I was so pleased with my experience at Art of Maintenance. I needed my radiator looked at due to a crack, but my A/C was also not working. James called me soon after I left the car with a clear assessment and plan. The car was ready to go by the end of the day! He showed me the damaged parts he pulled out of the vehicle and I was on my way with a fixed car! My A/C even works now! (James drove it around more than once to be sure). I was impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and respect this shop has. And the front office is so pleasant to be in!
I brought my car into the shop due to a condensation clogged and the same day i turned it in I noticed the light for a tire that was a little low came on. The tire is fine but I was interested to see if they would put some air in the tire and they did not. They fixed my main issue so good enough in my book, but wish they helped a little more for the amount paid.
Art of Maintenance was quick and professional. I needed my alternator replaced in the middle of a road trip and they were able to get it done within hours. Great service and very nice people!
AOM charged us over $1,400 to make our camper van road trip-ready. Day one of our trip the engine starts smoking. A mechanic in MT took five seconds to identify the issue as rusted out clutch fan, something a cursory inspection under the hood would have revealed. Apparently our $1,400 paid only for AOM to refill fluids and not a basic engine inspection. The van continued to have issues on our drive. When we stopped again we learned that in replacing the transmission fluid (which probably shouldn’t have even been done), AOM way overfilled the transmission fluid, which caused the engine to overheat, the pump to fail, and a whole other series of problems. So in addition to poor service, they actually damaged the vehicle. When we returned to Portland we notified AOM of the issues their negligent services caused and offered the chance for them to compensate us. In response…complete silence. So much for that BS service guarantee they put on the bottom of their bills.
We used to go to Art of Maintenance when the previous owners had it, about 9 years ago. We liked their work so much, my husband took all of his company’s vehicles there too.It was a nice couple. Wife operated the office side, husband did the mechanical work with a great group of guys. They were SO HONEST, often not even charging us to look it over before starting work. When they did need to replace something, he would take us over to the car, show us the issue/part, then when they pulled it out and replaced it, he sent us home with the old part - showing us exactly what was up. We always learned something after work with him. Often, he would tell us not to replace something and just go with it until it really needed changing. No charge…The new man who bought the business about 9 years ago is HORRIBLE. First time we went in, we explained how pleased we were with previous owners’ business approach, long time customers. New owner said he hoped to earn that same level of trust. Nope!! First time in for general oil change and regularly scheduled tune up, he came back with an astronomical price, and pushed us hard to go with his “customized” monthly maintenance plan. Ick!!! We took it elsewhere, and they commented that our car was in great condition. Really bad experience with Art of Maintenance. I feel badly that he has tainted what was such a great neighbor asset. I strongly recommend no one patron this new owner.
So I bought an old van (1997) to convert to a camper van and these folks have been great at helping me get this old thing road ready. I have more items to fix as my budget allows and this is where I plan on getting all the repairs done. James and Conner have been particularly nice to have on my side. Thanks guys.
Ive been using Art of Maintenance for tire services for years. Theyre great. Recently found 2 nails in my tire on a Sunday afternoon, dropped the car off at the shop and they got it fixed the next morning. They periodically text me to ask if I need any services. Highly recommended for trusted car service.
Would recommend shop. A+ on quality of work. 3 stars because I set the inspection appointment for a morning time a week in advance. Instead of reading my book in the lobby, they said they couldnt get to it till later afternoon, so I had to Lyft home. They also charged me $80 for an oil filter... Its a late 90s Dodge worth $3,000 KBB, get outta here.
Great service and friendly staff. Helped me get some answers on a mysterious slow tire leak and recycled my rotors which had been living in my trunk for months!Definitely would recommend their work and customer service. Thanks Art of Maintenance!
Great shop! Very helpful with keeping my older high mileage vehicle on the road. Great communication. Keep up the good work guys!
Came for a minor seatbelt issue and was helped right away, free of charge! Very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!
Would definitely recommend. Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable of what the issue was with my truck. They had me back on the road in no time.
