My experience with John was outstanding. I was recovering from hip replacement and had physical therapy with other therapists previously. This was a whole different game. John worked one on one with me, watching and correcting my movements. I am now walking normally without pain. Thank you, John.
I absolutely LOVE Feldman Physical Therapy! They are so knowledgeable & encouraging. Ashley is amazing!!! She has me on a wonderful, personalized training program - I’m stronger, faster & pain free!!!Thank you Feldman Physical Therapy!
Ashley is a wonderful and knowledgable Physical Therapist. She helped me get pain free and active again. The one on one experience is definitely beneficial in achieving your goal quicker. Each session is an entire hour of quality interaction and instruction. Definitely recommend seeing Ashley for any physical therapy needs!
I saw John Nunez upon recommendation of a good friend. Almost a year prior, I had been training for a ½ Ironman race when I started having a strange combination of body issues that stopped my training in its tracks. After many negative tests and no diagnosis, I was determined to start training again. John was able to make that happen. We worked with what we knew to support the unknown. John was patient and compassionate and able to adjust my therapy to my strange set of symptoms. He pulled things back when needed and pushed me when I was ready. This culminated in me completing my first sub-2 half marathon in October. I cannot thank him enough for all of his help. I have since moved to the West Coast and am hoping that I can find someone of his professional caliber out here. John is the man… go see him for comprehensive physical therapy and training!
John did an excellent job helping to treat my injury. He was thorough in my evaluation and provided me with a variety of exercises that I felt confident doing on my own. John had a lot of knowledge on running related injuries and offered strength building exercises to support my level of running. He was easy to talk to, professional and supportive.
Ive seen both Justin and Ashley and cannot say enough great things about them. Ive struggled with chronic shin splints and felt helpless before seeing them. Ive done the running evaluation 3 times and find a noticeable positive improvement in my form and decreased pain each time. Both are outstanding listeners who have made me a better athlete. Well worth the money!
After two years of suffering with a foot injury with minimal improvement even after surgery, I began seeing Ashley for a last ditch PT effort. I had seen multiple physical therapists during my time being injured, but none come close to the experience I’ve had with Ashley. Having the whole hour of quality one on one time is invaluable. She is extremely knowledgeable and not only helped me physically recover from my injury, but mentally as well. With her advice and guidance, I have been able to break through my fear of being injured again. As a runner, the idea of never running again due to my injury was absolutely devastating but something I thought I had to live with. In my time in PT, Ashley built me up to being able to do what I love again! I cannot recommend her enough!
Excellent. One on one. Takes his time and explains what you are doing and why.
I was dealing with a tweak in my shoulder for about a year on and off. Finally deciding to do something, I made an appointment to get it checked out. After working with John for about a month and a half, my pain has been completely eliminated. Very friendly staff and super attentive. Ive been to physical therapy before at a different center years ago and I wished I had known about Feldman PT then. My treatment time was cut in half and I have the tools to keep my shoulder strong and injury free going forward.
I have been seeing Justin for about 4-5 months for post knee surgery and I feel so much better. My knee is much stronger. He really helped me understand the body mechanics of my knee and would take the time to explain things clearly. I live 50 minutes from his office and it was always worth the trip.
Justin does great work. You get his undivided attention and his care and treatment are top notch. Justin helped me with some nagging issues that others couldnt resolve. He also tells some pretty good stories. Ashley provides the same top quality care and attention. Shes thorough, detailed and highly skilled.
My experience at Feldman was amazing. John Nunez always made me feel comfortable and right at home. I had plenty of time to be treated, as well as practice exercises, and never felt rushed. John also exceeded expectations by continuously checking in with me after I no longer needed PT to see how I was progressing. If you are thinking about it, try out a session and you wont be disappointed.
A truly incredible approach to health and well being. So glad I found this place. A fantastic combination of medical expertise and bedside manner. Thank you!
After a recent flare-up with my back, the orthopedist prescribed 4-6 weeks of PT. Id been to more conventional PT practices before for other issues and did see some positive results, but after reading up on their approach - and getting a solid recommendation from a co-worker - I thought Id give Feldman a try. Im really glad I did! Ashley has taken a 360-degree approach to assessing my fitness, movement patterns and limitations, and lifestyle demands to identify and help treat the true root cause(s) of the acute symptoms that brought me here. Additionally, shes helped me develop and work toward some performance goals down the road. Shes knowledgeable, attentive, and keeps the sessions interesting and challenging. Highly recommend. Thanks Ashley!
