I have worked for this YMCA for a year and a half and had to move due to the military, but I can say that the structure and organization this YMCA has is the best, I currently live in North Carolina and the YMCA I work for is very unstructured and unorganized, I felt at home and like family with the staff and management at the effingham county YMCA! They are the best YMCA! The YMCA up here is very unfriendly and very rude to not just their staff but their parents! But my effingham Y family will always be my favorite! You guys are awesome! KEEP BEING AMAZING!

In regards to their summer camp program Id highly recommend against sending your young child here. Extremely unorganized, unprofessional, piss poor communication and to be honest you can tell they could care less and dont want to be there. So if you were considering their summer camp for your child and wanted to check the reviews this is a heads up now to avoid and instead enroll your child in the other YMCA on High St. Night and day difference.

My kids love it here. I havent had any issues. Staff is great...and the director Ms. T loves those kids.

Great place to workout. Other members are focused on working out, but are still friendly with each other. Never a wait for a machine in the morning hours!

Great small community facility. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and the classes are not overly crowded nor is the equipment. Equipment is clean and in good working order.It is small, and equipment variety is limited. There is no indoor pool for fall/winter use. There types of classes offered are also limited and minimal, but again the few which are offered are fun and engaging.

Very small facility. Dated locker room. The pool area looked nice. The children that were there were having a blast. All the weight and cardio equipment is in one room which is very tight. Its probably functional for those that need that type of facility. For others. Its a little too cramped.

The staff here is great and I really appreciate having the YMCA in our community. Its a great place for the whole family.

The ppl in the shell was nice its like 10 churches on that street b very humble ppl on that street pizza hut is very clean yall n no i dont work there!!!!

I love my Y family and friends. Especially my Zumba instructors Dwayne Price(Mr.Makem Sweat), Sunday Gallagher Strange and my personal trainer Becky Allen.

I love coming here first thing in the morning on my off days. I get a warm welcome all the time :)
