A1 Floors was referred to me by my coworkers when I was looking to redo my floors and A1 Floors came highly recommended. I now see why, John was our sales person and he made time for us to get an estimate over the weekend and it turns out that we worked with John in the past through another company that provide great flooring service. If your doing flooring on a budget and still want quality floors and service, A1 Flooring are your people. Quality floors, fast installation and helped me stay on budget. We love our floors!

We recently had A1 Floors come to our home to level out flooring between several rooms and install white oak hardwood floors in our kitchen, half bath, living room, dining room, and hallway. The team did an incredible job! Kate was super helpful when she came by our home for the initial estimate and review of what we needed done in our home. We purchased our our hardwood floor and they were more than willing to install it, which we loved (we were shocked by the number of companies unwilling to install consumer purchased material, especially in a time when it is difficult to get hardwood flooring in your hand without waiting several months). Our project manager John was very helpful and communicative the day of and Edwins install team was so nice and hardworking! They were super polite and got the entire job done in one day (800 sq ft across the first floor). We would highly recommend A1 Floors for your install needs!

Their motto is to exceed expectations from consultation to installation and they certainly did!! Our consultant, Kate was such an amazing help - she was exceptionally patient with us as we were deciding what we wanted to do with the floor, and super responsive whenever we had questions even after the consult. And the installers got our old carpet and hardwood out and new flooring installed so quickly and efficiently. And vacuumed the carpets when they finished. The floors will need a quick mop, which is to be expected, but we are IN LOVE with our new space!

Props to A1 floors for doing a great job with changing the floors in my townhouse. They removed the carpet upstairs with engineered hardwood and replaced the carpet in the stairs, and it looks amazing!From start to finish, they made the process easy for a 1 stop shop. They came to our house to give a quote. Once we told Robyn a few of our preferences, she chose a  few samples for us, making sure we werent overwhelmed. After decided to go with them, scheduling a day for them to come do the work was easy, and it was super helpful that they could do it on a Saturday.From start to finish, it took them about 6 hours to do the work. We are really satisfied with our luxury vinyl plank flooring recently installed in our living room and dining room areas. From the initial sales contact, through ordering and scheduling A-1 floor kept us informed all the way. Once the flooring came in we we able to schedule within the week. The installation crew was hard working and professional and put the furniture back in its original location. Able to finish everything in one day. Great job !

A1 Floors installed hardwood floors in our downstairs bedroom. The whole process from start to finish was excellent! The initial sales visit went smoothly and Robyn was very helpful. The actual install day went fairly smooth. There was a mix up with the color of the molding but they took care of it the same day and were able to complete the job. The crew did a great job with cleaning up and wore a mask when in the house. I would definitely recommend A1 for any of your flooring needs!

I would rather not write this review but want other consumers to know what they are possibly getting into. We scheduled an appointment with A1 Flooring for today, August 20th. The sales rep was on time, which I appreciated. However, within less than two minutes of being in our home, she starts rambling about the promo that you can ONLY get if you sign a contract, here and now. Apparently, the deal is that if you sign a contract while she is physically on your property, you get 33% off. Yes, you have to decide on the product you want, the color, the style, etc., before she leaves. If you need time to think about it, as most people do, then you forfeit this so-called deal. It was clear this wasnt about making sure that we have the dream flooring that we want. It was about putting ink on paper. This is not acceptable. She asked, So, what other companies have you worked with? How far along in the process are you? Sure, like most people, we are getting more than one quote as this is a reasonable thing to do. The ONLY reason why I am not giving it a one-star review is that the gentleman who answers the phone is polite and professional. I actually talked to him before writing this review, and he apologized. However, I feel it is important for other people to know what they are getting into when someone from A1 Floors comes into their homes. Be prepared to be uncomfortable and pressured inside your own home. She arrived at 11:03 am and was shown the door at 11:08. Lastly, we had another flooring company come earlier this morning, and the experience was completely different—what a frustrating situation.

We had a great experience with A1 flooring all around. They responded quickly with an estimate, sent someone out to measure/show material options and had our floors installed about a week later. The installers were extremely respectful - took their shoes off, cleaned up after themselves and worked super efficiently. I would highly recommend!

A1 did such an amazing job on their first flooring with us that we immediately decided to hire them again to complete our entire upstairs. The LVP floors are beautiful and really add value to our home. We love them!

