I love working out at Youfit PC. I have been working with the trainer Matt Rowland for a couple of months now. He has so much knowledge about fitness. I have seen such a huge difference!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TRAINING HERE! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SWITCH YOUR TRAINER WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! I signed up for personal training with Matt. He said he would check in with me while I was out of town and call to schedule next session. He didn’t do this. I called in and he apologized and set up my session for when I was back in town. When I showed up for my session he was with another client and passed me off to a new trainer that just started who wasn’t familiar with me or my situation. I asked to cancel because I didn’t feel that I was getting what I signed up for and I was told they can’t do that, that I signed a 3 month agreement . BEWARE!!!! They act like they care about your fitness but it is a bait and switch. You will not get results because they don’t follow through!

Youfit in Port Charlotte is clean, and I rarely run into a broken machine unlike the North Port location. People here are friendly and helpful.

I went to look at the gym last week. I was helped by Dave and Emma. BOTH we’re extremely nice and personable. They provided great information about exercising and gym memberships. I loved their energy as well as the people at the gym. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. I ended up signing up, and I am excited to begin my fitness journey with Youfit! Best gym in SWFL!

Terrible customer service staff... I came in to see if I could get a gym membership with them, but to my surprise one of the staff members (I did not get their name because I was just so appalled at his comment towards me) called me a fat lard and was not up to the challenge of losing weight and was taunting me. Very disappointing, I was in shock....... I dont recommend this place to anyone that is trying to lose weight because they WILL make it not happen.

Just like many others, not satisfied with having my bank account accessible for payments or any fees other than a monthly membership fee. The gym is clean but last I was there a few machines needed upkeep. All in all a decent place to workout but no gym should have you bank info. Period. If this were not the case I would leave 4.5 stars. Employees are friendly.

They close too early on weekends!!7 to 7 would be great hours!I also talked to the staff about the hours. They said the owner is refusing to extend the hours. The one in North port closes at 11pm, but the one in Port Charlotte closes at 8pm. Can we at least get 9pm please. 4pm on weekends is ridiculous!! I understand 7 or 8pm. But 4 pm is not fair. I pay my monthly fee on time. Ppl dont come because you guys dont stay open. Please fix it.

I signed up with my girlfriend in March and was only able to use the gym 1 or 2 times before the Corona virus hit and the gym shut down. I find it very frustrating that in the middle of a pandemic I was forced to manually freeze my account because I was still being charged for a service that I could not use because it was unavailable due to quarantine.I manually froze my account, but later found that my account was automatically unfrozen without my permission when my location reopened. I was never called and told that the location was open or that my account would be unfrozen. With the number of cases in Florida steadily rising after the quarantine ended I was not about to go back to the gym and I was appalled to find that my account had been unfrozen without me requesting so. A couple of weeks ago I went into my local youfit to cancel my subscription because there was a charge of $53 on my account even though I had not authorized the unfreezing of my account nor had I been to the gym. They told me I could not cancel my subscription because I had made it with a another person even though it was my bank account that was being charged. They told me to come back with the other person and they would cancel it for me.I went back today to cancel my account because even though I had already expressed that I would be canceling my account and that I had not used your facilities at all since March I was charged a yearly subscription fee as well as a monthly subscription fee. This is outrageous and I demand a refund.I refuse to pay over $100 for a service that I am unable to utilize due to a global pandemic which is out of my control.I have called, emailed, tweeted, and Facebook messaged and no one is replying to me. The people that work at this location are super nice, but after all of the money Ive lost between this and $400 worth of personal training expiring I will never do business here again.Edit 8/27 - I have called and I have been told no one will refund my money. The woman on the phone told me the yearly fee is nonrefundable and no one has even offered to refund the monthly fee I was charged without my permission. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. This is robbery. I want my money back.

The equipment and club are nice. The company itself is horrible. During the pandemic when everything was shut down, they kept taking fees from people. Even when I contacted them, they refused to stop even though i demanded it. On top of that, they raised fees even though they werent open.

Very friendly and clean gym. Favorite gym in town especially for the price.

Awesome personal trainers good equipment

I cancelled my membership in person at the end of June and requested a refund for the 3 months that they were closed,, Was told I would get a refund. Since then a phone call and in 3 in person discussions with 2 managers. Lied to by an employee about a manager not being in and then magically appearing. I still have no refund. It was bad enough that they charged everyone when they were closed but they either cant figure out how to send a refund or refuse to do so. Filed a dispute with my credit card but then Youfit recharged me for those 3 months. Youfits response is that it takes time to process a refund. It is now 3 months since the manager told me I would receive a refund. What an unethical business I will be contacting the state attorney general.

