If you have anyone other than Lees Hardwood Floors do your hardwoods, you are making a big mistake! I own an old house and had a complicated situation with finding asbestos in the original tile in the subfloor. Daniel at Lees did me a huge favor by suggesting that I have the floors tested (avoiding spreading asbestos into other areas of my house). They adjusted to every hiccup that occurred during the whole process and Tina and Heather were amazing working together with me. The final product was a beautiful hardwood floor in my kitchen. Their crews are professional and highly skilled. Great company!
Lees Hardwood Floors is a family owned business and I selected them due to their good reputation and excellent equipment for good workmanship. They provided plenty of hardwood samples and assisted me with selecting a color which matched my existing foyer hardwood. Their work turned out great. They pulled out my family room carpet, scraped the floor of imperfections, nailed all the 4x8 plywood, got all the squeaks out of my existing floor, laid out the new hardwood for color match and board length before nailing the new floor down. The job took 2 days. They sent workers back to resolve any minor imperfections I saw, such as leveling the air ducting vents in the floor and firmly securing the floor power plugs. The trim they selected matched the floor well and they consulted me on small matters as I was watching the floor go in. All of their workers wore face masks during this COVID-19 event. Their pricing was competitive. Their good customer service is what makes the difference.
I had my kitchen hardwood floor done by them and I am very happy. They offered a competitive price and finished the project as promised. I would work with them again.
We had Lees remove 750 feet of carpet from three rooms and a Cat Walk. It was replaced with prefinished flooring, which is not easy to retrofit over an area designed for carpet. Lees had the requisite knowledge and experience to handle all of the details. It was completed in three days by four teams of workers--each specializing in their own tasks. I highly recommend them to anyone considering this type of renovation.
Lee’s hard wood floors poor quality. Not worth the 5k I paid. Lots of cracks left open. All around close to walls not sanded well. When I called them about all the cracks, I was told that repairing cracks was not included, then why I was not informed that when getting estimate?. All these businesses just have contractors to do their jobs. The right thing to do as a business owner is to meet with client after job is done and made sure client is satisfied. That’s call customer service, Mr. Lee
Lee’s has done it again! They are THE best! This is the second job Lee’s has done for us, and we could not be happier from the preliminary interface with Tina, and the crews that did the work!! Professionalism from start to finish and an impeccable job! Thank you!! You won’t find better!
The good : Exceptional assistance in helping us pick out the right flooring. The flooring itself was installed nicely, 1 hiccup that was corrected after we pointed out they floored over a vent. The bad : we dont recommend their 3rd party vendor for stair and railing work. Overpriced. We could not get over how they replaced some of our cracked balusters for free, but when we asked for a price to replace every single baluster, the price was incredible, like $750 dollars for balusters that cost $6 each, maybe 20 in total. The staining done on the stairs was sloppy- they slopped stain onto some woodwork and on the door at top of stairs. I wish I had just had them do the flooring work only.
We were very pleased with the installation of new prefinished hardwood floors in our kitchen and family rooms. The office staff gets high marks for their service and attentiveness. They were very explicit and informative about the process. Daniel was very helpful in guiding us with our selection and his crew did an outstanding job with the installation. They took great care with our home especially removing tile from our kitchen floor. They were very friendly, professional and addressed all our concerns. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future and highly recommend this company.
Whatever you do do not use these people. They ruined our kitchen cabinets that cost $50,000 and now refuse to pay the $7500 it will cost to repair them. They tried to offer us $1500 thinking somehow that would make it right. We plan to take them to small claims court. Terrible customer service, tried to blame us for their crews mistake. Crew member even admitted to us they made the original mistake and tried to cover it up.
Lees Hardwood Floors is an outstanding company in every respect. From the initial consultation and estimate conducted by Jeremy to the final handshake with the installers Lucas and Rogelio, our experience was beyond expectation. We love our new floors and they make it feel like a new home. It was a joy to work with the office staff as well. Any questions along the way were taken care of professionally and efficiently. I would highly recommend calling Lees Hardwood Floors for your next flooring job.
Lees did an awesome job refinishing and installing hardwoods, the process was seamless. We had a hard transition piece that had to be custom made and they were willing to work with us to our satisfaction. We had originally contracted to refinish the entire house; however, due to furniture moving we chose not to, they were willing to remove that work from the contract without any issues. Thank you all so much!
