He has had to fix my computer now twice, water damage and locked out the first time then dogs spilled a whole sprite on the computer! He also fixed the port on my sons switch

I had my (precious) iPad Pro repaired—the screen was kaput. The team did an absolutely flawless job. The repair was done quickly during the holidays and for a hundred bucks less than what Apple wanted for the same repair. Claims to be IT Service and Computer Repair, but I would not trust him with either! It appears that his company used to only fix iphones, so they may be able to do that, but thats about it. He tried to expand his business into computer repair and, IMHO, he does not have the skills needed to do so. Use him at your own risk!I called first and talked with Gary (owner). After much discussion, he finally gave me a price for what I was wanting done - replacing my failing SSD (solid disk drive). Im in IT, so I was very specific about what I needed in this iMac repair. After arriving, I found it run by Gary only and so he kept having to answer the phone while we were discussing my repair. Hed answered and discussed repair issues with 3 separate callers in the time I was there! So I was in his store for nearly an hour!But my biggest issue is that Gary is not trustworthy, and I told him so. He wouldnt honor the quote he gave me on the phone, saying that he didnt know for sure what needed to be done for my iMac. I told him that I was very specific - replace the SSD. Thats it. He kept wanting to replace my HDD instead, which was less than 2 years old and not failing.Had I just left it all up to him (the supposed expert), hed have replaced a fairly new and working drive and left the failing drive in the computer. He said most people just replace the HDD with an SDD - but I explained to him how doing that would make my iMac run much slower (as that SDD would NOT be on the circuit board, enabling fast accesses).He didnt even know how to tell which part of the fusion drive was failing (the SSD or the HDD). I had to show him (and prove it to him) that the SSD was what was failing. If someone doesnt even know how to tell which drive is bad, he should NOT be repairing computers!!!!He doesnt have the experience necessary to repair Macs. He will act like he does, but your repair may slow down your machine or even damage it depending on what he chooses to do (without having proper knowledge).Hes also not trustworthy, as he quotes one price and then claims he cant do it for that price. I also dont trust all these good reviews on google - suspect many are bogus (you can create many accounts on google). Look at the reviews on Yelp and other sites, they are more inline with my experience with this business.

2011 iMac is now better than new. Replaced screen, drive, and cleaned it out. Only problem was that then fan ran too fast, but I fixed this with SSD fan controller, downloaded free. Much better than any alternative I could find.

Beware! Took my Mac computer in for repair. The guy who took it commented it was in remarkably good shape. When I picked it up, I noticed it looked more beat up. Once I got it home, I double checked and the serial number was different. I called the idiot who took it and he swore it was the same computer. My twelve year old knew it wasn’t the same computer. Watch out and take a picture of your serial number. Too many other options out there to go to this third world, hack repair shop.

Due to this Pandemic of COVID-19, I was unable to visit an Apple store and Best Buy couldnt help me with my iPhone problem. I had a battery charged case that snapped off into the charging port that got stuck in.Sohel was to repair my iphone within 20 minutes while Apple said to ship it out and I would be without a phone for a week...I highly recommend using Mac Repair in Plano, TX

My 2012 Macbook Pro had an issue with the hard disk drive and the battery and Sohel was very knowledgeable on the problems mentioned above, giving me options on how best to proceed, which in turn saved me a (very expensive) trip to the Apple Store.

I don’t believe I have ever been so disappointed with level of/lack of expertise.I have them a solution they ignored. End result? No computer for days to work and earn. Then after 3 days they finally decide to use my suggestion. Working computer, yes. 3 days lost wages and finding out you’re smarter than the tech? Frustrating as can be. Save your time and sanity and find somewhere else. You’ll be glad you did...

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Do not take your device here if you want adequate service and follow ups. I brought my moms phone in on April 15th and Depika was the person helping us through the ordeal. He said we would know what the problem is by the end of the day. We receive no call, I end up calling him everyday asking for an update and for 3 whole days he had no update, only that the phone was in a lab in Dallas being diagnosed... I don’t know what lab he’s talking about but we checked the phones location and it was in an apartment in Garland. My dad went into the shop angry one day and demanded he get my moms phone back and couldn’t, Depika called me to complain and simply lied about my dad cussing him out and cutting people in line when there was simple no one there and the harshest thing my dad said was he will call the cops. Depika called me afterwards to complain about my dad which is reasonable, BUT what’s not reasonable is no follow up on my moms phones whereabouts or anything! He wouldn’t even let me get a word in before he started accusing me of not letting him do his job and saying I don’t understand. What I understand is if you tell a customer you will call them today, call them today. Plain and simple, but Depika told me over the phone he didn’t need someone to tell him how to do his job that he’s been doing for 7 years. Well if he’s been doing this for 7 years he might need a catch up course on customer service because it’s terrible, sad actually. We picked up our phone free of charge and luckily we had the serial number to check that it was our phone. Basically just don’t come here, customer service was terrible and our phone was in an apartment complex for 2 nights.

