be in the building! LOVE IT here and I will most certainly be back!

I absolutely LOVE going to M&M. Ive cut and colored my own hair for years, but no longer! For my wedding, I wanted a very specific color, one that is hard to get and Michelle perfectly colored and cut my hair just the way I wanted it! Two months later and everyone is still complimenting me on my hair.The environment is wonderful and fun at M&M; everyone is pleasant and talks with you like weve all been best friends for the longest. Rae is a phenomenal owner and stylist, with great tastes. If you havent been, you should go! Even as I sat having my own hair done, I watched others have their hair styles or colored and was impressed with what I saw. I havent found a better, cost-efficient salon yet. Thank you all again for my wedding transformation! Ill be back soon ❤️❤️

I came to Manes and Mascara for extensions. At my consultation I was told that I could get medium length hair with the same fullness to match my hair. I have a pixie cut and was showed a picture of a girl with a similar hair cut that received extensions and they looked great. Unfortunately I did not receive the same service. I was told it was going to take 2 hours for install and I was there for 7 hours. Also I was not informed during the consultation that there was going to be some discomfort. After my install I could not sleep for two nights. The beads were pulled so tight to my head. This may have been worth it if I had received beautiful hair, which I did not. The next day I tried everything I could to style it and no matter what it looked like a mullet. There was no hair on the sides and the back was completely flat. It looked like the tiger kings hair cut. Also the hair didn’t match my color hair and there was a clear line that showed the different color. It’s very sad that I paid over 2100 dollars for a professional to not refund my money for the service that I received. I was offered to come back in and get them taking out and re-done, the hair did not match mine so I don’t think that would have made it any better. So disappointing, I only asked for a partial refund because I know the hair costs money but it doesn’t cost 2100 dollars worth. The owner was not willing to even discuss a partial refund.

Rae is very talented. She welcomed me with a smile and was very professional. My sister was visiting from out of states and Rae was sweet enough to bring out a tv for her to watch. Rae is so sweet & kind and thoughtful. Rae asked me questions about how I like to wear my hair, in a pony tail up or down which I appreciated. This way she knew where to place my hair extensions. My hair came out full bodied and beautiful!! I did not have much hair to begin with and it is so easy to take care of my new manes. Rae made us feel comfortable throughout my visit. I would recommend anyone who is a perfectionist to come in for a visit. I’m hard to please but was ecstatic about my new long beautiful voluptuous hair! I’ll be back. 😍

I met Michelle when she was still working at another salon. As everyone knows a cut is the most important thing about a hairstyle. After having more than a few bad haircuts since moving to Raleigh from out of state, it has been truly refreshing to finally have found someone with great energy and, who also listens to what I want. The new salon, Manes and Mascara is an additional pleasure in my hair experience. I highly recommend Michelle. She’s just a joy to be around.

Rae and her staff are so warm and inviting. I instantly felt at home in her salon. She is super knowledgable about her craft and did everything possible to accommodate all my needs and wishes. Ray is absolutely the most amazing Miracle Worker on the planet, she put up with my two kids and husband for 4 hours. That being said let the real review begin: I will forever be going to Ray until the end of my time here on earth, she found me the most amazing, stunning and best quality extensions a person could ask for. I have been going to Rae for all my haircare needs for almost 2 years now. She always does an amazing job on my cut, style, color and most recently extensions. I had the bonded hair extension put in and she did a fabulous job. I would highly recommend her!

I started what we have dubbed my “hair journey” with Rae over a year ago, and looking back hasn’t once crossed my mind! After ~15 years of at home box color, my hair was pretty unhealthy, lifeless, and obviously poorly colored. I started with the intent of going sort of platinum with a lavender hombre, but thankfully Rae steered me away from this. We have done several beautiful hombres, always balayage, added layers, etc. but the most dramatic and fun thing has probably been the NBR extensions which I love, love, love! I know I can always count on Rae for stellar service and recommendations tailored to me, a beautiful end result, and lots of laughs and great girl chats while I’m in the chair!
