Husband and I enjoy coming here, we both used to be trainers when we were younger and worked at many facilities including lifetime. If you’re committed to taking advantage of everything they have to offer then the price is absolutely well worth it.We enjoy cycling, hot yoga, weights, and hot tub/ sauna recovery days.
As someone who has worked in healthcare and the fitness industry, I have been a member at a lot of gyms. Lifetime has consistently been the best and most well rounded across the board since I became a member 11 years ago. I have travelled and been to many different Lifetimes, but the staff, fellow members, and amenities have led to this location being my favorite. It may be more expensive than other options, but it is worth every penny to me.
Are you looking for a 5-star gym with the BEST, and kindest staff out there? Lifetime is the best place to meet all of your work out needs, and become part of their amazing community! Delano, by far the best employee is always ready to greet you with a smile on his face and is a good example of an employee that cares about the customers and their well-being. The facility is clean, and the pricing is very reasonable for all of the amenities associated with it. Best gym ever, period!
I have been a member to almost all gyms. I pay $110 a month but its worth every dollar. Best gym ever!
Love this gym! Ive tried all of the group fitness classes before I set my own schedule. The Spin class instructed by Stan is unlike any spin class Ive every done! Stan keeps you engaged, motives you to spin, and has a great sense of humor!! I continue my membership here bc of his class-well worth your time!! Overall, the gym is well maintained and the staff is welcoming and friendly.
If I could rate this place a 0 I would my friend got a guest pass and they had not allowed him into the facility because it had been past guest hrs where it clearly had not said anywhere on the guest waiver about these hours also supper inconvenient because the lady aka the main manager was talking back and contradicting every statement at the end of this month I will be for sure canceling my member ship and moving to a better local gym trash Rich service less gym
Ive been a member since 2003. The place is officially dated, particularly the weight room equipment. Much of it is basic stuff that seems to be picked for low maintenance or low cost. Very few cable flys, 1 multi station and gen 2 equipment.Oddly when they first opened, they had a much wider array of equipment to make it worth going to.For the 180/mo. for 2 people, its not worth it.
Been a member for year 4-5 years at different club locations. Can count on one hand how many times I’ve experienced worse customer service. Even when they realized they were wrong the still couldn’t manage to say ‘I’m sorry’. However the GM quickly followed up, went above and beyond and corrected the situation. Appreciate the accountability
Well Ive called about three times now most the time I just sit on hold for 3 to 20 minutes and nobody picks up but when they do pick up seems I get a different answer from everybody and I did leave a message the first time nobody ever bothered to call me back so a week later I called them Im just trying to find out if they have swimming classes for adults like deep water aerobics one of the swimming pools open how much does it cost and the last guy I talked to transferred me back to the front desk and they never picked up so I give up
I live this location! It definitely feels like a resort. Only negative is it can get extremely busy making it had to use some of the equipment. Other than that the staff is great and the facilities seem to be well kept and organized.
It makes absolutely no sense that the ladies at the front desk are obese. Not the greatest marketing technique for a company trying to promote fitness and wellness.. Overall pretty decent service.
Hot summer, beautiful day and, once again, family swim is canceled. This is one of the many signs of what a mess this gym has been. A MESS!!All they really are worried about here is hitting their numbers…Gym is always a mess.I pay for something I can’t make plans with. I pay for something I can’t use!!!Not mention there are good staff members but there are also a few staff members that shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near that environment where we envision a healthy, uplifting, positive place.Where am I, at the DMV???On a side note, Lifetime in N Dallas, although much smaller, has a much more solid staff and administration.
One of the largest clubs around, modern and renovated.. overall well maintained! Clean and organized..in a residential area, members are neighborhood families and kids...my favorite is the super large outdoor water slide pool... in the summertime this place is jumping!
Great gym mainly because of the swimming pools, sauna and close to home. I would say it gets packed Mon-Thurs after 5 so I’d avoid coming at that time. I wish they offered swim classes for adults but they don’t unfortunately
Love lifetime! The people who work there. They have best group classes.
I simply love Life Time Fitness. Its 75% Gym, and 25% Resort:)Every time, I visit Life Time, I feel as if Im on Vacation and walking into a 5 star hotel. The gym is always clean and has an open feel about it. The gym has the latest equipment and the staff is always friendly and professional. The steam room, sauna, and pool areas are top notch. No expense was spared. I have had memberships at Presidents, LA Fittness, and 24 Hour Fitness. For me Lifetime is on a higher level. I highly recommend.
Best gym ever, 5 STARS.