Helpful and kind. Helped us with selection and also gave us time to look without feeling pressured.
What an amazing company. How refreshing to interact with such an honest company and manager. They saved me a lot of money on a floor that just needed a little repair, rather than an entire refinish. I would recommend Lees Hardwood Floor. 5 Stars.
We had our floors replaced 4 years ago by Lee Hardwoods. We asked for EXACTLY the quality and color that was in the house that had been damaged by water.Lee Hardwood put in a lesser quality and the color was wrong. They refused to correct the situation.Today we have floors that squeak and have not aged to the color we wanted - Lee said they would age to our color.Customer service was very poor.
I have very positive comments for Lees Hardwood Floors! We have a fairly new home and due to dishwasher leak, we had to have about 2000 SF completely refinished. When I called different vendors, Kristina took my call and was very helpful and when I told her I may not keep the appointment for an estimate (because I already had a few lined up). She began to tell me about why I should choose them. Theyve been in business for 34 years, the equipment they use is state of the art, they have an experienced staff of professionals, etc. She does not own the company, but behaved as if she does. Then Daniel, the owner, came out to give us a quote and we had a great conversation and I thought he was very thorough in describing the process, etc. From here I worked with Heather to make all the arrangements - from scheduling to payments. Shes no nonsense, direct, and to the point. Maybe a bit of a bull dog, but thats a great attribute when youre doing the equivalent of herding cats. She is organized and prompt with follow up and returns calls within a reasonable period. Then there were the guys who worked tirelessly sanding, staining, and sealing. This was a big job and it was hot and hard. I even saw them on their hands and knees sanding by hand the places that couldnt be reached with the large sander. I was also pleasantly surprised that there wasnt more dust! The vacuum system they have really does remove 95% of the dust created in the process. Then there was Chris and team who replaced the shoe molding. As soon as I met him he thanked me for our business. Its another way that these folks act like business owners.Refreshingly different. Finally, Steve came in for the final coat and made some repairs I requested. He was very committed to our satisfaction. Overall, they did an outstanding job and our floors look amazing! The only negative I have is that the painted baseboards and moldings really take a beating in the process. I too, had to hire a professional painter to come behind them as it really was more than touch up that needed to be done.
Working with Lees was very easy! Heather was extremely patient with me while I decided which work to have done and while scheduling on my difficult calendar. The work was done very well and everyone who came to the house was respectful and polite.I would highly recommend working with them!
Lees Hardwood installed new hardwood floors last week in our living room. They did a fantastic job. The price was very reasonable. All the people we worked with were great (from the estimator we originally met, to the office staff, to the actual installers, sanders, and guys who stained/ poly-ed the floors). The communication was great, they showed up when they said they would, and answered all our numerous questions. And the finished product looks amazing!
The work I need done actually isnt possible. BUT, out of 8 inquiries I made, across several trades, this company was the only one to respond within 24 hours. Kristina actually emailed me twice and explained up front what I needed to know and what could and couldnt be done. My compliments to this company for being big enough to get the job done without losing their personal touch. Kudos, especially to Kristina.
My floors came out very nice, not perfect, but I love the new look in my home. That said, the entire experience was awful. The original quote was wrong and they ended up adding $1400 to the cost because of their error. They negotiated down from what it would have cost, but if theyd quoted full price, they would not have won the business. Communications about when they were coming and going was nil. Never got a straight answer from anyone. And they beat my walls, doors and cabinets terribly. Youll sign a waiver for damage, but it was as if they didnt care about my house at all. When I received my call at the end to make sure everything was okay, I told them there are some issues. Her response, okay, can I go ahead and charge the balance to your credit card? They dont care that Im writing this review, because the owner of the company is writing his own good reviews about himself online. Cant recommend them at all.
We had our floors refinished. It has now been nearly 4 months and things look great. No issues afterwards. Very happy with our custom stain choice. Any concerns on my part were addressed quickly and completely. The team that did the work was trustworthy, polite, clean, conscious of my personal space and belongings, and paid attention to details. As with any contractor, I would advise getting everything in writing, ensure you understand what will be done and when, and address issues immediately.
