I grew up with my Dad doing all my car work (oil change, new tires, diagnostics, etc) so moving away from home was hard to have to find a trustworthy auto shop. Trustworthy being the key word....I felt totally taken care of here. Pat was incredibly helpful and consultative about the entire process. My brakes had been squeaking for a while so it wasnt a surprise when he said he would recommend getting them done. I had an oil change and my brakes done here, all at a great rate (compared to other shops). He even went above and beyond to check around for a door for me because I have minor cosmetic damage on my passenger door from a small fender bender. Brandi is the front desk gal and super helpful with scheduling. Had a chance to chat with Louis, another mechanic, for a while too, nice guy! Overall, you can trust that the job will get done, for a reasonable rate, and meet great folks! Thanks all!

Ive purchased one of their car care/discount cards over the last year for $50. Ive used it to get oil changes, and take off some of the labor cost.I am planning on not going back here. The lady at the front desk - Im sure theres a lot of cars - but she doesnt seem to remember who I am or remember the car that I have every time Ive gone in there. Which isnt totally a deal breaker. However, Ive had to be the one to call the shop to find that my car is finished and ready for pickup. Also, the time to complete something like a simple oil change takes hours. I understand they might be busy, but they need to say what a realistic timeframe is, instead of telling me it will take about an hour., and then it takes three hours. I scheduled out an oil change for months in advanced, and just cancelled it. They seem really busy, but because of the repeated things that feel a bit off, Ill not be going back here.

Had a 10am appointment. No longer have receptionist. Finally a mechanic walked in and told me to write dow what I wanted done. Said there was 3 jobs ahead of me, and that he had to pick up his girlfriend. Job was finished in just over 2 hours. Broke down at 6:52pm. Called shop and they said theyd send someone out. Kept stalling and finally sent someone at my location at 10:13 pm. It was 95 degrees that day and I was stuck off highway that whole time. He removed approximately 3 quarts extra oil! No wonder I had huge plumes of exhaust coming out! I since found out that they have new management!

Awesome, friendly service.As I was leaving after my last oil change they flagged me down because I had a brake light out. Even though my appointment was over they offered to change it for me for half of what it would have cost me to buy the bulb and install it myself.Great service. Really personable office staff and mechanic.

Recently changed ownership so they are still working out the kinks but everyone seems really willing to make the customers happy. My personal experience was not their fault and once we discovered it wasnt fixable they refunded my money which im grateful for. Seems like there are some very qualified mechanics and the hours are super flexible, my advice is to speak with the boss and the reaffirm your situation with the receptionist who was amazing and very empathetic to my frustration and be specific about your problem and set up a definitive timeframe for the work performed and im sure you will be satisfied.

The people were nice. But I was sick and really needed my car fixed, so I told her go ahead once I heard the price of the part. When my husband got the car and gave me the bill, I was sicker.Their work hourly is outrageous. Ive worked in an industry that uses auto repair on a daily. Thank goodness they forgot to change my oil like I asked them to.Ill take a dirty, grumpy mechanic over the price for nice any day. Disappointing.

Great auto repair shop gets the work done right the first time thnks to pat

I can hardly schedule an appointment, they never pick up the phone. I leave voicemails, and when I got work done to my car I saw them only work on it for 15 min and charged me for one hour. If they are so busy they need more mechanics instead of jamming a bunch of cars in and doing a poor job.

They will chase unnecessary steps to rack up a massive bill before fixing the issue. After getting my vehicle back I took it to another shop and they said that my tie-rods had been ruined in the process of their work creating a undrivabled hazard to me, that they failed to mention. Dont expect them to call you about updates, you have to call them, if they even choose to answer the phone.

Do not go here. They have taken on more then they can chew! A small one hour job took them days

I brought my truck in on October 1st. I was told they would look at it the next day and would call and tell me what was wrong. Then they don’t call me so I had to call them...then they said they have to order parts I said ok that’s fine . Then they said the part will get there by the end of the day. Then they said a customer with a warranty has to be serviced before me.. this is almost a week later... the best part is I kept calling to see What’s was going on and they kept telling me it should be ready first thing in the morning and then just ignored me completely. The reason I know they ignored me because they didn’t answer when I called but then I used my wife’s phone number and then they answer...... then they said that the next morning it’s should be ready...!!! If you are too busy... just tell me that so i could find a shop that can service me on time. I lost money because that was my work truck that day in there for a damn week... worst service and my truck still runs horribly

They confirmed my transmission is fried. They let me leave car on their lot over the weekend, while I assessed my options. Ultimately, I towed home, probably to donate it later. I appreciated their honesty about price and lengthy wait for a replacement and graciousness in allowing me time to decide.