Great environment and polite staff

They closed due to COVID, I was still getting charged. Tried to cancel, couldnt get ahold of anyone. Canceled through my bank.I guess they continued to charge me, because I received a phone call from their collections for a $150 balance. Apparently I was supposed to send in a formal letter to cancel, otherwise you will continue to accrue a monthly fee and late fees on their end. I can go in and cancel and pay the $150 past due balance to cancel my membership. Wow.I was told that I can have my past-due balance waived if I join again. No thanks.

Its good. I just joined and its working out during a pandemic.... I think they prove they keep a clean gym and that they care. That makes a big difference right now. I recommend this gym!

Fantastic service ! One of the nicest gyms I’ve been to hands down. The gym is very sanitary and there is lots of machines, but the people their make u feel like royalty! They treat you with so much respect! Every time I go, one of the young lady’s who work their named Lea greet me and tell me to have a good workout every time. Such a great environment.

Youfit charges your account while denying you the service they claim to provide. Upon their reopening I discovered to my shock that they had automatically renewed my membership for $42. That’s $10 a month for the three months without service and now $42 renewal fee upon the reopening. Let’s see here $72 in a span of 3 months for a gym in which I have been unable to use and frankly no longer care to do so. They claim the only way to cancel is by mail but they certainly didn’t have trouble using technology to charge my account for $72 in time which I am unemployed and have been so since covid-19.

This is my 2nd visit within a week and Im very suprised @ the wonderful treatment I recieved. The atmosphere has changed completely and I cant wait to be there again. Thanx YOUFIT for the great experience!

There’s plenty of equipment - you don’t have to wait for a machine. The gym is kept clean. The price is right and my husband can join me for no additional cost. Great music, welcoming staff! So close to home and convenient to get to.

Me and my husband just became members, the assistant manager Lea signed us up. So beyond helpful and really was able to explain things to us. So far we’ve had a great experience! We highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a place to work out at.

Ive just recently hit my 1-year anniversary of being a member here, and while I wish this location was a bit bigger so they could have the room to do more inside (like classes), its a great place. The gym and equipment are always clean and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The monthly membership price is also great, and since I have the Lime Card, I can bring my husband (my workout buddy) with me every time. This will definitely be my gym until we move out of Florida.

Love this gym! The facility is clean and the workers are always smiling and kind, the gym is very reasonable and has no hidden fees Wich I love. They have all the equipment I need and a large free weight section.

I always kept in great shape,due to working construction for most of my life an I actually worked at a spa many years ago, however I retired with a disability an I’ve allowed myself to get out of shape an I tell you it’s been a blessing joining this gym. I have never really been successful at the gym, it has always been intimidating to me, until now. Evan was so helpful and encouraged me to be brave and take the first step towards my goals. Ryan was my first trainer and he was great. Very encouraging, and helpful. Devin has been my trainer for the past few months and I just cant say enough about how awesome he is. He makes the work outs enjoyable, there is always something new we are trying, he adapts to my crazy schedule, he is extremely encouraging and yes his works outs kick my butt but that is exactly what I needed and wanted. He has an intuition about where your true limit is and he pushes you to be the best you can be, but he does it safely and enjoyably. Thank you Youfit and most of all Ryan and Devin for making this journey to my new self so fulfilling

We were looking for a 2 months personal training contract, they said we should sign for 3 months. We were agree since we told them we will be moving on April. Since the beginning we requested just 3 months and we made clear we will be moving at the beginning of April.We payed for the first month and the last month. They asked us to cancel a month ahead. We went 2 days before to cancel and nobody was there to help us, we came back on Monday and they said it was 1 day late for the cancelation. However they had been advised from the beginning we just want a 3 months contract and Wes Cole was aware of this. They did not listen and they charged a 4rd month on my credit card.Becareful they make you sign on a digital pad and they do not show you their comments. I called and sent numerous emails and nobody had reached me back. Later I found out they change the manager.The 1 star is for the trainer, they are awesome Nick and Victor.PLEASE STAY WAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Been going to this gym for 4 years now and have never had any issues. Members are friendly and respect each other. The employees are simply amazing and are so nice when you enter the door, greeting you and actually talking to you. Price is fair and if you are a lime card member you get 1/2 off drinks and tanning. I had belonged to you fit for 3 years. A couple of months ago they went up 2 dollars a month. It isn’t a lot, but I don’t get a chance to go to the gym much. The last time I was in, the tv channels consisted of about 3 channels. There was 3 fox. 2 nbc and 3 of another. In other words, basically no tv. Price goes up with less. I now belong to planet fitness.

