Planet fitness was awesome helping me get in. I usually do a lot of hiking and but this Florida heat is too hot. So I appreciate the 24-hour service they offer so anytime you need to go you can go work out especially if your schedule is hectic is mine. Thank you and keep up the great work and be safe.

The machines in this gym need to be maintained. There all out of whack the bars on the hammer machines aren’t straight cause the machines are crooked. I have spoke to the people working there and the lady doing the audit of the place. They don’t do anything to fix it. The bathrooms are filthy. The material on the machines are cracking. They said when i joined 2 years ago they were getting a row machine. I guess this is the owners first gym so they don’t care.

Super packed all the time. Kinda makes I hard to enjoy a workout. Maybe a capacity limit should be put in place. Im probably gonna cancel my subscription:/ if you dont mind crowded rooms they do have some nice equipment and the water massage chairs are great!

I would have given them 5 stars however I am a man and amputee. And unfortunately they didnt have alot of equipment that I can use.However the stores were constantly cleaned and kept up well. The staff was courteous and friendly and knowledgeableAnd the price is right.If you pay for the upgraded black membership..its well worth itBecause it allows 2 people to use it everyday and every option they have.Well worth going and the membershipHow can you beat the $20 no contract monthly membership for 2 people 🤔Obviously thats only $10 a month split.

So happy to be back to the gym. Just wow 👏😳😍👌❤💖👏 my wife and I are really enjoying the routine again. Seem what was a very smart elder. Had gloves on you spray the gloves and everything you touch is disinfected. Simply brilliant 👏👌. Everyone is being responsible. Great to be back....

Enjoying getting back in to the routine of working out now that gyms are back open. Great place with great hours and a convenient location. I find the equipment and classes they have meet my personal needs.

I moved out of state and they refused to cancel my membership even after I sent THIS Planet Fitness the written letter saying I wanted to cancel the membership. They have charged me over $200 after I have canceled and refuse to reimburse me!! BAD customer service! No one ever called me back!

The gym is great but the TVs not working for over a week was almost a deal breaker for me. Excuse after excuse why they were not fixed. But overall a clean gym.

Where do I start...I purchased a tanning lotion at this location a few days ago. The tanning lotion smelled very potent once applied and caused my skin to itch. I immediately stopped applying this lotion and decided to exchange it or return it. I walked in today with the lotion and spoke to a girl at the front desk about exchanging or returning it. She told me that she’s new and doesn’t know if they do returns or exchanges on lotions. I asked her if I could speak to a manager since this lotion was not cheap at all! ($35) She tells me to either wait an hour until the manager is done cleaning or to come back the next day. Apparently customer service doesn’t exist at this location? I told her absolutely not and I would like to speak to a manager and the customer should come first over cleaning at the moment. She immediately got an attitude and said you’re going to have to wait. I said, “fine I’ll wait but I’d like to tan in the meantime and once I get out I’ll speak to a manager.” Once I was done tanning I came out and waited for the so called manager to come up to the counter. This woman approached the counter and didn’t say anything. I had to say, “excuse me, are you the manager?” She then answers, “no the manager is actually not here, how can I help you?” (With a rude tone to her voice) At this point I was appalled with the customer service here. I told her I wanted to exchange or return the item for the reasons above and she then goes to accuse me of using the tanning lotion when tanning before speaking to her. Of course I had to bring the lotion in the room with me! I owned the lotion and was waiting for the so called manager to come speak to me because she was too busy apparently cleaning!?! I read the online return or exchange policy that is online clear as day to the public and she tells me that they’re franchised and those rules don’t apply to them. (Again with a rude tone) I then asked her to give me the corporate phone number and the general managers number and they would be hearing from me. She then says, “have a great day!” (With the rudest tone I have ever heard) I am appalled by both of the woman that I spoke with, when I was simply just trying to return or exchange a bottle of tanning lotion, that I used a tiny tiny amount of before I realized I couldn’t use it anymore. I hope these so called employees get at least written up or fired for this! This is no way to run a business and their customer service was appalling!!

Great staff reasonable amount of machines, but would be nice if they had free weights but its very clean.

The gym is nice and clean. The sign up process using the app was a pain. The staff was not very helpful with a new membership and there was issues with the computer system using my membership the same day.

