I am so happy that my neighbor recommended Sayrebrook Vet Hospital to me. Their entire team was so kind and patient with my dogs. Having two large breed puppies who arent fully trained are a handful and they were able to exam them thoroughly using positive reinforcement and patience. They never suggested a muzzle or tranquilizers (Like my previous Vet).Medically the vet was extremely knowledgeable and gave great advice and helped me make educated choices regarding my dogs flea and tick treatments and vaccines.Needless to say I fell in love with this practice and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend 👌 Thank you Dr Bill and staff!!

The vet was good, thorough and nice. The biggest problem is the wait, you make an appointment for a reason and dogs don’t love the vet so having them wait in the car for 30 min to an hour, then wait in the vet for the doctor and then wait again to pay and leave. It’s a really terrible experience. I don’t know whether this is consistent or it’s COVID but I would recommend having less appointment times so they don’t back up or calling in advance and tell people to show up later. This was my first time at this vet and I’m not confident I will be back because it was for two separate appointments with two dogs and the same experience.

I wish I can put cero stars . We had an emergency 3 days ago. We arrived there at 7:38 pm on a Thursday and the place was closed. We saw a car coming near us and with a frustrating face a man, apparently the doctor said “ are we expecting you?????!!!! I said, in tears, no! Please help us we have an emergency!!! He came out of his car with an attitude, looked a my dog and said . She is clearly Dying! Where is the bedside manner??? We ask him to please tell us what to do and he kept repeating a phone number . My boyfriend gave him his phone and ask him to please write the address. He, again typed the phone number . He told me my dog needs to be put yo sleep. We didn’t waste anymore time and took off to Red Bank Hospital. Today, my sweet girl is recovering . Please don’t take your pet to him !!!!

I have nothing but extremely positive things to say about this place! I brought in my rabbit, Binky, for a neutering with House of Rabbit Society and my rabbit made a quick recovery and back to hopping in no time!! They used a laser kind of therapy treatment to help heal the wounds (I forget the proper name) but my bunny was back to himself in no time!! Not to mention the vet techs were so sweet and comforting, as well as the vet himself! The veterinarian made me feel 100 times better about the surgery even though we couldn’t meet face to face due to COVID restrictions! He was seriously so warm and friendly! I had a question and called into the after hours time and someone answered within five minutes and addressed my concerns!! I seriously appreciate it to everyone involved with my bunnies care. Although it is a far drive for me, I would go back here again if there was any concerns with my bunny! Binky and I thank you all for the collective effort in making my bunny happy!!

I was going back and forth to this vet for almost 2 whole months, and they never found out why my dog was sick or what the problem was. He was in pain the whole 2 months and wasn’t acting like himself at all. We went to another vet and they found the problem within the first visit. In less than a week after going to another vet my dog was almost 100% back to normal. If we would’ve went to the other vet first then I would’ve saved $600+ And my dog would’ve have been suffering for 2 whole months. They never even gave me the suggestion for a stool test when that’s the very first thing a vet should ask for, especially when they don’t know what’s wrong. Go to another vet.

Poor Spot had a UTI and had clumping cat litter stuck in his fur that I couldnt get off no matter how hard I tried. I had called a bunch of other vets who wouldnt see me because Spot is technically feral and I had no way of knowing if he had any vaccinations. She took good care of Spot, he got his rabies vaccination and necessary medical treatment. The staff were quite terrific and very pleasant. I did find the costs to be very expensive that is why I didnt give 5 stars.

They neutered my little bunny and participate with the rabbit society which allows you to pay $100 to get a certificate which decreases the cost of neutering your bun. I literally called probably around 20 vets in NJ, NY and PA. All places didn’t have available appts or the costs were between $600-900. I am so beyond grateful I came here. To protect you from covid they come get your pet from your car. I was super nervous bc my bun has never been to a vet before and there’s a lot of risks with neutering a bun since they are delicate animals. But this veterinary hospital briefed me on everything and treated my bunny with a lot of care. It took about a day for the anesthesia to ware off and he is back to his sweet sassy self.

