My daughter did virtual learning last school year and I felt that she needed a little more help to be ready for the next grade level. I looked into Sylvan Learning as an option to get her back on track. That was the best decision Ive made for my daughter. The staff at Sylvan are very professional and respectful. They care about your children and their learning. My daughter is more confident in her math work and she is reading at grade level. I cant thank the staff at Sylvan enough for all they have done. Sylvan Learning Center of Raleigh is amazing! My 8 year old daughter joined the Raleigh location in February. She is has become more confident and is making excellent grades. She has improved in reading, writing and comprehension. Sylvan’s staff has done an amazing job encouraging my daughter each time she steps in the building. The staff is quick to answer questions and provide feedback when needed!

We signed my daughter up as supplement to the virtual kindergarten. She has enjoyed going to weekly classes, and comes home enthused and excited about learning! The staff are excellent and keep me informed of her progress. I would recommend to anyone who needs some extra help, or just wants some additional learning.

Our 5 year old has made great strides toward reading and writing despite his kindergarten class being virtual because of his great instructors at Sylvan. He always leaves his session with a smile on his face and excited to share what he learned.

Sylvan is very flexible and is willing to work with us on the subject, the timing of the session, and is very warm and professional. I have to call almost every week to adjust something about my daughters scheduled session, and they are always friendly and helpful.

I enjoy working with all the amazing people at Sylvan! I’m glad I get to come here and better understand homework that I don’t already know, or learn study skills that will help me in the long run. Ms. Marissa and Ms. Angelina are two great people that I enjoy working with. During this challenging time (COVID-19) as we all have had to adapt to working from home, Sylvan has been so supportive in continuing to tutor through ZOOM. Everyone at Sylvan is amazing. Mr. Austin is a fantastic teacher and is helping my son stay on top of math while doing online school. ZOOM has been going very well and my son feels its just as helpful as being there in person. Were so thankful to have Sylvans support!

I think that Sylvan can be helpful when you are struggling with a subject or need help with homework. The teachers always have an answer and will always get you back on track. The nice thing about Sylvan is that; no one is going to judge for being here because everyone is on the same field. In my personal experience, I really enjoyed working with the teachers and having the option to work on homework, subjects, and efficiently balancing those things out, being able to do both.

Sylvan of Raleigh is great! The staff worked with my student through out the summer and his senior year and he recently graduated C/O 2019 and was accepted into an apprenticeship to become an electrician! OMG! I love, love, love this place...or shall I say the staff and their ability to make my daughter feel good about coming to Sylvan. My daughter was apprehensive at first, not feeling confident about her talents and facing her challenges head on. The Sylvan staff has been awesome with helping my daughter feel more confident in her abilities. They took the time to get to know my daughter, build up her confidence to speak up and ask for help when needed. And not just that, they helped identify study habits that work best for her. They have been a blessing to us in terms of communicating with my daughters teachers, accompanying me (a single parent) to parent teacher conferences...being our advocate with sharing how my daughter learns best. This is the place to bring your child if they are struggling in school. I wish I had found them years ago...better late than never I say. My daughter is a different person because of it. Sylvan has extremely helped me with all of the essential subjects for the SAT. First, I took the Advanced Reading class which tremendously boosted my reading speed and effectiveness. I also took the SAT prep class which helped me in both reading and math. It made me more proficient in subjects that would be on the test that I was either unfamiliar with or not very good at. All in all, my experience at Sylvan was great and I would recommend Sylvan to anybody preparing for the SAT.

My twelve year old son was not a strong reader or writer. We tried other tutors and programs that did not do much to help and he pushed back on going to these. Sylvan, on the other hand, has been a godsend. He enjoys going and we are seeing huge improvements in his self-esteem and abilities. The Raleigh Center has been good to our daughter. She is always excited to use the computer to do some of her lessons. She has been feeling more confident in her reading abilities since she started at Sylvan.

I have been so impressed with how well the tutors at Sylvan on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh have worked with my grandson! Everyone has been so patient and encouraging with him. Excellent resource for improving SAT/ACT scores. It was the expectation to improve score minimally, but Sylvan helped to exceed that goal by almost 200 points! Years ago Sylvan of Raleigh helped me overcome learning obstacles while attending school and when my 3rd grade daughter began experiencing similar issues I knew there was no other place to go. My daughter has been going for two months, two days a week. We recently received her school benchmark assessment test (Case 21) results and saw great improvement. Confidence in her work has improved as well. Maybe most importantly my daughter looks forward to going to tutoring. They have an excellent reward system that keeps her focused and motivated while making it fun and positive. I am now preparing to enroll my son this summer to continue phonics and reading skills to give him a jump into 1st grade. The staff is extremely conscientious of your needs and very flexible with the schedule. I find Sylvan of Raleigh to be a great investment in my children’s education success- well worth every penny.

