I only wish I wasn’t limited to 5 stars, because I wish I could give him 10.He was recommended to me by a really good guy who has worked at a car parts store for decades who knows a lot of mechanics. He said The Wizard was, hands down, the best. He was right.First, he really cares.Second, though his hourly rate is competitive, it is so obvious that he not only puts a lot of work into finding parts at rock bottom prices but that he only charges for the time it actually took him to do a job.I’ll take that further. I believe he is so conscientious, that if a job was supposed to take two hours and he did it for one, he charges for that - and if it takes longer than he projected, he will only charge for what he said it would cost.Third, he is so smart that the chances of identifying the real problem and not wasting money on more are exceedingly high.Forth, he does what he promises to do in the time it takes to do it.I noted a comment from another reviewer that said he was the most intuitive mechanic he had ever known. I second that observation.All round, you cannot go wrong with The Wizard and you will be in for a real treat dealing with an exceedingly nice human being.

While my town Talent, Oregon burned down, I evacuated to Portland. My car broke down on me when I arrived. After an outrageous quote from the subaru dealership, I bought the parts from OReillys & was given Dustins info for mechanic work.I brought him all the parts Subaru said I needed to replace. When I went to pick up my car, Dustin said he salvaged my hubs and just replaced the bearings. I was able to return the purchased hub and get my $125 back thanks to him!My car is running great now thanks to him. Dustin is a Machine Wizard for sure!

Dustin was amazing!! He charged me almost $1000 less than Lexus to replace the started in my LS460. He had it done within two days and stayed open after hours for me to be able to pick up my car when I got off work. Dustin is the unicorn mechanic that few of us even dare to dream exists in the world. He is completely no BS, up-front, and clearly knows his stuff.