STAY AWAY UNLESS YOUR LOADED $$$$Yep, said they were going to replace my rotors/brakes because they needed it. I said, sounds great lets do it. A month later I hear squeaking sound in my wheel area. Turns out they replaced my rotors/breaks alright... two of them. Charged me about 2.5K for two new rotors and sets of brake pads. They discovered a caliper issue when I took it back... wanted to charge me another thousand. I obviously took it to another mechanic who charged me $600 for 2 new sets of breaks and a caliper. That place was Cookes Brake Services by the way. I genuinely feel very upset with the Art of Maintenance people. I feel like they did me dirty.
We’ve had our cars serviced here 3 times now and I continue to be impressed by their knowledge, timeliness, and communication about what is wrong. Great experience every time!
Got me in and out the same day. All four new tires and an oil change. Easy process throughout and good communication.
They always do a top notch job and leave me with a car running better than before! I’ve used them ever since moving to Portland and I plan to stay with them!
We use Art of Maintenance for both of our vehicles and love their service! Clean, friendly, and personable. Its so nice to be able to take your car to someone you can trust, who obviously takes pride in their work and their small business.
This shop did a great job 😊 Thank you
Came in and to asked some questions Kevin and Conner both answer the questions for me I had them do an inspection on my brake system. The price was right so I went ahead and have them do it and I also got a great warranty three years 36,000 mile nationwide warranty matter fact. I will be back and recommend everyone I know to go see this guys .
Was overcharged to have an inconclusive diagnosis of the problem. On my paper it said what they suspect the issue was. Extremely unhelpful.
Obtained a replacement wheel for a wheel that was stolen from one of our cars. Service was quick and friendly and provided accurate detailed estimate before the service was rendered. The replacement wheel was an exact match for the stolen one. The car was thirteen years old.
TL;DR steep prices, poor quality parts and poor install, disappointing customer service.I went here because the reviews said that this shop is reputable but it turned out to be anything but that. My car issue was a minor one so I am posting this review because I would hate for someone to get major work done here and have the experience that I had and then be out of a lot more money.A eputable mechanic that Ive had great experience with that you should try instead: Bradshaws on Hawthorne (I would have gone here but I needed work done last minute and they couldnt fit me in).The long version:I took my car here with a cylinder misfire and I was told I needed to change out a spark plug and coil. The coils were brand new but the mechanic, Ron, said he wouldnt do the spark plug without the coil, and quoted me almost $300 for the work. I knew at the time that this was well above the average price but needed the work done quickly before the holiday weekend so I agreed (he also quoted me $900 to replace all of them, which is absurd). When I picked the car up he also told me my serpentine belt and cabin filter needed to be replaced, and quoted me $260 for both, which was also absurdly expensive and I wound up getting that work done by a different mechanic for less than half that price. The next week I was getting my spark plugs changed elsewhere and had to pull out the one he installed to make sure it was the same type as the others. As the coil was coming out it FELL APART into 3 pieces and needed pliers to get it out. Then the mechanic found that the spark plug had been cross threaded in there. The mechanic looked at the coil and said it was the equivalent of cheap, Amazon quality parts. When I called the shop to tell the owner and mechanic what had happened, I was told that I because I didnt bring the car back and had the part removed by someone else, they would do nothing. I said that I didnt expect there to be any issues with the coil or plug when I removed it, especially considering the steep price I paid for the work, and that it is ridiculous to expect me to bring it back to do what I thought should have just been a simple inspection. But the owner and mechanic spoke really rudely to me and refused to acknowledge any fault. This is exactly why people distrust mechanic shops.
A big thanks to Kevin and the guys who worked on my sons Subaru. Im thrilled that when I send him back to college, he wont break down on the freeway. Head gaskets are nothing to fool around with, and I appreciate the thoroughness in checking out everything else.
Always fast, courteous and professional. Ive visited for tire repair several times over three years and have never had anything less than stellar service.