These are the people to call. Very knowledgeable, explains everything in detail. Does a fast, accurate job and doesnt try to talk you into any services or products you dont need. Ive used these people and they quickly found and corrected my computer issues. Also all of the staff are nice, friendly, easy to talk to.

Quick and affordable than apple storeI cracked my phone and it was like new in 15 minutes! The lady that helped me was super friendly and extremely helpful. They had a nice and clean waiting room (although it wasnt much of a wait). Got myself a tempered glass screen protector as well. I would definitely recommend this repair shop because of the great service, convenience and reasonable prices!

These guys held on to my laptop for over a week, just to tell me they had no idea what the problem was.I had a high school employee take a look at it, and fixed it in 3 hours.They never called back for an update like they promised.These guys are the most unprofessional group of people i ever met.

Customer service skills are lacking. I am very impatient, I know this ... but I asked for him to call me at least 7 different times.. just for a status I work from home and dont handle change well.. not remembering passwords and such.. to use another machine.

We were charged upfront for a 10 hour battery replacement for our laptop that is holding the charge for less than a few hours. No one is answering or returning our calls. Very disappointed in the lack of response. We do expect a call from you and for this issue to be resolved.

Do not go to this place! I took my iphone to repair a cracked screen and the guy ended up messing up my home button sensor. I paid $108 and after messing up my phone he refused to reimburse my money back. Poor, poor customer service! Go to a business that will guarantee the work their work. This place is not good at all. I hope my bad experience can save you a headache and your money. Stay away from this place.

I took my MacBook to Mac repair Plano after it crashed when trying to update the latest software. I never had any trouble with my computer before, and I was so worried of not having backed up a lot of my data on my Laptop. I called Apple initially however they were not of any help, and said it would be over a week or Amy be 10 days before I could get an appointment directly with them to have it looked at. Mac repair Plano had just two days turn around time, and managed to save my laptop with all of the data intact! It is now better than new! I cant thank them enough! Very happy customer :) These guys are awesome! Highly recommend!

Stay away from this repair shop, especially if you have any intention of having what you are quoted being actually done to your machine. I took my 27 imac in for them to diagnose and was told that my graphics card had burned out and the only way to repair was to replace the entire logic board. I was perfectly fine with this and insisted that I was only interested in a board with the same or better specs for the replacement. i was quoted 550$ total for the board replacement. roughly 2 weeks later I was sent the specs for a replacement board that had less specs than what i required so i declined to move forward with that part. i was told they would continue to look for a different board. about 3 weeks later i was sent the specs for a board that had a much larger processor and better overall specs than my previous so i agreed that that was the part to move forward with. after about 2 weeks i got a call saying my machine was ready to be picked up, i went to the store to get it and it would not boot. after about 30 min of waiting i decided to leave and they said they would look back into it. shortly after leaving i got a call stating they think its the Hard drive. mind you prior to dropping it off for repair i had just put a brand new 1TB SSD in it so i knew it was not the hard drive. they claimed it would boot with no issue from an external but what good does that do me?I told them they needed to dig deeper and figure out what the issue was. i got a call 12/3/2018 saying they figured the issue out and that it was the Hard drive enclosure that caused the problem. they removed it and it booted just fine. cool. i go and verify the repair, pay, and take my computer home today 12/6/2018 and low and behold the computer still has the same (previous) processor and specs but come to find out a replacement graphics card. so i call back to the store to find out why i was charged for an entire logic board replacement when one was in fact never completed? they proceeded to claim that they told me this and that the cost for the graphics card replacement is the same as the entire logic board replacement which i know is absolute BS. after arguing with them for 30 min about the service and them trying to justify their mistake i was then told that i could just bring my machine back and they will take the parts back out, return it to previous and refund my money so i can take it else where?!?!? what kind of customer service is that? theyve had my machine for over a month and a half and this is how you treat a paying customer? I will never in my life patronize this business again and if i were you i wouldnt even think about going there either.Dont be surprised if they leave some sly response to this below either like they did for their other negative feedback left by other customers..

