From design to final inspection, the Tropical Pools team were on point! Our salesman, Bobby Fisher, was always available to answer questions and make sure we were aware of what was next on the schedule. Our pool was built in the time frame they gave us and we couldnt be any happier with the end result! I have recommended them to family and friends and have no problem giving them the highest rating and review!

We are having a pool put in it has been 3 months and we only have a pond with a footer this the worst job Ive ever seen. Ive been in the maintenance field for over 40 years if I would have treated my customers that way I wouldnt have had a job. They would not return our calls or even come by. They contract out all the jobs and the first crew were slobs they left trash and debris all over my yard. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy 😤they are averaging 3 weeks a contractor. as of today its been 3weeks since Ive seen anyone

I had signed contract in August 2020. This was primarily a gift for my mother for exercise and relaxation. They were planning on a completion time of about 6 months. As with everything else in the construction industry, COVID and materials shortages took their toll and the project completed in mid May. Bobby was and has always been awesome to deal with. He was honest and upfront whenever there was a delay, keeping me in the loop at all times. He put up with my texts whenever I had a question - even on the weekends. He even managed to wrap it all up so mom could go swimming by her birthday! I have no complaints, the pool looks beautiful and I actually spend more time in it than I planned. Being in the construction industry for more than 30 years, I understand delays and surprises, and they were extra professional and accommodating even with things out of their control. Thank you - your entire team - for making my moms birthday gift more than what she was hoping for!

I have 35 years of construction experience. I have had a pool built prior to this one. The basic pool turned out to be acceptable, except the company failed to return to remedy their failure. The pool still leaks and the water feature has never worked properly. They did not protect surfaces prior to plaster. This resulted in a less than acceptable finish. The drains were set below grade, so when the plaster crew showed up they had to reschedule our finish work Their crew consisted of a couple knowledgeable people, but the guys that were sent to prepare our pool for plaster did a terrible job. We rarely saw any field manager until we had problems. Tropical Pools could have been proactive with our pool every step of the way, but fell down again and again. We have issues with rust because of the poor planning and preparation. The bottom line is do not use Tropical Pools if you expect anything satisfying. I would have given them a 1/4 or 1/2 star, but weren’t available to select.

As of to date: we are so disappointed with the lack of communication and rudeness when dealing with Alex. Not once has anyone showed up to lay eyes on the project after each trade completed their portion to see if it was done correctly. They don’t call for scheduling ahead of time. Never once came though when they said they would be there.Alex lacks professionalism when speaking to customers.Conveyed to them some issues we had when making final payment prior to completion of work bc that is their contract hoping that they would be heard, but they were not. Now they have all of our money, we have a half job completed and no resolutions for the problems at hand. Buyer beware. Do not do business with them if communication and professionalism matter to you, because it certainly doesn’t matter to them.

Our patio came out beautifully. Everyone that came to work here was friendly, professional and paid attention to detail doing a great job. Bobby was really great helping us with the design and making sure we were satisfied. I would highly recommend this company.

This pool company is awesome. Our salesman Bill was exceptional. When ever we had a question regarding the construction of our new pool on Ingraham Blvd. Bill was always available for us. We are extremely happy with the construction job completed by Tropical Pool. My wife and I would highly recommend this company especially what they accomplished in these trying times.

Quality products and nice sales people. We researched many companies and saw subpar quality. Tropical uses the best products and their installation employees.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do terrible work, and they are terrible people. I hired them to build/install my pool. They are seriously the worst contractor I have ever done business with. They are unprofessional. They constantly lied to both my husband and I. They missed every construction deadline, and they failed every inspection too! It was a nightmare. Now they won’t come back and fix the ‘sunken’ pavers that they caused along the edge of the pool. Do yourself a favor and use anybody but these people.

Tropical Pools did a pool for me about 2 years ago.. It started and was finished with a negative star rating! I have yet to be able to enjoy my large purchase..But theres hope yet....and his name is Anthony! I have 3 ticket itemsand so far he has corrected the 1st one. As of today i rate Anthony at a 5 star rating! He has done everything he said, when he said and done it right! I believe all my previous problems were a bad salesperson and laborers, that are no longer there .I also believe Anthony had something to do with that! Im looking forward to having the other 2 items corrected and leaving Anthony and Tropical Pools with a 5 star rating........and enjoying my pool lol. I will keep this review updated on the remaining 2 items.