As an interior designer, I dont like to give away my very best resources--but Lees Hardwood Floors did such an exceptional job on refinishing the hardwood floors in my own home this week, that I just have to spill the beans on this one! The quote was professionally presented, making it easy to understand the cost and every step of the process. They arrive on time, the dustless sanding is probably 98% dustless (amazing) and when I requested that they come back to address a very small issue, they did so promptly and politely. We could not be happier and I will continue to recommend this company to clients and neighbors with confidence.
Very Misleading. I was told I would be responsible for touch-up painting. What they did not tell me is I would be responsible for ALL the painting on the treads. This included, removing staples, caulking, filling holes, priming and painting. I need to have a professional painter come in and finish the work. Which would have been fine, if I were told this from the beginning.Received a call from Mr. Lee after this post. He was very apologetic and agreed the work that was left was not, touch-up. He offered to come out and look at my stairs but I already hired a painter to come in and complete the job. I was very appreciative of his call.
Lees did a beautiful job installing pine floors in our bedroom and finishing on site. They also refinished our stairs. Some stairs showed some discrepancies in the stain but they sent a crew back out to refinish again, and they look great. We are very pleased. They also keep to their schedule in a timely manner.
Extremely honest - these guys have been in business for years, and their store and staff stand testament. Be sure to visit their store.Amazing value - we shopped around with at least 4 other big floor firms locally, and all were at least 15% more expensive.Great quality site finish - the floor finish looks amazing, not a fault or even damage, and amazingly almost no dust the entire time.
From beginning to end, our experience with Lees Floors has been outstanding. First came Jeremy, a very knowledgeable and friendly rep who gave us the estimate and answered our questions (and, later on, periodically checked on the progress of our floors). Next came more questions for the staff--Heather and Kristina in particular--who unfailingly answered our concerns and provided important information on what to do (and not do) before and after our floors were refinished. The end result: beautiful hardwood floors! Our thanks goes also to the great crew who did our floors: Romeo, Louis and Richard!
I had my wood floors refinished and was very delighted that there was very little clean-up. The vacuum system that picks up 98% of the dust really works! The crews were very professional and friendly. Great job! I will be recommending Lees Hardwood to all my friends and neiborghes.
Lee Hardwood floors did a remarkable job re finishing our floors. The crews were courteous knowledgeable, and gave my family and me a comfort level with the work being performed. They delivered a high quality on time and under budget.
We used Lee to do our entire first floor. They were refinishing the original Bruce pre finished hardwoods (oak). They did a fantastic job and the floors look great (including several areas that were damaged due to sloppy dogs with wet paws and water bowls). The nicest aspect was that even though it took a little longer than planned to sand the floors (due to the original factory finish), they kept to the schedule they gave us several months back which is very important when you cant stay in the house! They were also the most competitive price. I would not hesitate to recommend Lees to anyone.
Now 4 years later the floors are squeaking. The dark brown piece of wood in the foyer has NOT softened and can clearly be seen in the honey floor. The only resolution we had at the time was to sue our contractor. Lee Hardwood would not have been affected. A lot of legal fees for nothing...IF only the owners had stood up and corrected the situation in the beginning.I do not recommend this company. They told me my floor would age to what I had asked for. This has not happened. The very dark boards clearly stand out in the natural flooring especially in the foyer area. You can see buff marks and spaces between the boards. Do not use this company.
Actually had a great experience from start to finish. Lucas NEEDS A RAISE for going above and beyond work to ensure everything was done. We had picked out our stains and the day of staining we were there when he was putting the first part down. (basically unlock the doors for them) My wife saw that the color we picked was actually too similar to what we choose and was upset, without hesitation Lucas grabbed a different stain and gave her the option to change it to what she wanted. (This was pure luck that we happened to be there so it was not something that is normal, just happened to be at the right place at the right time and Lucas fixed it immediately) He is also the one who ended taking charge and making sure everything was removed and put back in place (furniture) The floor came out amazing and is just really great. All assorted individuals who came out to do the work when I unlocked and locked my doors were always polite and courteous. I was actually pleased and very happy with outcome.
This company is not forth company about their minimum job requirements. They will waste your time setting up an estimate and then dump you and your job. They will never have the honor to work on my home!!!
Lee’s just completed a Sunroom for us with hardwood flooring to match our other rooms. It was blended in perfectly. They also installed a screen porch with pvc plank flooring. All schedules were met, price was as contracted, and their employees treated our home like it was theirs. We will use them again.
