I’ve been taking classes at Ahn’s for 7 years. Master Ahn pushes me to improve and work harder each class. The exercise is great. My flexibility and conditioning have improved far beyond any expectations I had. Everyone in class is very supportive of each other. I highly recommend this school.

I started taking classes with Master Ahn last January. Before taking classes, I had no martial arts experience and was nervous about starting something new. Thankfully, Master Ahn is extremely patient and knows how to push students to do their best while having realistic expectations about the students skill level. I enjoy coming to class and leave more confident then when I walked in the door. The other students are friendly and make you feel welcome as well. I would recommend Master Ahn for students of all ages and levels of experience.

I was a student of Ahns taekwondo for the last 13 years, since i was 5 years old and it has been one of the most important experiences of my life. Not only did I learn how to defend myself and and keep my body in shape physically, but I learned several life skills that made me who I am today and will continue to help me throughout life. Master Ahn is a fantastic teacher that makes it his goal to ensure that every student becomes the best that they can be.

He is a very good master and teaches everything to you. He is like a father to all of kids there and takes care of them and we’re part of that big family. They do self defense also in advanced class. He is one of a kind and we’ve have tried multiple institutes and this is by far the best. This program is worth every little penny.My son is been going there for the last 3 years.

Me and my sisters have attended Ahns for about 8 years and love it. Going to Ahns has allowed me to develop a higher level of self esteem and has also allowed me to be prepared for any situation that may arise in the real world. Furthermore, going to Ahns has helped me lose weight that I wouldve not otherwise done so. If youre looking for a place to train and learn from the best, Ahns is the place to go. My grandson who is 8 years old absolutely loved Master Ahn and his classes! Master Ahn made the classes so fun and varied so that the students never got bored with the same routines. He is very personable with his students, tough but caring. His classes and teaching methods are one of the best I have seen. I started training at Ahn’s TKD in 1994. Ahn’s TKD is a legitimate martial arts school, not a “black belt factory” where any individual can easily and quickly obtain a black belt (usually in some type of one-off, made-up style). In the early 1970s Grand Master Ye Mo Ahn migrated from Korea to Dallas and established Ahn’s TKD to provide the same martial arts instruction that he received in Korea. I have continued with Ahn’s TKD since 1994 because it’s one of the few legitimate martial arts schools in the DFW area and because Master Chun Ahn is not only a talented instructor, he is an exceptional person.For 25+ years I’ve watched Ahn’s TKD students come and go. The serious students mostly achieved their goals and the schemers / pretenders quit. Master Ahn tends to become invested in his serious students, bringing them into an extended family. Time after time I’ve witnessed Master Ahn’s positive impact on his students. He has connected with and positively influenced a wide spectrum of younger students ranging from those that go on to obtain advanced degrees from universities such as MIT to those with behavioral and / or mental challenges. I see so many former students visit the school when they are in town for the holidays that there can be no doubt as to the enduring, positive impact that Master Ahn has had in their lives. Master Ahn is one of the most honest, hard-working, talented, and big-hearted instructors that you will find anywhere in the world.

I highly recommend this school! Master Ahn is very knowledgeable and takes the time to thoroughly teach and perfect each student on an individual basis. There are many higher rank belts that also help with instruction so no one is left out. Everyone is treated with the same respect regardless of age or rank. Exercise is also part of the training to help condition the body along with the mind. The studio is very large with a fully padded floor and mirrors for form training. Bags, kicking pads, sparring equipment is available for everyone to use. This family oriented school is by far the best in Texas. Again, I highly recommend learning from Master Ahn if you have a desire to push yourself to the limit to see what your body and spirit are truly capable of!

I learned from Master Ahn as a child in the 90s, and I brought my kids back here last year. Theres nobody like him. Hes tough on the kids, but he knows how to draw out their best. Teaches them to look adults in the eye and offer a firm handshake. The boost in self esteem is amazing, as are the life skills the kids learn. If youre on the fence, just go watch a class and meet him yourself.

Absolute love Master Anh classes for my nephew. I’ve taken my nephew to Judo, jujitsu, Wushu, and another TKD class - by far Master Ahn’s is the best. He’s stern and disciplined with the kids. It’s perfect. Exactly what my nephew needs.

