Setting up at appointment online was super easy and straightforward. Checking in was so easy. I was checked in by Richie and Chad. They were hilarious. They made my experience at Pep boys great! I went in for an oil change and everything went smooth. Chad did my inspection and reviewed the results to me with professionalism. My car was worked on and completed in less time than I thought. I would definitely go back and recommend Pep Boys in South Hill to others.

Brought my van in Saturday after it died on me. Richie took care of me. He was simply amazing and made sure my van is now 100% safe and good to go. Every concern or worry I had he helped make sure was taken care of.He also ensured that there was no extra charges or anything. I will always go to Pepboys and recommend them to friends and family.

I wanted to acknowledge the workers here at Pep Boys, especially Richie and Paul. They are life savers. I was in desperate need of getting my wheel bearing pressed to get my car back working in order to get my daughter to an appointment the following day. By the time I got there the guy was gone for the day. Instead of telling me it was too late they took the part and told me to come back the next day when they opened and it would be ready for me! I was there right when they opened and sure enough they had it sitting there waiting for me. I am truly grateful for these guys and would recommend anyone needing help with their cars to go see them. Amazing customer service. Everyone was so nice and really funny, especially mr. richard. My brake lights were out and i didn’t know what to do so i went in to ask. Came in to get my headlights changed because they were out. They instantly took me in no problem and helped me out during what looks like a busy Sunday for them with their schedule. Made an online appt. I was on time but they were not. Stood in line for an extra 20 mins. While my car was being service I was approached with an offer that will decrease my service by another $20 if I would fill out a credit application. I was hesitant and informed the employee of my hesitation as this would be a hard inquiry on my credit report. He assured me that no in fact it was going to be a soft inquiry on my credit report which wouldnt even show. Sure enough approximately 30 minutes later after being denied the credit card my phone was blowing up with all my apps telling me that there was a hard inquiry on my credit report. If you value your credit please do not fall for this line. Another thing I found odd in this store was that their shells were bare. I never seen this before in an auto store. I doubt Ill be returning to this store in the future

Walking in to pep boys in puyallup location was great, the customer service from Richie and Chad was phenomenal and hilarious.I’d definitely come back here in this location again for car service.

Ive been shopping here for 20+ years and its always had what we needed for the best price and helpful staff. This last time in though they were out of many things, lots of empty shelves. Might be do to effects of covid-19 I guess. Staff was still very helpful.

Absolutely wonderful service! I hit something in the road that gave me a big hole in my tire, and a bent rim. They were so quick and polite, they were able to get me a new tire for almost no cost and back on the road in less than an hour. I was so grateful To get it taken care of so quickly and inexpensively just before Easter!!! 😊

No longer pep boys . I have been going here for some time even with at least six other part stores along the way and its five miles from my house..But no more because they have been sold since last year yet they have yet to change the signs out side. Thats so missleading. I do not like the choice for quality of parts and accessories they offer. To much $$$$ for parts and accessories . And many of them dont even have prices listed 🤔😡 . No cross reference guides on the floor for things such as oil filters or light bulbs and the service sucks. I will no longer be going to this part store and I think they still need to change their signs so people know where they are actually going

Got a smoking deal on new tires for my 2010 HONDA CRV. I love Pep Boys. Theyve always had the most helpful guys and great solutions. I bought a vehicle where the license plate screw had been cross threaded and they had to pull the whole thing out with vice grips. They had me run to Home Depot and get a butterfly screw (drywall screw with anchor) and we used that to secure my plate! Other locations have saved me from buying unneeded brakes, and other car issues. Always recommend Pep Boys but now I can personally recommend this location too!

I Always leave happy! Just had my brakes and rotors changed on both axels plus a new serpentine belt, can’t beat the prices and the great staff. Needless to say I’ll be back when my next regular maintenance is due!

4 stars, because a simple 1hr new set of tires, took 2hr and 17 minutes, and if your waiting that long, the seating area needs help.

The customer service was very good but I did feel as though they don’t inform you on how much you are paying before they take your keys. At first I was given a price quote and it was 20 dollars more which I was not informed about. He had given me a price quote for the conventional oil instead of the one they had used for higher mileage cars. Also they never reset the oil life so I was confused to see my car still at 20% after the service. Also they do not complete things in a timely manner regardless if you have an appointment. It took 2 hours to complete an oil change. Mind you they charge for the oil and the service so I feel that they elongated the process. If you are looking for fast service I DO NOT recommend this location what so ever. I am pregnant and am unable to complete the oil change by myself currently so I am not uneducated on the time length it takes to service an oil change. They charge for how long they have had the vehicle rather than how long they have been working on it.