Sayrebrook listened to our concerns and offered an immediate appointment - I completed intake paperwork online with Ziggy in my lap while my husband drove. The staff was super friendly and professional - again patiently listening while we rattled off every fact possible about our cat (thank you, Kara!!!!! ). COVID precautions were great. They are awesome because they can do blood work and analyze on site. We were provided results the next morning by the vet himself, who also wanted to know how Ziggy was doing. Overall a professional but friendly atmosphere, with prompt service, and they make you feel like they care about your pet as much as you do. Our usual clinic is still closer so we will continue to go there, but knowing Sayrebrook is available in an emergency is a great relief!!! Thank you so much. 😊

We had to make the hardest choice in letting him go. Dr. Toolen and the staff were so great and understanding. They never rushed us, let us spend time with him in our car, and everyone on the staff there that night treated my wife and our boy with respect, understanding and care. It made such a terrible night just a little bit more manageable. Since then we’ve received his ashes and a lovely card from them, and it really showed a level of empathy and care not seen in the field anymore. We are telling everyone we know to make sure to take their pets to Sayrebrook and Dr. Toolen. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We decided to put her to sleep here a few days later and the service was truly impeccable. From the moment I called to make the appointment, to when they picked her from our vehicle - I knew she was in good hands and wasnt going to suffer any longer. A few weeks later I received a letter in the mail signed by the staff expressing that they were sorry for our loss and wishing we were healing. So over this place. I used to take my late cat here and thought the people were lovely, but they were not professional at all when she actually got sick. One day she starts vomiting and sat in one spot under the table for hours without eating. We bring her in for an emergency check-up, and the nurse comes back saying that they found a mass pushing against her heart. They said it was irreversible and decided to be a wiseacre, saying Wellll, /thats/ the thing about heart disease, it never goes away. As if WE were supposed to know she had a prior condition to get early treatment for her. Mind you, we never skipped an appointment for this cat. If there were glaring red flags they found at prior check-ups why did they not bring it up then?Later, they decide to keep her at the vet to watch, and come evening they say its time to put her down. They ask us if we want to keep her company and saying yes, we immediately head out to the vet. We are not even 10 minutes away but when we got there they had already put her down. I understood she was in pain, but we were NOT allowed to be with her the whole way and it wasnt until I spoke to more pet-owners that I realized how incredibly messed up this was. They offered an autopsy to confirm whether or not she had lymphoma based on their guess. I declined. That was almost three years ago. My brother and I have rescued 2 kittens since then. Recently his young female cat needed to get spayed and took her here. Quick. She came back and she was wheezing and hacking for the whole two weeks she was recovering. When he called the vet they only told us not to worry unless snot starts coming out of her nose. That didnt explain much, so I did my own research. It couldve had something to do with how they administered the anesthetic. It couldve been bad, or couldve been fine, but Im at the point where I need to fact-check people who are supposed to be the experts here. Not to mention that with my first cat there were a couple times they mixed up her records and accidentally listed her as an obese 20 lb cat. It led to interesting conversations at the time, but the devil is in the details with this place, and I feel like I can no longer trust them to reliably take care of animals.Ive since taken my second cat to a different vet and the difference in treatment is dumbfounding. My male cat is going to get neutered and its been easy comparing the process for both cats. The new vet has been incredibly patient during all prior appointments and explained all procedures well, even though Ive been through this before. Sayrebrook has shown me that they only care about going from appointment to appointment to get your money. I get too many dismissive maybes from this place and a whole lot of omitted information. Please, take your pet somewhere where they actually care about animals. Sayrebrook has consistently shown me otherwise when it really needed to count.

Hello everyone! We’ve been taking our 8 year old girls to Sayrebrook Vet Hospital (SVH) for over two years. SVH used to be good but the vets pop in and out like popcorn. Our vet left and we had a new veterinarian yesterday, Dr. Tooley. Completely unprofessional, discourteous, extreme judgemental tone of voice, she was short, and very rude. She tried to make up for her attitude at the end by giving our dog a free ultrasound but we left feeling very uncomfortable and feeling like We can’t trust them. We 100% feel like we need to find a more reliable vet for our girls. I am concerned that my girls are not getting the care that they need from Dr. Tooley. If you go here I would highly recommend you avoid Dr. Tooley. I’ve never had a vet treat us the way she treated us yesterday. Super disappointed and am seeking a new vet because of it. In addition, the technician, Stacey, working the front desk was very short and made it obvious that we were bothering her when we asked her for copies of our vet records. They’re attempting to double charge us for our visit yesterday and also clipped the dogs nails without consulting us first and then told us that we would be charged for it whether we like it or not. Again, she tried to makeup for her confrontational and judgmental attitude by telling us that dogs nail trim was “her treat” due to them not consulting us prior. I’m grateful that our girls nails got trimmed but we really wish they had consulted us first. We didn’t come to have her nails trimmed. We came for her wellness exam which we are now being told wasn’t done and will have to be re-done in a few weeks. I really think it’s time for a better vet.

