We really wanted a wood burning insert like our old home but I wasn’t having any luck at the local dealers finding one that would fit. Been using him ~15 years on heirloom grandfathers Chestnut Hill stone 1929 home-- this guy is worth every penny. Hell only do it right. Dont ask him to cheap out on a job-- he wont compromise. We first contacted them when we suspected problems with our firebox. They performed a thorough inspection and supplied a report that was very descriptive, with photos and recommendations. A recently bought a house, and having the chimney inspected was one of the first things I had on my list. My house had a roof leak, which was later determined to be a result of the poor condition of the chimney, so this needed to be taken care of sooner rather than later. At first, I went through my oil company, which has a bunch of other services underneath it. The chimney company they sent out quoted me at around $4,000 to redo the chunk of the chimney in my attic (to plaster it, for reasons unknown, seemingly). That didnt sit well with me, so I reached out to Antrims for a second opinion. And, my goodness, Im glad I did.The representative at Antrims went about all the components of my heating and chimney, and came back to my to describe how everything worked and what my house needed really needed. To say the least, the company my oil provider sent out completely misidentified what was wrong, and Antrims fixed it completely. It turned out that my chimney needed to be repointed (its stone), and it would be fine after that (luckily, the internals of the chimney were deemed to be in fine shape).What really sold me on their service, however, was how informative the process was. The representative described how my heating system (oil and fireplaces) interacted with the chimney, what all needed to be done and how to fix the leaking problem I was having, and what improvements I could make to increase the usefulness of my fireplaces in the long run. Without a doubt, I am so glad I called and got a second opinion with Antrims, and I will be using them for all further maintenance with my fireplaces and chimney.

We had chimney fire and the fire company had to come Turns out our fireplace was not safe to use as they found high heat levels in the wall above the fireplace. Antrim came and gave us a few options on the best way to make the unit safe to use again. They are very knowledgeable and I have no reservations using our fireplace (we use it a lot). As first time homeowners, we recently hired Antrims Complete Chimney Service to clean the chimney after our first winter with a wood stove. The chimney technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous, and arrived promptly for the appointment. He was very thorough in performing the cleaning and inspection, and took care to ensure that no dust or soot got in the house or on our furniture. After the inspection was completed, he informed me that there appeared to be evidence of a chimney fire having occurred recently, and that it was likely that the chimney flue was damaged as a result of the fire. He suggested that I follow up with my home insurance to see if the damage would be covered under my policy.After I started the insurance claim, Nathan Antrim (the owner) was great at helping us understand the insurance process and took time to proactively address several potential issues to avoid delays in the repair process. Nathan worked with the claims adjuster to ensure any questions about the provided repair estimate were answered promptly. When the insurance company sent a third party consulting company to investigate the damage and provide an independent report, Nathan took time out of his day to meet and speak with the investigator to clear up any confusion about the extent of the repairs required. Based on the investigators initial understanding of the damage, it is clear that the process would have taken much longer had the investigators report been completed without a full understanding of the scope of the damage.We also purchased a new wood stove to have installed while the chimney repairs were being completed. Nathan answered all of our questions thoroughly to help us understand the best stove for our home and our needs. Once we selected a model we liked, he made sure that the stove we selected would fit properly without any clearance issues.The actual repairs were completed in less time than was estimated, and all the employees were very respectful of our home and did what they could to make the process as least disruptive as possible.We were extremely pleased with our interactions with Antrims throughout the entire process, and would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for regular chimney maintenance or something more significant.

An honest & reliable company. I chose Antrim s Complete because they were very knowledgeable about older houses. They came and removed my 125+ year old crumbling chimney safely, swiftly and expertly. They were courteous and even had a worker on hand who had expertise in roofing, so the hole where the chimney used to be is now totally covered and shingled as if it never was there in the first place! The other good thing about Antrims was they have really good communication and let you know exactly what they are doing. When they were done the job, they cleaned it all up and made sure I was satisfied with the result. I would recommend them hands down as a go-to company for anything related to chimneys.

I had the BEST experience possible with Antrims chimney service. They were right on time with my initial evaluation. Tristan was super thorough with his inspection, asked all the right questions, listened carefully to all my input and expertly diagnosed my chimneys problem of not having a liner causing condensation to seep through the bricks and bring moisture to the 3rd floor wall.