I scheduled a 10:00 appointment online and arrived and hour early checked in 15 minutes early just to be told I tried to call you early this morning, we have to reschedule because Im slammed, sorry. There was no phone call, and if there was, why not leave a voice message instead of waste my time. Usually whenever I went to Pep boys on the east coast Ive had nothing but good experiences each time. This was absolutely horrible. Theres 3 people standing around doing nothing and only a couple workers in the bay. Why have slots available if you have a full workload.

Im a ten year diesel mechanic. Sometimes there are services I cannot do because it requires a specialty shop, or I just dont want to do it went I get home from working on trucks all day. Daniel and Alan went above and beyond to ensure my car was taken care of. They performed service that I as a mechanic know was exceptional customer service in the industry. They also let me know how my car was doing. Alan was communicative throughout the service experience and my car feels brand new again as I drive it, while not breaking the bank! I recommend this place and I will definitely stop by again for my next services that I am unable to do myself! Thanks!

I would love to give this place -3 stars, just because the mechanic stole my money that was in my visor and when we went in today they lied straight to our face. That was the only place my car was on Friday and I put the money in there right before I checked in so later I could be on my way to pay our Comcast bill. I left it in there so I wouldn’t spend it but here comes Pep Boys stealing $130 from my car. Do not go here, they’ll lie straight to your face. And if you do go in and they have your car, make sure all your belongings are hiding or with you.

This place save was awesome. We were heading home to Spokane when we got a flat tire that was not repairable. We ran into an issue with a couple wheel studs which prevented us from getting the wheel off. It was about 4:30pm on a Sunday and these guys were willing to take a look at our car and get us fixed up when no one else would. The price they charged was more than reasonable and Im so happy we did not get stuck in Puyallup for the night. Thank you Pep Boys!

I took my car there a few months back asked if they could fit in a quick oil change they said sure. A week or so after the pan under the engine started to fall off because they either did not reinstall the screws and pins holding it or only did it hand tight. And I also had a oil leak that was never there before. Decided to take it to a dealership to get a better quality of work and to get my car fixed

Terrible service. I had a quote for new tires and wheels package quoted on Monday. I accepted the quote and scheduled an appointment on upcoming Sunday, six days to get the wheels in. The clerk said the wheels will be in around Wednesday or Thursday. Mind you. I have this quote printed, to ensure prices will be followed.So come Sunday, I checked in and waited, for almost two hours. They finally told me that don’t have the wheels in. It took them almost two hours to find the courage to tell. Really?I also feel they’re pointing out that it’s even my fault for coming in that day for not checking with them days before. I had a printed quote on hand and I was in their system for the appointment. Really?As I received my keys back, the clerk is telling me they’ll call once the wheels are in. Really?Pathetic service to say the least. Communication levels between staff, placing orders, inventory checks and customer updates prior to appointments are just deplorable.If there’s zero stars or even negative stars, that would be deserving. Unfortunately, I couldn’t to best describe the sad state of affairs in this business establishment. Really sad....

Brought vehicle in for check engine light. Was told needed oil change. Be about 15-20 min. Mind you this was after almost 2 hours of waiting. 3 hours into it supposedly the car isn’t drivable. So 4 hours later after missed appointments and no vehicle....pretty much a waste of our day. Thanks a lot Pep Boys and Hertz!!

The sale clerk saw me staring blankly at the windshield wiper blades and asked if I needed help. He locate the proper blades for my truck and he was super knowledgeable and helped me pick a great middle of the road set of wipers instead of trying to convince me to get the most expensive ones. Then he even installed them for me and got rid of all the garbage. May not seem like a big deal to most people, but I was having a pretty crappy day and he was just super nice and helpful without even being prompted. I really appreciated it . 👍👍

Everytime I have gone, I have not been disappointed by the level of care and service they provide to their customers. From buying windshield wipers to changing oil, they are friendly and have a smile. Especially with a serviceman there, Chad, who is willing to go the extra mile for the customer and meet their needs.

Neal helped us out so much today! He went out of his way to make sure that our vehicle was looked over properly even though we didnt have an appointment. When 15 other places told us no on a Sunday he said yes, I would be glad to help you! Furthermore, he didnt even charge us extra for his time and advice. My car check engine light 💡 was on and took car to Pep Boys Service department. The service department staff are friendly and Liz was amazing and caring with what was going on with my car. She explained the problem. The team went above and beyond in helping me resolve my car issues. I definitely will be back & recommend all women to get help from Liz & the Pep Boys Service team.

