My project manager was Bobby. Hammer & Hand did an outstanding job on our major remodel from start to warranty follow-up.
Best experience I have had remodeling a home. I have done this several times and this was so easy I ALMOST want to do it again. We did both a kitchen update and master bath. Dan and his team are the best, they went above and beyond. I had originally planned to work with (and gave a deposit to which I lost) to the other big name in PDX. They were terrible, trying to sell me things I did not want. Dan and his team at Hammer & Hand listened to us and gave honest feedback and most important...accurate pricing and time lines. We would use H&H again and highly recommend to all.
Great company to work with ! Projects always look great. Hammer and Hand has a very smart team of professionals to work with. Strongly recommend !
When you need it done right, dont mess around-- call these guys. My giant front porch had a rotten floor and steps and was basically clinging to the house with thumbtacks and glue. H&H used creativity and some amazing carpentry to get it shipshape, and I didnt have to sweat the details. They also got it done in a week! This is a great outfit. Theyre easy to talk to and take pride in their work.
After a nightmarish experience with an unlicensed contractor, I turned to Hammer and Hand to undo a disastrous bathroom remodel. My partner and I had been without a bathroom for 6 weeks! Hammer and Hand mobilized immediately, produced an estimate and began work within a week of my first contact. We enjoyed the relationship with our project manager Kevin and lead carpenter so much that we engaged them to finish a long-delayed bedroom project as well, and are currently developing a basement remodel that will hopefully begin next month. We love our new bathroom and it’s cozy heated floor. Kevin and the crew were professional and reliable. They finished the project under budget and on-time. I highly recommend Hammer and Hand for any project, big or small. Thank you Hammer and Hand!
Its clear many have had a good experience with Hammer and Hand, but I did not. The subs that worked on my project were top notch, but my project manger was HORRIBLE. Id love to name him by name, but Im not sure I wouldnt be sued. The project management was almost nonexistent. My emails and phone calls went days (weeks sometimes) without being answered and out of desperation to get my project done, I ended up working with the subs myself. My project was small, and maybe this is why there was so little attention or consideration giving to it and me over the five long months it took to get it done. My advice, DO NOT use Hammer and Hand for a small project (or at all). My project manager dropped the ball over and over; it was amazing how unprofessional and ineffective he was. Im extremely resentful that I paid Hammer and Hands huge prices and in the end, the project got done not because of them, but despite them and their mismanagement.
