Very disappointed with the service we got. We are seniors and the person who received the car . Said they would charge 100.00 extra for excessive hair in the back seat. We have our dog for two years. There really wasnt excessive hair. My husband had to hunt down a place with vacuum to vacuum the car. We drove 5hrs. To get here . We always travel with our dog 🐕. Been a customer for 20years . Thats no. Way to treat a value customer.
I rented a full size car through Costco Travel. When I got to the location I was greeted by a very enthusiastic and happy representative. He was quick getting the paperwork completed and in minutes we were walking around the vehicle. I have to say this was the cleanest car I have ever rented. Spotless inside and out. The very polite representative made sure I was completely happy before I left. Upon returning I was greeted by another equally enthusiastic and delightful employee. She did a quick walk around and asked me if everything was perfect. Since my experience was great she offered to print a receipt or email it. Since it was quick I took the email.I would highly recommend using this location. Best rental car experience ever for me.
I rented a car from the Port Charlotte enterprise when I first got there it was so quick and easy Jessica took care of me she is the sweetest person I was late renting the car and she took care of it! If I ever rent another car I will only go to Port Charlotte enterprise and see Jessica she is sweetheart!
On 9/3, my husband and I were in a car accident that totaled our car. We moved here 3 weeks ago and know no one. The towing company suggested we call Enterprise. A driver came and picked me up and took me to the office and Jessica, who was working by herself with a number of people waiting, phones ringing, never lost her smile or her enthusiasm.She was so understanding that I was in a bad accident a couple of hours before and was patient and considerate. Her energy and kind spirit helped me through the process. Enterprise is lucky to have her. Thank you Jessica!
Earnest was phenomenal. Our car blew out a tire on the first day of our trip, so we decided to rent a replacement. Earnest had us in and out within 10 minutes while simultaneously fielding calls and greeting new customers. We rented a Chrysler 300 and it was the ride of a lifetime. We drove this car from Punta Gorda Florida all the way up to Boston Massachusetts and back. Our backs felt wonderful we were never sore and the get up and go was really there with that car.

Again, I am a satisfied customer with Enterprise. This is my second great experience. Jermaine delivered my rental to Ford where my totaled car was. He was very pleasant and patiently answered all of my questions. He waited patiently while I removed several items from my car. He even helped me put my son’s car seat into the rental. Later, I was given all of the info I needed to decide how much time and how much I’d have to pay for the rental and everyone I spoke with at Enterprise, including Jermaine, Carolina, Kevin, and another gentleman whose name I don’t remember, went above and beyond to make the experience as easy as possible. Kevin went the extra mile showing me some cars I was potentially interested in buying. I am amazed at the level of professionalism and courtesy Enterprise treats their customers. Their rates are pretty good too. I will be going back 🙂
My pickup experience was not-so-great (vehicle on empty, backup camera not functioning-not disclosed) but the manager was very accommodating when we returned the vehicle and made concessions that made up for any issues we encountered. We will definitely do business with them again because they do value their customers.

We have been renting a car since November 2020, and since day one everybody we dealt with made a point to make sure we were happy. I rented a car for 1 week on line and also used phone to contact Enterprise on Tamiami In Port Charlotte. I found them very helpful, punctual. Car ready on time. Easy to deal with. The vehicle was in excellent condition. Only a year old. When I return to Florida next year I’ll rent from them again and longer
10am reservation. Car not there. Understandably since some people dont understand the concept of returning back to the location picked up. Every single employee kept cool, calm and even headed even with the obvious frustration with some other customers who have been waiting. Upgraded us from what was supposed to be a Ford edge to a bmw with reasonable major diacounted price. Well done ladies and gents!!

