Had a great experience with Joni Vento one of the representatives as she toured me around. She was very hospitable. I was concerned COVID she informed me about their cleaning schedule and procedures. They now how cleaning bottles at the front desk for each person.I was suspicious with another location I attended but the pompano beach location seems to be on it. I ended up signing up for this location.Looking forward to getting going.

Great gym, better than most of Browards locations. Ample room, a variety of machines, and plenty so you really dont wait long to use. Dont get me wrong, some peoples gym etiquette needs to revisited, but that happens every where. What Im most concerned about is things that are included in ones membership arent available, and havent been available in months. I.E. THE SAUNA. There is no accountability other than to say, they keep breaking it, and pour liquid on the rocks. All the while the contraption that heats the sauna looks like it was manufactured in the 70s. And of course, still collecting dues from its patrons and saving on said sauna. To them theyre saving while its broken. Ha! Capitalism at its finest. Can you imagine if one withheld their monthly dues because they couldnt use the leg press? Youd be X-ed almost immediately. Just an observation.

I like it here, thankfully I have a travel membership. Options are always nice to have when having a gym membership. Not all LA gyms are created equally. This one is pretty big compared to some, and better equipped. Though it is newer compared to other LAs in the area.

Came into LA Fitness for a guest pass and I met Matt and Kevin, Did the FIT TEST and loved it, I reached a whole new level by doing it because it will help me track my progress and my Achievements. (Join this gym👍👍👍👍

Very nice and big location, first time here & enjoy the atmosphere. My friend and i were taken care of by Matt, very bubbly and fun personality, gave us a tour as well as explained the machines accordingly and gave nice tips for when working out, also we took an easy fit test which wasn’t as bad as I pictured and they explained the test etc for where we need to be. Plenty of equipment and clean.

Matt was great, he did the walk around with us and we decided to to actually sign up today. He showed us how to use a lot of the equipment, which gave us great guide of where we would like to start with this journey. I really enjoyed the fitness test, atleast i know where I’m starting off so I can do it again in the future to see my progress .

Came in for a day pass, took a tour, experienced a fit test. Met wonderful personalities. Joan Vento was super helpful, made me feel super welcomed and was super engaging.

The facility was alright. Its a gym so I didnt except as much as they had available, however a day pass is very expensive ($17/ person) even though their website says you can get a free five day pass. Which was never offered to us.We were happy to be able to get a good sweat on, but no one was wearing any kind of face coverings, even though they had signs stating LA Fitness requires it.Overall just an OK place.

GM Ryan Sewell is a superstar!! He was very professional and knowledgeable in signing me up for the gym. I have had negative experiences in the past and this was a very pleasant sign up experience. The gym is very clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend anyone looking for a gym to join this gym.

Sauna has been broken for like 6 months. They have somehow a budget for sales manager but not for broken equipment. #unsolvedmysteries

This gym is good. When I first started coming here it was reasonably filled but now no matter what time you go it’s hella packed. Also the men’s sauna has been out of service for like two months now and that’s annoying. Another thing, they need to add more thigh curl machines there’s only two and one of them is the better one. Sooooo LA please add like five more I’m tired of not being able to use it

Came into LA Fitness, pompano beach. Met with Kevin, Jonie and did a fit test. Had so much fun, decided not use the guest pass, but join.

Member since the facility was opened.Always clean, organized, with well maintained equipment.Even if group session trainer gives a short notice, the management finds a replacement.

Great atmosphere everyone is friendly and helpful especially the staff. Everyone is Temperature tested as You enter the facility which is great! My new Gym!

Had to block their number these people won’t stop calling or emailing. Was turned off by harassing employees will just have to make the drive to planet fitness.

