The technician who came to our home on 8/26/21 was fantastic. Gave us good advice. Great communication, professional. Would recommend for sure!
Deserves 0 star!!! Sears Appliance Repair is incompetent and deceptive. You cannot get a customer service locally and it is impossible for them to actually repair an appliance after countless appointments and calls to customer service. The repair technician is a no-show after the customer service guarantees they will show up next time. Do NOT use Sears Appliance Repair if you have a choice.
In the past I had really good experiences with Sears home repair which is why I chose to work with them again. Unfortunately this last time I called to get my washer repaired I have gotten nothing but the runaround. They canceled my appointment 2 times then rescheduled me for 2 weeks later. The repair technician did not call before he came to my house. After diagnostics and payment was done. I called Sears back and they had no knowledge of the appointment but could see that payment was made. It’s going on a month since I first called Sears Repair and still getting the run around, I’ve spoke to over 10 different people and no one has been able to answer any questions or solve the issue and yes my washer is still broken and I’m over it.
Always have the parts I need
Update: they no showed for the follow up 😳😳😳Long story short- out $415, been seven weeks with two appts and one no show and no fixed problem. Long story: Called for washer repair and had to a wait a week. Thats long, but okay. Diagnosis appt I explained all the issues to the tech. He said it needed a new part that with parts and labor was about $415 total. Very spendy but we much prefer to repair then buy new and we went back and forth but he said we should get another five years out of it with the fix. We went ahead with it even though we had to wait three weeks for follow up appt. Tech came back today and fixed it. He said it worked great so we got started on our mountain of laundry. Only problem is the exact same problems exist and doesnt seem to be fixed at all. I called back and at first they said they cant even come look at it for three weeks, then they said they could come in 9 days. At the point I am losing hope they will even fix it and we will just be here six weeks later with a broken washer and out $415. UPDATE: they literally no showed for the follow up appt today. No call, no heads up, and no call after. I guess that’s the “warranty” level fo service? I had a 1-5 pm window and just called at 6:55 pm to check and they said “sorry we didn’t have a tech”. Not sure why we schedule then?? Will update again if it ever gets resolved. I did reach out to the FB below aper owner response, and last response was “sounds like you have a follow up” That was the no show today. ***I get its a luxury to even have this problem in the first place, but also want to write a review if others are trying to get appliances fixed **.
Very nice repair man. Its been at least a week since the initial visit. The repair on fridge/freezer has yet to happen. Surely wouldnt use this service agian.
Worse customer service ever. Came in to buy a fridge had one picked out and the person who moves things would not move 2 fridges cause they were busy. I was the only person in the store. If I could give them a 0 I would.
My freezer shelf is looks fine but I have a repairman coming on Thursday for the ice maker
My appliances only had their annual 2019 check up - all were in good working conditions. Lamarr did a wonderful, professional job. He cleaned and also gave me some tips on doing prevention things that might avoid a problem. He was identified as a Sears representative - on his shirt and also on the truck/van he drove to my house.
Although I have a little extra time these days, I still dont like to waste it waiting on hold for a closed business that didnt bother to change their greeting during the quarantine.
The necessary repair was made. I was impressed and appreciated thetech who serviced my washer..Professional, courteous, and caring.
It is a Sears outlet store where you can buy new appliances . They are always great service and great prices.
Outlet store does have great selection of appliances and beds
For a repair shop you think they would carry parts for sale. They do, but very limited. They didnt have what I needed and didnt know where I could find it. I mean, it was a dryer belt. How hard is it to stock them?
Everything went fine, except that the person I initially talked with to schedule a repair ordered the wrong parts, which I had to wait 2 weeks to receive and have the repairman come, in which he had to reschedule for another 2 weeks later to allow time for the correct part to be delivered. In all it took 1 month to get my stove burner replaced. This was a HUGE inconvenience because we have a household of 11 people, which made it very difficult to prepare meals in a timely manner. Both repairmen were very courteous, quick and informative though.
It’s currently closed
Had all 4 appliances get yearly checkup in one day, two different technicians. They ran a bit late thanks to Friday traffic and a late start in the AM. they had appointments scheduled for 8 to noon, but did not start until 9AM. The locations were not even close together, Gresham to NE Portland to Se Portland to West Linn, thats ridiculous, especially on a Friday. Once here, they were friendly, efficient and knew what they were doing.
My recent service repair on my dryer turned out awesome my dryer is working better then it has in some time. I am so thankful to be able have it repaired when something goes on with it with the extended service repair warranties that i keep on most all of the sears products that we have purchased for our homeThank you Sears for carrying such a wonderful warranties on your appliances
The tech came right on time and was very knowledgeable about my machine. It turned out it wasnt a huge issue after all, but he was very helpful in explaining how to prevent the problem in the future. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs repair on their appliances!
Not pleased with sears at all. My first time every buying any appliances with them, their was miss understanding on how the new washers worked gave then a call they came out nothing was wrong at all with my washer got a bill 6 months later for $103.00 for advisory< 103 just to tell me I had pressed a wrong botton. Now they deny disputing my charges.... HORRIBLE the guy was only 5 min in my house! NEVER again will I ever buy or call for their service... -unhappy costumer
Called to schedule a service repair and they transferred me to their contractor. The contractor was rude, sounded like he was better than everyone else and very incompetent when I asked about the model information he needed for the television he didnt know or recognized the brand LG which is a huge electronics and appliance maker. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME
Tech was personable and efficient. He checked for microwave leaks, which hadnt been done for several years.
There service center at this address or in Portland. Everything is automated through an outside company, maybe in India and good luck as they are no help :( Not your grandfathers Sears any longer
Our clothes washer wasnt working. The Sears technician came, identified the problem, and fixed it in under an hour. We are pleased with the service technician and the service outcome. The cost was comparable to other service providers in the area.
The technician was very thorough and helpful, polite and kind. My problem was fixed quickly. Thanks!
We had an extremely bad experience. We had purchased a water heater from Sears several years ago. We maintained a Sears warranty on the water heater. The water heater had to be repaired twice in a two year period. Our water heater is a gas forced air vented model. The contract repair company came to our home in about a day. The problems that arose were that the replacement heater took more than two weeks to arrive at our home. With other issues like interacting with less than competent clerical staff on the phone, we were without hot water for about three weeks total. Just imagine being held hostage to the provider of the warranty service and either just get another water heater or wait for the service provider to do their job. On top of that we needed to file a damage claim because the water heater was defective and leaked a huge amount of water onto our basement wall to wall carpeting. The carpet was ruined and Sears referred us to Sedgwick their loss mitigation provider. The person at Sedgwick took my information and told me that I would be contacted by another person to process the claim. After waiting weeks for a response, I called and left two voice-mail messages and three emails with Sean Maines, the Sedgwick guy and getting no responses, I sent Sean Maines an email threatening legal action if he didnt let me know what was going on. He called me back lied to me about a time period allowed for a response. He got me connected with the water heater manufacturer and upon speaking with the manufacturer I found out that he had sent an email to them stating that I had told him that I was not going to pursue a claim. I had never said or implied any such thing. SEAN Maines is either grossly incompetent, a liar, or both. I was furious with what he had done. I have kept my emails involving the trail of deception in this mess.I will not be buying any more products from Sears of any kind because of this experience. I highly recommend that you steer well clear of Sedgwick if you can. What a horrific experience overall.