Great job by A1 Floors! We were on a tight timeline, and John came out on a Saturday to measure and give us a quote, Monday we signed the contract and the floors were installed Thursday. The guys that took out the carpet and installed the floors worked the entire time and did a great job! Will be calling A1 when we are ready to do flooring in the rest of the house. Thank you!

Beware! The reason this company gets two stars is because they finally finished the project and corrected the mistakes and mishaps. Overall, as it currently stands, I do NOT and can NOT recommend this company to anyone unless you want to spend hours and hours sending messages and making phone calls and making appointments to get issues fixed. A one or two day job turned into a job that lasted over 1 month.The Good: The sales rep was amazing. Great customer service overall. Scheduling was easy and quick and I really like the color of the floors…that’s it.The Bad: Mostly everything else starting with the day of installation of the floors. Several mistakes were made: (ruined my kitchen cabinets-the cabinets were scratched badly- left the sink in bathroom leaking, scratched flooring, quarter round looked like it had been installed 10 years ago, the caulking job was subpar) the finishing touches were just not there. I was very disappointed with the overall job. Yes, they came back the next day to fix the scratched floor and the sink, a different day to touch up the cabinets, a different day to fix another part of the floor.The biggest nightmare was the stairs. They sent 3 different crews to finish the job in a span of over 1 month. A job that was supposed to take 1 or 2 days lasted almost 1 month. The first crew just butchered the stairs (I have pictures) left for the day and never came back. Stairs were left in a very unsafe state and the carpet upstairs was cut short. They had to send another crew two days later to “finish the job”. While this new crew “fixed” the stairs, they too messed up and left the color and sheen uneven and the carpet upstairs not repaired. All the wholes where nails went in were showing and were discolored and the caulking work was not the best. This crew had to come back to “re-finish” the stairs. Well, the re-finish did not go too well and did not take care of the problem. They had to send another stair person to finally fix the stairs. The stairs look much better but there are little issues still. Then, on another day a crew came to fix the carpet. So, a job that was supposed to take 1 or 2 days took over a month to be completed. Several missed days form work because we had to be available.For a job this expensive that was supposed to be turned key, my expectations were higher. I did not get turned key but a nightmare and missed wages. All the money, 100% of it was charged the morning the job started so beware of this. Other than coming back to fix what they broke or did do correctly in the first place no other concessions were made. (and yes, I have pictures of everything)

Could not be happier with their product, value and work of installing new carpets in our home. Kate was excellent in helping us pick out a carpet that met our needs, was a great value and left fewer seams than when the carpet was originally installed. The installers had a lot to do, but got it done in one day so we could be back in our beds that night. Excellent work, they were careful with moving our furniture and very professional to work with, especially with all my requests. The owner would get back to me promptly with my questions and made certain we were satisfied. Nice doing business with a company who treats their customers with such respect and kindness. Very satisfied with the whole experience.

We had A1 Floors replace all our upstairs carpeting and they did an excellent job. John and Kevin were always on top of things, and even got us rescheduled super fast with no issues when it was pouring rain on install day! I could not be happier with the crew and the overall experience. The carpet is perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend A1 to anyone.

A1 floors did a great job installing my laminate floors downstairs and they are priced fairly. Kevin came out quickly to provide a free estimate. They arrived on time and installed them properly. The installers were professional and friendly. They did such a great job I immediately scheduled to have an estimate to have my carpet replaced upstairs. Robin came to measure and give the estimate for the carpet replacement. She was extremely patient and awesome to work with and I scheduled to have the carpet replaced. I highly recommend the company.

Overall we had a great experience. Our home was built in 2017 and we selected dark engineered hardwood floors. We loved the look of our floors but hated the maintenance to keep them clean and beautiful. Instead of enjoying our new home we became the shoe police! If that wasnt enough the oils feet and socks would leave footprints as well. We were told to use a certain cleaner to maintain the floors or else we would void the warranty, and that cleaner left.......residue!!We finally had enough and decided to change our floors to LVP downstairs and remove all of the Level 1 carpet on the stairs, hallway and master bedroom. We couldnt be happier with the results! Our floors are much easier to clean, even with our small dog!The installation team was on time and professional, the prices are reasonable and both jobs were finished in one day. Our downstairs had over 900 sq ft. complete in about 8.5 hours. The engineered hardwood floors are still in place under the LVP floor.Once again, great experience! Our only recommendation is to discuss the trim molding after you make your selections. LVP isnt always easy to match up depending on the color. We have to have our mold redone downstairs to correct this. We are working with Kevin to resolve this.Thanks you A1 Floors!Update: 3-17-2020The trim was replaced two weeks ago and it looks amazing!!!! (See updated pictures) Thanks A1 Floors! Great service!