They took care of some coolant leaks for my truck. Thank you every thing and everything went great I will be back!!
Referred here by a friend who has been having her truck fixed by Art of Maintenance for years. They were clear on their policies of sanitizing touch points--which at this time is important and was much appreciated. They were helpful on the phone, got me in next day, and had everything fixed up within a few hours. They provided great work that felt fair & friendly. I plan to come back here for any mechanical needs.
Not satisfied. Paid to much money on something I told them what was wrong with my truck. They so call fixed it on Friday last. Drove it to my job same day. Got off truck wasnt running no more. It sat in front of my job for 3 days. So I paid $679 plus another $220 and my truck still isnt running. Guess what it was the fuel pump all along like I said in the beginning. Now they want to charge me $1700 to fix..
After looking at the Google reviews, I contacted Art of Maintenance when the clutch went out on my car last week. They were very friendly and it was close to my house so I had my car towed there. In the afternoon they contacted me with a bid that was more than TWICE the average price I found when I googled the cost of a clutch replacement. It was an astounding amount. I am not one to get a second opinion but could not in good conscience go with this estimate without calling around. I called the dealership and they estimated it would be less than half of AOM’s quote. I knew from the reviews (and from my tow truck driver’s warning) AOM is sometimes more expensive and I always try to support small local businesses whenever I can... but ended up having my car towed to the dealership because I couldn’t spend more than $1000 extra just to support a small business. After I made this decision, I was contacted by the manager who wanted to understand the discrepancy in estimates. In that conversation he told me he could possibly go as low as $800 less than the original estimate, which seems totally disingenuous. Why not just bid that in the first place? Then they charged me $113 for the estimate which included a full inspection of my car - which was not at all what I wanted since it had recently been to my usual mechanic. As a non-mechanic I have to trust that a place isn’t going to take advantage of me. I want to give these guys the benefit of the doubt but I want folks to know that this was my experience so they can avoid spending way more money than necessary like I almost did.
Extremely fast service. Took my car in and they had it fixed the next day
They worked on my 2003 lexus ES 300 thanks for the work that was done
Quality service! Kevin and the staff were friendly & done in a timely manner. Will come back again!
My car started to over heat and shut down on me. They figured out what was wrong and got it back on the road for me . Thank you
Was stuck out of town in the snow, Kevin and the guys got me in and found my problem and got me back on the road the next day. Great place thank you thank you
I have had a variety of small and large repairs done on a 2010 vehicle over 2 years. I am very happy with the quality of work, service and general professionalism. I trust the team at Art of Maintenance and I waited until they had done a significant amount of repair work to make this judgement.
Great job tuning up my car.
Very happy with the service. They did a great on my car!
Great service they hand me in and fixed in 2 hours thanks Kevin
They had my car done in a day. They were professional and even helped me finance the repairs when I didnt have enough funds to cover all the costs. I will be using Art of Maintenance for any future repairs and preventative maintenance. Kevin was professional and kind.
Very professional and quick! Would definitely recommend
These guys were great when I fixed my mother in-laws car. However when I called them for a quote on a clutch they were hesitant to give much information without having a technician take a look first.I then asked about just labor I have a sports car and was thinking about getting a performance clutch. He said we dont use customer parts due to Warren.Such a shame, I thought I found a good place I could trust.
Took some time to find a shop to take my Mercedes for service D. after much research i felt confident enough to give the art of maintence my business friendly staff very porfesional
Conner at the front counter was a huge help. Appreciated!
Got the brakes diagnosed and replaced on my 1990 Mercedes. They did an excellent job diagnosing the brakes status, letting us know what was needed and then replaced as needed. They were timely, professional and didnt try to upsell us into more expensive work (a big, big PLUS!). Well be back.