I like the friendly, efficient staff that greet me as I walk in, and are available and patient to answer questions (ie. I needed help using the new app. It took me a minute to get)!. I like the members, always courteous, clean and busy. Everyone follows the rules. I like the wide array of modern, working machines that fit every need to build, and develop the human body. The members are so courteous, that everyone holds the front door open for the person behind them, stopping and waiting; Its contagious; now I do the same for other members. Lastly, I like the proximity to my home, less than 10 minutes away, knowing theyre open 24/7, Im never anxious if I need to get in a workout!It is located in a location where I have immediate access to shopping, banking, foods and 3 highways! Finally, I always feel better than when I entered!

Great gym! I rarely have to wait for equipment, everyone is nice and there is for sure no judgment there. Ive been to few different types of gym and I appreciate this one. They have a spa center for an extra cost a month which I really enjoy! I would definitely recommend this gym!!

Planet Fitness is a great gym. The staff takes pride in keeping the facility clean. The cost of their membership is reasonable. It is better than other gyms. I would recommend planet fitness to anybody who is interested in joining a gym.

Cleanliness of equipment and facility is well kept. Staff are very personable and kind. Requiring members to social distance and wear masks if unable to social distance while exercising. Mask on/off at your own discretion while working out.

I travel for work a lot and have a planet fitness black membership. I have beeb to about 90 different locations from the mid to east side of the US. This was by far the WORST one I have been to. The place was dirty, the bars were rusting to where you got it all over you and it was hard to slide weights on, the clientele were very rude people with poor gym etiquette, there was not near enough space or weights for anyone there.This place needs a management change and a relocation to a larger facility.

Very unprofessional, employees are not helpful at all. Dont waste your money.

They charge you even though you aint able to work out I been trying to cancel out my acc since around August of last year and they still wont cancel it cause they are saying I owe them now they say I owe them 100 something and i havent even worked out there since July they checked me in March to make it look like I was coming back or that I came back but I havent... anybody who have health issues make sure you and or end up pregnant make sure you double check about this place before getting a membership

Always nice gyms, had a problem with membership but that is online.

So called caitlyn.....6:40 pm 3/30. Was so rude and hung up 2 times on me asking questions she doesnt belong in customer service. If I am there and she still has a job me and my family will cancel and along with multiple friends will cancel our memberships...I will put a complaint on corporate as I will call management. I have been with planet fitness from the beginning here in PC... She is a disgrace to your company and hope you check her pockets to make sure she doesnt put info of mine in her phone....thats how horrible she treated me!!!!!!

Great gym if you are looking for getting a lot for your money in the Port Charlotte area. Eddie at the front desk is personable and professional. I am a Black Card member, so its nice to be able to use any gym whenever I travel. Excellent gym at a really fair rate.

This location is very Unsanitized Ive told the staff Several times how nasty the womans locker room and showers are and no one has done anything about it all they do is stand around and talk.

Signed up for a membership as a minor, went through the whole process and then found out my parents would have to sign a permission form for me to actually go to the gym. My parents arent capable of doing that, and even though it wasnt a completed membership I was still charged the first month. Called twice before buying the membership to make sure I would get the two months free trial and they promised me I would. Got charged my second month anyway. And then charged $41 for the yearly even though I was trying to cancel my account and couldnt because my username wasnt working. Tried to have them email me what it was through the website and it wouldnt send anything. The employees I talked to were very respectful though.

This place is amazing, the customer service is what keeps me coming back! The team here goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and safe! They clean everything that guests touch on an hourly basis and have tons of sanitation stations!

It speaks for very low standards of ownership / management regarding basic business practices. You may made a couple of lousy quick bucks, but at the end you damaged your brand name much more than you will ever be able to make up for with any funds spent in advertising.You may of bought Around the clock, the memberships, etc. but you don’t notify your new purchased members?WOOOW. In today’s day and time?No moral or ethical obligation to notify rather just charge and see what happens? Well I can tell you one thing I will never ever step in to your facility and I will pass on to where ever I get the opportunity.You have to bs to make it through? Boy that has to be super humiliating!!!

Planet fitness port charlotte is running scams supposedly they bought out around the clock membership information and can still charge your bank account even though you never signed up for any membership with them. I call port charlotte location the same place that took money from my bank account and they wont refund me and was rude and hung up on me after telling me that I need to take it up with corporate headquarters they only have a message that says its closed due to covid and to take up any business matters with your pf location locally.

Staff is friendly. Areas are spacious. Equipment is nice. I wish this location offered classes like step, aerobics, yoga, dance, etc. Hydro massage machines are broke down a lot. Overall, good gym at a good price.