Kevin is the most professional person that I know of. He is the best. He came to my home showed me everything that I was looking for. His kindness and professionalism was the ultimate sales experience. I chose the flooring that I wanted and so we set up an appointment. The installation crew showed up on time. They were professional, kind and worked very hard and completed the job on time in one day.The crew cleaned up and placed everything back in place and I was so pleased. Absolutely fantastic! Kevin was great in coming to our home and bringing product to us. We had over 1900 sq ft of flooring replaced. We picked carpet and vinyl. The great crew showed up on time and got this very large job done in 1/2 the time it was scheduled. They did an amazing job in removing all old floor, vinyl, hardwoods, and carpet, moving the furniture, wonderful installation, and the end result is beautiful. Highly recommend this company. Oh, and did I tell you that their cost was less than their competitor and they had so much better customer service . Again, definitely recommend A-1

We just had our carpet changed due to water damage and Kate was great on working with us and our insurance adjustor. She always responded in a timely manner and came over twice to show us samples. The installation was also a good experience. They were professional and very flexible while doing my office, as I was working for part of the day. I would use A1 Floors again and recommend them.

We had our entire downstairs redone by A1 floors. They pulled out the carpet, tiles, old flooring and laid down new vinyl for us. Their financing made everything easy. Edwin and his crew came out for the installation and very quick, efficient, and cleaned up all the debris when leaving. I would highly recommend A1 Floors and will use them for my future flooring needs as well!

From start to finish I had an excellent experience with A1. When I started my hard surface flooring research months ago I felt like a student again, studying away and taking notes. There are so many different materials, brands and options to choose from it’s challenging to narrow things down. Once I had a good idea which material I wanted I had so many questions around various terminology, and weird caveats specific to my home. I realized quickly going with a big box retailer was not the way to go, I needed a pro and I wanted it done right - A1 exceeded those expectations.My only regret going with A1 was not connecting with Kate sooner. She is AWESOME. I could have saved a ton of time if I went straight to her. She’s very knowledgeable about all the options out there, friendly, communicative, patient, and most importantly, she’s trustworthy. I never felt like I was being sold, just educated on the best possible options. She ran into some inventory snags due to COVID supply challenges and she went above and beyond to deliver the best possible value for our home. Big thank you to Kate!The installation crew did a great job, and so fast! They completed our first and second floor (approx. 2,600 sq ft of flooring) in about a day and a half with excellent attention to detail. I was blown away at the quality of work plus how quickly the house was done. Its been a few weeks since our LVP was installed and I can’t find a single problem with the install. I communicated primarily with Elmer and he addressed all my questions and did a great job addressing a few challenging parts of the home. I highly recommend the team at A1, we love our new flooring!

We had A1 Flooring come out with a few other quotes for a master bathroom floor install as we had a leak by the tub/toilet ruining our subfloor. We chose A1 for their professionalism, friendliness, and quick response times. Prices were great, so we decided to match the laundry room and guest bathroom as well, which we are happy with. We love supporting family owned businesses over big box store ones! We had a few issues with leveling the floor out initially with the master bath and we not called to be rescheduled with the initial floor placement time. Kevin made it right and set us up with the soonest available appt and had the crew back out quickly to level the floor to our liking. We love the floor and an owner who makes things right. I cannot recommend A1 Floors highly enough; I recently used them to replace old carpet in the bedrooms, and install engineered hardwood in the living areas.As is typical with such projects, problems were encountered, and the scope increased with some significant subfloor repairs being needed.They handled it all with extreme professionalism. The entire experience from end to end was exceptional. from working with Kate (my estimator), Kevin (Sales Manager) and especially Edwin (Installer) and his crew.

A1 Floors has it all! It’s a locally owned, family business. It has great customer service exemplified by convenient and quick appointments in your home to measure, estimate, order and schedule installation and working with you to minimize the amount of carpet you need. They carry carpet made from recycled plastic and made from recycled carpet. On top of all that they have great prices and rapid turnaround on installation! We went to a “big box, do-it-yourself” store and their estimate was 30% more carpet than we could account for; too much waste and now beyond budget. No one could answer our questions so we decided to go with a full-service, flooring specialist and are so glad we did! A1 Floors did the job with minimal waste and we were able to get the bedroom carpeted within our budget. All around professionals, courteous and a joy to do business with THANK YOU!