Im a professional developer and even an hour without my computer can cost me hundreds of dollars in lost productivity or billing. I type so much i wear out keyboards and have to replace them once or twice before upgrading my laptop.This new model of MacBook Pro simply wont allow a simple keyboard swap. Apple said I had to replace the entire top case for about $600 AND I would have to take it to an Apple Store or repair center which would take 5-7 days.This was unacceptable. (I would have paid the $600 if they could turn it around in a few hours, however).Well, not only was Mac Repair able to replace the keyboard in a few hours, but it cost several hundred dollars less than what Apple was quoting because they replaced just the keyboard, not the entire top case that included the electronics and trackpad.I also had to get my batteries replaced, and if you know the MacBook, you know that is a big deal. The batteries were so puffed out that it burst the bottom of the notebook and popped out the screws. All a happy ending, they kept me appraised and one of the batteries did burst, but they were able to save my motherboard.Wow, just wow. Dont call anybody else. Save your time. They have a customer for life in me.

The glass screen on my Mac Book pro shattered. I was devastated because I heard a repair like this through Apple would be about $500. I did some research and found Mac Repair Plano. Their quote for my repair was $199.Mac Repair Plano was FAST. I got my computer back and the screen is as good as new!

Mac Repair Plano did a great job of troubleshooting my Mac Airbook after I replaced the battery. They found out I hadnt seated the battery correctlyduring my installation and fixed it for no charge. I picked it up less than 3 hours after I dropped it off

My old 15 MacBook Pros trackpad buttons dont work anymore. They analyzed the problem and tells me the internal battery was swollen (pushing against the button) and needed replacing. They had one in stock but would take a few hours to replace (because the battery was glued and needed a heat gun to unglue it). This was Saturday afternoon, they were busy with other repairs, and told me it would be ready on Monday (they were closed on Sunday). I really didnt want to be without my MacBook for two days. As a favor, they were going to expedite the repair and open their store on Sunday just so I can get it sooner. I really appreciate them going the extra effort to satisfy their customers.

Dealt with Dee recently because i had to get my iMac back to normal.First i started my search at Apple who wanted me to wait 3 hours just to get an appointment. Then i went to another well known Company who stated Lcd needs to be replaced, changed it went home had same issue again.Went back, they said power supply, changed it and same issues again.I almost had three repair done their in same iMac but it was not fixing my problem. So i stopped even calling them.Finally i thought i would give a last try in Mac Repair Plano. They diagnosed and fixed my iMac in almost half the price then what everyone else quoted and now it is working perfectly fine since then.Thankyou Techs. You are life savers!

The service was terrible. I had to initiate all conversations with them. They never called to tell me the problem. I called after a week to find out the problem. Another week later I had to call to find out when it would be ready. She said tomorrow. I showed up at 2:00 PM that day. At 3:30 I finally had my computer...with a replaced hard drive I was never told about. And I had to pay $300 for all this.Im sure glad they dont do auto repair. Imagine being without your car for 2 weeks and getting next to no information. Then when you arrive to pick it up, theyre still reassembling it. Needless to say, Ill never be back and Ill never recommend them.

I could only feel iphone vibrate while putting on charge. I had very little hope for my iphone. My screen was super cracked, and found this place through google/yelp. Brought my computer in the store last Thursday, and picked it up earlier today (Monday). Very painless process! They even replaced my two broken keys, that the mac store quoted me at $800 as they would have had to replace the entire keyboard, for free! Will come again for any other computer woes.

First off, it should be noted that Mac Repair Plano is NOT an authorized, Apple-certified repair shop (though you wouldnt know it from their signage unless you read the fine print - I certainly didnt). Letting them open your Apple product will likely void any warranty.I brought in a 2011 Macbook Pro for repair, and waited two weeks for a diagnosis and estimate. Promised phone calls never came. I eventually lost confidence and went to pick up the unrepaired laptop. At that time, the technician told me hed finally located the necessary part for repair and it would cost $475. (Its worth noting that their paperwork is also filled with disclaimers which release them from any reasonable responsibility or liability for their repairs.)I passed, paid $75 for the diagnostic services rendered, and took my Macbook to a different (and Apple-certified) service provider - MacTracks. There, they found that my laptop hadnt even been reassembled correctly by Mac Repair Plano - and also found that the necessary repair (a replacement logic board) was fully covered under an Apple recall program for a bad part - even though the laptop was long out of warranty. My cost for the repair: $0.The young man I worked with at Mac Repair Plano seemed pleasant enough and Im not in any way suggesting that the business lacks integrity (other reviewers seem to have had good experiences). But they are clearly a small operation, easily overwhelmed, not Apple-certified, and not whom I will use in the future for my important electronics.