I went in on a Sunday morning, they were very busy but I rented the last vehicle they had - a huge truck!Ended up keeping it for another day, no problem.Again the staff there made this a great experience, went out of their way to help me - very professional and friendly. I will definitely rent from them again.
All was going good until, we picked up a large screw in the right rear tire. Fortunately, I was parked in my driveway. Called Enterprise, on hold for over 10 minutes. Reported the problem, told it would be about an hour before someone could get to us. Decided to put the spare tire on myself. The Vehicle Jack did not operate properly. The Spare Tite It did not have enough air in it to drive. Still no service rep. Fortunately I was in my driveway, put the spare into my car drove to a local gas station and put air into the spare. Called Back to Enterprise, informed the person, what I had done, we had an appointment to get to, the damaged tire and Hubcap was sitting in my driveway, have someone pick it up. We took out trip, got home the tire and Hubcap still there. Put it in my garage. Next morning took family to Airport, home put flat tire into the van, drove to Return the vehicle. The counter person was barely any help, offered NO Compensation. I have in the past rented Vehicles from Enterprise with stellar service. THIS WAS POOR SERVICE AT BEST.
First time having to use an Enterprise or any kind of rental car company, due to an insurance claim. I was in here three separate times for different vehicles over the course of my over a month long claim. The staff were so friendly, competent, knowledgeable and professional each time, not just with me but with every single customer I witnessed them interacting with during my brief waiting times. This location has set the standard very high for anywhere else I ever end up getting a rental from!
Four stars only for the excellent customer service both by the woman who helped me when I was beginning my rental and to the same excellent service by the man who helped me upon the return of my rental. They were both great and out to please you as a customer. The only problem was the fact that the person who rented the vehicle before had definitely smoked in it; a lot. It was so bad that within the two days of rental while my car was being repaired, I did not use it and just stayed home. So, the 2nd day of the rental, the car remained in the driveway all day. The 3rd day I had to have the car back by around 4:00 pm. Just like on the way home from Enterprise after renting it, I rolled some of the windows down hoping it would help but it did not. I decided to wear a mask. That didnt help either. Both times I was in that car I got a headache and felt physically sick from the stench of cigarette smoke. It had quite an effect on me. I did receive a small discount for the problem. However, the problem was much worse than was anticipated. I always rent with Enterprise and am extremely disappointed with the quality of the car I rented.
The people there were very professional and very nice had to wait a little bit but I did not get the vehicle because they didnt tell me that I had to bring a bill with me but they were very nice and respectful

I set up a rental online 24 hours in advance for a specific vehicle type. When I arrived to pick up it was not available and no one had called to say the could not accommodate my confirmed rental. Most places will blockout vehicles on line if not available. Need better customer service.
Whent to rent a car. Deposit was $200. I didnt have proof of address at the time so I came back the next day. Deposit was now $300 and said the deposit amount changed a week ago on the 1st (it was the 3rd, do the math). Whent somewhere else that was way cheaper.
Car was ready promptly. Whatever scratched and dings were identified, and the associate, despite being short staffed, did a good job getting me in the car and on the road.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The first rental I had stunk so bad I returned it after one day. I literally could not sit in it. Obviously multiple people had a cigarette party in it, and whatever cleaner they used made it stink worse. They changed out the car without a problem. Unfortunately, the second car was almost as bad. I cleaned it myself and my hands smelled like smoke so bad afterwards it was disgusting. The car was actually fun to drive and I really liked it, . Unfortunately their non-smoking policy doesn’t seem to be enforced. You could tell at least 4 people had lit up and had a great smoking experience as the lighters in the back seat attested to.

They never gave any info about Insurance or deposit til we pick the car up. It was shocking have to buy insurance and a big deposit of 300.00 dollars. USED MY MOM CAR AND I WAS NEVER TOLD SHE HAD TO BE BUT ON AS THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY.I JUST WAS USEING HER CARD. ITS SAD I WAS NOT TOLD OF ALL THE EXTRAS AND ON. MY MOM WAS TOTALLY UPSET WITH IT BUT I HAD TO GO, SO SHE AGREED. BUT WAS SO UPSET NONE OF THIS WAS EXPLAINED TO US TIL WE WAS READY TO PAY FOR THE RENTAL.AND THE CAR WASNT READY WHEN WE GOT THERE. SORRY BUT WAS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY.
Excellent customer service! Reserved my car. Told them I needed one with extra leg room as I just had knee surgery. Wound up with a pick up truck! Worked perfect! They always take good care of me. Service has always been superior. Never a problem with bookkeeping either. Good job folks!
I exclusively rent cars from enterprise domestically. My local, port Charlotte. fl location has THE best staff. The cars are immaculate, staff is professional and friendly. The rates are always competitive. Also it is just easy to reserve. There are no hidden fees.

