Just found this place after my normal barber went on vacation for a while. Today was my second visit with Jon and I am highly impressed. He remembered me immediately when I walked in, even with a mask on. My first visit I was impressed with his attention to detail and thoroughness, but thought maybe that was just because I was new. After my second visit I found out that its obvious he is just very detail oriented. Im not a picky customer anywhere really, but when Im impressed, I think its important to say so... and Im impressed by this place! Convenient location and great service, I found my new barber shop!

Joy gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Great fading. Great style and she is very gentle. I will always come back just for her.Plus she her personality could brighten anyone’s day.

I have been getting my haircut here for just about two years now. The first time I went I got my haircut by Jon and it was perfect! I am in the military and it can be a challenge to find a good barber that knows how to do a proper military cut thankfully, Jon has experience cutting military hair because he worked in Quantico, VA cutting Marine hair for a very long time. I have been going to Jon to get my haircut ever since then. Jon is a very nice person and very professional. He goes beyond just the normal haircut by using a straight razor around the neck and a warm towel to pick up any leftover trimmings. Jon gives one of the best haircuts I have had since I have been getting haircuts. He also knows how to trim the top of hair with scissors. I like to keep the top of my hair pretty long (longer then allowed) and Jon does a really good job of keeping it trimmed and neat while maintaining the length I like without it looking like it is super long. I have also seen Jon give haircuts that aren’t military fades and they are always perfect. A friend of mine gets his haircut from Carol and he is always happy with how she cuts it. He gets his haircut from her every time he goes in. Overall, I do not plan on getting my haircut anywhere else as long as I am in the Raleigh area. By far the best cut I have received in the triangle!

I’ve been going to John exclusively for 10+ years. He always gives me a great haircut. I would rather support a local businessman like John versus Great Clips. My kids have used the other barbers, with no issues. John is prompt and consistent.

This is a great place to have a men haircut done, their price is not high ~$18 and they did a great and quick job at my medium complexity haircut for several times now. Definitely recommend as a local neighborhood barber shop.

Been going to Parks since high school, and they always do a great job. John is probably my favorite, though I havent had a bad experience yet with any of the other folks there. Did a great job covering up the hatchet job I did on my hair during the lockdown.Also, theyre taking COVID super seriously. Temperature checks, barber was wearing a visor, and folks not getting a haircut either waited outside or were otherwise social distancing. 10/10, gonna be bummed to lose this place if I ever move away from Raleigh.

Wisemen formerly Parks Barber shop @ 9101 Leesville rd IMO by far does the best men’s hair shape-ups cutting & fades. I have Vee as my personal favorite Jon the Head Hi Chief does a great job as well if Vee is off. LAST TIME I WILL GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!First of all John and Kim are GREAT!!!However, the dark haired lady has cut my hair the last 4 times and she did a TERRIBLE job.I mean how do you mess up a simple mens buzz cut???She rushes through the haircut. Its uneven everywhere.She doesnt ask how long you want your side burns. She just takes them all the way up past your ear.She doesnt ask if you want the back rounded or square. She does whatever she wants.My side burns once again are uneven.She blamed my 4yr old son for being ticklish for his bad hair cut..Are you ready for the best part????One time she stopped in the middle of my hair cut to scroll through photos on another customers phone. This lasted for at least 5 minutes before John told her that was enough.On top of all of that she is RUDE!!!You tip her and say thank you and she doesnt even say your welcome. And thats after a TERRIBLE hair cut.John - I used to love coming here. Now I will be searching for a new Barber. Im sorry, you and Kim are great. But the other dark haired lady is too much for me. After 4 bad experiences my patience has ran out.The only way me or my family members will be back is if we can schedule an appointment with either your or Kim.Sorry Buddy.

I literally left this place and went to great clips next door to get my hair fixed. It is pretty bad when great clips does a better job. The fact that they never let you face the mirror should tell you something!

This is a great place for a man to get a real haircut. They even shave your neck & then finish it off with a hot towel and neck rub. Awesome. 👍

Ive been going to this location for a couple months now. While the location is small and a little outdated, they do absolutely fabulous work with fantastic prices. So happy to have found a neighborhood barber.

Every time Ive been, theyve been friendly, quick, and yet take their time and do it right. The hot lather neck shave with a straight razor is outstanding, and some of them even do hot towel massages following the hair cut.I dont go anywhere else any more.

My 17 yr old always is treated well and gets the style he either describes or goes with a photo of. Reasonable prices and good customer service.

