My son just started and his first class last week and LOVES it! They are very well organized and structured which is perfect for kids. I am very excited to watch him grow and learn all the wonderful qualities that karate has to offer.

If you put the time in the instructors here will help guide you on your goals and do their best to help you become the best you can possibly be. I just sighed up my boys to this school.This school teaches respect and discipline like a Japanese martial art school. I am completely happy with the way they teach my boys. In every class, there are enough instructors to really pay attention to every student. Very kind and strong teachers.They love Karate, and they do care about students. They work on building a team spirit as well. They had a nerf gun pizza party last Friday to let them all have fun together. It was awesome.We are so into this school. My grandson has been attending The Academy Of Classical Karate in Plano for almost a year and really enjoys attending. All of the staff, lead by Sensai Brody Burns is fantastic and truly inspiring. We started here almost 2 years ago for my younger daughter. Weve been extremely pleased with her progress and what she is learning. The instructors here are all highly skilled and compete all over the world and really know how to connect well with the kids. My son has been a student since 2015 and I joined the parent class in 2016. We both love this dojo. From the first day, everyone was very welcoming and encouraging. I hardly ever write reviews, but I wanted to take time and thank Academy of Classical Karate School and the staff for the amazing work they do with kids and adults. My nephew has been attending this school for over 5 years. He has improved tremendously not only on learning the techniques but learning karate as discipline, honor and respect. I really respect this school. Starting off here, it was very interesting to not only learn the movements, but also understand the values of karate. I think that there is a well balanced blend of excercise, fighting, and culture taught by instructors here; they are well knowledged about the history/techniques and can answer every question I ask them. I also appreciate how patient the instructors are with me, being a slower learner and all.The students here are mature yet friendly. I become a better person hanging around my peers here. When Our son was diagnosed with ADHD, I had heard that Karate was good to teach focus and discipline. He was 5 at the time. He is now 17 and doing well in school, his involvement with this team both training and competing has been key to his success. We trust the coaches 100% and are blessed to have such amazing role models for our son.

I did my research to find a good karate place before deciding on this dojo on 1/2018. Our experience has been wonderful and our daughter loves coming to class. Senpai Scott and all the other instructors are patient, warm, yet disciplined. Great role models! I started karate wanting to learn self-defense and feel better about myself. I started out very timid, and would cry before starting sparring rounds. Now, I am a Pan-American bronze medalist and a second-degree black belt. These accomplishments came from the guidance of the amazing instructor core at the dojo (school), the hard-working students, and the high expectations that fill the area. Regardless of the reason why karate may call to you, Academy of Classical Karate is wonderfully life-changing, and I would recommend that every one try it. This dojo is a very serious and strict place. It teaches their students how to act and behave inside and out of the dojo. I’ve been to many dojos over the years and this one is the best by far. Amazing sensei who looks after his students as if they were his own, and great teachers and senpais. It takes a lot to earn your belts in this dojo and you know when you see a black belt walking around you know they deserve and earned it, they have amazing knowledge of the sport and they all kick butt! If you come to Texas or just want to start karate this dojo is the best choice.

We started classes at the dojo when my daughter was 4 years old; she’s now almost 16 and we all agree this has been one of the best decisions we ever made for her.We have watched many students progress through the ranks, and it is a joy to attend each well-deserved promotion. I have been a member of this Dojo since 2007. I can honestly say that it was a life changing experience. I learned many things other than just punching and kicking, things like great traits and principles to live by. One of my favorite things is the dedication of the instructors, they are there to help, teach and guide you in the right direction. Also that this dojo teaches traditional Japanese karate, not many places around can directly trace their roots to japan and teach LEGITAMITE Japanese style karate. I have seen a huge growth in students after they start training in this Dojo. This dojo will definitely teach students that everything is earned and that they should work hard always to accomplish all of their dreams.The bottom line is that this Dojo is the best place to train Karate. This dojo has USA National Karate Team members, including the USA National Karate Team Captain, has black belts with over 20-25 years of experience, instructors who are also teachers at local ISD (Dr.Garcia who is a principal at Dallas ISD). I honestly plan on training here for as long as I am able to keep on punching and moving. Come on in and try it out, you will immediately fall in love with the art of Karate-Do.

After he had lost interest in other sports, we brought our 8-year-old son to this dojo to try karate. Martial arts had been shown to assist with confidence and focus, particularly for children with ADD, ADHD, etc. He never stopped going to classes. Now age 25, karate is a lifelong passion for him. He stopped taking ADHD medications years ago. He has been able to travel and make friends all over the world in competitions. Karate classes are made fun here, especially for the younger students, and there are ongoing social opportunities, holiday parties, etc. for students of all ages and their families. This dojo is a fascinating family--multiple ages, cultures, and past experiences. The management and instructors are topnotch professionals, have been together for years, and are involved in state, national and international karate organizations. The athletes they train hold their own against other karate athletes from any country, but if the competition route is not for you, know that everyone here learns discipline, trust, and self-respect--and has fun doing it!