Quoted me $2,800 for a water pump and timing belt job. This work at best is usually $1,300. Just tell me what about your service is so great that you can charge double the average cost? Also, after the diagnostic was done I had to return at a later date for they had forgotten to put the engine cover back on the vehicle. If ya cant manage that, but want double the average costs..? I wouldnt know or trust to have them pay attention to minor details. Good luck with that.Edit due to response:The job only took 6 hrs from another shop, and all the parts were changed in accordance and standards of Volkswagen. By your response your shop is almost 200 an hour?I have personally changed water pumps and timing belts on my own but currently due to COVID dont have a shop to do it in. Its a volkswagen, and doesnt require a degree in rocket science to do. Quoting $2800 is laughable, and I did laugh when told this quote.Oh, and I had to call you days later about the engine cover. Its not something you folks noticed until then. Stating same day is a skew of the actual facts of the situation. My only guess is that they thought because of my name that I was some ignorant woman that didnt know how to work on cars. Youre wrong in this situation in my opinion and way over priced.( docked another star for not being truthful )
I purchased a used vehicle and took it to Art of Maintenance to get a report on its health. They told me it looked in good working order. It broke down the next day and come to find out, the previous owner had run custom wiring all throughout the vehicle that was not up to code. Many parts of the fuel system were not in working order. The vehicle was in horrible condition and I trusted art of maintenance to give me a realistic evaluation on the vehicles health. I was disappointed to not have received that.Edit: I did do a pre purchase inspection, and none of these issues were noticed then. You also did not notice the turbocharger was wired around the wiring harness as I discovered months ago.
I have been put through hell when I comes to mechanics working on my vehicles, but not at Art of Maintenance. They got my vehicle in and tested the issues quickly, did the work right and made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. Every question I had they answered and made me feel like my car was in good hands. Now having my car back all of the issues have been fixed, and I have peace of mind. Car maintenance is not cheap but at least when you go to Art of Maintenance they make sure you get the best customer service with efficient and accurate work.Thank you!!
Ive trusted my 1996 Ford Ranger pick up to this shop for the last two years. Very efficient and trustworthy. Work is completed on time and heres a surprise, every once in a while Art of Maintenance will contact me to make sure my Ranger is performing as it should. Consider them.
We brought the car with check engine light on and paid over $700 for the replacement of the variable tumbler valve. When the light came back on two weeks later, we brought the car in again and were told that we need to replace the intake runner which is $2100. Because the communication with Kevin wasn’t very clear all the way from the start, we decided to have the car checked in a different place to get a second opinion. Turns out art of maintenance mechanic changed a different valve than the one they established needed to be changed. We went back and asked Kevin to look into in again; he agreed, not without us having to insist, and called a day later to tell us to “get the keys”. When we did so, we found out the correct valve was changed, which proves that the mistake did take place. For all the stress, having to deal with possible major expenses or even buying a new car, and not being able to drive for some extra days with the car in the shops, we did not receive as much as an apology from Kevin. Even more frustrating, unclear communication, not having diagnostic codes in the beginning, and not checking the work that had been done on the car after we brought in back the second time are some troubling signals that make us think the whole situation could’ve been a plan rather than a mistake. Very sad experience.
I had issues with a coolant leak. I was able to drop my car off late at night (using the key drop), they promptly got a hold of me in the morning with an assessment and quote, and everything was finished that day. Very quick, professional, and friendly staff.
Very quick and professional service. Were very helpful and got me sorted out very quickly. Awesome place!!
My experience with Art of Maintenance was one of the best Ive ever had in working with a mechanic! Kevin was honest, straight forward and got my car in and out for a great price and GREAT work. He understood what I needed and did just that. I will be using them again and recommending them to anyone who needs a good, honest and reliable shop. Thanks again guys!