Bought a coupon book. had two oil changes without incident. went for my appointment for the third on time, was told they were backed up. Ill be an hour. Ok, sure. Waited an hour, car hasnt moved. Was told they waiting for oil, Im up next. Wait half an hour, car hasnt moved. I left with a whole lot of nothing. Just be honest so I dont waste my day.

Bought an Americans Car Care Plan from Groupon (8 oil changes and other coupons for diagnostic and repair services) and wasnt sure what to expect. I thought to myself After years of driving past the yellow building Im finally going to be a customer, lets give it a go!. Long story short, my husband and I both have been in for oil changes and a few other services within the first 6 months. I am pleased with the communication I get from Katie at the front desk and for the integrity of Jason in the shop. If they say it will happen or not, it will...or they will let you know. My ONLY quam is that it took 2 different visits to figure out the main culprit of my squeakiness was my back brakes and rotors (which I THOUGHT they looked at the first time around) To save precious money, my husband did those himself. ***I recommend being completely detailed on what you want looked at when going in for diagnosis, the shop seems pretty detail oriented but 1 track minded.*** Keeping my review@ 5* because of how easygoing and honest they are.

I purchased a car plan (coupon book) from one of their representatives selling it door to door. Always risky I think, but my experience has made the risk all worth it. I have brought my car in for 2 oil changes and had great service and no problem using the coupons. Honestly it is such a good deal, I am not sure how it is possible. I had them check out some other issues with the car and will be trying them out for more extensive repairs. Again the coupon book will come in handy with saving me money on those repairs. I have been completely satisfied with the company.Update: I took my car in for a gasket replacement on the oil pan and used the coupons with no issues and it cut my total bill in half! Huge savings! My oil was so clean when they returned my car that I thought there was no oil in it. I could barely see it, but it was because they did so good a job on cleaning everything, there was no residue what so ever. Very good service and I will be going back to them.Update 2: Still very impressed with the service and response. Used the card again and received replacement wipers for the car, no questions asked and on the same visit, one of the mechanics took a quick look at my cars idling issue and gave an attempt to fix it. So far so good on the fix. I can easily recommend this place of service.

Jason was very generous with his time on a Saturday morning when I called just before the shops posted closing time. Needed a jump start down the road at my motel & he came out after closing up & got me back on the road. He also had the best jump box Ive ever seen & advised that it appeared to be a alternator issue (which I had already begun to suspect) due to the way the voltage was reading.This guy didnt have to do any of this. Its Saturday... The shop is closed... His work done. As I said, very generous with his time. Im getting an alternator & taking it to him to install. All my future vehicle service needs will be done here as well. Im new to the area (within 6 months) & its great to find such an amazing mechanic so soon. Highly recommend.

Quality at this shop has diminished. Due to repeated problems with poor quality workmanship, missing obvious issues, and failing to take basic steps to ensure the safety of customers, this shop should be avoided.These are examples of recent major mistakes:1) Failed to check and test defective, low quality water pump - the pump failed and the car broke down after leaving the shop;2) Failed to tighten tensioner after replacing serpentine belt - this caused the belt to shred and the car to break down after leaving the shop;3) Failed to check coolant level after servicing the coolant system - this caused car to overheat and breakdown after leaving the shop; and4) Failed to torque suspension bolts after installing front struts - this caused the front end of rattle and vibrate when driving.Every time this shop worked on the car, it broke down and required a tow. After the third time, I called the owner to ask why this was happening. His excuse was that his mechanics did not check basic safety systems (like coolant level or brakes) because they did not want to up sell. Sorry, but if youre working on the coolant system, its not an up sell to check the coolant level.Unfortunately the dangerously insufficient quality checks at this shop have resulted in more harm than good.

I probably didnt need the top tier part for a 180,000 mile outback, but I didnt think to ask until the part was on order. Works great, and I just got back from a 2-week, 3,000 mile road trip across the Southwest with no issues, no smell, no sound, and better mileage. Thanks!