I saw John Nunez for knee pain Ive been experiencing for several years. In a little over a month my knee pain is gone and I know exactly how to continue building my strength and maintaining my progress. I can highly recommend working with him!
I began seeing Dr. Feldman at the suggestion of my OB-GYN due to increased sciatic pain caused by my pregnancy. As most know it is not advised to take most pain medication while expecting. I found myself spending hours on the couch recuperating after a short trip to the grocery store. This was only my first trimester and I could only imagine what the pain would be like in my third.Dr. Feldman helped diagnose the pain during my first session and had me due a series of easy stretches to help strengthen and stretch my muscles. He told me that the stretches would help ease the pressure the baby was putting on certain nerves. Most of the stretches I could also do at home in a modified setting. My back and legs started feeling 90% better after the first two weekly sessions. He advised that I continue going weekly until I delivered as things move and shift a lot during a normal pregnancy. As the weeks went on new aches and pains would pop up and Dr. Feldman would adjust and add different exercises to do to help with the discomfort. I am now almost at my due date and I feel better now than I did in my first pregnancy (which was mostly pain free). I now have been recommending physical therapy to all my pregnant friends and coworkers. I feel that having a professional help pinpoint and correct the discomfort has been a very valuable asset for this pregnancy.
John Nunez is the best!! Back in February 2019 I had surgery to repair a knee injury. John evaluated my post-surgical condition and set a treatment plan for my recovery including coaching me on exercises to do at home. Each week he would adjust the treatment based on how my body was responding to the exercises. His level of personal attention and knowledge is impressive and set me on the correct path to full recovery. Whether you are recovering from an injury or want to condition yourself to reduce certain sports related injuries, John Nunez is the man to see. Thank You John!
Following my total knee replacement on November 12th, I decided to give Feldman Physical Therapy a try for two reasons: 1) Justin was highly recommended by a good friend who had a shoulder injury and he worked wonders for her, and 2) The convenience of being located at the gym where I am a long time member. Initially I was a little bummed I wasnt assigned to Justin as my Physical Therapist. Rather, I was assigned to his colleague, Ashley Whitson. She did not disappoint! Dont be fooled by her diminutive size. She is strong, highly professional and knows her stuff! She was gentle, initially (4 days following surgery), but each week she expected more of me. We worked weights and balancing exercises into my PT and I religiously followed my home exercises. Their philosophy of only one session a week with them works if you do what youre told to work on at home (or if you have access to a gym). Extremely positive all around experience and results! I can say today that I barely even realize I have a replaced knee. It feels great. Thank you, Ashley. You are awesome!Eileen Sylvia
Please take a look at this Physical Therapy team before you go to a PT Mill, where you pay and expensive co-pay because your insurance covers them. Feldman doesnt work that way on purpose. If you pay for two sessions there, its worth weeks of what your insurance covers. Would you rather pay per session and have your therapist spend a total of 10 minutes total on you because s/hes got five other patients at the same time when you pay for an hour, or would you rather go to a one on one session where youre the only patient, and you get sent home with valuable exercises? Why would you keep going to a place and pay them when youre doing the physical work anyway? Jason fixed my shoulder in two sessions last fall. He filmed my sessions so I could replay them on my phone to maintain form and remember my exercises. Eight months later, Im way stronger, pain free and back full steam at the gym. Total out of pocket cost: $250. How much are your co-pays to fix your pain?Disclaimers:1. You have to do the exercises at home religiously. You need to do that anyway to get better in most orthopedic situations anyway. Again - no reason to pay for what you can do on your own. Either way, if you dont do your exercises, you wont get better. Sucks.2. Jason and his team are amazing, but if you have had any sort of replacement surgery (knee, hip, etc.), you probably want to check with your orthopedist. My husband did need to go for extra help after hip replacement at first.Thank you, Jason!!!!!!Susan Berube
Ive been seeing Justin for a few years off and on for many different injuries. Right when I reach the point where I feel hopeless and needing to quit a sport due to pain, I go see him and he turns me around. I walked out of the office yesterday, back muscles looser and with much less pain. I woke this morning feeling 95% better and comforted knowing I have tools (at home exercises) to continue my recovery. Thanks again JF!