Don’t go to this place unless your prepared to spend money. Only giving 2 stars because they were able to look at it same day I brought it in.Way more money than anywhere else nearby. I had a car window that just wasn’t rolling up. I had to go to 3 different places this morning. First place I went to, the guy was could tell the motor in the door needed to be replaced just by listening to it. He was booked up for a few days so I went somewhere else. The other guy around the corner took off the door and looked at it for free. He quoted me $300 to replace the broken motor. It seemed a bit steep so I checked out the art of maintenance hoping it be a bit cheaper. Not at all, they quoted me $600+ to replace the motor. Then when I came to just pick the car up, they charged $100 for them just to look at it. They claimed the labor was “electrical work” but funny how the other two places didn’t. So I’m left with a broken window still. The garbage bag they taped over the window while it was sitting outside in the rain was courteous at least. So if I was you I would try another place nearby if your trying to budget and not get overcharged for frivolous things. I mean $5 also for a hazmat suit to take the door off? Seems a little nuts
I brought my 2003 trailblazer in. They got me in right away. Which was awesome because its my work truck. They were able to finish up the repair that same day. I really appreciate the professionalism and quality of work. Thanks guys
Although its never easy handing over money for car repairs, I have always had a genuinely positive experience with this shop. The staff have gone above and beyond for me and my kid and made sure we were taken care of. James is kind and helpful, and Kevin has always been honest and efficient. I dont like going to the mechanics, but if I do, this is my go to.
I have been coming to Art of Maintenance for over 6 years. They have always done excellent work. As a female that doesnt know anything about car issues I never feel like they are going to take advantage. They explain the repairs so I can understand and let me know the cost upfront. They work with me to prioritize the repairs vs cost. They are great communicators as well. My car is a subaru. And the waiting room always smells really good! Ryan did and awesome job for me today and Kevin is always great!
Took my Husbands truck in for someWork. The staff was professional, Knowledgeable and friendly. Kevin called me and walked us through what needed to be done step by step. Service was quick and The price was very fair. We will be bringing our business back here.
My experience at AoM was really good. Very thorough and professional - even though my car is pretty old. The vehicle checkup was very well documented and should give me a great record for the future. Two thumbs-up!
Art of Maintenance is wonderful! Took very good care of me and my van when I had electrical issues. Highly recommend!
Woke up with a flat tire drove straight here. They had me in and out before I could get my Starbucks order from next door. Excellent customer service. Thank you guys!
These people know their cars, and have excellent service to match! They always communicate well and do fine work! I highly recommend the Art of Maintenance crew!
Kevin at the Art of maintenance went above and beyond. I was having a terrible time with my old mechanic who could not find or fix a clunking sound in my suspension. After spending a couple grand there I took my car in exasperation to The Art of Maintenance. After gong through the car they recommended several mother thousand dollars worth of repairs that I needed that the previous mechanic had not found. After getting my car back from art of maintenance, three days later I started having major electrical issues and was forced to pull my car into the first mechanics place of business, it was right up the street from my work which is where I was headed. I was out of cash at the time from all of the maintenance costs and a costly surgical procedure. My car had to sit for 5 months while I recovered. Luckily the old mechanic said they would taxi my car over to AOM. AOM also said that they would just charge me costs for the parts and not the labor. With the surgery and the major car troubles it was considerably stressful. I am glad to have the car back and it runs great. hopefully for another 30k at least!
I need my car for getting back and forth to work. So any problems that might come up is a major issue. I contacted Art of Maintenance and told them problem and my situation. I spoke to Kevin and he understood my situation. I was able to arrange for my vehicle to be taken to their shop where they quickly found the issue. Kevin called me back and gave the run down of the problem and the price of the repairs. The charges were reasonable and the repairs were done quickly and professionally. As a person who has over 35 years of customer service experience I can tell the difference between good and bad service. They delivered great service and was able to get the job done and me back on the road in the time they promised. I would use their again and recommend them as well.
When we arrived at Art of Maintenance (after waiting for 2 hours for our AAA tow truck) it was just a few minutes before they closed. Thankfully they were really friendly and helped us right away. Our car was ready to pick up the next day, and we couldn’t have been happier with the service!
Great service! They repaired my nailed tire so fast. Got in and out very quick. Thanks a lot!
