I have used Jeff (Mayhew Agency) for my association insurance needs for over 10 years. Anytime I have a question about my policies, he explains them to me in great detail. Jeff has met with both associations that I am involved with and was able to explain the complicated requirements of the association and the personal policies that are needed to protect the association members personal property. Jeff always seems to be in the office when I call, if hes not, youll get a call back from him in short order. Jeffs support staff has a wide range of knowledge as well. I was told by an agent that I have been overpaying 50+ dollars per month for at least the past three years, not once was this brought to my attention. I would have hoped that my agent would have my best interests in mind, quite naive on my end, I know. I was also recently surprised with paying an extra deductible when I went to pick up my vehicle. I expected to go in and pay what was agreed upon in the adjusters statement, but without my knowledge they decided I needed to pay twice that amount. These are not business practices that I can support any longer and am dropping them as my insurance provider.

I was one of Jeffs 1st customers and have been with him and his company since. Jeff has always been just a phone call away regardless if we have purchased a new car our filed a claim on our property. Kudos to the Jeff and his Team, because there are few left. I highly recommend Jeff and his team.

Worked with Jeffs agency for over 5 years until I moved out of state this past year since AmFam doesnt operate in California. Jeff and Shirley were fantastic and easy to get a hold of anytime I had an issue.In fact, just late last year, I got into my first auto accident in 20 years, and the process of filing the auto claim was simple and painless. I finally got out of contract with this agency and sure am glad to not have to deal with Jeff anymore!Jeff Mahew found me on facebook and then threatened and harassed me to change my previous review and rating. It is a shame that an owner of a company would go to that level to change a review. I tried even suggesting to him how he should have resolved the problem, but instead he went further to harass me more and be unprofessional about the whole matter. I have the full conversation documented to prove this happened to me and I hope that this would never happen to anyone else in the future.

My insurance choice since I first needed insurance.

I am writing to let you know that on Oct. 13, 2021, I will be a customer of American Family Insurance for 50 years!On Oct. 13, 1971, I turned 16 and got my driver’s license. Everyone remembers that day. I got coverage on my parents’ family plan through American Family Insurance.After college, I needed my own auto policy. I looked in the phone book and called the Randy Svendsen Agency in Plymouth. After purchasing a home, we added a homeowners and an umbrella policy. I stayed a customer of Randy’s and LuAnn’s agency until their retirement. We considered Randy and LuAnn to be part of our family. They met me as a single woman, saw me get married, have 2 kids and buy a house.Why did I remain a customer for so long? The service is outstanding and people who work for AMFAM care about their customers beyond just getting a paycheck. Of course I can get lower cost insurance elsewhere; but I can’t put a price on excellent service.The service excellence with the Mayhew Agency is the same as it’s been for me the last 50 years.