This is the third pool with Tropical and the best so far. Kim Tollett our Account Manager was awesome! We would call during the week, and on weekends, she is very easy to reach. Loved the design, she suggested, with some minor changes. Overall I would highly recommend Kim & Tropical.

They are working on getting the pool done they are behind schedule but are attempting to satisfy me.

Buyer beware. Forget about service, even when youre able to get the owner out and acknowledge that substandard work was performed by his own company. Promised to send out a crew to fix it (after I even said I would pay for the service for them to fix their own shoddy workmanship!), never showed up. Now, the pool light has failed and the circus staff cant tell me what they installed. Perhaps this is a normal day in the life of a SW Florida pool builder, but I somehow think not.

I am the 1st to say that you here bad things these days about every pool company in our area. Theres a lot of choices out there and I decided to stay local and giri g Tropical pools what a great move Ive made.They are a very smooth and well run company under the ownership of Ralph. My salesman bill has been very thorough and forthcoming from A to Z about the project. Alex the project manager has been methodical and keeping the flow of the pool build moving very good and at a steady pace. his almost entirely in house crew. Are hard working great guys,All the workers all the staff and all the management had been nothing but great to this disabled Veteran and I am more than happy to refer them to anyone. 👍👍👍👍Wiith a tight budget you get a great product and I appreciate these guys very much..

Do not recommend them!!!!! Once finally completed, now a year later and most of the pavers around the pool are sinking and uneven. I sent a certified letter to them 10 months ago with no response. Guess who will be fixing all the pavers this winter. ME :(**##**

This is THE place to have build your pool!

3 years later we have not had resolution to our finish problems on our new construction with Tropical Pools and DM Dean. Now we also have pavers that are unlevel and one of the seat spa jets has failed when the pavers have settled. Just found out a repair was done backwards with the salt cell generator replacement after it went bad after a year and a half. We had been regularly requesting resolution of the finish issue and have been rudely told by Tropical Pools it is our problem and they have no intention of honoring their warranty/work with any repairs. I tried everything they suggested and they never followed through as they said they would. Choose another builder! They do not care about customer service once they have your money. A nice product is backed by the builder and they do not care! They are the ones providing the service and they expect you not to say when they made a mistake or something is not right. Poor work ethic on their part and there are not enough good reviews to make up for the bad ones. Similar issues.. seeing a pattern? Following....

Our pool is absolutely amazing. We are very happy with the end results. The project seemed endless at times but it is worth the wait. The work crews were all professional and easy to deal with. Nick, our concrete guy worked weekends to keep the project moving forward. Steve, our cage guy did a terrific job. His workmanship is impeccable.Pool school with Jason finally tied it all together. Jason is a terrific instructor who explained everything from A - Z in a clear concise manner. Thank you, Jason for being so accessible as we continue to learn how to operate our equipment.

Beware of these guys! Tropical Pools built a pool for us . The pool deck was never filled properly and we have major settling. The fill is dirt and sand rather than stone or crushed shell. The settling caused the skimmer to shift and start leaking. The return jet pipe started leaking due to being broken off at the outer pool wall, again due to the settling of the soil. The gap under the deck to the soil where the pipe broke was more 6 in . The deck now needs to be removed, proper fill material put in and compacted.The major gripe I have is that I have contacted them twice to come by and advise about possible solutions. I am not asking for warranty. The owner (Ralph) doesnt even bother to return my call, let alone drop by. Their customer service is poor and they only care about getting the job.10 months later... I found a contractor that was able to mud-jack the deck back up to normal height. It took 4 yards of sand and concrete mixture to fill the voids.