You cant beat the price. Staff always cleaning something every time I workout. Other members are very respectful to each other and also clean equipment after use. Staff also greets you when you arrive and leave.Just needs more room for stretching/floor exercises. Gets a little busy after 5 but not really a big problem as people are polite with the equipment. Bathrooms are kept clean but could use a better exhaust fan for the showers and stalls.

I love this place. Very courteous staff, always smiling and attentive to me and my fellow members. Shout out to Nick my trainer who is very tough with me and does it with a smiling face (can’t stand it) but he’s a great trainer and motives his clients to their maximum potential. Youfit is changing my life and I’m loving it!

I joined just before the global pandemic broke out. During the entire time gyms were shut down, I continued to get charged $29 a month for a gym that was closed, and the $120 training sessions I paid for were non-refundable. Gyms are a scam.

Dave is awesome. As is all of the other counter employees. It reminds me of the TV program, Cheers, where everybody knows your name. Lena is so hopeful & kind. Victor is a fountain of information when it comes to exercising. It is never too busy to answer a question or give you advice when you asked for it. I have a lot of health issues which he takes into account when assisting and me in trying to get back in shape/ healthier. Besides, where in the world can you get physical therapy AKA exercise for $10 a month and still not feel like you do not belong or stick out like a sore thumb. For a anyone, especially a Women out of shape and overweight, its hard to go to a gym & not feel like you are being judged. I dont think when I am here. From staff or even the customers. In shape or out.

Horrible!!! DO NOT JOIN HERE!!! I had 4 accounts for family members and myself. Three of us not using them so I cancelled them since not used it in over a year. They claimed never received cancel notice and had to fight with corporate Then corporate(ha ha) offered me by email, cause didnt have the guts to get on the phone, a free (ha ha) membership for $99.00 for one year. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I am cancelling all accounts and going to Planet Fitness! They are open 24/7 and have better facilities!

The assenment was pretty good, the guys name was Wes, he kinda told me what to say and clicked the five star button for me, but thats okay. The membership itself is a good price but the personal training is expensive, as is all personal trainers. The place is welcoming and its a good first experience.

Currently on my second year going here. The gym is always kept clean, also with great friendly and helpful staff. Even during the busiest time of the day, you can come and get your workout in without having to wait for machines, benches, etc. Not to mention the most competitive membership rates in the area!

I really enjoy working out here. It is clean and staff is friendly. Only things I dont like is its not open late enough on sunday nights (Im an RN and I get out of work around 8pm when its closing) and member perks do not compare to Planet Fitness or Anytime Fitness. However this is more convenient location wise for me.

Been a member for a few years. Worth the cheap price and usually not over crowded. Can get in and out quickly with nobody bothering you.

I recently joined YouFit in Port Charlotte. The people have been great, the facility is well maintained, and the fitness coach is great. Victor really knows his stuff in customizing a workout plan for me. He knows about my shoulder and knee problem and works around that. I cant say enough positive things about this gym. Nice mix of members there too!

Id give it 5 stars if You-Fit did a better job of keeping equipment operating. Once a piece of equipment breaks down it is weeks if not months before it is back in service. I dont blame Charlotte as this is a corporate problem because it is the corporate people who purchase the equipment and make deals with the manufacturers, including service contracts. Otherwise the place is well equipped; very clean; and the staff is friendly.

There is 2 or 3 people behind the desk at all times why can’t they walk around and clean the machines. Did you read what I wrote???

You should check your bank account, because this people is taking money from it, in my case is the 2nd time I found them doing it, unauthorized and subtracting more money than they should. Thats one of hazards of given them access to your direct bank account, and then when you call, they said is a mistake from the system, but they propose you not to charge you for the next two month (which does not match the amount subtracted), so is the system error?? or a person manipulating the system??, I dont know. I just dont want this to happen to anybody else.

If your over 60 BEWARE!! I live on a fixed income and had an emergency at my home. Cost me thousands, and Youfit wouldnt let me out of my training for a while. Now im being charged for something i cant pay for. Im wondering if being 65 has anything to do with it!!Tim Bush

I like this gym. The price is cheap and there is a lot of equipment. The staff is friendly and keeps this gym quite clean. The hours of operation are great. It is usually not too busy unless you go directly after work.

The place seems safe and very clean. Dave is very friendly, always says hello and goodbye. My only complaint, and lve brought it up to the management more than once, is the obnoxious music and the high volume of it. I nearly took a fall in the ladies locker room and if l had to scream for help, lm fairly certain no one could have heard me.