The car was not well maintained. There was no windshield washer fluid, the cruise control didnt work properly (hitting the accelerate/decelerate button honked the horn). They were more focused on their Halloween party than the customer service, i.e., the state of the car. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because they at least were friendly, although that did nothing for me while driving.
I rented here a few times now it has been 3 times now and each time the vehicle i received has been cleaned thoroughly on the inside which is good they take the covid precautioms seriously here and give you a clean,safe vehicle this last time it was actually very busy a long line but they stil managed to get me in and out within 15 minutes or less the staff are friendly,helpful and hard working so you wont be sitting here all day and when you do receive your vehicle you can count on it being sanitized properlythis is the best rental place around that i have seen as far as the compliance with the fairly new covid restrictions and precautions they take customer safety seriously which is great to seealso id like to thank the young gentlemen here i dropped my debit card and got lucky there was an honest customer who gave it to the young man working here and he returned it to me promptly i would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a car rental and a very clean,sanitary vehicle the employees here have been great also so i will be making this my go to car rental place
Had a fender bender, not our fault, and Enterprise was gracious enough to rent us a vehicle similar to ours while it was in the shop. We had an unexpected death in our family and flew to another state. They set up another rental so we could go to the funeral. They were very kind and helpful. There was no charge to us as the person responsible for the accident s insurance paid for everything. Will certainly do business with them again.
Appointment to pick up car was. at 9:00 am. Had to wait 40 minutes for car. Car wasn’t clean, but didn’t have time to wait. Inside had what appeared to be dog hair in the back seat. Expected more from Enterprise.
The employees were very busy and I had to wait for a while, but when they got to me they were very quick and efficient. In fact, the man who prepared my van for the long trip ahead actually found a better and newer van on the lot and let me have it, which I appreciated. The trip itself was very smooth, no problems in 1,318 miles.
The woman I dealt with in there today pressured me into purchasing a coverage that i dont even need according to my insurance company. Very rude the way she done me.
Our rental manager in Port Charlotte did a super job in getting our car ready in the middle of a hectic Monday morning rush of returned and outgoing vehicles. The reception crew at Tampa International was very efficient and we were on our way to the terminal in an instant! Great job Enterprise! We will be back! The Tinelli’s.
As always Enterprise rental car is an as expected experience on the rental side. Clean, ready to go cars and a seamless pickup and delivery. Unfortunately I am disappointed to say the location at 4509 Tamiami trail in Port charlotte is not trustworthy. My daughter had left an expensive pair of Oakley sun glasses in our rental and I had missed the fact they were in there as well. My fault in that aspect. Unfortunately the location decided to keep them as opposes to returning them. We made multiple phone calls and even stopped in asking about returning them as they are not only expensive but had sentimental value as well. I am very disappointed in this result and take full responsibility for the mistake but they should gave been honest and returned them. I will never use or recommend this location again.
I always choose Enterprise when renting a car. Their employees are without exception attentive, polite and as accommodating as possible. They always make me feel that I am important to them. In my most recent experience, because of Covid-19, they had implemented a very safe-feeling system of waiting outside (under the shelter of a shade-tent), while everyone was asked to wear a mask. I drove one-way from Florida to Colorado, and upon my arrival, realized that the return location wasnt the one Id thought it was. I called my neighborhood location and explained, and instead of telling me thered be an extra charge to return it to him, he invited me to bring it over and said hed be happy to waive the extra fee. LOVE Enterprise!

The customer service aspect was very good, however, I reserved a mid-sized passenger vehicle two weeks prior to my pick up and there were none available when I arrived there. Instead, they gave me a choice between a used Van and a Frontier truck. I had a similar problem previously with them as they apparently dont have a sizable passenger car inventory. The truck was a high bed one that was difficult to get in and out of. I recommend that they carry enough vehicles to meet the demand and allow the customer to rent the type of vehicle they reserve. If they had done that, I would rate them 5 star as the service aspect was superb and the reps were quite amiable and professional.

Jessica was very personable and efficient when we picked up the car. The car was excellent. The drop-off was totally seamless - the easiest we have ever had. The only complaint was the $75 drop-off fee for leaving the car at the airport. We thought it was a bit high. Our ride to the airport had a conflict that couldnt be resolved so we had to take the car there. We later found out we could have used an Uber for less money. But overall, it was a good rental experience.