We got a flat and they put the spare on for no cost. They told us that they were unable to source the tire we needed same day and that it would be cheaper to go to CostCo! They were so sweet and helpful. Very trustworthy.
Amazing group. Friendly, fast and very fair. I have used Art of Maintenance for two MAJOR repairs and have been very pleased both times. These guys know what they are doing! The first repair (an air conditioning problem) was looked at by three other shops; none could figure it out. These guys had it figured out and repaired in the same day! My second time (just recently) was diagnosed within hours and complete before noon the next day. My husband reviewed the prices of parts & labor and found they were an excellent. The mechanics listen intently (including all my it makes this noise sounds) and make sure they understand the problem before starting. I appreciate the attention to detail and will be using and referring to Art of Maintenance.
I love this place! Kevin was very up front and explained what all is involved in replacing an engine. They called every time they found something that was better, or wrong and offered me options. They kept me up to date with the progress and even cleaned my truck. They were very patient with me as I tried to make this huge payment with multiple accounts and even stayed after they were closed to go over what to not do, and what to do to maintaine the engine integrity. Thank you art of Maitenance
Kevin at the Art of Maintenance is the best. He always looks to save you money and still give you top quality service. They have always done a great job for me and my family. I have recommended them to several friends and I will continue to recommend them.
Poor communication, hidden fees, rude customer service and way overpriced - I will not recommend this spot or return.
My favorite, most convenient place to get my car fixed. Also the ability to text for help is hands down a game changer.
I just moved into the city for grad school and had been shopping around for a mechanic for my 4runner. A quick google search pulled up a few in the neighborhood, and out of the five that I called Art of Maintenance piqued my interest from the first time they picked up the phone. The staff was friendly and respectful; which in my opinion is a great first step in looking for a reliable, trustworthy auto shop. The shop is well organized and clean, I was greeted and checked in quickly. I had a minor repair that needed to be done and they got me in and out of there fast. I plan to go to Art of Maintenance in the future for all my auto needs.
Got a used Jeep Liberty that ended up needing a bunch of maintenance work that comes along with buying a used car, so I took it to Art of Maintenance and they fixed it up good as new. They were good about communicating what issues they came across and called to review the recommended services to get my OK before proceeding. The Jeep is working great now and luckily they are right down the street from my house so it will be convenient to take it there for oil changes, etc. going forward.
This is the only place I bring both of my cars to have work done, they are honest about what needs to be done and I also get a copy of the machine read out sent to my phone. The manager Kevin is knowledgeable has always taken care of any issue questions I may have and explains it so I understand unlike other place I tried in the past where they would talk down to me like Im just another dumb female bothering them. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have any kind of work done from a simple oil change to major work.
Awesome and honest
Excellent service! I always get fast and responsive service. Great communication.
Kevin, Ryan and the team at Art of Maintenance are tops!!! I have brought many jobs to them and they have never failed. Theyre helpful, informative, affordable and trustworthy! They respect my budget and best of all they have always been on time with their completion dates! I recommend them highly!!!
Great service...work was done in a timely fashion and even gave me a ride home while my car was being worked on. Loved getting the vehicle inspection link....very thorough.
I was referred to Art of Maintenance by a family member and I was not disappointed! The crew here worked quickly and efficiently. They are super friendly and helpful and they make a great effort to communicate well. I will definitely be going back with other auto needs!
Got me in quick, same day service. Car was fixed sooner than expected. Great customer service!
Kevin and his team are absolutely the best! They have the best customer service, best quality, and best value by far. They went above and beyond to take care of me and my car and I am so thankful. By far the best automotive shop in Portland, and if you’re thinking about stopping by then it’s definitely worth it!!!
Had to take my car in to the shop for repairs, They got me in and out in the same day with great customers service . THANK YOU KEVIN AND JAMES
Ive taken two of my old, abused, neglected cars to these guys and they have done a fantastic job. The price tag was $$$ but that was not really a surprise given the condition of the vehicles. They are professional, friendly and very thorough. Communication was great, I always felt like I knew what the plan was. The most recent vehicle was from 1989 and they went above and beyond to find, even fabricate, parts.Highly recommended.