I wouldn’t ever sign up for LA Fitness again after what I went through trying to suspend/cancel my membership. I had a change in my work schedule that prevented me from utilizing my membership for a few months. I reached out asking how to cancel as I didn’t want to pay for a membership when I was uncertain as to when I would be able to use it again. The customer service on a corporate level is absolutely terrible. You can’t reach them and when they finally do respond they tell you that you either need to print out documents sign them and get them back to them or go into the gym and process a cancellation. Since I couldn’t print the documents I went into the gym. Then they tell me that I have to speak to the manager to cancel. Well, the manager only works till 5 pm. So any normal person that works a 9-5 pm job isn’t able to do that unless they leave work solely to cancel a membership. Why is all of this necessary? Yes, you might get an extra month or two of membership fees out of someone because you make it hard to cancel. But why treat your customers like this? It’s absurd. Do you expect people to do business with you after you put them through this? Add into that there is an element of trying to shame a person into not canceling by doing it this way. It’s just in many ways such a horrible practice.The gym manager at this location actually did his job and processed the cancellation but only after I had to pay for two additional months I didn’t use.I will say this gym is decent. It’s a bit too crowded most of the time and with covid, you don’t get many of the amenities you pay for.

Its a good gym. The workers can be a bit passive sometimes, but everything else seems good.

Parking is decent, staff at the front desk are always nice and welcoming, pool needs renovation, gym overall needs also a big renovation especially the disgusting floors and machine are old/filthy. In fact, some seem to always be broken or taken most of the time regardless the time of the day so what’s the point of continuing being a member? All of this is irritating and most members are rude anyway and don’t clean their sweat after utilizing the machines which is scary given we’re in the middle of a pandemic. For me even if they offered me the gym for free I would still not go to LA fitness. Cancellation was easy as 1-2-3 so not sure why some reviews stated the contrary. Goodbye LA fitness!

I have been working out here since I came back from Costa Rica for some recoup after some crashing about.The gym has two levels and is loaded with equipment. You usually dont have to wait for too long. Everything is pretty well maintained.The classes there are a lot of fun . I know people miss going out and I can see why. Come early classes full up.

Excellent staff, extremely clean, all types of individual and group activities & modern equipment to choose from and just a great place to workout. My personal trainer KEVIN is exceptional - and I couldnt be happier with the diet and exercise regime he has me on. The results have been exceptional. Highly recommend this great facility in this awesome city.

Never thought I’d walk into a gym and say I had a “car dealership” experience. Signed up online for a free 5 day trial for this location. Once I’m in one of the reps told me I couldn’t use the free pass unless I was a member, like what? What’s the point of even offering the FREE trial if you wouldn’t even honor it. The rep was nice and went over that it was a recent change in policy and said he’d talk to his manager.Manager gets involved and basically gives me the same sales pitch, and comes off pretty irritated and it’s not even 8:30 am. Seemed like no matter what options they gave me, my only option was to sign up and not get to use my FREEEEEEEE trial pass.Not saying all of LA is this way, but don’t let the funny looking dude with the cheap Gucci belt pressure you into doing anything. The other employee I forgot to get his name but, he’s cool. For sure looks to be a toxic environment for workers and should be noticed.

Ive been to varios LA fitness and this one takes the award for being the most disorganized. No one racks free weights after they use, staff does absolutely nothing to enforce nor do they ever organize free weight. Its very frustrating when searching for a particular dumbell, you have look through the entire 2nd floor.

With COVID variants raging I would have expected masks and spaced spinning bikes and equipment. No wonder FL is leading in transmission. And the wall sanitizer dispensers will take twice as long as the spray bottles to sanitize the equipment.

Maintenance is slow w repairs, paper towels out, 3 door locks missing fr bathroom doors for months.

Love this place, staff is always friendly and always happy! Aukeem and Alex help me whenever needed and the environment is great, very safe.

I signed up for personal training for six months. I didnt realize that it automatically just kept going after the six months. So it billed me several more times before I caught it. I went to get a refund and was told no.I became a member before this location was open. This is definitely not how to make your customer feel valued.