I have been a enterprise member for a while now and always used them for all of my vehicle rentals.I reserved a rental for a 3 day weekend for work related. Came there with my friend to pick up the car everything was going good and then unfortunately the representative tells me he needs a credit card for out of state drivers. I didnt have any credit cards with me that time, i know its their policy but he could of made a exemption for that one time with my debit card, since Im in their system . Had to leave and get a car somewhere else. This was on May 13th
Been going here for the last 8 years without a problem, until today (needed to rent a car because my own car broke down) ANYWHO, I got denied because I didnt have my electricity bill in my name.. Tried to show them different types of Proof and they wouldnt accept it.THANKS to AVIS, I can go to work.Lost a loyal customer.

TURO is your competitor and as an avid TURO user i have to say that your time as a successful business is coming to a close. Watch! We need to go pick you up a vehicle and sanitize it, so it can take about 30min.Meanwhile you saw me smoking and never informed me it was non-smoking. You took my deposit, claiming is was un-rentable due to the cigarette smell.But the car was never sanitized, or even wiped down AND had trash under the seats
Was a bit disappointed in enterprise this rental. I rent alot for business and pleasure from them, actually they are my go to car rental place. I rented an economy car this trip knowing that I normally get a upgrade. Well I was called the day before pickup and asked to pick up in a location 20 minutes from where I was scheduled to pick up due to office closed over covid 19. I agreed to it. Got there and watch a lady who had no reservation book a economy car and get an upgrade right away. My turn comes an no upgrade. I then get in the car and it only has 1/2 tank of gas. The car gets extremely poor gas mileage and air was not working well. I return the car to the airport (different location) and they ask why it does not have a full tank, I returned with same amount given to me! Whole experience not happy!

If I ever rent a car it has always been from Enterprise they provide excellent fast service. To get you on your way without headache or hassle. Plus they will pick you up if you dont have a ride to rent. Most recent rental was the 2019 F-150 crew cab very pleased with the vehicle and Enterprise thanks again guys great job!

Got excellent service, but they were pricey. My car was very clean & served my purpose well. The check in and check out process was quick and easy.
I made a reservation for a luxury car through the Enterprise website for a local Punta Gorda location. I did not rent through the airport location because the difference between renting the same car for a week was $200. After Ubering to the non-airport location, I found the doors locked at 1pm on a Monday. Turns out this location hadnt been open since March. No one from the company contacted me about this prior and Enterprises own website allowed me to make the reservation. To make a long story short, I ended up at three different Enterprise locations trying to get the car that I had reserved online. Tough way to start a vacation.

We rented a car a little over a week ago for our trip to Orlando. Jade was very helpful, patient, and took good care of us. The car we rented was a Nissan Altima, and we pretty much fell in love with it. It was clean, smoke free, and drove very smoothly. Returning it was just as easy. We have already said that we will use the port charlotte location when we need to rent for our next vacation!

