BEWARE...Extremely Disappointed. I asked specifically if they had non-smoking SUVs. I was told that ALL of their vehicle rentals were non-smoking. WRONG.We picked up the rental and within a few minutes noticed a peculiar smell...opened the windows to air it out and then closed up and put the a/c on. It REEKED of smoke. We spent 21 hours in a vehicle with the stench of cigarette or vape smoke. It permeated everything we traveled with including our clothing & suit cases.We wouldnt have rented this car even if THEY paid US the $444.56.Why didnt we simply return the vehicle for another you ask? We were told it was the only SUV available (now we know why) AND, we were on a time constraint.When we returned the vehicle, we asked to speak with the manager and the employee said he was not there today. We asked him to speak about our experience with the manager and to get back with us. And he said he would. That was over one week ago. No communication whatsoever.This was the most disgusting experience we have ever had with a car rental.

Had to have some work done on my auto, went to capital auto rentals to obtain a rental beside the regular documents common sense say that u should have ...drivers license, Insurence. ECT... They wanted a utility bill . now I have no problem with that except they wanted one with no pass due balance.I took my current light bill up there and the said I had a pass due balance on it. That was the first bill I received in 3 months and it was 600.00 something July and Aug were paid Sep wasnt due until the 24th of this month.I called the light company which they verified no pass due.he said they go by what on the bill thanks Brother !!!

I needed quick transportation and the folks at Capital Auto Rentals took excellent care of me. Got me on the road in short order.

We’ve rented from this place dozens of times. Even for extended periods. We were denied rental because of a bill with pass due balance, that was received at another establishment only minutes later. The current amount due was zero. They seem to be very friendly to certain customers and quite dry and uninterested in others. We will not be using or recommending them anymore.

Great cars, great service! When my car became unreliable, we needed a vehicle to get us to Richmond for a sports tournament weekend. Capital Auto Rentals had exactly what we needed, when we needed it, at a great price. They were so friendly and easy to work with! Josephine even called my insurance company for me to verify that I have the right insurance and didnt need to buy costly extra rental insurance. The pick up and return were quick and easy, too. Mike at the counter was super friendly. And we were so much more comfortable in a larger vehicle with plenty of room for our luggage and ice chest. I will be sure to use them for all my rental needs from now on.

Too much needed to rent cheap cars 👎🏿

Called to get a reservation and within 10 minutes of being on the phone with the guy I had to hang up due to his unprofessionalism and rude demeanor. If you treat a customer with professionalism and respect hell tell 50 people if you treat him rudely and are unprofessional hell tell 100 more people.
