Granted I received the service I paid and asked for, (they must have had a bad day) Ive struggled with the idea of going back. They seemed to assume the worst of me and appeared annoyed and bothered with my presence. I felt extremely unwelcome.I tried to make friends with the staff, attempting to break the ice and make it a place Id like to come back to. I dont think they wanted that at all. Attempts at friendly engagements with the staff were met with coldness, tension, and aggression. They assumed the worst and it was almost as if they thought I was trying to provoke them to anger. Jimmy was extremely overwhelming to talk to.All things considered, I have a strong fear of going back.

I was a little guarded when I first went in because I’ve never dealt with a car mechanic before that hadn’t talked down to me. However, by the time I left I felt extremely comfortable interacting with the staff as they treated me great. Every time I walked in it was only a few seconds until someone was able to talk me. Doug immediately knew who I was each time and they treated me more than fair throughout the whole interaction. I am so glad I went to Jimmy’s. They called to update me throughout the price and made everything really easy. I’m easily a return customer at Jimmy’s! Thank you for everything! ❤️

Horrible horrible service. We took two vehicles in for an inspection to decide if we wanted to purchase them. The mechanic said he’s the only one there so it’ll be about an hour per car. He said he would call once one of the cars was finished so we could come and take it back to the dealer.After 3 hours of waiting we finally drove back and saw both cars sitting out, finished. When we came in the owner(?), an older man was very rude when we mentioned that we had been waiting and hadn’t received a call. He just goes “oh well that’s not good”. He asked our names and when we gave them to him he rudely responded “No, just one at a time.” Once he brings our papers over with the issues on each car he slides it over to us and doesn’t even go over them. I had to explicitly ask him to go over all of the issues, which should be a given when paying $90 for a car inspection, $180 between the two cars.Also, they tack on an $18 fee that isn’t quoted so be aware of that. He took it off when I asked about it but I know there are a lot of people who would just have paid it.Honestly, after this experience I would never buy a Volkswagen just so that I don’t have to come back. Thanks for making this decision an easy one!

These guys are super knowledgeable, which translates into faster work, better quality, and lower prices than the competition! My only regret is that I wasnt recommended to Jimmys until after I had an absolute nightmare of an experience with another mechanic.Jimmys has won over all of my business for as long as I own a VW.Thank you!

Jimmy was excellent while showing me cars, explaining them and telling me about service.(Which they do on site also) The paperwork was handled by his wife and she helped me with financing and just really knowing what I signed.Excellent experience

Jimmys is my go to shop for my Jetta. Theyve always taken great care of me and have really fair prices. Whenever I go in they make sure to give me a solid quote and explain what needs to be done.

My wife went to get an oil change today and decided to go to Jimmys. She dropped by to see if they had any openings. The front desk worker said “Well it’ll be about an hour.” And she said “oh okay, should I have called and made an appointment?” And he said annoyed “Well you can drop in and I can tell you that you can wait an hour, or you can make an appointment, so yeah it’s better to make an appointment.”It is very important for me to know that my wife (with our baby) is going to businesses that are welcoming and kind. The staff at Jimmys made her feel very unwelcome. She left with a terrible taste in her mouth and neither of us will ever go to Jimmys again with our business.

I purchased a car from Jimmys last year. Which was a great experience! I recently had a mechanical problem which wasnt under warranty. I took it into Jimmy and he fixed for free... Probably would have been two hundred or more at the dealer. My next car purchase will be from Jimmys.Thanks JimmyDean

I had a wonderful experience with them. They are a family-run retailer, and they were very upfront, straight-forward, and honest with me. I never felt any weird pressure from them. Yes, they wanted me to buy a car (obviously), but they were always polite and never pushy. They gave me a really great deal on a Volkswagen Jetta TDI. I told them my budgeted monthly price and they came down on the price of the care in order to match what I had budgeted for. Overall, I am very glad I chose to go here.

Awesome shop for all german vehicles. We had an airbag light on because the battery had died and tripped the system. They reset it in about 2 minutes for FREE! :) I will definitely go back. Prices are also WAY cheaper than Audi in Orem and they are much more honest.

I completely recommend Jimmys love bug for car buying (I suspect the maintenance service is also good, but I havent had experience with that yet). The main things I liked about Jimmys is he was very honest with the condition and history of the car and had given it a through look over before putting it up for sale. I also felt no pressure, and they have no dealership fees or any of the other song and dance I experienced at other retailers such as strong VW in downtown SLC.If you are looking for a VW or other German made car, I highly recommend giving Jimmys a visit.

We paid them $600 to fix the coolant system because it was losing fluid. Our light came on a week later and we went back. They told us that another leak had sprung up. We asked why they didnt catch it the first time, and they claimed it wasnt there. We paid over $125 more to fix that. Two days later, the light came on again and there was another. They claimed all three coincidentally occurred within a weeks time frame. The mechanic was very rude to my wife for asking not be charged for the third fix. I later heard from friends that they have taken advantage of others before.

I recently bought a VW Rabbit from Jimmys. I was treated like an old friend and the salesman even met me on a Sunday to finish the paperwork. I will definitely buy from them again.