I have gone to Ahns Taekwondo for more than 10 years and I can definitely vouch for how great this place is. Master Ahn has taught me how to defend myself, respect others, and discipline myself. Though he may be strict sometimes, he is definitely acting in his students best interests. I do not know if I would be in the place I am today if not for his guidance. I highly recommend that people learn under him.

I have been attending Ahns Tae Kwon Do, for the past nine years. Prior to joining I was overweight, cumbersome and had little pride in my accomplishments. However once I joined I noticed immediate results. The classes provide great aerobic exercise, and his class teaches you to push yourself to the limits. I found myself able to run faster, swim farther, and accomplish anything I put my mind to. Master Ahns genuine care for both the sport and his students makes him, undoubtedly, the best teacher and mentor anyone can ask for. He teaches with a strict yet supportive method that has time and time again reformed every student he has taught. Signing up for Ahns Tae Kwon Do has, without question, been one of the best decisions of my life.

My son has been going to this class since he was 5, this was the best thing happened to him, he loved this class and master Ahn. This class teaches kids a different level of disciplines and focus. It helps lot to build the confidence and strength . My son was very active when he was young, this class and Master has taught to drive this energy in right direction. Master Ahn has been so amazing for our son with autism. He is working on his Red 1 belt! We wanted to build his self confidence and ability to defend himself. Ahns Taekwondo has been one of the best things weve done for him. They get it!

I attended Ahns Tae Kwon Do from when I was a small child until I graduated high school. What sets this institute apart from others is its excellent instruction. Every student receives the individual and specialized attention to achieve their physical and mental potential. Master Ahn is a true expert of martial arts and fitness in general. He knows exactly how hard to push students so that gain the most from the experience. The training is also very safe. I went to class five times a week for over a decade, and I can count the number of injuries I witnessed on one hand. However, its the mental aspect of the training that is most valuable, especially for children and teenagers. Discipline, diligence, respect, and confidence are all learned there by daily reinforcement. Overall, the classes are a great environment where people all ages can have fun and improve themselves.

All three of my children have been attending Master Ahns school for the last 7 years. In that time they have achieved black belt status, but apart from that and the physical aspects the real life lessons taught here are invaluable. My boys have learned respect, discipline, patience, work-ethic, compassion and confidence. My daughter has learned all these as well as the skills to protect herself in life.

I have been training at Master Ahns studio for over 10 years. Master Ahn not only put effort into teaching someone self defense but also to be a better person. His methods are tough at times and he does demand a large amount of effort from his students. Practicing with master Hahn was one the best experience I have had since coming to Dallas. What I especially liked is how he mixes cardio with bodyweight training. Each class will you make your lungs feel two deflated balloon and muscle soft and tender like fried chicken breasts. All age welcome. This school will give you a different perspective on Taekwondo.

I took Tae Kwon Do from Ahns as a teenager. I learned self defense & gained confidence in myself. As an adult, I brought my kids to Ahns to study Tae Kwon Do as well. My kids have improved their focus and their grades. They have also learned leadership skills, gained self discipline, & made many friends in their Tae Kwon Do classes. The kids classes are educational, but fun. The adult classes offer a great workout regardless of your fitness level. I highly recommend Ahns Tae Kwon Do.

I’ve learned discipline, respect, and so many valuable traits while I was being taught by master ahn. He’s a really good instructor and I highly recommend that people should go there if they want their kids to learn discipline and/or how to defend themselves.

My 7 year old son has been taking lessons with Master Ahn for 6 months now and he absolutely loves it! When I was younger both my sister and I attended Master Ahns school through our black belts and I couldnt wait to get my son started. I still remember lots of the skills I learned 20 years ago. The confidence my son now has and the look on his face when he got his yellow belt was priceless. Everyday after school the first thing he asks me is if we are going to Tae Kwon Do today. I have confidence after only 6 months that he can defend himself and can already see how what he learns at Tae Kwon Do transfers over very well to help him with the other sports he plays, especially baseball. I would highly recommend Master Ahn!

My children started lessons with Master Ahn at Ahns TaeKwonDo nearly 5 years ago after taking classes at two other schools. They enjoy coming to their lessons 2-3 times a week. Master Ahn offers lessons 5 days a week and flexibility in terms of class times.The instruction, interaction and assessments are of high quality. Our daughter had Taekwondo at another facility in Plano run on the lines of a puppy farm. Lots of kids going through the motions but no mastery of anything. She was unable to do a proper pushup after almost two years of attendance. We changed to Ahns Taekwondo on Coit, which was a totally different experience. She has really made progress with Master Ahn. She respects him as we do, he is committed to teaching and expects the kid to give her best. There are no easy belt tests. When she gets a belt she has to really earn it. If you ou are keen to learn TKD and wish for an exceptional and ethical experience, this is it.