Great hammer strength and free weights

Staff is great, machines are always in working order . The only thing that bugs me are the people who load up the free weights then when done walk away... Or the ones that that cant help but to take selfies then go on to chat in between sets. Other that that the place is great ..

Crowded, Filthy, and rude staff. It is actually the dirtiest and unorganized fitness club/gym I have ever been to. People making workout videos, slamming weights, and leaving them all over the floor in random places.

I mean it has a very nice equipment options, but is incredibly dirty and messy. During a pandemic you think that mild cleaning would be implemented but it appears as if no thought is going into that with the lack of masks and cleanliness. Sadly this gym has a rather large Haitian member based which in general means weights are left everywhere as well.

One of the nicer outposts in the chain. Clean, newer, pleasant environment. Even under the current Covid restrictions, a good workout venue. (Peak times in-season can be busy.)

Best Gym Ive been to in my life. The lighting is great. I really enjoy how clean it always is and how friendly the staff is. May is the best manager also.

If you love leaking roofs and hunting for matching handle attachments for the cable machines then this gym is for you.

Over the past few weeks, it’s extremely disappointing to not be able to use the sauna. Almost every time I’ve been to the gym, it’s been out of order. One of the sole reasons I come to this gym is to use this. It’s getting ridiculous at how long it’s been down, as this membership is not cheap by any means.

The staff are super rude. Dumbbells are all over the place. Most ppl have no ethics, never re-rack weighs and etc. Bad vibe overall.

Good,but I missed the jacuzzi! I hope its open soon!

Very organized, a lot of very professional hygiene

Parking lot is full of trash, no one ever picks it up. Not a good sense of arrival for a ‘health club’. Staff at front desk barely engaged and only half heartedly check temps. No one is managing the mask ordinance, and there is non-compliance everywhere. Weights lying around. Cleanliness is very poor with dirty carpets, used paper towel all over the machines and floor. It’s actually gross. Not sure who the manager is here but they are not engaged or even care. Extremely poor and I feel unsafe environment.

The girls tonight seemed a bit rude asking me what Im gonna do at the gym . Like what ??? Who asks that?? What do people do at the gym ?? Anyway the shower is always cold here for some reason.

Mike was phenomenally helpful; showed me the entire facility, was able to answer every question I had and made me feel confident about pursuing a new fitness journey and I couldn’t be happier for finally finding a home gym I’m comfortable at.

Love this location. Personal training with Brandon Morgan is LIT. He trains with fun, energy and above all, knowledge and care. He communicates and listens and creates an environment where I look forward to coming in and working out. The manager, May and training director, Akeem are also fantastic. Always helpful and awesome customer service. I appreciate you all!

Good gym, nice staff, plenty of space and equipment. 4 stars only because there could be more of an updated/equipped functional training space - but all in all theyve done that pretty well, too.

It’s LA Fitness, I won’t give 5 stars because little be messed inside, but the stuff members is very friendly.

I became a member in 2017 and have had no problems. I mainly take the classes and use the weights. The gym is clean and the instructors are superb. My 75 year old mother came to visit me for two weeks and the two managers May and Brianna gave her a two week pass to enjoy the water aerobics. Both ladies were professional and sweet to my mom without no harassing sales pitch. If my mother moves to Florida she will definitely enroll. After my experience with these two fine managers we give this facility 5 stars. I am a super happy customer 🤗

Everyday someone’s car gets broken it to not only the break the windows but they take what ever you have in your car and they still haven’t put a security to watch that parking lot

I love it there everything is so nice and clean the people that work there in the staff are very helpful and make sure everybody wears their masks it keeps their distance I feel extremely safe there

Love LA FITNESS. I have been a member for over ten years now.When I first joined I was at the Tamiami location in Miami. I moved to Pompano Beach about four years ago. LA fitness opened a brand new gym here and it is wonderful as well. They have very good instructors that are always cheerful and have great knowledge about their exercises.I lost over eighty pounds when I first started by enrolling in water-fitness classes and attending them religiously three times a week for a period of two years. I was a size 22! and now am a size 12. Now I no longer take the water fitness classes because of the hassle of having to get wet. I moved on to yoga, spinning and lately my favorite, body fitness Love LA Fitness. My favorite instructors are Lisa and Joseph.Highly recommend this LA Fitness Location. It is life changing if you put effort on your part.

