I was driving down West Main Road one day in 2017 and saw the signs for Shellys shop. I gave it a shot and discovered that I had stumbled upon a barber with an old school work ethic and sense of service. Shelly is attentive, friendly, and has an excellent memory of who you are and what your style is. Shes talented at her job, takes pride in her work, and consistently has cut my hair to a high standard. I find her price to be a real bargain for a male haircut; it includes a straight razor on the neck and a hot towel. The perks, her attention to detail, and talent keep me coming back.

One chair shop, no appointments. Small shop but certainly a private owned business feel. Be ready for a wait because a quality cut takes time. Owner knows this so there is money put into furniture and entertainment to keep you comfortable while you wait. Soft couch, big tv, laid back feel. Dont come in a rush and you will leave happy with a good cut. $15 for a cut, $10 for a line up.

Ive been going to Shellys every 2-3 weeks for a year now and have never gotten a bad cut/beard shaping. About the only downside is that shes popular so at busy times expect a wait. She is a smoker (never in the shop) so if youre super sensitive to smoke I guess you might not want to go here. Personally I dont mind and have never found it to be an issue in any way. Im happy to give her a hearty recommendation.

Didn’t show up during posted hours. She needs to be more consistent OR hire another barber. Update** increased to 4 stars. Shelly has posted a cell number in the door that you can call if for some reason that the shop isn’t open during posted hours. That is very helpful! Amazing haircuts...however hours are hit and miss. She can’t be counted on to be there during the posted hours. Very disappointing.

I used to love this place, but then, Shelly didnt listen to how I wanted my hair, she cut it until I had the worst haircut of my entire life, then she blamed it on me.

Shelly is a great barber. Just drove from Providence to get my son a haircut... But Thursdays her hours have changed, she closes at one, just a helpful tip to save others my current aggravation.
