Jay came out and gave me an estimate. He was on time and very very friendly. He was very knowledgeable and was able to suggest some ideas to save me money. We had a nice conversation and he was able to email my estimate so I could think on it. He didnt pressure me in anyway. Also, and this may sound wierd, but he didnt smell like smoke. We are having some other work done a d have had a couple contractors out and they all smell like smoke or smoke while they are here. We arent smokers so thats not fun for us. So we appreciate it about Jay. Jay wore a mask the entire time he was here regardless of being inside or outside of the house. Id hire Jay anytime.

My water bill was outrageous! The bill went from $73 to $645. Hey Captain Obvious…do you think there’s a leak? Yes! So I was a fish out of water ( pun ). I knew I needed a plumber but who can you trust?? Out of the gate I called a plumber and I waited two days & no return phone call. Ugh! So I had to keep looking. I noticed the name MICHAEL & SONS. I called and immediately someone answered & everything was looking up. They created an apt for me & JUAN was on his way to save the day! He inspected & tested and found the leak. JUAN was kind & very knowledgeable. If I ever need further repairs I’m definitely calling JUAN at MICHAEL & SONS! He’s AWESOME!!

I had a leak from the ceiling in my downstairs bathroom. I attempted to get help for two days from another company with no luck. My father referred me to Michael & Son Services. I called them and got an appointment the next day. Our technician Paris was awesome. He was on time and his work was efficient and he repaired our leak quicker than expected. After I called to report my issue, the tech was able to make it out in just a couple hours to investigate the issue. The techs were very professional and polite. They let me know the issue and listed multiple routes to fix it. I look forward to them coming out and fixing the problem when the part comes in.

All I can attest to is pricing. They came out to give us a quote for moving our hot water heater to our crawl space. They were able to come out quickly, the tech was on time and very polite. They charge $69 for a quote when all the other companies did it for free. Their price was $8500!! We got another quote from another company for the exact same unit for $4800! Definitely shop around and consider getting more than just their quote.

My system shut down. I had no water. The tech from M&S comes the first day and assesses the issue, decided it was a part that needed repair and ordered the parts to do so, scheduling me for 10:30 the next day.The next day comes, and I hear nothing from them until about 1:30, when I’m told the guy is on his way and will be there within 30 mins, which he was.He then did the “repair”, but nothing changed. Still no water to the system, but water spraying out of the part he just rebuilt.We start going thru the house to figure out what might be wrong, and then all the sudden, he just leaves. I thought he was getting something from his truck, but he got in his truck and left.And I still had no running water in my house.I was dumbfounded. I’ve used these guys before and been overcharged for minor work, but never anything this insane.I’ll never be calling them again.

Be very aware that they will charge for coming out and will charge 5 times what anyone else will. This is not reflective of the people who work for them, just the company. They will also hang up on you if you don’t agree that a light switch is at a $300 value (you can purchase your own for $20) or if you believe $900 is not appropriate for having three light switches replaced with supplies you already purchased. That’s a discounted rate by the way. I paid $69 for them to give me a quote which a handful of other electricians would do for absolutely free. Good luck.

The crew at Michael & Son are both professional and knowledgeable. I initially reached out to them for some toilet repairs, and after the great work and service provided that day I signed up for their maintenance package. After signing up, they come out to do initial inspections across all utilities and propose any work that could be done. One thing I really enjoy about their service is how they propose the work through their 3 tier method (good/better/best). This really breaks it down in terms of essential work that needs to be done and anything that is above and beyond. I Used Michael & Son To install my attic fan. My Service Technician was Vince. Vince came prepared with booties and mask before entering my home. He was cordial, listened to the explanation of the work he had to perform. Vince was kind enough to over the parameters to properly set the thermostat for the attic crawl space to get the best coverage and use of the fan. Vince was professional courteous, knowledgeable. I will definitely request for him again when electrical service is needed.

My Electrician, Jasper, from Michael and Son, arrived on time and was professional and courteous, as well as using proper COVID precautions. His skill level at removing and replacing my old and dangerous electrical panel was above and beyond my expectations. The minute he started to work on it, I knew I was in good hands. He checked and double checked to make sure the work was perfect, and made sure before he left that everything was safe and in perfect working order.He treated me, my home, and even my pets with the utmost respect. He also installed 2 light fixtures while he was here, both done with speed and accuracy. Technician arrived masked at front door. Showed him the AC unit’s location outside. Shortly after, technician needed access to the indoor thermostat to modify settings for testing. Little while later, testing/maintenance was complete and the technician arrived at the front door to explain everything looked good. We were also informed our maintenance plan needed to be renewed. We gladly obliged.