I took my vehicle in Tuesday morning with concerns about my AC and an engine noise. They checked it out, told me what it would cost and got right on it, getting it done before the end of the day. What a joke. Weve been going to J&S because we bought one of those Complete car care packages. I had to get the O2 sensors fixed on my Ford Escape today. I took the car in at 9 AM, and had them change the oil while they were in there. They called me at 10, said the oil change was done, and it would take them about three hours to fix the O2 sensors, and cost me a bit over $500. Ouch, but okay, I have to smog the car next month, so I guess I gotta do it. I go home, then come back around 1. They tell me they got the wrong parts, so its going to take another hour and a half or so. Fine, whatever. I walk around town, run an errand or two. I come back an hour and a half later, they had only just gotten the part and were getting started on the work. I wandered off and occupied myself further. At about 3:45, they called and said the car was finally ready. So I walked back to pick up my car. Well, it turns out that the price they had quoted me was assuming I still had some of the coupons left on the car care package, and that since I didnt, it was going to cost me over SIX HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DOLLARS. Easily $200 more than that repair should have cost. If Id known I was going to shell out almost $700 for these jokers to take up my entire damn day, Id have bought the parts on eBay for $75 and done it my own damn self. Never going back to these clowns again.

Jason is carrying on the honest, quality service provided to us by Mr. Kims Foreign Auto repair for over 20 years. Recently, when the alternator in my Scion went out after being replaced two years prior, Jason waived the cost of labor since the part only had a one year warranty. He had my car Ready for me within 6 business hours!

This was the most unprofessional place I’ve ever been. I’ve been twice to attempt to get my Oil changed both times I made appointments and they were more than half an hour late for me so I had to reschedule. Just to get an appointment took me three calls on three different days . The second time I went in my appointment was supposed to be at 9 AM when they opened and instead she had put me down for 10 AM which is something I for sure knew I would never do because I start work at 11. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake they blamed me for it . The place seems extremely on organized and unprofessional . Don’t go here and less you want to waste your valuable time on waiting for appointments that they either won’t be on time for or miss book You all together

Went to J and S to get a second opinion on my resurfaced head and one of their mechanics was very kind and informed we of what would work and what wouldnt. They gave me their time and showed interest and care, about and for my concerns. That was without me actually using any of their service but just advice. Good business and kind people.

I brought these guys my 92 98 Oldsmobile Regency Elite to diagnose and hopefully repair.When they finished diagnosing my vehicle they printed up an estimate with an extremely vague list on what the problem was.The labor cost looked suspiciously low. I didnt know allot about cars at the time so I asked what the price would be if I brought them the parts to simply have them replaced.With an expression that turned from a happy smile to nearly steaming I was given a new labor cost that more than quadrupled in size.Be very wary of this shop and be sure to ask the same question to be sure your not being swindled.

Stopped in for an oil change. Great service and price. They looked over the vehicle and made a couple recommendations but no pressure to get anything done. Will be going back for sure.

Took my car to another garage first and was told that it could cost up to $2000 to repair. However, the car was not worth that much in value. Just for kicks I decided to get an estimate from these guys. I even told them how much the other garage was going to charge me and how much it was going to cost. They took the car in and repaired it perfectly for only $300.00. The car is running perfect. Thanks for being honest and doing great work.

Came in to get a front end alignment done and was told they couldnt do it because some repairs were needed which is fine, they then told me that my rear brake pads had about 10% left and needed to be replaced soon. However when I took my car to Les schwabb for a free brake inspection they informed me that contrary to what I have been told at j&s that my pads were at around 70% and it would be quite some time before they needed to be changed. So always get a second opinion before letting this shop work on your car because clearly they are trying to drum up business by misleading customers .

I’ve never been to the shop, but someone from the business came to my door to sell some sort of package deal. I declined to buy it (because I just don’t buy stuff from solicitors. Period.) I was considering coming to his shop, though, until he stormed off my front porch mumbling under his breath because I didn’t give him cash then and there. I tried to call the shop directly to complain, but they didn’t answer so here we are. I am ALL about supporting local businesses, but based on the “customer service” I just received on my doorstep, I will not be supporting this one. Yikes.

Took car in for an alignment oil change and tire rotation. They did those things. They also tweaked the plug on a headlight making it non-functional, broke the wiper switch and stole my portable jump starter.

Not happy at all. I got a new Jeep and they rebuilt the front end. A few days after I got it, it started making sounds like a CV joint or ball joint was bad so I took it back to them as they stand behind their work. Welp, about 3 days after that it started to make the sound again. At this point I was a wee bit concerned but didnt think too much on it. Maybe a stripped bolt or my sound system caused it to shake loose. What ever. I took it to a different mechanic today and he found that the passenger sway link was not attached at all. It was just hanging there. Along with that the bolts that they were using, were not the right parts. They were the wrong size and not the same as they were on the other side. Needless to say, they overlooked the issue that you could see plain as day from standing under the car, that they had raised. Not happy at all.

These are the people I trust to keep my 91 Honda Accord alive. Theres not much on a Honda thats inexpensive to replace, and you can certainly find a cheaper oil change, but I dont want anyone else touching my car. The value is here.