Descent prices on parts, and they have good quality products.The mechanic estimates however are so insane that I have never bothered to take them up on it. To have the brakes on my car done, they wanted almost $600. I went to a local mechanic who did it for half.

FYI- All info says they open at 730 on Saturday, they don’t. It’s 800Business 101, hours of operation. At least get that right. Have no other opinion on service or selection because I couldn’t even get into it.I’m not the only one, 6 other customers were also waiting.

I bought some tires on Amazon and Pep Boys has one of the few places that was on there to install them. I got an appointment and when I went to check in the check me in quickly. It only took them two hours to install the new tires and then I was on my way.

Real bad experience.. lazy and dishonest is the service I received.. went in for a tire purchase and a wheel alignment.. dropped my truck off at 11:30 am, got a call around 5:45 pm saying “we changed the drivers side tire but the passenger side is worn and it will pull to that side now, the mechanic is asking if you still want to do it”?. I said that’s fine, I’m gonna replace that side as soon as I can find some better tires. (I Only purchased the off brand tire they had there because the wires were already exposed on my tire). So the guy says ok we’ll just do it. About 5 mins later he calls back and says, “so the mechanic said your steering wheel is making a noise and he doesn’t want to do the alignment because he doesn’t want to be liable if something happens”. At this point I was confused because I started to get a feeling like they just didn’t want to do it. I asked him how repairing something and making it better is gonna cause more harm to it.. He basically stuttered and repeated himself getting stuck on why they couldn’t do it but couldn’t explain exactly why..

This is for the now none excitement Pep Boys retail side. I have been a customer for more than 40 years and have spent 10s of thousands of dollars between California and Washington states! Now they are no longer a Pep Boys retail store and all my points and coupons are no longer honored! Nice job guys, you just lost a customer!!!

I got a quote on Thursday for installing new adjustable coilovers and a alignment. I called Friday to schedule an appointment for Saturday, and was told the schedule was full for Saturday (which is fine). I was told an appointment could be made for 9am Sunday, and was told the job would require the car to be there all day (which was fine). I asked if I could drop the car off early Saturday night before close, and was told that the car would be parked in the garage overnight until the appointment time. I dropped the car off Saturday night excited for Sunday evening when the job would be complete. I was told that I would most likely be called in to confirm desired ride height, and to make sure my schedule could permit that visit (which was fine). 2pm Sunday rolls around and still no phone call. I call to get status update to find that my car hasnt been started at all. I was told that I had many appointments before mine, and that the technician may be able to start the job, but most likely wont be able to finish the job today. I requested the manager, and was told that I was speaking to the person in charge on Sunday. Furious, I told him not to start work on my car and I would pick it up. I can find someone who likes my money.

I drive a company car. The company has an arrangement with Pep Boys for maintenance. Last month I went to the Federal Way store for an oil change. It took an hour and a half and the crew seemed like they were in a cannibas fog - slow, unmotivated, and nothing more than the minimum level of effort to do their job.What a pleasant surprise at the South Hill store. They were friendly from the beginning. The service writer was eager to accommodate my service needs expeditiously.Oil change, air filter, wiper blades, and safety inspection: 45 minutes.Ill be using this store exclusively in the future, even if its a little out of my way.

Thank you for the exceptional service. I called, inquiring about a headlight replacement. I was told that they not only had the replacement, but that they could install it at no charge, because my car was an easy set up. I drove there, and it only took a couple minutes and I was on my way. I love that there were no complications, or confusions. They are all on the same page and consistent in their excellent customer service.

I made an appointment 3 days in advance of having tires put on. Upon arrival, Tire Service counter rep told me he just saw the appointment 5 min ago and they did NOT have the tires in stock. I had the option of leaving my vehicle there all day until the tires could arrive but I chose not to keep the appointment due to their lack of planning. I highly recommend going somewhere that specializes in tires has a staff that can plan for appointments and have the merchandise on hand.

Usually this place is great but today, I booked an oil change for 3pm. Wasnt even started until 415. Whats the point of an appointment if Im not able to be seen on time. Next time, Im going to another place.

You learn to appreciate PB when you need it. It is here for long time, I always drove by and never stopped, but when I needed new windshield wipers like ASAP I stopped here. Bought a lot more, and happy with the service I got from them.

The GM went above and beyond to help with my headlights, including putting them in himself. Staff was very friendly, helpful and their GM was very knowledgeable! I could not have been more pleased with my experience.

Bought wipers for my jeep which are not the customary J hook type. The young man behind the counter was tremendously helpful with assisting me to put them on. Great customer service in my opinion!