Last month I brought my cat to the vet since she was losing her hair and looked like she was having an allergic reaction to the medication the vet at sayrebrook prescribed for her. After the first visit my cat continued to lose her hair more and even started to bleed from her bald spots. After a month, two visits, and over $600 down the drain, they only prescribed a flea and tick treatment and not any antibiotics. my cat continued to lose her hair, scratch herself to the point she was bleeding on her back and face, and isolate herself at home. I had it and switched vets. The new vet informed me that my cat was losing her hair because she was scratching herself due to EAR MITES and did not understand why no antibiotics were prescribed !!!! how did sayrebrook not notice that in her ears after two vet visits. My cat suffered for over a month because they did not do their job and take the time to look over my cat. If I had never switched vets, who knows what would have happened to my cat. Very upset with Sayrebrook and recommend to not take your animal there. Wish I can give them no starsUpdate October: Because sayrebrook could not do their job, my cat is dying. Sayrebrook could have prevented my cat from her pancreatitis from worsening. I didn’t even know she had it until my new vet took another blood test (which had the same results as the test sayrebrook took). No one at sayrebrook could even go over the blood test they did on my cat in August. When I reached out to them, they only emailed me a copy of the test! couldn’t even take the time to look over the results! My new vets are doing all they can to save my cat and can hopefully save her life. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE, you may end up losing your beloved pet.Response to owner’s comment: I did contact you guys. I am and always have been in the system! You guys have caused so much damage on myself, my family, and my pet. I had to put my cat down last night since you guys did not detect she had CANCER and was suffering for months.

My first vet choice and one of the best. I brought my 5 month old rabbit here to get a check up before her spay and everyone was not only welcoming but very kinda and quick. My rabbit felt so comfortable at this vet she lied right down and relaxed everyone was so well equipped and knew not only how to handle but gave me plenty of information as well. A wonderful vet!

Sayrebrook Vet Hospital did a great job for our cat. We called for an appointment and was seen same day during the pandemic.. The techs came out in the pouring rain to get our cat and the doctor called twice while he was being seen and the techs then returned him to us with his medication. The doctor followed up the next morning to explain blood work and to see how he was doing. Everyone took as much time as was needed in the situation and working under stressful conditions. Thank you.

My Rocky (yorkie) has been a patient with this vet for 13 years and I highly recommend this place for the great love and care they have always given my Rocky. Will never forget a sad time when I took him to get care for a bad 3rd degree burn he accidentally had by his tail area & how this place immediately rush to care for him & the outcome was a success thanks for them caring for him quickly. ❤🐾

They took great care when trimming my guinea pigs nails -- only $14 a pig, and loving, patient techs! Thanks to the front desk staff too, they answered my questions. I will definitely be returning with Snowball and Buttercup :-)

While the vets and techs are lovely people, the place is a money grab. Our dog is old and they always insist on tests she doesnt need and guilt trip you when you dont do it. She went, got stressed out from being there, and had an anxiety attack that could have killed her since she has a weak heart. So over this place.Apart from that, you wait forever. Just dropping her off for a test, we waited 30 min. With a normal appointment, you wait a good 2-3 hours. Then, once my dog is well stressed out, we get into a room and they ask us if shes always panting so hard. They arent worth the money or time, especially if you have an older dog. Go somewhere else.

Our recent rescue is still working on his manners with other dogs. The staff at Sayrebrook got us into a room quickly, and handled the appointment and booster shots promptly and professionally. Really helped to make it a stress free visit for pet and parent.

I took my ginger Cooper to Sayrebrook last September when he had a urinary blockage. Dr. Toolen took him in right away. She was very empathetic through the entire thing. She gave us daily updates even on her days off. The lady is an angel dropped from the animal heavens that’s for sure.

Had a last minute emergency with my dog first thing when we woke up and no other Vet would take us. Sayrebrook was the only one who said yes and took us immediately, regardless that it was one hour before they closed. Going to a new vet and worried about our dog was very stressful but we felt so relieved when we left. All the staff was SO nice and made us feel very comfortable. They didn’t take advantage of the fact that we didn’t know what was wrong, nor did they discriminate that he was a pit. They were honest and straightforward, rather then up selling us for things that we didn’t need (that’s what the last place that we went to did, and most will do.) if you’re looking for a place with an friendly, honest environment and most importantly VERY reasonable prices, you must give them. A chance!! Very happy! Thank you!!