First, I have problem with the machines. They dont adjust them right. For example, there are many machines where two parts need to be brought together but the cables are adjusted unequally, making these two handles meet off from the middle. This makes unequal effort for different sides. And this goes on for years. Whoever is in charge of upkeep needs to be fired. Or maybe his manager. Just goes to show that there is no attention to details and a general dont-give-a-fk state of affairs.Secondly, car break-ins seem to happen regularly and it goes to show that nothing has changed right from when they just opened. It was a problem from the very beginning. Still is. Id guess they wont shell out for a solution. Each coming there is a lottery, is your car next?

Ms. Silvia in the kids club is the such a caring childcare provider. She truly takes pride in what she does. Always bringing in new toys and books for the kids. Very engaging and positive with the children. As a mother of two small toddlers it makes me feel 100% safe leaving them with her and knowing how much she cares for them. LA Fitness in Pompano Beach is one of my favorite gyms. This location is clean and has the most modern up to date equipment. You do not need to worry about ever feeling isolated and lonely in this gym because the moment you walk into this place you feel the energy. The classes and instructors in this LA Fitness facility are exceptional. The Sales team is by far the greatest. The sales team member Sean is by far the best. No high pressure sales tactics. Once you become a member the entire staff is ready and available to help you reach your fitness goals. All of the areas are meticulous and clean and well kept. The swimming pool area is one of the better ones for a fitness facility in the area.

I have been good at spraying and wiping my machines before and after use; however, many times there are no bottles available.Also, I have been wearing my mask at all times on the floor (which makes me hyperventilate much more) but see many people not following the rules

The best La Fitness in South Florida. I appreciate the staff members; May, Akeem and my favorite trainer Brandon Morgan. They’re attentive, supportive and inviting. The gym is routinely cleaned and maintained - highly recommended.

It was phenomenal! The GM-May, was very accomodating and courteous. She was also very honest and straightforward when it came to $$$. On my return visit, my trainer, John, really put me through the paces as he evaluated my physical capabilities. All in all I am very happy I decided to join. Not only do they have excellent equipment, but the gym itself is huge. It also has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and my personal favorite, the Sauna.

Not sure when this place became a Psych/Detox facility health club for the local halfway houses. I work in an acute psych detox facility and now I have to run into my former patients when I’m trying to enjoy my workout with my family. Love the gym but this move is a huge discomfort and you are putting others in danger. Imagine when one of these guys relapse and are on heavy equipment or have a breakdown and attack an innocent bystander working out. Please fix this.

This is the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. No matter how packed it is there’s always machines and gym equipment available for use. Shawn, the sales rep who signed me up was amazing. He gave me every last detail I needed to know when I first came in. I didn’t have any questions about anything by the time I signed up. If he’s not the manager of that location they should definitely promote him because he’s very welcoming, patient, experienced, knowledgeable and always has a smile.

I come here for a couple classes a week. while i love my instructors, this gym isnt very clean at all. i think a place like a gym should be extra clean. not dirty like this one.

Great place to help accomplish your health and fitness goals

I actually like this gym very much. The problem is they dont enforce the rules with weights being put together where they should be put together. I spend 30% on my time picking up after the steroid users who just throw their s*** on the floor. I find it very annoying. Theres no ground support. Theyre mostly intrigued in motivated to sell memberships. Its still a beautiful establishment. But they have to focus on more control of the steroid users who just throw their s*** on the floor.
