We used Columbia River Tile on our recent Counter Top Project. Crowleys Granite concepts recommended them.We are very happy with the work done by Columbia River. Jeff was very responsive in terms of turning around quotes, scheduling the project and keeping us informed as the work was being done. They arrived on time as promised and completed the project on time.We chose a diagonal pattern in our tile back splash which requires more detail in measuring, cutting and spacing. Columbia River Tile & Stone recently removed the backsplash tile in our kitchen. Alex did an excellent job installing white subway tile with a light gray grout. He was meticulous in getting perfect grout lines and cleaning the finished product. We will use Columbia River Tile & Stone for any future tile work we have done.

I highly recommend Jeff. He did a tile install in a difficult small bathroom and it turned out great. The work involved tearing out a Terrazzo base, repairing some lathe, and custom cutting the base tile. It looks fantastic but took creativity and talent to pull off.

Columbia River Tile & Stone installed new tile and niches around my tub in my 1928-era bathroom. Jeff walked me through the process before they even got started and made sure I understood all the details of the work. Since my tub is original to the house, I wanted to protect it and Jeff and his crew went above and beyond, making sure nothing happened to it.I chose very simple white tile and a couple of niches. Columbia River did an immaculate job! They worked in my house while I was at work each day but I never had to worry about a mess - they cleaned and vacuumed everyday. The tile is beautiful, set perfectly, the grout is tidy and exact, and the niches are wonderful. Jeff and his crew did an outstanding job of installing our backsplash tile in the kitchen. It was a tough task since the wallboard had to be replaced and some tough corners had to be cut and fitted. It was done perfectly and professionally. The kitchen has an entirely new look thanks to Jeff’s creativity and workmanship.

Absolutely PERFECT tile work. We used hand glazed tiles. Jeff laid out everything perfectly so it is all evenly distributed. And advised on grout color. These were our dream tiles! And all we notice is their beauty, nothing wonky or nothing we wish we could have done differently.

Columbia River installed stacked stone around a large fireplace in our living room. They knew how to cut, arrange and bevel the various pieces for a professional finish. I could not have been more pleased. They also did a wonderful job replacing our kitchen backsplash tile. The end result was beautiful with absolutely no signs of the old tile or any damage to the existing drywall or cabinetry. I would not hesitate to recommend them or hire them again.

All in all, a very satisfying experience. Jeff Occhipinti and his quite skilled assistants did an exceptional job. The attention to meticulous detail, and even creating an unexpected, painstaking pattern grain/vein flow, in placement, was something I enjoy seeing every day. The supplier showroom provided for material choices was sensory overload, but the professional guidance there made it a very satisfying experience, as well. I cant imagine a better choice, and have highly recommended them, several times.

Columbia River Tile and Stone completed a tile job for our fireplace. They were professional, on time, and left the work area clean when done. During our project we encountered a problem with one of the tiles we selected (not Columbias fault, it was an error in order by tile shop). They worked with us to account for this problem, and we had to wait for new tile and reschedule. They were very courteous. We would use them again for future tile projects.

The project involved taking a bunch of salvaged tile and getting it to work in an aesthetically pleasing and functional way. Jeff is a thoughtful, careful and extremely knowledgeable craftsmen. This was a difficult endeavor on a concrete terrace of a high rise condo. I interviewed two other tile people and they did not understand what had to be done in connection with this type of installation. Jeff did. He guided me to a source that would provide the kind of slate that would enable me to get a lasting and beautiful job. He understood little nuances that others overlooked such as the placement of a gas line that served a grill placed on the terrace. You will enjoy working with Jeff and you will, based on other bids I received, pay no more for his expertise. He also led me to an excellent designer for the bathroom I wanted to remodel. His work was timely and completed on schedule.

From our initial consultation, he had lots of good ideas for improving the project and troubleshooting potential problems. Jeff Occhipinti and crew are so many things (ALL GOOD!) that we have to list for you the following important points:Point 1) Jeff has throughout the process been extremely helpful, quick to respond, and he even educated us about all things tile.Point 2) Jeff always either answered the phone when we called or got back to us right away. We know how rare this is and we really appreciate his availability, especially during the process of tiling two sets of outdoor staircases.Point 3) Jeff met with us more than once to make sure that he understood what was desired, and then kept in touch with emails back and forth to formulate our final decision after we waffled back and forth a few times. I am sure he loves people that know exactly what they want as well, but he tried to help us in the decision-making process rather than exhibit frustration at our indecision.Point 4) We experienced a delay in the arrival of our main tile shipment and Jeff worked his schedule so that he could still do the job, even picking up the tile himself when the delivery was going to be delayed!