This company (and Jeremy, in particular) was a pleasure to work with. We had them install roughly 1200 square feet of pre-finished, engineered hardwood floor on a slab foundation. From initial contact, to sales, to installation, to completing the final punch list, they made quality a top priority and ensured that the work was done in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family and would certainly hire them again in the future.
We received estimates from several flooring companies, but decided to go with Lees Hardwood Floors because of the top notch service we received from beginning to end. We did a sanding/refinishing of our existing hardwoods and also added hardwoods to our first floor master (previously carpet). I was a little nervous about how they would blend the new hardwoods with the existing hardwoods and all I can say is WOW It looks like hardwoods have always existed throughout the home! The entire team at Lees treats you like youre family - I had the pleasure of working with Christina, Heather, Jeremy, and Mrs. Lee personally. If youre even thinking about doing hardwoods, I cant recommend them enough. Thank you so much for the great experience and the INCREDIBLE looking floors!
Lees installed pre-finished hardwood in two of our bedrooms along with installation of a custom hardwood staircase. We are very pleased with the work that they done for us. The entire experience with Daniel, Office Staff and Installation Crews was most positive and professional. We will use Lees again for any future hardwood work that needs to be done in our home.
I Do not recommend this company. They are not professional and not responsible. Jeremy never came to make sure that all his promises about the quality of work and the deadline for performing the work were being fulfilled. Workers came to my house about ten in the morning, sat in the car for about thirty minutes and then started to work, and about 11:45 were leaving for lunch. From lunch they returned around 1:30 while smoking they spent about 15-20 minutes about 5-6 times and finished work about five. They worked on average about 1 hour before lunch and after lunch about 2-3 hours; and as the work went slowly and with frequent interruptions there were many differences in the level of the floor due to uneven drying of the adhesive and a lot of empty areas where the board can move and possibly break down and after completing all the work the floor should be at rest but workers dont know about!! The thickness of the engineering board can vary in the range from 4 to 11 mm, which allows for a minimum of three polishing and floor restoration if the necessary technological rules are followed and since they were not performed this is impossible after the work performed by this company!!
As a Realtor in the Raleigh area, I have used Lees Hardwoods for my clients and myself for many years. Their quality and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend them to any client looking to refinish, replace, or add new hardwoods. The added plus for me is that they are such nice folks! When you call Daniel or Tina tell them DT sent you!Danny TaylorDT&CO Real EstateRaleigh NC
Everything promised was delivered! Our 20 year old floors look brand new! Very happy with the entire experience!
Lees installed new flooring and refinished some existing flooring for us after some flood damage. From start to finish the entire experience in dealing with them was excellent.Very knowledgable staff in the well presented showroom, Daniel had great ideas for us and delivered the estimate on time, worked with our budget and our GC. Everything arrived and was installed exactly as planned. Installers were very helpful when it came to choosing the right stain. Our floors are fantastic. Thank you to all at Lees. When my wifes this Happy, Im happy.
Great staff that does awesome work!
They refinished my downstairs hardwood a week ago and replaced a couple of rotten boards. Extremely pleased with the result. Would highly recommend this Co. as they finished in the agreed upon time and did a pro job.
Thanks for a great job! Great service!
If you are looking to refinish or install new hardwood floors, Lees Hardwood Floors is a great choice. Daniel is very knowledgeable and has been in business a long time - since 1983. The installers and finishers do great work, and they dont sub out. The vaccum system is tremendous, and only left the slightest of dust after they were complete. You can trust the work they say theyll do. Flooring is an expensive endeavor, and if you look around, there are companies much more expensive and even some less expensive that Lees. However, being a little more than the low-baller competitor is well worth it given the quality of job they provide.
Floors turned out nicely, but we experienced lousy customer service. They were not willing to listen and address my customer concerns and they have messy installers who left a lot of clean up.
Even though I was only a walk-in do-it-yourselfer needing only a single box of hardwood flooring, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! I wish Id have gone to the experts there first, before ordering the wrong box online by myself.
I have used Lees Hardwoods personally and recommend them without reservation to my clients who have always been satisfied. They do beautiful work, at a competitive price, and on schedule.
I tell you what, from my experience with Lees they did a very good job on my hardwood floors and exceeded my expectations.
Nasty on the phone!!!