I have been a patient of Justins for over 3 years. Justin has seen me through 2 major surgeries. I made steady but slow progress. I thought my arm would never feel better. Justin was always encouraging and never let me give up. Over the last month seeing Justin for one full hour has made a huge difference in my progress. I finally feel the pain is getting better and the results are lasting longer. I finally feel like I will get better. Thank you Justin!
I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Feldman Physical Therapy. Justins approach comes from a deep understanding of not only the medical issues at hand, but also the desire for athletes to enjoy their sport of choice. When I came to him with a fully torn meniscus and a cyst, he offered sound advice, strengthening exercises and support to help me get back on the road and running. In a world filled with fast fix solutions and a bias to surgeries and interventions, Justins desire to help patients steadily overcome current injuries, while addressing muscle imbalances to prevent future ones is, in a word, refreshing. His advice was sound and Ive slowly been able to return to running -- this time with a plan in place to work on my weaknesses so that Im a stronger, healthier runner. Thanks, Justin!
After injuring my wrist in the midst of competitive training, I was hoping to find a PT that could get me back on track as soon as possible. I coached Justin this summer and fall in rowing, and I had seen his knowledge of physical therapy first hand in helping out his fellow teammates (he should charge them for all the advice!). So when I was hurt, going to Justin was a no brainer. I believe his hands on approach and full hour of undivided time is the reason that I was able to shorten my projected recovery time and get back to working out so quickly. I highly recommend Justins service.
Justin is awesome! After living with shoulder pain from a sports-related injury for almost a year, Justin was able to relieve the pain after one visit. Though it took a few more weeks to be back to 100% I was able to continue competing pain-free in my sport while undergoing treatment. A huge plus for me is that because Justin is a fellow athlete, he understands how the body works and the pressure our chosen sports put on our body. As a result, he’s able to diagnosis and treat the injury while also providing guidance so as not to reinjure yourself.
If you want high quality care, compassion, a very knowledgeable and honest PT, then Feldman Physical therapy is the place to go. Justin is a phenomenal PT. I have had multiple injuries over the years (knees, neck, ankle) due to my clumsiness. I have been treated by other PTs in the past, but Justins bedside manner, customized therapeutic plan, and knowledge of the body is second to none. He is not only a great PT, but an awesome person as well. I never disliked going to physical therapy. He helped me get right back on my feet ( no pun intended) and I havent had an issue since. One of the best there is!
I have used Justin now for both shoulder surgery recovery and for back injury rehab. To say the least, just is professional and beyond knowledgeable. He knows just how much to push to achieve your personal PT goals yet wont overdo it and make you feel uncomfortable. Not only does he know his stuff but he is so personable that you want to go just to get to see him. My rehab results were stellar for both injuries.
I have a bone disease and need top notch care from surgeons, physical therapists, chiropractors and other professionals. I had a superb PT named Drew Whalen but he moved south a few years ago. However, good fortune prevailed (thanks to a tip from Brandi Nicole, the best masseuse in Dutchess County) and I found John Nunez who was, believe it or not, trained by Drew. You can tell in no time that John is the real deal--trained, experienced, compassionate, attentive, competent, ready to take you to the highest level you are capable off--all that and he is down to earth and humble too. When your body needs more, Feldman PT is the place to go. Bob Beverley, psychotherapist and author
I injured my left knee five years ago and it just wouldnt heal correctly. Justin Feldman fixed me up and my knee is doing better than ever! I hurt my left ankle running a year or so ago and it hasnt fully recovered. Just made an appointment because I know this guy can help!
After an injury at 19, I began running at 30 and discovered I had bad knee pain after a half marathon. 1 MRI and an Orthopedist later I was running with patella straps and runners knee and just dealing with it.After Feldman Physical Therapy was recommended, I saw Justin. He explained my problem was due to how my injury healed. After completing prescribed exercises I was running 4 days later with no knee pain and none since.I finished a cross country race this year 2 hours faster than last year because I didnt have to hobble the last 2 miles on the mountain.Justin is great and really knows his stuff.