Jason Thompson will save Tropical Pools from not having any customers. We never heard from our salesman or anyone from Tropical Pools, including Ralph, after our pool was completed and we had so many issues that needed repair and/or completion of work. (Brand new pool) It was not until Jason came out and took care of everything - from repair of jets to replacing blower to setting up remote access--that we were finally able to use and enjoy our pool. Thank you Jason!Ralph told me that he doesnt care about reviews.

This was a job very well done! Everything was done with great pride and professionalism. We love our pool and couldnt be more pleased. Thank you Larry for all that you and the company done to make this a great experience in every aspect for us. We highly recommend Tropical Pools!!!

Their paver decks sink, the people that work their are shady. They tried to have me work for free, after a life altering brain surgery. I only took 30 days off of work for. And when I come back to work I get the service call list, and absolutely no explanation of how Im getting paid for it. I actually took a huge pay cut and never once agreed to it. They fire their staff for coming to the hospital to see me the day after the wreck I had. They have absolutely no employee appreciation. Its a lot like slave labor here, work work work, no weekends off, no days off, no seeing your doctor, no taking care of yourself, just work 12 hr days, 7 days a week, and they wont even pay you for what you worked. Their products are not even that great. And always full of excuses to why they cant get stuff done......

Tropical Pools has been amazing to work with!! They have a huge selection in their showroom of tiles, plaster and pavers but our sales person Kim (who is awesome by the way!) even drove us around to see the different finished pools so we could make the best decision on what we wanted. Tropical has just started using Jandy equipment for all of their new installs which was our preference as that’s what we had on our previous pool and is the easiest and most user friendly. The owner Ralph stands by his word and he and Kim want to deliver the pool of your dreams and make that happen. Ralph and Kim were amazing to work with and I know you’ll have a great experience with Tropical Pools.

Update: Having issues for 3 weeks with the Cell on the filter not working. Pool Co reached out to Tropical had a service lined up to come out, been waiting on a phone call but nothing. Pool guy asks did they come...nope. Come to find out Jandy (the company that makes the product) called Tropical to confirm Im under warranty and Tropical told them I didnt pay the balance owed so I voided my warranty. After providing cleared checks 4 times and another phone stating I owed money I had to involve my builder because I can no longer deal with Tropical. Poor accounting, refusing warranty issues on false claims, which lead to my pool not working properly, sending your guy to my house like its a shakedown. They should be ashamed but they are not.I really wasnt going to do a review but after 2 visits to my home from a worker saying we still had a balance owed, Im done. Done with reasons or excuses and thinking an apology is enough. We picked the pool that was featured in the model home (we choose). This was our first ever experience in building from scratch and we were not in the area to watch. The pool is missing a seat and the lanai had to be made smaller due to easement (we lost 432sqft) which is fine if they just mentioned that at the sit down. After moving in we felt the space was even smaller than what is on the plans and sure enough we were right. They got paid and got the price for what they have in the model home but we didnt get the model home pool and then have the nerve to.. 1- say you signed the contract 2- Oh we fired the guy who handled your contract 3- come to my house twice (which I find very unprofessional and felt like a shakedown) after providing them proof the 1st time. 4- Saying they changed the company name during our contact and each check went to different acccounts. We had other minor issues as well which have since been resolved with the exception of missing screws and caps after almost 5 visits from different people from Tropical pools. Building from scratch for the first time is very overwhelming, you trust that every detail will be mentioned but in my opinion from every aspect of this process its business and its about getting the job done and getting paid.

Highly recommend this company! We had an awesome experience with tropical pools. My pool is bigger than most and they took less than a month to finish the pool, spa, and cage! Its so beautiful. Ill try to post pictures if I can figure it out.

In the process of having our pool built, they have failed two inspections. One of our walls collapsed already and they have yet to come back to fix so the shell can be done. Alex was very rude when calling to confront him about the work, he actually hung up on us. Not professional at all.