Michael Galvin was very professional, and quickly replaced my hot water heater. During installation of the new hot water heater, Mike found an almost unnoticeable leak in the bathtub above the heater which likely caused the damage to the original. This probably saved me from ruining the newly installed hot water heater.He also replaced my main water shutoff and installed a new gas shut off to the heater which was missing, so I can now easily turn off the gas to the hot water heater if needed. I have already scheduled Michael and Son to come back out and fix the bathtub leak. Saved a good bit of money with their coupons, too.Great company. Would 100% recommend them, and will use them for future services.

Joshua Lucas did a wonderful job! I need new piping and shutoff valves installed in an old guest bath. He was so great about explaining all of the options. Because the house is so old, he needed some specialized parts which he needed to pick up. He didnt charge extra for this time. He just picked up the parts and fixed the piping perfectly. My hot water heater stopped heating the water last night. I used Michael & Sons website around 9p to upload a video and pictures of my hot water heater so the technician, very user friendly. I was surprised they had an appointment first thing the next morning. Josh did an outstanding job diagnosing my problem and had my hot water heater working within an hour at a reasonable price. He was professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again for future needs.

Edwin was prompt, polite, and extremely detailed in diagnosing and explaining the cause of our plumbing problems and repairs needed. He repaired the problem and recommended additional services that M&S provides. He didn’t sound like a salesman or that he had rehearsed an additional sales pitch speech. He just talked to me in layman’s terms. I have seen M&S commercials in the past and they are great, but to experience actual quality service warrants a 5 star review.

On day of appointment, technicians have been knowledgeable and professional. First Google review EVER if that tells you anything. Couldnt get water heater to work for almost three days despite a plumber and my own research/tinkering/hair pulling. Needed an electrician ASAP. Called three other companies but they had no same day availability. Michael & Son did! Sent a guy out under the assumption it would be after hours (including the extra fee for that) but he actually came early! So no after hours fee! I was away so the electrician (Jasper) dealt with my wife in person and I was happy to hear he was nothing but nice and personable to her, guiding and teaching her throughout the repair. I spoke with him on the phone while he was on site and I could tell he was a good dude. Unfortunately with electric water heaters you dont know if it all works until you have hot water! So after the repair Jasper left and told my wife to let him know if it worked. After some time we still didnt have hot water. My wife notified him around 8:30pm and he said he was coming back! We were amazed. We were already begrudgingly making plans to contact someone else in the morning and shell out even MORE money to fix this mystery problem. Jasper returned, verified his work, then continued to investigate and solve the issue. A hot shower never felt so good.

When our AC broke down after hours, I was able to connect with someone at Michael & Sons immediately. He was very professional and said someone would show up between 8 and midnight. Our serviceman came a little past 8 pm. He also was professional and courteous. He diagnosed and fixed the issue fairly quickly and we were able to have a cool night’s sleep. Other companies I called weren’t able to come that night or didn’t return my calls until shortly before the Michael & Sons serviceman showed up and didn’t sound very professional.

We have used M&S for several years. We even have a service contract with them. Still good people and work quality however; we were just charged $660.00 to connect a drain and two water lines to a new bathroom sink. I think I am going to have another company after spending about $23,000.00 with them on various projects.

I would highly recommend Michael and Son - HVAC tech Adam Parker. I can’t thank Adam enough for the service he provided, he was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing during the repair. He had my AC unit back up and running within 2 hours after a major malfunction that could have caused a fired in my home. I called in the morning and Adam showed two hours after my call to schedule the appointment. Great service and was extremely friendly! Thanks Adam, I will definitely request you again in the future for any maintenance or repairs that are needed.

