The Best gym I have ever trained at in the 30 years of working out. The owner and staff are beyond nice. The equipment is awesome! Jesus Christ is Hornered there and he has blessed the owner greatly with a top notch facility! A+
Great gym with plenty of machines and friendly staff. Prices are also affordable. I started there years ago when the fee was only $24/month. Prices have gone up a bit since then, but not necessarily a deal breaker. The best thing is that the gym is open 24 hours, so you can go workout anytime. Plenty of cardio machines and three squat racks. They also have two deadlift platforms, which is truly awesome. The only bummer is that they only have one bathroom stall, which in some circumstances can be problematic. Overall a great gym.
I love it here!! Its a great, clean place to workout. The daycare center is amazing!! My son loves it.
This is my second home!!!! I recommend everyone try this place at least once...
Great owner, great location, great selection of equipment, good lockers, nice people. Whats not to like? Fee weights, weight machines, kettle weights, aerobic balls, treadmills stationary bicycles, stairmasters, elipiticals, mens and womens shower and locker rooms, boxing equipment, just about everything. Amazing gym, clean, large, all the equipment you need.
This will always be my favorite gym.
Great place to work out AL the owner is a great person.I have been working out there for 2 yrs now and everyone is nice and friendly.
Good gym to go to. The owner is awesome and theres a wide variety of free weights/ machines.
Wish I could give zero stars but it won’t let me. The people here are impossible to work with. My company transferred me two hours away and when I contacted this gym about it to see what could be done with my contract they never would get back to me with an answer. So now I’m stuck paying a gym membership for a gym two hours away and the people here don’t care that I am unhappy with their services. I will never recommend this gym to anyone and I will personally never be going back!
Updated review:My previous review lamented that the only option for membership was a 1 year commitment that could not be cancelled early, regardless in change of living situation (specifically, moving out of state). The business owner promptly responded to my review, letting me know that there was also an option to pay in full for terms shorter than a year. I do wish I had been informed of that when I called as I have already signed on with another local gym. Three stars for courteous and prompt, albiet sadly too late, response.
Fun lifting there, will definitely be a long time member, plus a very good price for a membership.
Amazing and definitely have a few cuties there😍
Be careful.... they don’t tell you the contract is binding to the point that if your company relocates you or you move and just are no where close to the gym, they won’t let you cancel. They also make no mention of an 80 dollar maintenance fee they charge every year. Oh and when you call to talk to them they never get back to you like they say!!!!! Terrible gym and terrible people especially for claiming to be Christians!!!!!
Best gym in NWI hands down. Alan started Classics, as an old school Powerhouse Gym and built it ground up. A place where all are welcome and everyone blends together as a family. Best place to to train or exercise. Check it out.
Join this gym. Tons of equipment. Super friendly staff. Lots of space. Membership is cheap. You wont be disappointed.
I travel a lot for work and find it difficult to find well managed gyms in the areas I go to. I was extremely happy from the time I called to see if they give one day passes to the time I got done with my workout there. The general manager was very professional and nice. They have a good dumbbell, freeweight and hammer strength type machines there. They also have a good selection of cardio equipment. Everywhere you look there is motivation on the wall. When I was here there were a wide variety of people. Not just the everyday lifters. So its no intimidation to anyone new to the fitness life. I 100% recommend this gym. Get to a better you!
Great deal and very knowledgeable people.
Al and the whole staff really care about their members. Gyms dont get better than this!
One star off for equipment maintenance but overall great gym.
This place is a dump. None of the patrons have on mask not even the employees. And tells me they put their customers first, then put on a darn mask. SMH
Great gym plenty of cardio equipment, lots of weights, 2 deadlifting areas, squat racks, and its clean. Nice locker rooms also.
I signed a contract with this gym. I was new to the area. I went on the tour. I thought it was a cool gym, not very modern with their equipment but I liked that it was a Christian gym. Felt good seeing my favorite scriptures on the wall. Usually, I stick to big chain places like xsport and la fitness but most people I met recommended it, so I gave it a try. Big mistake. 3 months go by and I had to move because the landlord couldn’t fix the heat in the apartment I was renting. There isn’t another classics gym near me, i am now about 60 miles away. I called and explained this to the person at the desk and I was told someone would give me a call back. Weeks went by, no call...so I called frequently but seemed to always get a voicemail. I left detailed voicemails with my contact information and nature of my call but my call was never returned. A few months go by and I’m still getting charged. Today, January 20,2018 I call and finally reach someone different. She explains regardless of circumstance i am still bound by this contract. She stressed that it was explained that it was a binding unbreakable contract. Who would sign that, if that was actually explained. After some back and forth, I requested to speak to the owner because he laid out, if I have any issues feel free to talk to him... I was told that he will just pass on the matter to someone else and won’t contact me lol. So much for being a good Christian. Business is business. Wow. Confused, I explain, there is no way I can frequent the gym that is so far away and there isn’t another gym owned by classics near me. Xsport and la fitness have this clause in their contract, if you have to relocate and there isn’t a gym in a reasonable traveling distance, you are released from the contract, so I was confused to learn why they didn’t. In total, I am liable for 9 months of a gym I no longer have access to. I’ve decided to just pay the rest of the contract and be done. Take it as a lesson. I advise readers to stick to what they know. There are other gyms that are modern and offer better amenities. I strongly suggest you choosing a bigger chain. Not very Christian bro but Proverbs 26:11-12. Thanks for the lesson.
The equipment is fine however the staff and management is terrible, I tried paying my fees in cash so I could avoid late fees from my bank and two managers told me I wasnt allowed to pay in cash. When I asked one of the managers to speak to the owner she said I couldnt talk to him about it and that he was getting ready to work out and that if I wanted to pay cash she would cancel my contract and charge me an extra 50 dollars(even though this wasnt part of the contract, she just didnt want to deal with me). After getting late fees that I was trying to avoid in the first place they tried pulling money from my account everyday and tacking on 15 dollars a day in late fees not to mention my overdraft fees. I finally got a more level headed employee to take my cash but I had to pay the for the whole year in cash and all the late fees at once. Avoid these guys at all costs they just want to give you fees and take it straight out of your bank.
Best gym east of the Mississippi
Plenty of equipment and just an amazing atmosphere to be in while your getting you gains
Love it!!!! Love the Hip Hop Cardio Class!!! Love that its 24hrs, and the Owner is So Sweet.
Owners are great, tons of well-maintained equipment, easy payment options and 24 hour access. Couldnt ask for more!
The Good: Sufficient amount of equipment that is usually maintained. Friendly staff. The Con: I stopped going to Classic Bodyworks because I was relocated for work. Before I left I forgot to cancel my gym membership. Two months later my credit card on file expired. Classic called me to let me know that my monthly payment was not processed and that I have to come current or face collections. I called several times to cancel my account and pay for the month that I was late, but only received voice mail to which I left several messages stating that I want to cancel my membership. The next month I received another message from Classic saying I was two months behind. When I called back, again I was only ready to reach voicemail. When I finally got ahold of someone they told me I had to complete a written cancelation form in order to cancel. I provided them the cancelation letter and was required to pay three months membership (that I didnt use) and two NSF fees in order for them to cancel the membership. Without making payment in full, they would continue to charge my account monthly. Reluctantly I paid the balance due because I was told they would not process the cancelation until the account was paid in full. Classic tries to hold themselves out a Christian business, but they have no compassion in their business practices. I wouldnt go back.
Its now my home gym.
Really shoddy gym with terrible management, the managers will dodge your questions and be condescending. The place looks and feels dirty with old equipment. when things break other old equipment is used to replace it
Best Gym around