We have been really happy with our Sylvan experience. Quiniqua and Julie and all of the tutors weve worked with so far have been very supportive and very invested in our sons success. He has come so far since last summer. His teacher has noticed a definite improvement in his reading and writing skills, which is what we are focusing on at Sylvan. The SAT program at Sylvan helped me out sooo much words couldn’t even fathom how grateful I am to them. I started the program at the beginning of august (taking the SAT August 26) meaning I would only have around 3 weeks for the program. I originally started out with an 1130 with my reading being a 520. While working with the teachers, I started to get a little discouraged because it seemed my efforts always failed but they never gave up on me. They never stopped pushing me until I reached my full potential. The online Sylvan prep is what really improved my score. The site has 4 practice tests divided in all 4 sections (math, math calculator inactive, reading, and writing) and tells you your score for that certain section, the stems of the question, and the best part.. It has a video for each question and goes into depth why that answer is/isn’t the correct answer!! It takes you step by step how to solve the question and what type of mindset one should have to get the correct answer. Finally, after taking it I GOT A 1320! I couldn’t even believe my score. I am just so grateful to the sylvan program and my tutors. I recommend it to every high schooler struggling to get a good score on the SAT and/or ACT this is the solution!!

I am a student at sylvan. Before I started there my math grade was a low C and now I have a high A which is highest in my class. It meets all of my standards and is very flexible with my personal schedule. I havent run into any problems and all of the employees are so nice and are ready to help me whenever I need it!

This past year, I attended Sylvan to help increase my SAT score. Not only have they helped me go from a 1210 to a 1320, they are also very nurturing and encouraging. The environment helped foster and amazing learning experience that I felt contributed to my SAT score increase as well.

With my daughter being 13 yrs old and not really wanting to go to a traditional summer camp we decided to try something different. Well we wanted her to have fun but also learn. The manager, Quiniqua was so wonderful with getting us in at the last minute for the Robotics camp. She offered great customer service and greeted us with a welcoming smile every morning. The teacher was great and she learned a lot and still had fun. The center was clean and the staff was pleasant. My daughter said she would like to go back next year!!

Sylvan Learning Center has been a fantastic resource for our 2nd Grade son. He goes to work on reading and reading comprehension and hes scoring top-level marks in many 2nd Grade requirements and achieving some 3rd grade curriculum goals as well. The staff is friendly and helpful and their system pushes the children to work hard.

Sylvan has been an excellent resource for my family for over 15 years. All three of our older children have struggled through grade school as well as jr. high and high school Along with our current 10 year old child today. Sylvan has demonstrated to our family that it does work when utilizing the aid of their instructors, helping my kids with their struggles through school in all subjects. We now have a UNC Chapel Hill Grad, an NC State Grad, and soon to be Skidmore College Grad! As well as our two younger daughters that we look forward to seeing them through higher education. With this type of track record, we will always consider Sylvan as a great resource for our family.

Ive used Sylvan since my junior year in high school, and continue to get help with homework and tests from Sarah in my freshman year of college. This place has its act together. They are on top of taking your childs progress seriously and doing what it takes to help them and their individual needs. Sara is an outstanding Director and is very responsive when any questions or issues come up. The customer service is excellent, which I truly appreciate. As a parent, you have enough to worry about, the last thing you need is inflexibility. For instance, we have had to reschedule a few times and it was always handled appropriately, considerately and with nothing but a gracious attitude. Sylvan Raleigh is high quality and worth the money.

Sylvan was my light at the end of the tunnel. I had a really bad year in 8th grade and I tried everything to learn and study. Then my mom showed me this program called Sylvan and how it was a tutoring program. It provides an outstanding and non-distracting learning environment. My GPA has gone from a 3.5 to a 4 in just a couple sessions. Their study skills program is amazing, I learned the difference between questions on test and I learned tons of ways to study even the hardest of notes. Also the staff there is amazing, they really care about my learning progress and they will surely care about your sons or daughters learning too. I love sylvan and you will too!!!!!!!