Ive been taking my Honda CRV to this place for the past couple years. Before that I would take it to the dealer, but got fed up when the dealer could not diagnose a starter issue (it was a tricky problem but Art of Maintenance was able to figure it out). Art of Maintenance has top notch mechanics. They are very customer service oriented, easy to talk to, and I feel have always given me good information, and taken good care of my car. I have called around on some of the bigger repairs to compare prices and they are always competitive. Im super happy with this car repair place. I would recommend it to anyone.
These guys are great! They helped me out a few months ago as I was mid-move to Seattle and my transmission needed rebuilt in my Honda Fit. A quick 3 day turn around, great work, fair pricing with no hidden fees after service, and all around solid customer service! I highly recommend this shop for any car maintenance in the PDX area. They even covered my tow to the shop!
Kevin and his team at the Art of maintenance were awesome! They made sure I was kept in the loop of what was going on with my car during the repairs. They were very kind and just a great team to work with not to mention they got the repairs done in a timely manner. I will definitely be back next time I need work done and will be referring my friends and family to Kevin. Thanks again everyone!
These folks are the most professional, fair, and genuine mechanics in Portland. Would not trust my truck with anyone else.
5 STARS!!! These guys were AMAZING! I called with a flat the day after Thanksgiving, when every Tire Center was slammed, and Portland Tire Center squeezed me in short-notice and got me back on the road! My travel plans were maintained due to such great service! Thank You Kevin!
Everyone here is very professional and punctual, work is done right and for a fair price! Technicians are very knowledgeable.
Brought my car in needing some major repairs and they were able to help me out right away. Theyve been nothing but efficient and helpful making this process so much easier than I expected!
Timely and professional. They take far better care of my car than I do.
I dropped by today and they fixed my car super quickly! Very nice place and people.
Though quick and professional this place is crazy expensive. Got towed in so was stuck paying $995 for a refurbished starter for my 2002 SUV. Does this sound right to you? I called around after. I was gouged big time!!!
I took my car here because there was a noise coming from the front when I put my foot on the accelerator. They diagnosed this issue as a crackling sound from the speaker? They then further diagnosed the car and told me I needed brake calipers, pads, roters and a fluid flush at a total cost of $1300. Bargain right?I rang around to some other mechanics, took my car into another shop, who told me I have zero break issues and that the noise from the front is the alternator belt.So now I am $1100 richer!
I’ve been taking my cars here for years and have been happy with the professionalism of the staff and quality of service
Very helpful employees. Took my car in to have tires checked. They were understanding and quick on a busy day. I will be back again! Thanks, AoM!!
I love these guys. They go out of their way to keep in touch.
Great group of guys that do incredible work! will definitely be back
Been going here for years. They’ve kept my old Lexus running like new!
Just had them do some work on my work van and they did a great job .
We took our 2013 Chevy Sonic 1.4L, Turbo, to AOM for an inspection of output shaft seal & oil change. We chose them because we volunteer nearby, and they could work on our car while we volunteer. They provided us with an inspection report that included pictures. After reviewing the report and going over the potential charges, we authorized them to complete the recommended services, which included oil change, new spark plugs, brake fluid flush, fuel injection service, output shaft seal replacement, drain and refill manual transmission fluid and replacing all shocks and strut assemblies and rear springs. This cost $2,818.00. We were in a bit of shock at the price, but that being said, this car has never given us a bit of trouble since buying it new, so we decided this money was well spent. We have had all the manufacturer-recommended maintenance done at the dealer all along. A dealer may have charged as much or more. The services performed by AOM were needed as evidenced by the pictures they took during the inspection and during the repairs themselves. Our car is running like new, and the repairs are guaranteed for 5 years, 50,000 miles NATIONWIDE. So, yes, it was expensive and worth it. We feel we got our moneys worth. Thank you, Ryan and Kevin.
