First and foremost, the input jack I got today for the amp worked great. This was my first visit to RB3 and the staff could not have been more helpful. I needed a part for a repair I was doing for a friend. My whole interaction with Chris and the tech whos name I forgot (sorry) was awesome. Chris came out with the part then the tech came out to give me some pointers and what to look for. Never tried to make me feel like an idiot or tried to have me bring in the amp. Awesome experience, 100 starts if that was allowed. You have earned my business RB3!!!! Thank you again!!!!

We just had a great experience with RB3 Pedals. I contacted Russ and told him about the issue with my sons guitar and he knew exactly what it was and what I needed to fix it. We live in Nashville so he was able to ship what we needed to fix his guitar along with some guitar strings. The process was smooth and we received the package quickly. There was even some extra swag to show their appreciation. Thanks RB3 Pedals! Customers for life!

I dropped my amp off about 2 weeks ago. I was told there was a 3 week wait just to get on the bench (perfectly normal for a good repair shop). Got a call from the shop saying it was finished and ready early!! My first trip to drop off was awesome. The guy at the counter was genuinely happy and full of good conversation. When I picked up my amp the owner, Russ, actually say and explained a lot of stuff about power and proper power conditioner use/effects. It is very rare to have a solid conversation with someone so knowledgeable.

Earlier this year I took my guitar amplifier, an Engl Powerball, into RB3 pedals to have some work done on it and I still couldnt be happier with my decision to do so.  After taking my amp to RB3 Pedals they were able to quickly diagnose the amps issues and got back with me on a price quote for service.  I agreed to their recommendations. soon after I was playing through my amp again. night and day difference in sound. it sounded like new again!Proficient and honest business. I will definitely go to RB3 Pedals again for any of my future amp service needs.

Russ Ritchie can fix anything!!! If its digital or if its analog...it doesnt matter...his mind works differently than anyone I know in the business. He is a Genius. He makes pedals that are sturdy and well built and customized road cases that are the strongest money can buy. Support this Man and a budding business that should prosper because he deserves the business...and you deserve someone who will take care of your equipment and all your musical needs! A++

I run a recording studio and my primary form of income for the studio is getting guitar tones for clients all over the world. I have known Russ for quite a while and heard he fixed amps and electronics. So I was having problems with a few of my amps I use regularly in the studio. So I figured I would give him a shot and see how they would come out. Not only did he turn around my amps very quickly. They sounded better than they ever have since I have owned them. He has earned my business for as long as I am doing this. And wont be taking my amps to anyone else but him. Highly highly recommended and ill be sending all of my clients and other engineers I know to him for their issues.

Wonderful customer service. Russ was honest, kind and very helpful regarding the repair of my mandolin. The repair would have cost more than the mandolin. He made suggestions for another mandolin and there was no charge!

Russ and Deven are both outstanding people to work with.I took an amp in to have the bias checked, and possibly adjusted, on the power tubes. Russ performed a test by simply turning on the amp and plugging in a cable. It turns out the setting was fine as is. Russ didnt want to charge me for unnecessary bench work.I have never met anyone more knowledgeable about electronics. They also sell strings, cables, picks, slides and custom made effects pedals, all at VERY reasonable prices.I strongly recommend that you stop in for all your repair and accessory needs.Roger Sigman

I have an older, sort of obscure Dean Markley amp that I have been trying to have repaired for a few years now. I’ve taken it to multiple places in the past with no luck. I’m just over a week Russ had the amp back in perfect working order, and even made a custom channel switch pedal for me. Awesome guys at rb3, DJ is great to deal with, he explains the process and is very up front about the work being completed and the costs involved. Personable staff, amazing prices (cheapest string prices out there) and amazing craftsmanship. Highly recommended!

I brought my JSX amp in for repair. It’s a great sounding amp but is very temperamental. Russ did an incredible job. The amp sounds better than it ever sounded. The clean channel is gorgeous and the crunch channels have all the dirt you could want. There is now also zero noise. It’s actually quieter than it has ever been. Russ truly worked magic with this amp and he’s a great guy to talk with too. He made sure I understood all the work that was done. I have an old Twin Reverb that I will be bringing in soon to see what kind of magic he can squeeze out of that! Thanks again!

I brought my SVT-3 bass head to RB3 to have it repaired. Volume was cutting in and out all the time in rehearsal and had gotten to the point where it was unreliable for playing shows. Although the problem seemed to be simple at first, RB3 took the time to troubleshoot and find the root of the problem. Ultimate diagnoses was a split leg on a capacitor, which once found, was an easy enough fix in the right hands. Thank you RB3 for taking the time to find and solve the problem. This company ROCKS!

I have known Russ for about 20 years. I have always known him to be an honest guy, a great bass player, passionate musician, and I knew he ran live sound for a time so had some technical knowledge too. About a year ago I found out he had opened Rb3 and sold some strings and other stuff so when I needed some strings and picks I went to see him to support my friends new (at least as far as I knew) business. So we are there talking in his store front which has mostly just strings, picks, and accessories and I am thinking He must sell more than just these to stay in business, right? Then he shows me his shop, they are designing and building custom fx pedals, There are finished products, prototypes, and printed circuits as well as big meter and testing equipment on his bench, All nice looking stuff! They also build custom rack boxes and road cases for touring musicians they look too notch too! Then in one area there was what seems to be a bunch of amps, mixing boards, monitors, and stuff... He tells me he does repairs and these are all in line waiting to be repaired. I had no idea he had that kind knowledge about the gear we all played through...Russ hooked me up with better than average prices on the strings and stuff I needed that day, and over a short span a other friends of mine mentioned that Rb3 had recently fixed various issues on their amps and had done a great job. I own a vintage ampeg vl 502 (lee jackson design) guitar head that has been nothing but problems since I bought it. Inconsistent volume output. I have re-tubed it, 2 years ago I spent over $400 to ship it to texas to have Lee Jackson (the guy who desinged the circuit) work on it. The problems persisted. I had given up on ever being to use the amp but I had so much invested in it, I couldnt sell it either! So I took it to Russ, asked him to let me know before did anything too expensive to it. Russ found and repaired 2 bad solder joints in the printed circuit, The bias on the amp was off and had cooked of my new power tubes, he replaced them both and adjusted it, and he found a broken pin on a preamp tube, and replaced that too,and I was missing 1 knob on amp face, he got the matching one and put it on for me. All for under $90! Had to be at least $50 in parts if I bought them alone! The amp works great for the 1st time in years!I also just ordered a new kick mic through him for studio. Turns out he is a dealer a lot of big brand too!Russ is dedicated to helping out his fellow musician and hes an awesome dude. Who knew one guy could hold that much talent, knowlege, and ability all while being one of the nicest guys on the planet?? I highly recommend him and his company whatever it is you need. You wont be sorry.