Master Ahn is the best TaeKwonDo instructor. My two children and I were students of his for up to ten years. Three of us got a black belt, and my kids even continued to be his students until they both got third degree black belts. I believe that he taught us a lot of discipline, and to my children, this lesson is very beneficial to them when they go to college.Personally I enjoyed learning TaeKwonDo from him because he teaches himself; not just delegating tasks to any student, which make him different from other schools. Master Ahn really teaches his students to the best ability that he can, and I know this because I had a different martial arts background from my youth, and I still learned tremendously from Master Ahn.I would strongly recommended any parents to send their kids to his school. Summer of 2007, we enrolled our seven year old son with Master Ahn in Plano. Training with Master Ahn and his team through daily classes, belt tests, tournaments and summer camps, shaped our son physically and mentally from a small boy to a strong, joyful and a confident young man with now a 3rd degree black belt. Over the last eleven years, Master Ahn brought out the best in him through his high standards of expectation in training and personal behavior, and by example instilled in him teamwork and respect for others. Watching this transformation in our son very early on, we soon enrolled our younger two daughters with Master Ahn, who each have earned their own black belts respectively. Through tough love and good humor, he became a mentor to our son and taught our kids how to be respectful to others while standing up for themselves. Our kids look forward to training and they come back home from training everyday-happier, calmer and more confident. As parents, we have trusted Master Ahn to do the best for our kids because he treats them with respect and helps them unlock their potential. They work out in class together as a team and the respect they have towards each other is truly inspiring. We are lucky to have had Master Ahn coach and guide each of our three kids.

Master Ahn is by far the best TKD coach in the area! Our son, who is turning 7 this year, has been with Master Ahn for almost a year. My son has been with Master Ahn for over three years now. We placed him there to get excercise and self confidence . We also wanted him to know how to take care of himself if needed. Master Ahn has been great in all three counts. Even at age eight, I see that Jacob has learned to be more focused when he needs to be. Master Ahns stern attentive instruction was perfect for my son and I recommend his studio for adults and children .

My fiancé and I put our son in Master Ahns childrens class after being bullied by neighborhood kids. We wanted to feel that our son had the knowledge to defend himself if need be. I have been a student of Master Ahn’s for 10 years and have a third degree black belt. Master Ahn is byfar the best instructor in the area. I’ve visited some of my friend’s studios and can clearly see that Master Ahn instills confidence and discipline in his students not only for the period of a class but also in his student’s lives. Everything is earned by the student, not given. It is without Taekwondo that I would not be the person today. I’ve learned leadership skills that I apply to my daily life, confidence in my own skills as well as in others, and discipline that I apply to any and every situation. Although I may not be in Plano as I go to college in Austin now, I still maintain contact with Master Ahn on a regular basis. I know that I can trust him for help in Taekwondo and life. Although what we practice in the studio is all on a hypothetical basis and to prepare us for any situation, I have had to use these skills in the real world. (Nothing too scary) And I can say that without a doubt, the skills that Master Ahn teaches his students are effective and he has our best interests at heart. I encourage anyone to try Taekwondo. It is well worth the investment of your time, effort, and money.

I trained and attended Ahns Tae Kwon Do for 17 years. I have zero doubt that Master Ahn is the best taedwondo instructor in the area. Master Ahn is first and foremost my taekwondo instructor, but over the years, hes become a second father to me. I began his classes when I was 7 simply to learn martial arts, and - for my parents - to improve my health (I was sickly). As I am now, I can say that Ive come away with much more than I had hoped for. Master Ahns teaching style is not like other schools youll find. Master Ahn is tough on his students, and by that I mean is he has expectation for each and every one of them. Many times, I would be pushed to my limits only to find myself surprised. I would be surprised by doing things I never knew or thought I would be able to do. Master Ahn not only built me into a martial artist and athlete, but he also helped me build my own confidence that I still carry proudly today. The things that Ive gained from Ahns Tae Kwon Do are more than my words can express, but I will say that everything that Ive gained has shaped me into the person I am and has helped me get as far as Ive gotten today. Years later, I still keep in touch with Master Ahn.
