Quality work done here. I needed a new exhaust setup on my 2001 Mustang as the previous one was welded poorly and had major leaks plus a bad driver side manifold. Josh, one of the owners, checked it out and showed me underneath my car and pointed out exactly what was wrong. Recommended I replace the driver side manifold and cat converter as well as get new pipes on both exhausts.I handed the car over to them and the job took a little bit longer than planned, but I have no complaints as I left the car on a Friday and theyre closed on weekends. When I finally got it back the results were amazing! My exhaust sounds so wonderful now and the car drives like a boss again. Highly recommend this shop!

--UPDATE--Since the owner actually reads the reviews I will provide more detail. I spent the day driving around getting in person quotes to include a ford dealership and this shops quote was $984 higher than the highest quote I received. When I went into the shop and told them of my issue he laughed and said HAHA thats going to cost you a million dollars. I then asked for an official quote and he sighed and acted as if it was a bother to him. The shops didnt seem busy and he was scrolling through FB on his phone as I approached him. So the conduct of the employee and the $1k over estimate over ALL competitors was enough to turn me off of this place.

Got stuck on the highway and had our car towed here.Everybody was extremely kind, helpful, and patient. The integrity and honesty of this shop and its workers was clear and abundant.I cannot recommend this shop enough, it was one of the best mechanic experiences Ive ever had.

Double A Automotive is the only place that I will take my car too. They do great work. They did my exhaust and coil overs. I’m super happy on it sounds and rides. Perfect ride height. I paid for a diagnosis for my vehicle. I did not get any repairs. It turned out that I needed a new engine. The quoted price seemed fair, but it was a more significant investment than I was initially willing to make. I spoke to Mike and he told me to take my time, as I was on the fence about fixing or scrapping the vehicle. I took about 2 weeks to make my decision, Mike again reassured me that I could take as much time as I need. I made the decision to get a new car and scrap the vehicle I brought in. For me, this was a significant and difficult financial decision. I am very appreciative of the patience and integrity of the shop.

Been looking for a decent shop in Puyallup for a while. Looks like I found one. Now Im no mechanic but I usually know whats wrong with my vehicles before I bring it in (with a little research). I try to do most things myself. When a job is too big Ill bring my truck to these guys. When talking to these guys they are A: very knowledgeable and B: fair in price. I highly recommend double As auto.

Great service! They were able to replace my car battery after it died in less time than I expected. The staff was friendly and efficient.

UPDATE....... The prices here are very good. For the job I had done they were half the rate of other shops.I would say that if you have any problems or concerns after your work, you should try to speak with the owner first. He seems to be pretty honest and open. I never got a bad attitude when dealing with him.

These are some of the most friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable people around! Cheap and quick diagnostics and repairs. They were honest and didnt push any products or future repairs on me. Extremely understanding of your money and are willing to help you out when needed. I will definitely keep coming to get my car fixed here!

Josh solved a problem with my leaking turbo (banjo bolt) that the Honda tech couldnt even find. I felt they were fair in pricing and cut me a break when they had issues with my stereo install (sent me to Foss).They couldnt really help with tuning (Flash Pro), which is fine, but keep that in mind.

My experience with this shop is extraordinary.They run a clean shop and provide the best service possible. I know that is hard to find an auto repair shop that you can trust, but AA is one that is ethical, fair, honest and completely trustworthy. I give them a five star because they deserve it.

Its hard to trust anyone these days. Everyone has a story about being ripped off by a mechanic or some other service. When you find a company you trust, its almost like you shouldnt share. I dont want them to get too busy to take care of me The crew at Double As is top notch. They know what their doing, the work is done very well, and quickly, and the price is value. Have you ever been given and estimate for repair and had the actual bill come in less? Really?!? I have. The work was easier and the parts were cheaper than the expected and they charged me less. Thats the action of an honest company, and I wont take my vehicles anywhere else.

Im buying a vehicle from out of state and had them perform a used vehicle inspection. Not only did they do a great job and provide a detailed report, but when I needed an additional form completed, they were responsive and helpful. I highly recommend any shop that goes to this level for customer service. It seems to be a lost art. Thanks for the help.

Great family owned business

Absolutely fabulous. Cant say enough about these guys. I was heading to Oregon from Seattle for the Eclipse in my F250 towing a 27 5th wheel trailer. My engine made an exploding sound and out came the black smoke. I called Double A and they told me I could have my truck and trailer both towed to the shop. They stayed late to get me back on the road at a great price. I will have all my large diesel work done here from now on.

Only place in the area I trust with my truck. Theyre honest, fast, and friendly. But most of all, damn good at what they do.

Found them to be extremely rude and cocky. Any business that tries to take advantage of a woman by herself shouldnt be in business. Funny thing was I know more about cars than the average woman. I highly recommend NOT going to them, especially if you have to rely on them to be honest!! Never again!!

Terrible place dishonest staff. I went there for almost 4 years because my dad told me thats where hes been taking his truck. Until about 2 years ago he went to get his oil changed and noticed they had changed the oil and not the filter. Which is wrong in so many ways. Especially since we drive diesal trucks and they basically run on oil. In the 4 or 5 years i was going to them i didnt know much about vehicles so i just paid the bill. In the last year i smartened up and started doing research when they told me the problem, called around for prices.bottem line the last 3 times i went there they trued screwing me over. They told me my front pads, rotors and tie rod links, and bushing were shot. So i bought the parts got my truck home spent my day ripping into it. Not a single thing was wrong. They quoted me 700! I never said anything to them just anyone and everyone i talk to. The last time it went there was today. My commuter car broke a belt and broke down about 200 yards from there shop. I took it there they wanted 300! Freaking bucks to replace my belt and the tensioner pulley. I laughed said no thanks. Called a shop down the road 85 bucks. Im not the only person who stopped going to them because either they got ripped off or someone they know did.There greedy thieves. And its far from over.

I have known the owner Aaron for many years and wouldnt trust anyone else with my vehicles. Go see Aaron at Double As!