This place is more than a gym. It represents a friendly community of people created based on sportsmanship, friendship, collaboration and commitment. I have to thank Cory the manager for his dedication to wellbeing of gym members and his staff. I have been a 10 year member of this gym and my experience has been consistently positive all along. Thank you team lifetime
The staff is very helpful in having you practice safe weightlifting. And will answer all questions if you are not a currently in Personal Training. The facility is clean and top notch. Service,Equipment, and Gym Members are high class
Great facility!!! The best results based gym in DFW…You get what you pay for
Really nice gym. Lots of lifting platforms and really nice pools.Would be a lot nicer if they opened at 3 or 4am (or 24 hours). They open at 6am on the weekends and that doesnt make a lot of sense.
Lifetime overall is good but this location is aging a bit. Pool area is a little grungey and grout is dirty between tiles. They used to be 24 hours but currently hours are terrible (i.e. closing at 9pm on Saturday)Still 4 stars because for the most part lifetime is great. This location is just okay.
There is always so much to do here at LifeTime! You can:SwimDancePlay BasketballRock Climband so much more!LifeTime is perfect for everyone!
First, it seems there COVID happened ages ago. No masks at all, which I understand, but no sanitizers either. But the worst is CUSTOMER SERVICE. AWFUL!!!I decided to join it because my mom and sister are members at the Allen location and they love it.I went last week to the Plano location in around 6:30pm. The guy at the front desk told me that it was after hours and I had to return another day. He said that I could apply online, but I didnt want to because I wanted to use my corporate benefits and understand the classes schedule, etc and through the website you dont get that. ZERO follow-up from the sales team. I called the next day several times during business hours and no answer. Call front desk again and leave a message with the girl for the sales person to call me back so that I could become a member. What I get is an email with the wrong application link and thats it. No further information. I couldnt apply through that link nor got a call back to understand better their services. I called today again, the girl with ZERO desire to explain to me how the plans and services work. All she kept repeating was that she was going to send me the right link. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND WITH A CUSTOMER THAT HAD ALREADY DECIDED TO JOIN! NOW I AM IN SERIOUSLY IN DOUBT IF IT IS WORTH THE EFFORT. ABOUT 5 CALLS INCLUDING ONE VISIT IN-PERSON AND THEY ARE SIMPLY CARELESS. All I know so far is what my sister sold me into it and the website information. And not a member yet. Its been almost a week.
Too busy, most men taking several spots to workout and not letting anyone specially ladies to use. There are two big areas are reserved constantly for group training and that reduces the availability of equipment for many people go to the gym in busy hrs. The account manager who registered me lied for giving me 1hr complimentary massage while it was a private trainer session to have me register for it. I used to like Plano life time in 2012 while I was a member at that time. Now what they only want is money and not providing anything in return. Canceled my membership
Erika, Stan, and Dante are the best teachers I have ever had in a fitness class. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and knowledge are nothing short of excellent. The facility is wonderful and offers many amenities including pools, hot tubs, slides, CrossFit, etc. The events put on by the staff are also fun to attend and participate in. Thanks for all the great workouts!
Amazing staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. Signed up son for swim lessons and working to nail down a trainer for us!
Now open for business again. I love Life Time Fitness because of all it has to offer under one roof. Is it pricy? Absolutely but you get what you pay for. The employees are always helpful the environment is great the cafe has great food selections as well as nutritional products like whey and protein bars. Pictured is the outdoor pool also has an indoor pool and disability assists for folks like myself with disabilities.
Stealing happens in the women’s locker room!!!!! Be aware of your belongings. I lost my shoes:(
Very clean environment the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!
I met very mean sale person! So Im hesitant about joining, because mean employees in front line mean to me bad environment.
Ive been a member since July and have enjoyed the fitness center and the tennis center. The staff is very helpful. The tennis programs are very well run and have very flexible times.
Horrible Horrible Horrible. This gym has been taken over by hordes of teenage boys messing around, misplacing weights, and blocking equipment. Pool is disgusting, unkept, and management is HORRIBLE. From cracks in the ground to stained towels save your money and move to Equinox if you have the extra money. I’ve been a member at EQX for a few months now and all I can say is EQX provides what I was promised at Lifetime. Their team members are so much more respectful and go miles to give you a satisfactory experience. I promise you won’t regret it!
The gym is clean and spacious with lots of class to suit you.
I have been a member for several years now. What I like is that they have all the equipment that you would ever need for a great workout. Because of this, at peak times in the day the place is just too crowded, at least for me. If socializing is your thing then this probably isnt a concern but if not then try to go at off peak. The other annoying thing that comes with a popular place is that people will claim certain equipment and sit there between sets while ready text, email, who knows? but very annoying to say the least. I have zero answers on how to fix this but its they type of behavior that exists at this gym.Nevertheless, Im not switching. I like the place and its convenient to my house.