The Nissan Versa we were given was the worst driving vehicle we ever drove. There was something wrong with the steering that made it very hard to keep on the road. The faster you would go the worst it got. We told the attendant when we brought it back that it needed to be looked at before someone got killed driving it. Her response was, have you ever driving a small car.? My husband has been on the auto repair business his entire life and has built his own street rod. Small car wasnt the problem. No compensation was offered to make up for our experience. Enterprise Port Charlotte. Beware...
UPDATE: Not sure whats happened at my local Enterprise location in Charlotte Harbor, FL, but the lack of inventory and poor car choices has taken over. Last two rentals this year (see, I am a regular) have been the worst Ive ever encountered. Advised by staff to look down the road if the car assigned didnt work for us. Telling us we could trade it in for a different model at a different location. Im on a timeline! Thats why I booked in advance. I didnt have have time to shop around for a different vehicle. As much as Id like to stay with the Enterprise brand, it may be time to expand my horizons and see what else is out there.Quick & Easy! Always greeted by pleasant and polite staff who know how to get you on the road in no time. With a decent inventory, the vehicles are top notch and well cared for. No problems = Repeat customers.
Port Charlotte has the nicest staff. When other offices could not help me they said they would find me something. In a few minutes they had me in a vehicle and on my way. Thank you to the staff at Port Charlotte.
I had dropped my car off at Gettel Toyota in Punta Gorda, FL on 6/15/20 for service (new brakes for all 4 tires) and the service manager had called Enterprise in Port Charlotte, FL at 4:45 p.m. and put in an order for a rental car for me for Monday - Wednesday (6/15/20-6/17/20). No one from Enterprise had come with the car by 5:15 p.m., so the service manager called back Enterprise only to learn they had closed at 5 p.m. and no one would be dropping off a car. Someone, I believe Chris??, did answer one of the service managers calls eventually and informed him that no one would be coming to bring me a car. Thus, I had to take my own car back home and return to the dealership the following morning in order to get a rental car. When the Enterprise rental car arrived, it had not been washed, did not have a full tank of gas (3/4 ... which was recorded and to which I was told I only needed to return the car with 3/4 tank), and the person dropping it off did not wear a mask nor wiped down the interior of the car after using it. Finally, when I needed assistance in locating latches to hook in a car seat another (different) Enterprise man that was already at the dealership could not locate them nor did he offer any assistance in buckling in the car seat. I realize that since Gettel Toyota paid for the car, I should be simply grateful to have received a free rental. However, Enterprise is KNOWN for having some of the top customer service in the industry. In this instance, the service (or lack thereof the previous day) was extremely unprofessional and disappointing, and I hope future customers do not have the same experience. In no way was the dealership at fault. If a car from Enterprise was not available to be dropped off before 5 p.m. on 6/15/20, that should have been made known when the service manager made the call at 4:45 p.m. Or, Enterprise could have at least called the dealership back prior to closing to inform them they could not fulfill the placed order.As the customer who was waiting for a car, time was of the essence since I had a child that needed to be picked up from daycare. Furthermore, since Enterprise was aware they had already screwed up the previous day, ALL efforts should have been made to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer including washing the car, wiping down the interior, and offering assistance to put in a car seat. In this period of time of a pandemic, businesses must work even harder to ensure they have returning customers. I, for one, will not use the Port Charlotte, FL Enterprise rental car business again, nor will I recommend it to others.
Apparently this office has an arrangement with the local Nissan dealer to handle an influx of people needing rentals for 1-2 days for a Nissan recall. Very well done. Shuttles a short distance the offices.

Everything went as well as expected under the problems posed by COVID-19. The only issue is they lost my reservation, but was able to give me the vehicle class that I requested at the expected price.

Great service, quick check in and out. EZ debit card reservations. Clean cars and nice selection of vehicles. I reserved the rate where they chose my vehicle and received a brand new Nissan Frontier for under $40 a day with taxes!! My favorite place to rent a car. Also, if you join their rewards club (which is free) you get discounted rates from the beginning and earn reward points towards rentals.
Great price and good service. WARNING!!! When agent does the car inspection, go with him,or her, and PAY ATTENTION. I returned my car, agent noticed a chip on the windshield, told me they do not charge for glass damage, do not worry about it. I disputed claim. Am waiting outcome. Letter DID NOT describe damage or cost of repair. If you dont respond they bill your credit card. My personal car insurance company covers rental cars. BE CAREFUL-PAY ATTENTION-ASK QUESTION-DONT HESITATE TO TAKE YOUR OWN PICTURES. Ive rented there 3 or 4 other times and never had a problem. Hope this helps folks in the future.

I was a walk in on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation they had me on the road within 15 minutes. Will use them again when Im in the area. It was difficult getting picked up when I was first without my vehicle. I spoke to three people and gave them the address I was at each time, finally I called and the gentleman that answered had no clue where I was, and I had been waiting for an hour. I would have to say that the customer service was pretty good, the employees were nice and caring in person. The only other problem that I had was that I was working through my lawyer who was in contact with an insurance company of the person who was at fault in the accident, but I would not stop getting hassled by Enterprise, they must have called me 3 times a day and left numerous voicemails about payment of my rental when the other persons insurance was responsible for that and I was under enough stress as it was being in an accident and without a vehicle. Hopefully Enterprise can work on improving these issues in the future! Have a good one.
The employees are always so friendly here. They always explain everything and make the transaction super quick and simple. Ive enjoyed every interaction Ive had with Enterprise!
These people were great here. The manager, I think her name was Tiffany, was really helpful, and was willing to go above and beyond to accommodate us. Others there had a positive attitude, too. The car was nice and clean. Highly recommend.
Very nice and clean place. fast service, they came and picked me up gave me the car that i asked for. i would use them again.
Excellent customer service. Even called a couple of times to check on our trip. And called after we got home to make sure our trip and the vehicle was good.