Not only did I like their demeanor and pricing, I jumped to get another couple of rooms carpeted at another home BEFORE the original job that I was meeting with them about. I reached out to A1 Floors to install luxury vinyl plank flooring in an office conference room. Dylan responded immediately and scheduled an appointment to come see my space and provide an estimate. He took measurements and brought flooring samples. He was professional, polite, and able to answer all of my questions and steer me in the right direction. On the day of installation, the gentleman arrived on time. He was clean, efficient, and extremely polite and professional. After the installation was complete, Dylan stopped by to make sure we were pleased with the result. The floors look great! I absolutely recommend A1 Floors.

Great experience! I had two small bedrooms that needed carpeting, and an equally small budget with which to do it. Several places I called were simply not interested in a job the size of mine. I saw A1 had good reviews and gave it a shot - they were INCREDIBLY helpful. Kevin came out to do the estimate himself with samples that fit my budget. Within about a week and a half they were out there installing my new carpets. AND FAST! I was sure itd take all day but the guys they sent out were polite, efficient and thorough (and gone by the afternoon). They cleaned everything up and put all my (SUPER HEAVY) furniture back just the way it was. I waited a week or so to leave the review just to be sure it was all good - and so far its ALL GOOD. A1 Floors is an irresponsible and dishonest company I had to deal with. They did not do as they suppose to do as they write on the contract. When my floor got damage I call them and they did not response and they cut off my phone. So I have no choice to report them to Better Business Bureau and some other agencies. Please before you sign the contract with this company. if pay them already, they will be long gone. Be aware with this company, A1 Floors

A1 did an A1 job. Everyone involved. Dylan the sales rep found us a product we liked that fit our budget. Edwin the installer did a phenomenal job and made sure everything was clean when he left. Kevin the manager stopped by during the installation and made sure everything was going smoothly. Very stress free process.

Dylan was wonderful to work with ! He came to my house on multiple occasions to ensure that I picked out the perfect flooring to go in myFamily room . His guidance was great and he’s very knowledgeable. The work was awesome and I’ve gotten so many compliments ! I will use them again !

Great place to get new flooring installed

We recently had quite a bit of LVT flooring installed by A1 Floors and are very happy with the results. The floors are beautiful and the job was completed quickly and at a very reasonable price. Kevin Marks was very patient and helpful with choosing the flooring and with any questions that I had during and after the installation. The installers were very pleasant and worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done in one day. We are glad that we were able to use a local family business for this job.

A1 did a phenomenal job. Their sales rep Dylan came out and was very polite and respectful of our home. We were shown a variety of different carpet samples and were shown the differences and benefits each one had to offer. The install crew was very friendly and professional. We love our new carpet and would 100% recommend.

My wife and I recently moved into a new home and used A1 to re-carpet our whole upstairs. A1 is by far the best team we have worked with in along time. My mother is a realtor in Wilmington and she said no other company can touch there prices and quality. I highly recommend the team at A1. We worked with Kevin who was awesome!! A1 Floors did a great job on our stairs. We had the carpet replaced with hardwood and they turned out great. A1 Floors was easy to work with, and checked in after completion to be sure everything was right.

A1 floors very very unprofessional we have change my carpet in December 19 and it was not fixed properly our sales representative was DylanHolland I complain them with video of carpet which was not fix properly and having holes all side Of it then talk with the owner Kevin Marks he visited in March after that of course it was lock down but from august middle they started their office then mostly everyday my husband call the office but always on answer machine with our luck if someone picked up the call .... same response Kevin is not in office call back when he is in officeI don’t know how to deal with such a un professional ....Please any one guide me how to fix my problem

It was a difficult time with our product getting dropped off and then Covid hit. A1 was great getting things rescheduled and completed as soon as possible. The floors look great!

I recently had A1 Flooring replace my bathroom floors. A1 Flooring went above and beyond the call of duty. The flooring that I wanted was discontinued. They searched around, made several phone calls and found a distributor that had enough boxes left on hand to do my two bathrooms. The craftsmanship of their work is superior! Their precision cuts and thorough cleaning afterwards left me with a flawless and beautiful flooring. I was so happy with the work in the bathrooms, that I had them replace my upstairs carpet. Once again I was very satisfied with the end results. I would highly recommend A1 flooring to family, friends, and anyone who is looking to have their flooring replaced. I compared their prices to three other local companies and A1 Flooring always had the better prices. Hopefully in the next year Ill have them come back to replace all of my downstairs flooring.