I have struggled for many with places like SportsClips and other chain places. After a REALLY bad hair cut at a very important time, I found John. John is amazing, I dont have to tell him what size guards to use or how to cut my hair. I give basic information and he gives me a perfect hair cut every time!

Think great clips. Dont expect the friendliest service, this is a job for them and they get the job done. Its to make your hair shorter. $14.50 for a cut. I probably wont return.

Shirley is the only person that I trust to cut my sons hair! She does such a great job keeping him calm and always does a great job on his hair! We will continue to use her for his cuts in the future!

One of my friends introduced me to this barber shop and was telling me how well they did. I had gone there numerous times and always left with what Ive wanted. But the last 3 times, I havent been pleased with the outcome. The last visit did it for me. I asked for a fade starting with a 1 guard blended to a 3 and half an inch off the top. Started looking great, then I asked for a hard part and (Kim I believe was her name) she had no idea what it was but acted as though she did. Shirley tried to fix the screw up, but the line had already been made too wide. For a basic cut its a good place, but for a cut barbers specialize in, not the greatest.

I went there for the first time this weekend. Martin gave me a great haircut. I also liked the fact that they give a neck shave, well done. Will be going back.

I got my hair cut today and was very pleased with the results. The owner John is an excellent business man who wants to see his customers happy. Although he may not have a lot of training with afro textured hair, he has employed a staff that makes up for what he lacks in experience. So sorry I went there! The scissors and clippers were both snagging my hair because they needed sharpening. The woman cutting my hair said it was cause of a cowlick. I have fine, blond/silver. Never a cowlick in my life and thats no excuse for dull clipper.I was afraid she was going to saw my ear off with that comb, Im sure it was red and irritated (no pun intended).It looked as if she had placed a bowl to trim the sides and I had to ask her to taper it a little more. All-in-all a waste of $14, thank goodness google maps has this place mislocated and sends people to the clip joint at the main road.

Went in for a beard trim and shaping based of some of the reviews. While the price was good at 6.50$ I would not pay it again for what I got. To start in I came in with .5 inch thick beard over my whole face with a 4 inch long goatee. I asked to have the berd shapped to follow along the jaw line, but I wanted to have the goatee left long. What I got was the .5 beard cut down to a biz around the whole face but to goatee, the beard line was shaped under my jaw line. She also left a line around my mouth connecting my mustache to my goatee but only on one side. I will not be going back

Worst barber shop n Raleigh the owner is unstable he cant keep barbers he throws them out for no reason I know this because one of the best barbers worked for him and is still cutting my hair just not there one thing you can count on if you go there you will never see the same barber for more than a few months I like to know who is cutting my hair and I do not like the way Mr. Parks cuts it he only knows 2 cuts short and shorter he cuts it his way not your way other than that it is clean but a lot of drama he also talks about his employees behind there backs to other employees which causes the friction and drama

I always have the same lady cut my hair and she knows what to do and everyone there loves and knows me. Its the best barber shop you can get, I go there all the time and its fast and enjoyable

If you go here, have the owner cut your hair. I have been here a few times and have been quite pleased with the experience and price. Today I had some new woman use clippers on my entire head, just buzzed the entire thing. I have clippers at home and could have done this. I did not ask for a military cut and thats exactly what she gave me. Completely uneven and the woman didnt even use scissors to blend it properly. A complete slop job! To make it worse, I am flying out for a pretty important job interview on Monday so I had to have my gf fix the uneven chop job as soon as we got home.

Ive typically received consistently good cuts from John. However, the other people that work there have not been reliable. There seemed to be a high turnover rate for a while and the only other person I trusted to cut my hair is no longer there. I refuse to let the woman that currently works there cut my hair after she butchered it bad enough for me to find someone else to cut it a few days later. If I wanted a bowl cut I wouldve done it myself.

Got a female barber to cut my hair. She had the seat turned away from the mirror so that I could not see myself. When I asked, she turned the seat but after a few seconds turned it right around. This happened twice and I finally gave up. This must have been deliberate because surprise, surprise...she did not follow the simple instructions I gave her. For example, I asked for a slight trim on the sides and back, just to even out the length of the hair. When she was done, my hair there went from half an inch long to about 3 millimeters! The work was so amateurish she must have finished a one-week course the day before and I must have been her first customer.

The haircut was rushed and they fail to pay attention to detail. Im leaving with my neck bleeding and they still charged me full price. Aweful first impression

Worst hair cut I have ever gotten. Do not allow the Asian male barber any where near your head. This guy says he has been cutting hair for over 20 years, so that means he has given 20 years of bad hair cuts. Will never go back to this place.