Through DM Dean, Tropical Pools installed our pool and Infinite Pools subcontracted to install pebble finish that has had issues since shortly after we moved in April 2017. Tropical Pools has not made resolution to dark staining that started on the bottom but is now progressing up the sides and on the steps of our pool 2 years later! We have used the recommended pool service since day 1 weekly and Tropical is blaming chemicals on the progressing issue. Long story short....he said she said....When I called Tropical Pools today I was told by Ralph that although there was a lifetime warranty we would have to pay for draining, acid wash and refill and when I questioned the warranty he RUDELY responded...and I quote...Youre out of luck lady! and hung up on me twice because I was questioning their resolution of the issue. This is NOT acceptable customer service and people should not have to be treated in this manner when they pay as much as we did for a quality product WITH warranty! Who is the customer here? Definitely not happy with Tropical Pools and DO NOT RECOMMEND them.

Jason was wonderful, patient, and just a super people. So pleasant to work with . We just couldnt have done it with out him.

The addition of Kim Tollett to the Tropical Pool & Spa team has been fabulous! We have not had one problem with the installation of our pool installed by Tropical in a year. We did have a small issue with our pool cage screen and when we met Kim at a customer appreciation party my wife casually mentioned the issue about the screen to Kim (we were supposed to have no seeum screen on the walls and got regular screen) and she looked at us and said Let me talk to Ralph. I think we are going to fix that for you Next thing I know Kim calls and says the installers will be out on Monday, if that is a good day for you. The installers showed up on Monday like she said, fixed the problem, were polite and went about their business for the day. That wasnt the first time that the owner, Ralph, helped us either. Not with a pool problem but with a builder issue that he personally helped us with. Our experience with Tropical pools has been 5 star...and this review was done a year after installation. Kims customer service/care skills are amazing and I would hope that she will be a long term asset to Tropical pools and Spas!

We was skeptical at first but now were glad we decided to go with Tropical. It took 2 1/2 months to finish my pool but it was well worth the wait.My pool is beautiful!

As many of you are only now finding out, Tropical Pools and Ralph DiCarlo do NOT build a quality pool. We built a pool in 2011, when they werent even that busy, and we had the same problems getting things done in a timely fashion.--there were many lies and promises from them. We are STILL having problems with our pool, we have already had to replace the skimmer and plumbing. The deck is sinking because they didnt properly prepare the sub-floor and didnt put enough dirt under the deck. Pavers are sinking all over the deck.Ask some of the more reputable building contractors who to use for a pool contractor. They usually know who to use or who NOT to use. Good luck!

Please spare yourself a lot of misery and disappointment!! Do not Use Tropical Pools. We signed a contract in September, was told yes could have a pool by Christmas and for sure first week of Jan latest! (Needed it for my husbands health) Guess what still no POOL! The first 4 weeks every week we heard next week -- then they finally started but we had to call everyday to say why is nothing happening? The biggest excuse was oh we are so busy we have 300 pools going? Maybe Less pools and better Customer Service ! We have literally called them everyday some days 2-3 times and they dont even bother returning your phone calls! They assured us they use there own people not true -- everything is a sub !! The pavers were put down the same day I expressed a concern with some areas that was a month ago they have not been back to correct my areas of dissatisfaction. Problems with the cage an area that needed attention ( I think it kept it from passing inspection) they showed up here at dark stood on a web lawn chair that was on my patio and half assed threw up a piece that was suppose to be the fix! as well still not corrected! The work men through branches, lunch trash, bottles and cardboard into the pool so its been in there for all this time now with Green Water from the rain. My husband even spoke directly with the owner who was clueless. The salesman is just that a salesman does not care about the family thats being taken advantage of. My husband is in ill health 92 years old and needed this pool to help in his recovery not to mention this is his last home ! This has not been an enjoyable experience as I had hoped.Oh course they have been completely paid, because the salesman kind of indicated if we did not give the last payment in full they would even be slower to get the job done !!!!!!!!!

Worst company you could ever deal with, it took over a year to complete. Now two years latter still leaking, oh the joys of being promised over and over again........ Ralph the owner is the biggest lyer, he will tell you what you want too hear. But no action..... Please contact me if you would like to be a part of a class action lawsuit . Im getting a lawyer in March.

Worst service and they use bottom of the line equipment. Do not use them for anything. Ask any pool supply store or pool guy in the area. Tropical pools has a very bad reputation.

Hard to get a hold of. Lacking communication within their own office.