The gym itself is nice. Clean, have multiple different amenities and a vast range of workout equipment which I love.Plenty of parking and is located in a nice area in town.My biggest issue is with membership services. The front desk staff did not know anything about memberships or pricing. I tried calling and emailing membership services for this location for over 1 month and gave up. Almost 6 weeks into my attempts I received a call from a lady and was told she will call back with more information. Have not heard from her since.
My family had had a membership for many years (since the club was constructed here). Suddenly, they started raising membership fees. Every year, they increased fees and my appeals were rejected. Further, the club became very crowded. As the result, the locker became dirtier and finding a parking space became challenging. The membership fees were not much different from those of Equinox. So, I switched a year ago. I have been so happy.
Lifetime fitness is great for any level of fitness. I had Zach M. as a trainer and he constantly encouraged and challenged me in the gym. The amenities are great as well as the environment. Highly recommend!
Pool is disgusting, stained towels, there is a lady work at the front desk name missy, she should not be allowed anywhere near that place, extremely rude and unprofessional.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY TRASH.
A old lady named Missy works here she’s a mega “Karen” they should fire her def not Lifetime Fitness level material and makes the brand look bad 🤡🤢But besides her everyone and everything bout this gym is great and top notch! Super clean and modern one of the best lifetime fitness locations I have been too!
Incredibly clean, friendly and well-maintained gym and locker room. The showers are always clean and theres always fresh towels available.
Ive recently returned to working out. I was very nervous for a long time, several months. But, I thought Id give it a try. I went super early in the morning to avoid big crowds. They do a great job of keeping everything clean and sanitized. Ive seen been going on a regular basis and even during busier times. Im hopeful they can keep it going and not have to be forced to close it back down
I tried to cancel my membership. They say one month notice. What is that ? Is that a rental agreement?
Clean and well kept. Has everything you need. Way too crowded during peak hours but I guess that’s not their fault.
Wow! This place is huge! Probably one of the largest and newest Premier sports venues Ive been too. We participated in a BSA sponsored climbing event.
They’re very big in discrimination. Horrible customer service, never attending this gym again.
Pros: very large and beautiful facility with state-of-the-art equipment throughout, some things you wouldnt expect from a gym like full-size basketball courts, tennis courts, a cafe, etc, and as someone who values working out enough different equipment to keep anyones routine interesting.Cons: price point is very high if you only use it as a gym, some of their policies around guest passes and things like that seem really petty considering $100 per person membership, and currently their mask enforcement has been very lax given The covid-19 pandemic which is annoying for someone who is trying to take social distancing and masking very seriously.
The club was very active at the time I went, but there was definitely a comfort level supported by plenty of social distance reinforcement and readily available cleaning supplies to wipe down equipment with disinfectant.
This has been my gym for the past couple years. They have everything you need and then some. Weights, cardio, stretching area, etc. The employees here are friendly and always willing to help! They have free day passes you should check it out!
My son was out in Plano at a school for a few months. We joined him up at this gym. Nothing but positives about the place, great weight area, everyone nice, etc.Problem happened when we cancelled the membership. Note he left Plano and moved back home 4 hours away. Anyway we talked to the girl we signed up with, both he and I, on different occasions and were told our membership was canceled everything was fine. Discovered a few months later we were still being charged. Called their office and was told if we didn’t have anything signed our membership was still active. If you go there and leave be sure you get something indicating they’re canceling.
Great service, clean and professionally run
Best Gym & Great Service
LTF is a high-end full-service facility with well-maintained and generally new equipment. The total package represents good value if one takes advantage of their many free classes and activities. LTF also has good customer service. In short, LTF is affordable luxury.
Horribly mismanaged. They’ve shut down basketball courts multiple times even though the upstairs is open. The only reason I’m a member is for the basketball courts and they only seem to care if the upstairs weight room is fully open. I would recommend a different gym.
Love this facility, its clean babe kept, would have given 5 stars..But they have issues answers the phone
Best gym I have ever been a part of. Its definitely expensive, but for me worth it. The pools are top notch.
My home away from home. I love the group classes and, above all, the outdoor pool. The gym equipment is up to date and the installations are always clean
Love the facility and its diverse amenities 😍
Tons of extras ...great staff... 4am its empty no crowds or members in the way... Good equipment too
This place is YOUR gym! Ive been a member for 14 years! When I joined, I had been big and unhappy my whole life and considered medically obese. Lifetime taught me how to work smart and with the many classes included in your membership I was able to try a variety of different fitness formats and finally find things I actually enjoy doing! I got the brunt of my weight off in the first six months and have kept it off over the years through two pregnancies and three surgeries! I love this place and Im so grateful for the way it changed my life! If youre ready to make a change in YOUR life, this is the gym where it happens!
The Best Gym In Tulsa.. 👍
Clean and well kept. Will be back.
These people are crooks. My inactive membership was automatically made active during the covid pandemic. Theyre still trying to charge full price as well, despite their being a pandemic.