They have full body enhancement theres tanning beds there is a HydroMassage table the staff is excellent and the gym is relaxed laid-back like they call it it is a judgement free zone so you can relax and be yourself and just come in and have a good workout or on your day off come in and enjoy the amenities its fantastic

I cancelled my membership because Your employee insisted that I put on a mask even while I was exercising.I followed my typical routine that I follow every day when I go to planet fitness and as I went to check in he asked me if I had a mask not once but three times raising his voice louder each time to which I replied yeah all three times. he then walked over to the stair stepper asking me for my mask I pulled the mask out of my pocket and showed him that I had it and he then threatened to call the police on me because I didnt have it on, really? WOW! what a great employee he is! Completely unprofessional, uncalled for behavior. Good bye!

No judgement. All ages and different reasons people are there. I am very comfortable here doing physical therapy.

This gym is so clean, not afraid of catching the virus here. A lot of cleaning stations so you can clean your machine or weights before and after use.

Its open 24 hours, is inexpensive and has nice machines. If the machines heart rate monitors wer ent non-functional so often it would get five stars

Just loved the friendliness of everyone from employees to other members. They had plenty of equipment available to accommodate most everything a person needs from a regular gym. Plus offer additional services such as hydro jet massage chairs, tanning booths, quiet area to relax. The locker room was very clean and sanitary. Id recommend this place to most anyone looking for a gym. Im looking forward to going back.

I love the choices in equipment and being open 24/7 allows me to exercise on my time. Having the tanning beds, massage chairs, and the red light machines all in one place is amazing. I have always been a black card member and always plan to be.

The staff is great! I signed up online and when I came in for my workouts I felt very welcomed. Alicha and Mel both went over and above and I’m so thankful! Keep up the great work ladies. You both deserve a raise😃😃

It was far easier to sign up for a membership here than with most other gyms - which have taken upwards of 20+ minutes. Everything was straightforward and we absolutely LOVE that you can bring a guest with you any time you work out. In addition, the facility has always been clean, the equipment is well organized and the staff are very welcoming and friendly coming and going. On top of that you cant beat the hydro massage, deep tissue massage, red light and tanning thats included in the black card membership. PF is definitely the BEST value for the money and an overall great experience!

I enjoy the ability to freely use any of the MANY locations. I have one just around the corner from my home, and another within 3 miles of my work. It makes it considerably easier to incorporate fitness into my hectic schedule.

I really love planet fitness. I travel a lot so I like that I can use my Black Card to use any gym. I love how quiet it is on weekends and staff is awesome. Even though Im just passing by and they always make me feel welcome. Theyre always cleaning and making sure the gym is clean. Which is a 10/10 in my book. Best PF Ive been to so far.

They want your bank access to pay. No credit cards!!! Crooks or thieves??!!! Cant pay for a full year without a bank tracking number. I have a credit card no bank account. Wanted to pay a year in advance. Last I checked electronic marketing doesnt need both my credit card and imaginary bank account number. Since I dont have one! CROOKS

Always very clean, and all the staff is exceptionally nice and friendly.

The first two things that come to mind is how I enjoy the 24/7 access and the Black Card membership benefits. Next, I would have to mention how the staff is always smiling, friendly, and super helpful, and last, but not least, is the cleanliness factor... the place is spotless!

Once they said mask were mandatory I cancelled my membership. Absolutely ridiculous to wear masks in between working out. I have went to another gym which doesnt require a mask. Its too bad because I did like this place.

Only issue is that the equipment stays broken for weeks

I found out my grandpa was dying tonight and came into planet fitness and was not doing well. Mel asked me how I was doing and I told her and she spent the next 30 min counseling me and talking to me until I felt better. Shes awesome Im so thankful she was working tonight!

I personally love my gym. There’s not a ton of pressure to be perfect. It’s a go at your own pace kind of place. Maybe some people want more than that or need it but I’ve been forced to learn a lot and how to motivate myself. I like the benefits of my Black card. I don’t partake in the free pizza days my gym has because I’m not trying to double my workouts. But everything I need to succeed is there. For people who aren’t trying to be the next Mr/Mrs Olympia, Planet Fitness can get you where you want to be and without breaking the bank. And the best part is...they are great at keeping it clean.

The masks are cumbersome to manage on bad off with water, headphones, and cleaning supplies. But otherwise always clean and like the vibe.