This was an extremely disappointing experience. We had a shower faucet cartridge fail in the open position on a Friday just before we were to leave for a week-long family vacation, and Michael & Son was the only company that I could find that was able to provide same-day service. In addition, this happened just as I was about to leave on a short solo trip in the days before our family vacation.Before the technician arrived, I spoke with him on the phone to discuss the specific work that was to be done: specifically, just to do the minimum necessary to fix the broken shower. I then had to leave for the airport to catch a flight. (My wife was at home for the work, but was tied up with Zoom meetings all afternoon.)On the plus side, the technician did replace the shower faucet cartridge, as requested, which allowed my family to go on our vacation as scheduled. For this I am certainly thankful. However, he replaced it using the wrong cartridge, which has altered the action of the faucet and will need to be replaced. In addition, he also replaced the water shutoff valve for the entire house --- which was work that I specifically told him NOT to do --- and in so doing reduced the water pressure for the entire house. This unneeded work will also need to be redone. In addition, the work to replace the whole-house shutoff valve --- which, again, I requested NOT to be done --- was billed at more than twice the amount of the work that I actually did request.Overall, a very frustrating and expensive experience.

Josh was fantastic and took excellent care of my situation. My hot water heater was overflowing in the wee hours of the night and I was able to get it to just a drip. Josh showed up in the morning and did some work draining it and capped it off so there was no more drip for the weekend. He was able to install a water filter on Monday and then replace the hot water heater the following Tuesday after a shipment came in. I was so grateful for the professional, prompt, and kind service I received. Wonderful experience with Michael and Son!

We had Michael & Son come out for same day service to evaluate a gas leak. We somehow missed the first appointment but they were able to send a 2nd appointment team out to help troubleshoot a potential gas leak. Fabian and his fellow team member were great. They walked us through everything and made sure we understood all the details as well as next steps. We ultimately decided on also securing a plan with them for preventative maintenance on our major appliances.

I requested an estimate for a whole new AC. The guy they sent took less than 10 minutes to look around, said he would check inventory, and left. That was July 30th. We called another company and they measured every room, told us they would repair all the duct work, and had an thorough estimate in hand within an hour. If this is how Michael and sons does business, I don’t know how they have any customers. I have now waited 2 weeks for an estimate, with a house that is 80 degrees all day.

Not sure about all the positive reviews, Yelp shows completely different story. To start out I truely believe this company is purely about making money and will cheat and scam you to get it. We have had many bad experiences with this company out of necessity of our warranty with them. We Just had our, under warranty, AC unit serviced by them and the new part is going to take 5-7 business days to get. We live in North Carolina and the heat index will be near 100. This is a very large company with resources. Leaving someone to deal with that is unacceptable. I guess overnight delivery is to expensive for them.And to Michael and sons, please do not post the stock response to look like you care. We already talked with someone who basically told use we had no choice but to wait. She was, however, nice enough to tell us they could have ordered it overnight but they didnt. So DO NOT post a stock response (lets see if they even ready this).

Our AC stopped working tripping a breaker on one of the hottest days of the year. We called Michael and Son Heating and Air Conditioning and a technician was dispatched in a timely manner. Upon arrival the technician very quickly diagnosed the problem and had it back cooling in record time. He was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and respectful while taking his time explaining the issue and the resolution.I highly recommend this company.

Albeit more than I’d prefer to spend, the service was well worth it. They fit me into an earlier schedule then the I one booked. The technician Yolan was clear in communication, knowledgeable and professional. Everything now works as it should.

The technician did an assessment and said my issues were the thermocouple and overflow tank. He replaced the thermocouple but pilot would not stay lit so he said would be the control panel for $1100 and I would have to wait until Monday as he did not have one. He never bothered to check the exhaust vent, which I checked after he left and found had been sealed by our exterior painters and not unsealed when they were done. After the painters removed the seal, I was able to light it myself

Mike arrived on time and was quick in diagnosing the location of our leak. His plan for repair was well thought out and well executed. Prices were a little more than average, however, the quick response and timely repair will lead us to call again. Thank you!!!

Jasper came to our home because the electrical line that ran from our circuit breaker to our septic pump corroded and stopped working. He fixed the issue for us promptly and professionally while being a true pleasure to work with. He is back today to lay the conduit line, and again is professional, friendly and has a great overall attitude. Very happy with our decision to call Michael and Sons, but more so because we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jasper.

Set up appointment and the dispatch lady said she couldn’t give us a quote but couldnt imagine the job would be near $500 (installing a ceiling fan). Of course they charge around $70 just to come out so basically they made an easy $70 because the electrician said the job would be $900. I’ve called and other places will do it for $200-300 so learn from us and shop around more before contacting this company.

