Installed a gas heating system 20 years ago and 20 years later on the coldest day of the year - they came out in a jiffy and replaced the ignitor - and didnt cost me an arm and a leg. Good technician and Gail in the office is super.
This company does not need your business. According to Mutual Engineerings website: You can trust Mutual HVAC for all of your cooling service needs. Whether you are due for an annual tune-up or need help with a surprise breakdown, we are just a call away! Just be sure to call them day after day after day . . . because NO ONE is going to call you back after a surprise breakdown when you need your A/C serviced (i.e. the central A/C system that you actually purchased from them). My family had been a customer of theirs since 1979 - purchasing two central A/C systems and one ductless a/c system for a separate in-law space, not to mention the countless service calls over 40 years. I understand that periods of extreme heat generate more requests for emergency service needs, but all I was asking for was a call back with information on when we might even expect a technician to come out so that we could ensure someone would be at the house at that time. What I got 5 days later was a call two hours before a technician would be arriving at the house to provide this service. By that point we had made alternate arrangements. The response from Mutual Engineering: Ok. I guess 40 years of customer loyalty isnt worth much these days.
