Chartered a private cruise up the coast, they helped with planning, catering, hospitality and every aspect of service. Everyone involved in the operation was absolutely amazing, the vessel was clean and well kept, and it was a great experience. I highly recommend, and will undoubtedly be a repeat client. I honestly cannot overstate the level of compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Truly a great team of professionals who take immense pride in their operation!!

Great little two hour trip around portsmouth and part of maine. You get to see star 🏝island, and some other small islands, you learn about the 🦞 lobster business and the history of the area from knowledge captains.

Lovely boat ride out to star island! Ship was clean. Served light snacks and beverages. Plenty of seating. Nice narrator giving history of the harbor area. Only thing i wish is that we had longer on star island because its very nice.

We decided to take a boat ride for our weekly adventure. Touring Portsmouth harbor and surrounding Isle of Shoals. Which was a fishing community founded before the American Revolution. The island property has changed hands and uses over the generations.On the way we got to see where the US builds/repairs some of its submarines. The area is patrolled by armed naval security forces using M2HB 50 cal. Ahhhhh.....brings back memories of my old M60.One thing I found interesting is the entire area is dotted with lobster pods. There were hundreds of them.We had a great time on the ocean.

A delightful ride with a great description of the local sights by the captain. There are ample seat options and a bar on each level. The enclosed area also offer great views with the tall windows by tables. Overall an awesome experience before you even step foot on the island

A bucket list experience that everyone must do at least once. There are a variety of sailing options out to Star Island and the Isles of Shoals. Enjoy a nice beverage (adult or otherwise) on one of the decks, inside or out, and enjoy the views along the Piscataqua River and Portsmouth Harbor as you head toward the Isles. A voice over the PA system tells you everything you need to know about what you are seeing along the way. You may choose to have a walking tour while on Star Island or you can explore it on your own. Quite historic. A grand time. Highly recommended!

Wow, my expectations were high but this tour did not deliver. The tour guides on the boat did a good job explaining facts but once we got to the island thats when it all went downhill. They still choose to keep everything closed because of COVID so you cant go inside any buildings. But Im not sure you would want to anyway. The island is ran by a bunch of kids, its run down, dirty, trash all over the place. Really was a strange experience, I felt like I was on the island of Lord of the Flies. Definitely would never rent a cottage there or stay at the hotel. I peeked in all the windows of buildings and everything was run down and dirty inside. Too bad, island has potential but in the hands of kids so not an ideal spot to stay.

Had the honor to preform for a private party.Crew was so nice. Definitely want to take a trip for the fun of it!

The ship was very clean. The captain was very informative on local historical spots along the way and kept us aware of the sealife we may encounter. He did an excellent job at trying to minimize the waves to make the trip as enjoyable as possible.

Had amazing time

This is a classic 3-hour tour boat ride. The ship has three decks to choose from as you cruise to Star Island. You can get cold drinks such as soda, water and beer at the concession stand. While you are cruising to and from Star Island a historian provides a running narration about places and people in the area. At Star Island you can take a walking tour of the island to see several historic sites or you can relax on the large porch at the hotel. We enjoyed the entire trip.

Had a great time on a booze cruise. There was a live band, we saw the sunset, the staff was very friendly.

My husband and i did a little 4th of july trip around the islands. the boat was at 50% capacity due to C19 which was honestly the perfect amount of people and everyone was respectful about wearing their masks. we spent two hours on the boat and so many ppl were doing their own personal fireworks that we got quite a show. they go out far too, youre like oh wow im very much on the ocean!

Went on the Star Island day tour this past weekend with my wife, and we had a great time. Ive gone on many a booze cruise on the Thomas Leighton and have always had a great time. I look forward to coming back.

A fun day out to visit Star Island, with excellent narrated tour of all the shoreline sites along the way. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. It is a good idea to bring snacks and beverages since there are very few, if any, amenities on the island.

Very relaxing day on the boat to the oceanic hotel. I enjoyed the history narration during the trip. Not all trips include the narration.

Great transportation to the island

Went on the 2 he 45min cruise to the Isle of Shoals (no walking tour) and had a great time. Was able to bring my daughters stroller on board, great drinks from the bar, snack options, amazing staff. Captain was great, also stopped to check out a whale, dolphins, and seals we came across. Highly recommend this place, will be returning when we dont need a stroller anymore for the walking tour!

We had a great experience going to Star Island! The boat trip was nice with good views of the harbor. Got a decent amount of time to explore the island. Great spot on a warm day as it got quite cool after we left the harbor.

This ride was fine. The company screwed up in the end. They did not check the engine and when we were half way there the engine overheated. We had to turn around. There were no other boat rides that day and we had go home. They could not even dock.

Best way to celebrate the end of summer with a nice music & dance cruise. I come here every year. The night was beautiful.

Had a nice trip to Star Island. The narration and history was great. Wish there were a few more seats but stood to see the views most of the time anyway. Even got to see some dolphins!

Ive been on their boats a number of times - usually either the Challenger or the Thomas Laighton. They do a fantastic job and take care of the people on the boat. Also very knowledgeable about the history of the landmarks you can see from the water

We have our summer company outing aboard this incredible ship. Professional, accomodating and super fun. We opted for the private deck with a feast provided by Fosters Downeast Lobster and Clambake. Food was amazing and delicious, no one went hungry with this feast. The trip out was scenic and so full of history. The trip back at sunset was magical. I would recommend this trip for any function or just a few. How luck are we to have this great company and ship so close.

We took the Isles of Shoals Tour - the one that you do not get off the boat. The best part of the narated tour is the harbor. There is not really anything to see between the harbor and the islands, but the fresh sea air and sun are great.

Went to a bachelorette party during the 80s themed cruise and had a blast! Great music, smooth ride, inexpensive parking on site, and the ticket was well priced.

Ok. Pricey. Isles of shoals is a beautiful IIsland with a creepy cultish vibe due to the strange folks on the island. We havent stayed there and wont be.

I took my parents on the island tour - and left the boat thinking, what did I just pay for? The boat goes out to the isle of shoals to drop off passengers planning on staying there, then spends 30 minutes at the dock picking up more passengers and finally turns around and comes back to port. Makes you think some marketing person thought, how can we make some more $$ off of this ferry service?Not worth the money or the 3 hours of your time.