Got an HVAC tune-up for $49 (they were having a promotion). Michael (the service technician) was prompt, courteous, and kind. He answered my dozens of questions, and as a female and first-time home buyer I felt like my time, opinions, and questions were valued and respected, which has not been my experience with other repairmen. After the tune-up, he showed me some options for things that could enhance my HVAC but gave me his honest opinion about whether I really needed them or not and did not try to push and products or services on me. I did end up buying the home servicing package which I had thought about before and thought was a great value. I truly valued his service and time in my home, and will be asking for him for my next tune-up and any future servicing. Thank you for an above and beyond experience!

Technician showed up a full 4 hours sooner than the earliest time I was promised! I had called a half dozen plumbers and no one could get to me until next week. Michael and Sons fit me in the day I called. And they got the job done.

Ive worked with Michael & Son in the past, but will no longer be using them after my most recent experience. I contacted Michael & Son a few weeks ago to look at a duct issue with a new bathroom exhaust fan. The time frame for the appointment was between 12 PM and 2 PM. When I hadnt heard from them at 2:30 PM, I contacted the company, and after getting the run around for about 15 minutes, someone was finally able to tell me the technician was still at another job (shout out to JaQuinta, she was great). The technician finally called at 4:30 PM asking if I was still available; when I told him yes and that I had been waiting for a while, his response was My schedule is my schedule, I get it when I get it. No apology or anything. The technician finally arrived around 5:15 PM, and claimed that I needed roof work done before they could fix the duct for the exhaust fan. I got another company to take a look and they were able to resolve the issue quickly and for much less than what Michael & Son was going to charge (the roof was fine). I would not recommend Michael & Son, and as I stated at the beginning of this review, I will not be working with them again.

The technician, Thomas Coyle, called ahead and arrived on time. He thoroughly cleaned the heat pump and installed a new UV lamp and pan pad. He took the time to insure that all aspects of the maintenance were performed correctly. Because of my scientific interest, he willingly described the measurements he was taking. Michael + Son sent out a picture of the technician by text, so there were no surprises when he arrived.

Joseph was awesome! I called around 10/11 in the morning and he was here in just a few hours.Our AC has been working on and off for the past week before it stopped working all together. I hate heat, so the fact that Joseph (our repair specialist) came within just a few hours of calling AND diagnosed and fixed the issue was amazing. He was professional, explained everything well and gave us options. We will absolutely be calling Michael and Sons (specifically Joseph) with any issues we need solved in the future.

Service man Yovan was very pleasant and professional. Immediately knew what was causing garbage disposal not to operate properly. If it all possible, for future service, I would request his services again.

Fabian did an AMAZING job! He called to say he was early. Assessed the 2 jobs we had for him. He was able to get the parts needed same day. Knew what he was doing. Gave us some preventative suggestions to avoid future repairs. I will definitely use them again!!!!!

Priced too high I feel taken advantage of. I don’t see how you can charge $400 an hour and use very little parts and the diagnostic part took every bit of five minutes when the technician said no we got to replace the whole shower fixture. The technician, Brayan, was courteous and did a good job. I will give him 4.5 stars. The other part was the hole cut in the drywall I’m not quite sure what the method was there but other plumbers have provided the plates to go over that. The technician told me you had 11 x 11 plate in the van so my question is why did he cut an 8 x 13 hole when there was a opportunity to cut an 11 x 11. Now that’s an additional cost me to repair the drywall of figure something out for the plate. I do appreciate Michael and sons quick response and coming out to help me but I just feel taken advantage of.

The main thing that Rodrigo did was to disassemble and to replace non-functioning parts of a ceiling fan, including burnt-out bulbs and a new base.He put a lot of effort into this, more than I expected. He also looked at another problem I had, though it wasnt on his list.

Biggest scam artists in the triangle. They charge an insane amount for simple things to be done. Really a shame for the uneducated consumer because they are being taken advantage of. As someone in the construction business I can honestly state that this company is price gauging their customers. It seems they likely make the majority of their money on their “service visit fee” because I can’t see how many customers would actually use them upon arrival with the ridiculous quotes they give. I’m sure they do great work but they are price gauging ten fold. Consumer beware.