Justin Feldman is awesome! He gives his full attention and expertise to every patient....and he always has a funny story.
I highly recommend Feldman for all questions pertaining to pain, strength, and alignment! They are incredibly attentive and made me feel listened to and cared for.
I went to Justin because of severe pain in my shoulder. He spent the full hour with me, stretching it, moving the joint and worked with me on exercises to do on my own afterward. It felt great after the treatment. Justin really knows what hes doing, and his method of spending so much time with his patients really works!
I have been a patient of Justins for a while now. He has committed himself to my case, and has shown me that he cares as much about my injury as I do. One thing that I love about Feldman PT is how the patient care is one on one. There is only one patient there while you are working, and this insures that you are getting as much attention as possible. Also, he did not just tell me to do 30 of this activity or do something for 20 minutes. Instead he was with me the whole time and was watching my leg to see how much it could take. Rather than pushing me too far, he watched to see how much I could take, and that was how much I would do. I strongly reccomend Justin and Feldman PT to anyone looking for a place for rehab and healing.
Justin has helped me with my running in tremendous ways. I have achilles tendonitis and was ready to just give up. After seeing him 2-3x a week for a few months, I slowly but surely got better. He knew exactly how I felt, what to do, what to suggest, what to buy to help support my ankles/calves, and turned me around from crying to smiling! Justin is a very knowledgeable and experienced PT. He listens, has a good bedside manner, is friendly, outgoing, funny, and smart! He knows his stuff. I highly recommend him for any injury. You will not be disappointed!!
I first went to Feldman Physical Therapy because I had injured my shoulder. It progressively got worse and so I went to see Justin. He spends the entire hour with an individual client which was different than my previous experiences in physical therapy. He explained what to do at home regarding stretching and mobility exercises and made certain I was doing them correctly. As my shoulder began to improve, my knee began acting up from running. Justin is a runner and so I returned for his help with this issue as well. The knee is now also much better. I have total confidence in him and am sure I will return for periodic tune-ups!!
Both of my knee caps were popping for about a year - and they would ache for 2-3 days after that. After X-rays and MRIs with an orthopedic surgeon, the surgeon recommended PT. I decided to go to Feldman Physical Therapy based on the recommendations of my many running friends (happily, the popping problem did not impact my running). I started to see Justin Feldman in October 2016, first on a weekly basis through mid-December and then every 2 weeks and now every 3-4 weeks. Justin is the best physical therapist I have ever been to. He takes the time to understand your problems, and he focuses on getting you on the mend as quickly as possible with specific PT exercises to work on your problems. You get a full hour with Justin -- just you and Justin -- instead of being in a PT mill where you see the owner for maybe 5 minutes and then get shunted over to an intern. The exercises have been difficult, but THEY ARE WORKING. My knees barely pop, and if one does pop, the ache is gone in 1-3 hours instead of 2-3 days. I am currently on an every 3 weeks maintenance plan with Justin (it is now mid-May 2017). Justin continually refines and updates the targeted therapies and exercises based on input from me. Another great thing is his use of Edufii. He has videod me doing my PT exercises and he then posts them to this app. I can log into my account and review the exercises to ensure I do them properly at home. Justin always answers questions in email or via Edufii in a very timely manner. I am very happy I have Justin Feldman as my physical therapist.
As a very active young adult, Ive run into the various sports-related injuries. Ive been to various PTs where I felt like just another number, shelling out co-pay after co-pay, sitting in a room with 10 other people for 2 hours at a time. I never felt quite like the diagnosis was accurate as I never seemed to get 100% better. Going on one year of lower back pain I was feeling helpless and wondering if I was going to have to deal with this forever. My first visit to Justin was one of the most mentally relieving appointments Ive ever had. He spent a great amount of time diagnosing my injuries, to the point where he knew exactly what was wrong and exactly how to treat it. At that point, I knew I had the ability to get better if I followed his plan and after just a few visits to him, I was finally free of pain. Ive since been back for gate analysis, where after 3 weeks of running the way he instructed, I PRd my 5k and never felt better.
Highly recommend john he really knows his stuff, can relate to any sport and takes the time to break things down with you.
John Nunez is awesome