We hired A1 to complete a project of hard wood flooring installation on our second floor. The instillation and the wood itself were good, but there is so much more to the process that we want potential clients to know and why we were ultimately very unhappy:A1 is fair and has competitive prices in comparison to national companies. We wanted to support a local business so we went with A1. However, we were still trying to navigate the costs of the project when we received the estimate from, Kevin, the salesman. I believe he was trying to be accommodating with the financial aspect, but he said we needed to secure the price by paying a deposit that same day. We came to an agreement he would wait to cash the deposit for a week to assist with our financial plan and discard the check if we decided to go in another direction. Unfortunately, he quoted us on a Saturday and the cash was checked by Monday morning. We were very upset but decided to stay with A1 after Kevin apologized profusely and took responsibility, as well as giving us a few hundred dollar discount off a several thousands dollar project.The hardwood was delivered on a Saturday. When the crew finished delivering all the wood (it was A LOT) they checked to see if there was plywood underneath the carpet. There wasnt, and they said theyd need to lay down plywood before laying the hardwood. Kevin said it would cost an additional several thousands of dollars but he wouldnt charge us labor, etc. In the end, we wouldve had to get plywood laid down regardless who we chose to do the job so we understood this, but it was just an added expense that hit us out of nowhere. We wish Kevin checked first, just like his employees asked if someone at A1 had checked [before the project].To A1s benefit, Kevin stated if we decided to end the project, then they would remove all the wood that was delivered at no cost to us. Although, this put us in an awkward position since we had a ton of wood sitting in our house. Cautiously, we decided to move forward with A1.The condition the left the house was unacceptable. We expected some dust and debris left. However, we didnt expect our furniture, floors, and walls to be completely filthy. It took us 2 weekends to fully clean up after them. We are essential healthcare workers and we really value our weekends, especially during a pandemic.They completely ruined our couch and foosball table. The crew minimized the damage of the couch and said we could still use the couch. We thought it was unprofessional that they let us know that whatever compensation we request, it comes out of their paycheck. We felt bad, so we said only $100. We found out later the couch was not salvageable and would need to be replaced. They didnt tell us about the damage with the foosball table. The tables legs fell off as soon as we went to move it to original location. They also left nicks in the newly painted wall, scuff marks all over the stairwell ceiling, and left the leftover flooring in the middle of the hallway. During the final walk through, they quickly tried to remove the beer cans in sight that they obviously had been drinking.We reached out to Kevin and let him know we were very disappointed and upset about the damage. Long story short, he apologized but never really took accountability for the carelessness of the crew. We went back and forth about a fair compensation (which is significantly less than the value of the items and the labor it took us to clean up the mess the crew left).In the end, we wouldnt recommend A1 to anyone. We were completely disappointed the way our house was left. Im not sure if Kevin is the owner or what (I asked to negotiate final compensation for damages done with a supervisor, or somebody else, but this was completely dismissed and never acknowledged by Kevin). I think the company as a whole lacks integrity and customer service. When it comes to damages done, the crew was pretty deceitful and there are plenty of companies that can do installation but actually with professionalism.

Another exceptional experience with A1 Floors. Kevin was quick to respond when I reached out and flexible in setting up our initial pricing consultation. Floors went in on a Saturday ao we could move in that Monday, and the crew did a great job! We were very pleased and will continue to use and recommend A1 Floors on all future flooring needs in the area!

Call them to see if they could install subfloor, they said not unless it was part of a bigger job. Then hung up on me before I could even respond. Rude, not how you should treat customers.

If a company being reasonable, reliable, and responsible, the 3 R’s as I call it, are important to you then give A1 Floors a call. This company really worked their butts off to address my very critical eye. I have to say they nailed it.

Not A1 in my book. 0 stars would be a better review. Can’t even install Pergo properly & they won’t correct the terrible installation job. We now have 3 floor heights on one level of the house because they didn’t use underpayment, transitions between floor heights have already popped up & nails are sticking up all over the place. Thresholds into bedrooms were nailed & glued to bedroom carpet but they popped up & we’re tripping on these too. This happened one day after installation & “A1” said they won’t do anything about it. 3 unprofessional goofs came to “inspect” the shoddy work 2 days after installation. They admitted the job was done incorrectly yet offered no assistance to fix it. They tried to get me to sign a contract drawn on notebook paper saying I was satisfied with the job.