Amazing gym great people
Best gym. Wide variety of classes and equipment. My boy loves the Kids Academy.
If you are a student dont work here they take advantage of you. i was literally not paid for almost a month because my boss in the kids center forgot to add me to the system for over a month so I didnt get paid. dont work here they are not professional
I have been a member of lifetime for sometime now. I enjoy their yoga classes very much. In particular I want to mention the classes of Sarn Freiner. She teaches the surrender class which is basically Yin yoga. Sarn’s class is a very therapeutic experience for the body, mind and the soul. Her wisdom shines through in each class as she conducts it. It is a very good practice for developing flexibility and strength. This yin practice with Sarn, is also calming to the mind and one of the best ways to wind up the day - in my opinion. It’s always a full class, and the only complain I have is that there are only three classes a week. Thank you Lifetime and thank you Sarn.
Not serious about COVID-19 and the safety requirements. Mask offs everywhere. Felt unsafe and I cancelled my membership after being a member for over 16 years. There’s other places that do it better than here
Work out or relax, lifetimes the place to be
I wish i worked here 2 get free membership lol. awesome classes, awesome clean gym
Been a member here for a number of years now. They supply you with everything you need & more. Had my first 1on1 training session with Zach Matsumoto today. He is extremely knowledgeable & always happy to help, I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a personal trainer.
Excellent machines upstairs. All machines are high tech and working unlike the lifetime in garland. Great squash program. Yummy cafe. Most importantly it has the best workout vibes. Best lifetime ever. Great service!!!
Great gym, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The equipment is in great condition and there is a variety of free weights and assisted machines.
It is completely unbearable in the indoor pool area the temperature is completely way too hot to be in there .. They don’t even have the Ac on . It’s well over 90° you can’t even use the hot tub or just hang out by the pool Because you will feel a fainting feeling .. I nearly fainted being in there after 10 minutes.... it honestly feels like you’re locked inside of a car in the middle of July ... how could anyone possibly enjoy the indoor pool when it’s excruciatingly hot air with no AC ...
I love the classes at the gym .. also love the child center, salon... food kind of sucks. they need to work on the food quality and taste... And the life time aquatics management sucks big time!! I paid a lot of money about 450 a month for the swimming lessons but to makeup lessons, there is no response... now they have the money so why give me my lessons... its hard to give review for the place in general because i really do love all the group classes. especially strength classes.... but had a really bad experience with the aquatics team management.....
Love this gym!
Great Safe, clean place, nice helpful, friendly people. Machinery is awesome.
I love playing tennis at Lifetime!
Ive Ive been going for almost 3 years now. The trainers are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The machines work and are kept repaired. The facility is clean and kept repaired. It can be expensive but I have found it worth the money.
Best workout gym in Existence. Period!
Great staff. Love the pools and sauna, everything
Really nice and neat place for a morning routine. Great energy. Friendly staff. Much better than their location in Garland.
The sauna is consistently broken and never hot enough. For $100 a month in monthly membership fees, you would think they would ensure the only dry sauna in the entire facility functions properly. The ideal sauna temperature is 180 and this sauna has NEVER been at that temperature. It has been subpar for over a year. If a sauna is important to you, find another gym.
I came to LT Fitness Plano with the sole desire to use their aquatic facilities. I have a gym at my apartment but we dont have a pool. I visited in person to talk to the aquatics manager. He wasnt there at the time so I spoke with the membership people. Like most gyms, LT was eager to get me to enroll as soon as possible (which was fine). However, I wanted to wait until I received confirmation about their swim program. Sadly after many attempts to get this information and months of waiting, I have never received anything. Yes, I did follow up with an email and tried calling. This review is not an evaluation of the facility but my experience with the customer service. Im sure its a nice gym. However, I will be looking elsewhere for a facility with a pool.
I cannot say enough good things about this Life Time location. They have taken care of us since the minute we joined and I can honestly say each employee I encounter on a daily basis is kind, welcoming, helpful and encouraging. I really appreciate each and every one of them and thank y’all for all you do.
Excellent deal! Great equipment and very clean!
Very well operated during the Covid transition, would love to see any discounts for military veterans like myself but outside of that I love it
Well, I guess we wont be going here.
Great family gym that has lots of amenities. They keep the gym very clean and do updates as needed. Things they could address: Prices continue to rise and they really arent competitive anymore. Need an indoor walking/running track upstairs(could be on perimeter walls)and a separate pool area for toddlers(you can imagine why) as main pool frequently shuts down from accidents These comments apply to all Lifetime gyms, not just Plano
My first time here and I cant emphasize enough how much they care about everyone who walks in the door. I broke down in a class today but the instructor took time to talk to me as well as the manager. When i walked in, i didnt think I was strong enough to get through my current situation but with them behind me, I know that I can.
