I love taking the kickboxing class every Tuesday and Thursday. Stephanie is a great instructor and there are a great group of women who take the class. This class is a great compliment to my other workouts. I enjoy taking my stress out on the bags!

I always get a good workout with Ms.Stephanie! Ive only been doing it 2 weeks and already lost 2 inches off my waist! Ms.Stephanie is a very good teacher she doesnt push too hard but instead is very supportive! And the class is affordable!

We started taking our four-year-old daughter to Seven Spears a little over a month ago. She absolutely loves going. It is more than just martial arts; they teach the Tiny Tigers to apply things like focus, listening, and respect. Stephanie is fantastic and makes sure to personally connect with the students as well as the parents. The other instructors and leaders are also great and work well with the Tiny Tigers.

Stephanie provides a very friendly atmosphere for students who are newcomers or experienced in Muay Thai. From our few sessions there, I can tell there are no egos and everyone is more than willing to introduce themselves (shoutout to Ashley!)We are happy to have found them on Yelp and got to join the classes during our short time in SD. We are so happy with Seven Spears. It has been my dream for my daughter to learn Jiu Jitsu so she can be more confident and learn skills for self defense. The instructors are patient but firm and amazing instructors. My daughter is getting great exercise and is becoming more confident. I couldn’t be happier!

Seven Spears has an AMAZING kids program. A friend highly recommended we check this place out and so happy we did. My son has been going here for the past 6 months and LOVES it. We started with the kids Muay Thai program and just added the kids Jiu-Jitsu program as well. Each class is different, challenges the students to improve their skills and work hard, as well as teaches the kids the importance of respect, hard work and discipline. All the coaches are fantastic at working with kids and are great at providing the attention they need to ensure they are doing everything correctly. The classes are fun, high energy and provides lots of physical activity. My son is exhausted and sweaty after each class. We love it here! Highly recommend Seven Spears!

Amazing martial arts school with a great community and real quality instructors. I great balance of martial arts all under one roof. Karate, Muay Thai boxing and Gracie /Brazilian jiujitsu! Awesome kids program and a great way to get kids active while learning real martial arts skills. My 2 boys started at ages 5 and 7 amd have been training jiujitsu for 3 years now. They are now 7 and 10 and even got their 50 year old dad on the mats. We love it! Give this martial arts academy a try and see for yourself.

My daughter goes here and she loves it. She does both muay thai and tang soo do. I myself also do muay thai for adults. Everyone there is like a family there. The instructors love working with kids. My daughter loves doing this because it gives her more confidence. Bring your kids here! Theyll love it!

Miss Spears passion for the martial arts shows in every aspect of Seven Spears. Her years of experience and knowledge is evident during each class she teaches. Disciplined, focused and tough but fun classes. She and her Instructors dont just teach but also keep up with their own personal training. Also, love how she and her students are seen out in the community doing demonstrations and/or charity work. Honor and integrity on and off the mat. Great school to be a part of!

My 7 and 9 year old kids have been practicing Tang Soo Do at Seven Spears for 2 months now, and its been wonderful. All three teachers are helpful with high expectations of the students progress and behavior. Its been nice to watch class and see how the teachers really push proper form and trying your best at whatever level youre currently performing. Im pleased with the workout theyre getting as well as the life lessons and character development.

Both of my kids love going to Seven Spears Martial Arts Academy. They are happy going to class, enjoy training with Miss Stephanie and Mr. Eddie, and have fun with the other kids in the classes.My younger child who is on the Autism Spectrum was very hesitant to attend karate classes even though we had tried to get him to go for years. However, once he saw Miss Stephanies class, he asked on his own if he could join! He feels confident now from the positive reinforcement, patience, and encouragement.We are so happy to have a place for our kids to go where they have positive role models in their instructors as well as other respectful children as their classmates. Our two children are receiving quality instruction as well as having a welcoming and kind environment to train in. I would definitely recommend Seven Spears to anyone looking for a karate class for their children.

Our 2 daughters have been going to Seven Spears for many years now. The instructors work well with the kids in various martial arts and practice, as well as being involved in community events and martial arts tournaments. The Black Belt Jr leadership classes have been great and we appreciate having the Black Belts learn how and participate in being leaders.

Excellent Muay Thai gym. Instructors are very knowledgeable and really take their time to make sure you learn the proper techniques and movements. Would highly recommend this gym to someone wanting to learn Muay Thai.

My son has been going to Seven Spears since Miss Stephanie took over for VALR Martials, maybe 6 years total. I really liked a lot of things about VALR and it seems like Miss Stephanie kept the best of VALR (a little more focused and disciplined compared to other places I scouted) and has added a number of new classes and ideas (such as demo team and leadership training) that has noticeably motivated my son. She and Mr. Eddie are excellent instructors and I highly recommend them and the school!
